Two songs for The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles respectively plus one WIP for Life, Despair & Monsters. You can listen and read these below the cut:
In The UnTitledverse, I've got a trilogy of DOOM WIPs (moreso focusing on the DOOM (2016) and DOOM: Eternal games, with references to the previous ones) creatively called DOOMed, it's prequel DOOMed: From The Start and the sequel DOOMed: Forth Til Eternity. This song though focuses on DOOMed: From The Start, which pretty much follows the events leading up to DOOMed. Furthermore, there are some OCs, some characters mentioned in this game (either by recording, data or dialogue) that will be present too AND as well as Olivia and Hayden. This is like a sitcom months before disaster strikes. Listen below:
youtube
"One, two, three, four
La, la-la, la-la-la, la La, la-la, la-la-la
Whatever happened to predictability? The milk man, the paper boy, the evening TV? How did I get delivered here? Somebody tell me please Cause this old world is just really confusing me
Clouds as mean as you've ever seen Ain't a bird that knows your tune Then, a little voice of you whispers "Kid, don't sell your dreams so soon!"
Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There's a heart (there's a heart), a hand to hold on to Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There's a face (there's a face), somebody who needs you
La, la-la, la-la-la, la La, la-la, la-la-la
Whatever happened to the good ol' days? Talking to friends for hours, swore it'd never go away Now, I'm feeling a little crazy, trying to fit in with a scene 'Cause how do you know where you're going, if you really don't know who you've been?
Everybody, eventually Says they are as lost as you So everybody, shout it together "Hey, don't sell your dreams so soon!"
Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There's a heart (there's a heart), a hand to hold on to Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There's a face (there's a face), somebody who needs you Everywhere you look, everywhere you go There's a heart (there's a heart), a hand to hold on to Everywhere you look, yeah
When you're lost out there, and you're all alone A light is waiting to carry you home Everywhere you look."
Keeping to Six Of Crows central theme, my How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? WIP explores it a bit more (with the addition of Isiah Popov and Gemini Teal apart of the Dregs). Anyway, this song definitely fits the theme of the book and WIP, even if its light tone hides the dark side in these two. Have a listen below:

"So no one told you life was gonna be this way Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA It's like you're always stuck in second gear When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year
But I'll be there for you (When the rain starts to pour) I'll be there for you (Like I've been there before) I'll be there for you ('Cause you're there for me too)
You're still in bed at ten and work began at eight You've burned your breakfast, so far things are going great Your mother warned you there'd be days like these Oh, but she didn't tell you when the world has brought You down to your knees that
I'll be there for you (When the rain starts to pour) I'll be there for you (Like I've been there before) I'll be there for you ('Cause you're there for me too)
No one could ever know me No one could ever see me Seems you're the only one who knows What it's like to be me Someone to face the day with Make it through all the rest with Someone I'll always laugh with Even at my worst, I'm best with you, yeah
It's like you're always stuck in second gear When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year
I'll be there for you (When the rain starts to pour) I'll be there for you (Like I've been there before) I'll be there for you ('Cause you're there for me too)
I'll be there for you I'll be there for you I'll be there for you 'Cause you're there for me too!"
Here's a WIP for my House Of The Dragon WIP The Thorned Crown Of Iron Thrones. Takes place weeks after both Aemma's death and Viserys marriage/consummation to Alicent. Corvus is stressing over the new tension between Rhaenyra and Alicent, but unluckily he finds solace with one noble Sir Enigma Malvolio, whose may be a tad strange but he's giving Corvus some floral remedies in the form of tea so he'll endure it; enjoy a history lesson from Malvolio below: [A/N Hey guys, if you noticed that this snippet is a bit clunky, that's because I had been sick at the time of writing the chapter it belongs to, so I wasn't at my best when I wrote this. Still feeling the after effects now even, but I should be fully recovered by tomorrow. Enjoy!]
"You know," Sir Enigma broke the awkward pause, back still to Corvus as he boiled more of the red petals, "There's an old wives tale about these flowers. Say, have you ever heard of the legend of the Court King, your highness?"
Corvus paused mid-sip, the floral scent of the tea clinging to the steam coming out of the cup and assaulting his nose. It was strong, certainly, but something that wasn't uninviting. The sharp taste and scent was both distracting and calming his nerves. Exactly what he had sought out.
"I can't say I have, Sir Enigma," Corvus politely told the older man, finding nothing he could remember about such a name, "Who was he?"
Sir Enigma glanced to him and gave a cheerful grin, something Corvus was unsure was supposed to be inviting. He found it rather unnerving, but refrained from speaking up.
"I thought as much. You won't find anyone around here who'd know the tale by heart. The Court King," Sir Enigma smacked his lips as he began, "is more of a myth in my personal opinion. But I've learned there is always merit to any story passed down rumor by rumor. The tough part would be discerning fact from fiction."
He took the kettle off his small stove, placing it back on the tray. He brought it over to the small table between them, along with setting down his cap to face Corvus as Sir Enigma reclaimed the tea cup he was drinking from earlier. Corvus would think the other man would refill it with the hotter brew, but didn't bring attention to it. He saw no reason to it.
After Sir Enigma took a sip from his cup, he sighed in satisfaction, looked to Corvus with his dark eyes and gleefully continued, "From what I could find, the Court King was a ruler who reigned over many lands with the help of his competent cohort, whom some say he carefully selected himself."
"Hence the name "Court King"?" Corvus questioned, though internally kicked himself for interrupting the nobleman. When Sir Enigma regarded him with an inquisitive gaze, Corvus stuttered out, "S-since he was the head of a- of a court? And royalty?"
Sir Enigma pondered over Corvus words, and hummed, "Well... that's certainly one way to look at it."
"Though I don't think the name matters as much as the being holding it," Sir Enigma admitted after another sip, "From what I've heard, he wasn't of any royalty. In fact, he was more a conqueror. Like your Aegon. Just more successful."
Corvus widened his eyes in shock at Sir Enigma's assertion. The nobleman just sipped on more of his tea as if he hadn't stated something so controversial about the family the Targaryen prince belonged to, adopted status notwithstanding.
He couldn't fathom how Sir Enigma could say Aegon the Conqueror's conquests were lesser than a person who may not even exist.
"What... makes you say that?" Corvus asked, swallowing down his nervousness. He wasn't wrong about this tea, he thought to himself, It seems to rejuvenate me with an energy to speak up.
Sir Enigma snickered at Corvus reaction, and added, "I mean no offense to your family's history, your majesty. But compared to the stories I've heard about your forefather and what I could learn about the Court King, the latter had accomplished a lot more. After all, what bigger conquest can one accomplish but the world's?"
Corvus blinked at Sir Enigma, processing the baffling information he was listening to. The World?! The very idea of someone even coming close to accomplishing such a feat was preposterous to the prince. He's already sat through meetings of father's council struggling to figure out how to approach diplomacy with the likes of Uncle Daemon, he didn't have confidence that they alone could take on the less amicable kingdoms.
Now, he was thoroughly intrigued about this Court King, "Did- did he succeed?"
"In the conquests?" Sir Enigma raised a brow, and Corvus nodded, "Well of course he did. He was fucking ruthless, and most importantly, extremely ambitious in his goal. He left no stone unturned. He wore a mask to hide his face, never disclosing his name so his enemies were unable to curse him beyond death. If what I had learned was true, some say he was akin to a God. Or perhaps gifted by them. It's said he ruled for a life time. Beyond what was even possible for a human; conjuring storms while he was at it. He tamed dragons and flew without their aid. He was fueled by divine magic and as strong as a hundred armies."
Corvus sat in shock, so much so that he broke from it when he lost his grip on his tea cup. It fell to the stone floor, shattering and spilling the red-tinted liquid everywhere. He gave an apologetic gaze to Sir Enigma, but the man didn't seem bothered as he was mid-way through pouring another steaming tea into a new cup.
Taking the new cup with both hands, he gave his thanks as he tried to find a way to form his thoughts coherently into words.
"Did he really do it?" he asked. Sir Enigma responded with a raised brow, so Corvus elaborated, "All of what you just said."
Sir Enigma gave a smile, and a chuckle as he stated, "Of course not. It's all bullshit. No person is capable of living forever, blessed with god-like powers, taming fucking dragons. Only Targaryens and Velaryons can achieve such a feat, which the Court King was neither. In all likelihood, if he ever did exist, he was replaced generation after generation, keeping up the illusion of a god that ruled over the lands for eternity. With a dragon rider of his own probably."
Oh, Corvus cringed, thinking himself a gullible fool.
Sir Enigma showed mercy on him though, not regarding him with ridicule, "Don't beat yourself up so much, your highness. Tales are meant to wind people up, make them believe in the impossible. The Court King's just another in a sea of a thousand more. Flattering stories to feed the egos of dead people. You'll get used to it."
Corvus accepted the nobleman's words without resistance, though he did have a burning question.
"How... do the flowers play into this though?" Corvus inquired.
Sir Enigma looked at the prince, puzzled. Until his eyes widened in realization, "Oh right, almost forgot."
He clears his throat as he continues, "You see, the more mythical parts of this tale state that the Court King's reign long reign had ended at one point. From what I learned, the Court King had been betrayed by his cohort during a particularly big war, leading to his demise. Staying true to his image of divinity, its stated that once his corpse fell, a hundred-thousand red flowers bloomed across the battlefield, rooting itself in anything it could."
"Some say these flowers contained the Court King's courage. Others had the belief that the petals held divine properties belonging to the Court King. There were a few who believed that the flora should be preserved and revered, as they held the Court King's spirit. The commonality between all three claims was that by consuming the flowers, you attain his power," Sir Enigma explained with a roll of his eyes, "Hence the name. The Court King's Favors. Of course, his cohorts hadn't liked such a idea, and some of the more paranoid ones went on to purge the flowers from existence. Where there had been hundreds of thousands, now remains only thirty. Or, well, twenty-eight."
Corvus wasn't sure if he was supposed to cringe at that, but Sir Enigma hadn't seemed to discourage him from drinking the tea full of the favors.
"Now you must understand the ridiculous of such claims. More than likely those flowers merely rejuvenated people with medicinal properties," Sir Enigma disclosed, and Corvus couldn't disagree there. The tea did put to rest his fears and anxieties, much to his relief. Even if the tale was all myth, he couldn't say he didn't see why people believed in it.
"Want to know what else I learned from this tale?" Sir Enigma spoke up, catching Corvus attention. Once the prince gave him a nod to continue, Sir Enigma continued, "Rumor has it, that the corpse of the Court King is held deep in the catacombs of a tomb, somewhere under here. King's Landing itself."
Corvus tensed at Sir Enigma's words, finishing off his tea as he leaned in to softly ask, "Is- is that true? Or just another myth?"
Sir Enigma, though seeming to have all the answers, merely shrugged here, "I never got a concrete answer, so who knows? But it'd be quite a discovery, wouldn't you agree?"
As Corvus wondered over the Court King's legend, pondering on such a unique character, even if he was myth, Sir Enigma broke him out of his thoughts as he offered the kettle.
"Would you like more?" the nobleman asked, "The Court King's legend may be a myth, but his favor does grant you courage in times of strife. If you believe enough, that is. Do you believe, Corvus?"
The prince looked to and from the tea cup in his hands and the kettle in Sir Enigma's. His mind thought back to the recent tragedy weeks ago of mother's death, and the straining gap between his sister and the sweet Lady Alicent. He didn't know how to fix that, and could barely comfort father in his time of need.
He could need a little courage, if not for himself, then to help his family. With his mind made up, he brought his cup forward to a grinning Malvolio, watching as the dark red tainted liquid filled his cup for a third time.

The Plot Synopses of The Silver Chronicles
WILL UPDATE WHEN NECESSARY AND WHEN THERE'S MORE TO ADD!
Main Stories
Silva's Hope (Far Cry 5) - Junior Deputy Silva Omar, despite being two months into the job, is selected as part of an arrest party by the Marshal and Sheriff to bring in the cult leader of the Project of Eden's Gate, the infamous Joseph Seed; a so-called prophet who can hear the Voice of God. Unsuccessful in the arrest attempt, the cult takes over Hope County, and Silva is tasked to form a Resistance to bring down Joseph Seed and his family. Although up to the task at first, the longer the war goes on, the further the sorrow she hides unravels, to both allies and enemies alike.
La Última En Pie (FC5/The Bone Season/Mermaids Of Eriana Kwai/The Priory Of The Orange Tree/The Locked Tomb/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure crossover) - Set three years before Silva's Hope, Sylvester has managed a stable life in Hope County, raising her five-year-old daughter Persephone on the principles and morals she was taught. However, this life is shaken after a familiar presence re-enters her life... but he's changed, and will change her too.
Old Dusk (Far Cry: New Dawn) - It has been 17 years after the bombs dropped in America, and Ezekiel, a Captain of Security, joins Thomas Rush around the remaining states of America to begin rebuilding; including one distressed message from what was once Hope County. Surviving an ambush set by the Highwaymen, Ezekiel aids the citizens of Prosperity into fighting back against the Twins, Mickey and Lou, as well as their anonymous benefactor. Ezekiel finds out more about the history of Hope County... and reunites with an old friend.
Call To Arms (Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Original + Reboot) - This duology will follow the missions of Taskforce 141 through the eyes of Nadi "Quokka" Sinclair, a sharpshooter of the 22nd SAS Regiment. The first fic will focus on Nadi and John "Soap" MacTavish as they are mentored by Captain John Price and Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick as they double tag against enemies such as the Russian Ultranationalists and the Al-Qatala. The second fic focuses on Nadi and Soap as the latter leads Taskforce 141 in their search for Price, hunting down Makarov and avoid World War 3.
Ain't It A Joy? (We Happy Few) - Alexander Khaos was born and raised in the lively city of Wellington Wells, the happiest place in England. He lives his day with a smile on his face and positive attitude; as long as he takes his daily dose of Joy! But what happens when his Joy takes less and less effect on him... and the city he lives in doesn't look so lively anymore...
No One's Safe At Home (Welcome To The Game) - The Deep Web is full of sick and deranged individuals; a cesspool where evil crowd and hunt unsuspecting prey. And yet, if the monsters hunt on the web, is it safe to say someone can use it to hunt them back?
How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? (The Grishaverse) - Down on their luck criminals Isiah Popov and Gemini Teal reluctantly take up a gig together after master thief Kaz Brekker lends an offer they couldn't refuse; to aid the Dregs in the heist of Ketterdam's richest criminal kingpins by breaking into the toughest prison to retrieve their money-maker.
Hematophobia: Fear The Paleblood (Bloodborne) - Tobias Jäger accompanies his younger sister, Caroline Jäger, to the one place that can give her the life-saving treatment she needs; Yharnam, the city of blood ministration, governed by the mystic Healing Church. Both brother and sister sign away their lives in order to save the other pain... only to discover they are now indebted to the call of the Hunt, and the madness of the long night ahead. Only the Gods, pray they have mercy, can decide how their fates end.
By The Gold Of Grace (Elden Ring) - "These fallen leaves tell a story: of a Tarnished of No Renown, the first to be blessed by Grace to return to our home across the fog, the Lands Between. To repair the shattered shards of the Elden Ring, to slay the mad offspring of our Goddess, to release Queen Marika the Eternal from her miserable imprisonment. To burn his fair maiden, and claim the rightful title of Elden Lord. But this story shares not his victories, only his failure... and yet, succession..."
Weave The Threads Of Blood (Elden Ring) - Awoken in a world breaking apart from the decay of war and despair, the Tarnished are called back by Marika's Grace to ascend the throne of the Golden Order, as the Elden Lord who will mend the Elden Ring, after they slaughter the Queen's Demigod children, all blinded and maddened by their ambitions. Some Tarnished seek glory. Others seek redemption. And Chiwa doesn't know shit on what's going on nor how she got there in the first place. And yet, the All-Seeing Mage, another Tarnished by the name of Selke, believes against all probability that Chiwa is the Lands Between's best hope. Torrent approves. Chiwa and Melina do not share the same sentiments.
Additional fics below the cut are of questionable canon are mostly oneshots or AUs that certainly expand the world but do not follow same continuity of the events of the main fics above:
The Deputy Side Stories/Alternate Universes
The Years In Hope County (Far Cry 5) - A collection of slice-of-life short stories of the occupants of Hope County, following the 2023 September Prompts challenge.
Boa Lurking In The Bliss Year Of The OTP 2025 - 2025 prompts for my favorite OTP of this series, Boa Lurking In The Bliss, also known as Silva Omar x Faith Seed.
4 Times Silva Unintentionally Exposed Herself To Faith (And The 1 Time Faith Did It Herself On Purpose) - Four times Faith found Silva exposed in a compromised state, and the one time Faith resolved the sexual tension herself.
A Difficult Choice To Live With - Joseph Seed offers Silva a choice; marry John or Jacob. In a panic, Silva makes an impulsive decision.
A Real Family - Jacob was dying. Then he wasn't. Fate seemed to look kindly on Jacob for once as he's saved from certain death by the local recluse, Silva Omar and her adopted daughter, Azriel. Unbeknownst to Silva, this earns her the Seed Family's favor.
Two Tales Of Two Rooks - Rook joins the Hope County Sheriff's Department as a Junior Deputy, and is mentored by Deputy Silva Omar. However, when conflicts with Eden's Gate worsens, ideals clash, especially involving one Joseph Seed.
A Trial Of Faith - Deputy Silva Omar is knee-deep in a war between the local Hope County residents and the Project at Eden's Gate, and the most concerned she gets is when the visage of the very much alive Seed's sister, Faith, begins haunting her.
A Truce, As Null And Void As Yourself - During a truce meeting, Joseph proposes an outrageous offer; peace in exchange for Silva's hand in marriage with the eldest Seed brother.
Again And Again (Until It's Done Right) - Silva dies and lives and suffers and pushes against the loops of time as she tries everything she can to save Faith (and by extension, her brothers), to end an unending war that only she can experience.
All Yours - Silva seeks out a prepper stash in an old mine in Holland Valley, only to fall in a cave filled with Bliss. Experiencing what she believes to be hallucinations of Faith, she gives into the chance to indulge in a sexual fantasy... or is it?
Always The Last One Standing - The Collapse came, and Silva is captive in a bunker stolen by Joseph Seed. She wants to escape, to get back to something, using whatever she can to get Joseph to release her... including the true fates of his siblings and their whereabouts.
Awaiting The World's End - A month has passed since the death of Persephone, and Silva wishes for this suffering to end. On a cliff side, she encounters one Faith Seed, and offered a place into the paradise called Eden alongside the Seed Family.
Back To Me (As It Was Meant To Be) - Imagine Silva's surprise that her ex-girlfriend joined the cult lead by a man she's supposed to arrest... and how feelings may not be so dead after all.
Before The New Dawn - What if Silva followed the events of the canon game?
Behind Those Angel Eyes (Is A Devil In Disguise) - With Joseph's pressure on her shoulders, and the Resistance pushing against Eden's Gate further, Faith targets a weakness Silva has... an attraction for pretty green-eyed girls.
Blessed Are The Avenged, For Their Retribution Shall Bring Solace - Father Adam Omar publicly executes Silva as a show of power, only to unintentionally strengthen the ties between the Resistance and Eden's Gate with one mutual mission in mind; vengeance
Be More Open Minded, I Still Have Feelings - What if Eden's Gate wasn't as accepting as canon? Well, Silva's about to raise hell in a different way.
I Came Back For You - After a rather harsh dispute, Silva doesn't return to Kamski's Clinic for weeks on end. Which is fine! Kamski's not worried at all. He's very much not fearing for the worse, nor does he think Silva is in any danger at all. Kamski only has his radio on in case he hears Eden's Gate closing in on him, not to hear any word from the silence Silva is giving him. Not at all.
Delightful - Silva learns why Faith calls it "The Bliss".
Earn Each Breath - Faith wants to try out breath-play. Silva... isn't against it.
Faithful - Silva Omar has always had a complicated relationship with faith. In her childhood, her adolescence, to her time in Hope County and during the Reaping. Seventeen years after the Collapse hasn't changed much... or has it?
The Silver Chronicles Drabbles - A collection of small oneshots for many characters throughout the stories of The Silver Chronicles.
The Silver Chronicles Smut Drabbles/Kinktober Prompts - A collection of smut drabbles with various characters from The Silver Chronicles.
Fate Tempts You - When Elsa dies at eight-years-old, a nine-year-old Silva is left alone with her abusive and neglectful father in a house that doesn't feel like home. Until one night, which will be the beginning of many more, she hears the song of the Fae... and makes a friend in spite of the warnings.
Gasp For Air - Waterboarding isn't sexy, Silva concurs. At least, not when John does it to her. Faith, on the other hand...
Generosity - Silva's wounded, and Faith offers a hand. They ignore the tension that emits around them.
Hands On Bare Skin - The first thing Faith notices about Silva, with nothing hiding their naked bodies from their searching eyes, was not the undamaged skin. No, it was the lack of that caught her notice.
Heed To The Sound Of Her Call - Silva can't risk Faith being harmed during the arrest. So she betrays her morals; and her loyalties.
I will not harbour thoughts of Death nor Carnage as your Harbinger, nor will I judge as a Judge of your making - Nadi and Alexander team up and manage to tag and bag Silva on the night of the arrest. The Seeds begin the recruitment process with her, which proves to be easier said than done. Meanwhile, Joey begins to build up a Resistance, while holding Kamski back from laying waste to the county.
I'm Broken (Put Me Back Together Again) - During the Confession with the elusive Deputy, John inadvertently sets off a trauma trigger, a horrifying experience for both her and John alike.
In Our Memories - Silva dies, and everyone who knew her don't know how to grieve... or move on.
Isn't It Lovely (All Alone)? Heart Made Of Glass (Mind of Stone). Tear Me To Pieces (Skin The Bone). Hello... (Welcome Home...) - The scars that Silva harbors inside and out become noticeable far quicker than expected.
It's Only Ever Been Me - Alexander Khaos has lived a life of falsehoods the entire time he's been alive. So can anyone blame him when he lies to Jacob in a panic that his soulmate's initials isn't JS?
Judgement and Solace - Aria Seed is the daughter of the Prophet, Joseph Seed. All she has known is the comfort of the walls within Eden's Gate. However, when the Deputy her father prophesied would bring either salvation or damnation finally arrives to break the First Seal... a temptation to sin manifests.
Lost Wandering In Hope County - While on a break, Silva explores the beautiful landscapes of Hope County, and compares it to the other environments she's survived in. Joseph's commentary over the radio though is very unnecessary.
The Little Blessing - Nadi's journey after Call To Arms and her initiation into the Project at Eden's Gate under John's guidance.
No Snake, Only A Boa In The Garden - The Voice discovers its muse has chosen to become a Coroner instead of a deputy and out of spite tells Joseph that she's the "Mother" and to marry her so the Reaping & the Collapse can begin.
Only One Person Can Frustrate Me (And That's You) - Silva had thought that, after cutting off her first soul mark, she'd be free to choose her own love. However, a random encounter with Faith Seed leads the Deputy to discover a second soul mark. Can these two find love with each other in spite of their reservations and making the best of this fate? Or will they deny their destiny and lead to an ugly end?
Peace Of Thy Soul - Silva doesn't sleep often. When she does, her dreams imprison her in a confusing and tormenting sequence of events. Some familiar. Most unfamiliar. But when the arrest of Joseph falls apart, how come the visions seem closer to truth than a manifestation of her traumatized mind?
Sanctuary At Last - The Project at Eden's Gate have a set rule of standards and customs that Joseph was told by the Voice to follow; Alphas are the dominant power, Omegas are subservient to their Alpha's with the expectation to bear their children. And Betas? Well, there's no room for Betas in the New Eden. And yet... the Hell That Follows The White Horse... the one to join the Seed family through a union... is exactly what he was told to dismiss. Silva is a beta who challenges Eden's Gate customs.
Seeking Some Kind Of Redemption - Silva wakes up at St. Francis Veteran's Center, apparently with a massive loss of memories in several small moments in her life. Alexander, her commander, informs her she is a Chosen apart of the righteous Project at Eden's Gate, lead by a family who aim to save as many people as possible, while pushing back against an enemy threat. While Silva somewhat accepts this, she is given clues and guidance from an outside source that make her question her place.
Sombre Passion - Deputy Silva Omar spares and detains Faith Seed. However, she is unable to discreetly transport the Seed sister to the Jailhouse, so she utilizes her hermana's lodge, until they're both snowed in. In the wait of the blizzards to slow down, Silva and Faith stave off boredom however they can... even if it means talking to each other.
Stay Close (It's Gonna Get Hot) - Faith has developed aphrodisiacs in some batches of the Bliss, and wants to experiment with it, so she asks Silva for her help in taste testing.
Strawberries - In a moment of impulse, Nadi kisses John. This causes unexpected consequences. Involves a budding and anxiety-inducing romance between Nadi and John, Silva kidnapped more frequently in Holland Valley to be forced as John's romance mentor in exchange for tips on how to woo Faith which Silva never asked for, Jacob wishes Miller had eaten him so he doesn't have to watch this joke of a romcom, and as usual, Joseph is none-the-wiser. Alexander and Holly disapprove but Hannah ships it.
The Boa Amongst The Garden Walls - Silva fights Eden's Gate to ensure the freedom of the local residents of Hope County. Even if she has to endure John Seed's obsession with her. John Seed wishes to make Joseph proud, and to save many people from their sins by embracing the Father. Even if it means he has to put all his resources into converting Silva to their family.
The Cans And Don'ts When Dealing With One Silva Omar - Gavin Turquoise is the closest thing to a friend that Silva Omar has. Unbeknownst to the deputy though, this lawyer views their "friendship" as something else entirely.
The Failure Of Your Fathers - In a chance meeting, Silva finds out her second soul mate is Jacob. Neither are thrilled, and while Silva is adamant about no romance... she lends a hand of friendship instead. This proves to be a mistake, one the Voice counted on.
The Final Judgement Of Hope County - Silva thought she killed them all. The Apostles of Zachariah had taken her hija, and she had hunted each herald down right up to Paul. She thought this to be truth, until a ghost she encounters turns out to be more real than anticipated.
The Most Wonderful Of Mistakes - Faith lures Silva into the Bliss to use a more aphrodisiac form of Bliss so the deputy would seek out a brother of hers and finally become apart of the Seed Family. This backfires, but she can't deny that she enjoyed the action. (...Until the consequences, that is).
The Soft Heart Behind All That Wrath - Moments in which the Resistance and the Guns For Hire see glimpses of the person Silva Omar is underneath; the pain, the compassion, the sorrow, the courage, and the strength in spite of the suffering.
The True Sinners - Silva is unknowingly the Voice's Muse, however, she is not a deputy. But that isn't a problem; as long as the Seeds have her present for Joseph's arrest, then the Reaping can begin. What they do with her afterwards... the Voice doesn't give a fuck. Meanwhile Kamski actually managed to make friends with one person and that's Tammy Barnes; everyone else either tolerates or endure him.
The Underestimated Efficiency of Compassion - The discovery of Ernesto Stallone's presence in Hope County causes Kamski to cash in favors from Isiah Popov and Gemini Teal to protect Silva. The Seeds and the Resistance temporarily put their differences aside to look out for Silva as her importance is too valuable for varying reasons.
The Wrath Of Hell Can't Compare To My Own Ire - While scavenging, Azriel and Mercy are caught by the Highwaymen. Silva and Faith may be older, but neither are out of wrath to spare against those who threaten their family.
To Be Right - Alexander Khaos reflects on his choices thus far, his loyalty to Jacob and his thoughts on Silva.
To Serve, To Protect - Silva visits an Eden's Gate picnic and meets the Seeds early. Not much changes.
Weaponizing The Obstacle - Alexander has become disillusioned with Jacob's leadership; said man seeks to become a martyr to be sacrificed in the name of his brother more than the survivor Alexander once understood. When he captures the Resistance's most effective obstacle, the skilled Deputy Silva Omar, Alexander finds an opportunity to win the war and create the perfect leader.
Wedded Brides - Come, one and all, join the official wedding between my beloved Mama, Silva Omar, and her nagging love of her life, Faith Seed. Officiated by the power invested in I, Azriel Omar!
We're Goners - Silva and Faith don't make it out of the Henbane when Adam's Guard bomb the territory.
We're Primal Beasts After All - Silva Omar had only three objectives; build a Resistance, dismantle Eden's Gate operations, and neutralize the Seed Family's threat. Plans shift three-quarters through as her sanity descends after talking to God.
Where Four Bickering Seeds, Three Screw-Ups, Two Rampaging Sisters, One Feral Child And An Entire County Become A Family [A True Story!] - Silva's adopted hija, Azriel, is kidnapped by the Seeds during the Reaping while under the supervision of trusted amigos, and somehow that leads to peace. An AU where Azriel is adopted early, Elsa is alive and the Collapse doesn't occur.
Where She Belongs - Azriel's journey from meek, quiet Aria to Silva's chaotic adopted hija.
You Don't Know Me - Silva has the Guns rendezvous at her residence to plan their next attack, however Silva runs late, and that gives the Gun's enough time to discover the passage to her bunker.
You're Almost Like Family - After an attempt to convert Silva leads to her unexpected death, John finds himself at the beginning of the night of Joseph's arrest, and finds that any time he or Silva dies, the loop resets at certain points in the Reaping. He intends to keep Silva alive, but that's easier said than done when she keeps involving herself in dangerous stunts... and is being murdered by an unknown third party. John hasn't figured out he's not the only Seed trapped in this loop.
The Judge Side Stories/Alternate Universes
A Blissful Welcoming - The Judge gets lost in the Bliss, but Faith is more than willing to be of service if it means the quiet woman stays.
A Judge's Tale - How Silva became the Judge in this AU.
Blessed Is The Judge, For Their Compassion Holds No Bounds - How the Judge wins the war by having a good heart - all through Jacob's POV.
Certain Rumors Circulating Around - Snippets of the Resistance members in each region, the Guns For Hire, the Seeds, Eden's Gate members and non-affiliates hearing about the most absurd things the Judge has done in the county.
Count Down To Zero - Soulmate fic where Faith has a soulmate counter that reaches zero when she meets the Judge while out and about in a Henbane field... except the love of her life is utterly clueless of their fated love.
Don't Upset The Pecking Order - The Fae are summoned to begin the Hunt on their newest victims; the Project at Eden's Gate, specifically the heads of it, the Seeds. All would have gone to plan... if only they didn't wreck the shrine honoring Judge Silva's deceased daughter, Persephone.
Envy - Faith gets a little envious when the Judge's attention is on her ex-girlfr- I mean, ex "best friend", Tracey Lader, instead of... you know... her?! She's determined to rectify this misgiving.
I Will Defend You - A Judge's Vow is a sacred thing, Faith comes to learn.
Justice And Discipline - Judge!Silva in a Viking/Ragnarok AU.
Maybe A Little Bit - Faith is amused by how easily Judge Silva can get envious and possessive over the fawning attention of the other members of her clan towards her beloved.
Mortality Is Overrated - Judge Silva is immortal and the last to know. Everyone in the Resistance is either in denial and pretending everything's fine or are understandably freaking out. Eden's Gate... just takes this as a "divine sign".
Only Heartfelt Pain - What a terrible fate... to be the last of your clan. A fic detailing the sorrowful loneliness of the Crown... until he finds a wounded Silva.
Only Her (Can Do Right By Us) - Inspired by SAO Abridged and the voices in my head.
Purple Passion Fruit - Instead of Pratt being sent to St. Francis, it is instead Joey Hudson. She's a hard nut for Jacob to crack, so he uses his trump card and has her be taught under Alexander Khaos' tutelage.
Reserved Purity (Only The Worthy Can Claim It) - The Resistance and Seeds harass the Crown for his Judge and his own allegiance. He straight up fucking lies to their faces and tells them "whomever can successfully woo the Judge may bare the fruits of her labor" or some shit like that. Everyone forgets about war while all attempting to woo the Judge. Crack taken seriously fic.
Reverence To Faith - The Crown dies early, so Judge Silva must find a new master to serve. They must be honorable, hold only the benevolent of intentions, and great moral convictions. So why does she choose the deceitful, spiteful and self-described "morally neutral" Seed sister who runs the Henbane like a drug kingpin? Well, you see... pretty woman with pretty green eyes.
Sharing With Faith - Disputations between the newly-weds over what belongs to who.
Studying Faith - This is totally not what Faith intended to happen when she offered a bible study on Joseph's Word with the Judge. Nor was it not what she totally wanted to happen either.
The Left Hand Of The Judge - Will Boyd is left for dead by his former brethren of Eden's Gate... only to be found and recovering under the gentle hands of the Judge and her Crown.
The Truly Unorthodox Judge - Jacob is on the verge of a mental breakdown over the Judge's general existence while Alexander and Hannah just don't help him.
The Voice's Judgement - The Voice has a tamper tantrum once more as Silva, yet again, ruins its plans in another one of it's worlds.
The Judge's Duty - Main fic. The Crown sends his Judge to enact judgement on the Project at Eden's Gate and its prophet, Joseph Seed. Unbeknownst to them, the disgraceful Deserters have found their way to Hope County, led by Grimes the Cruel, with an eye on the Eden's Gate' bunkers.
Thou Shalt Not Kill, Not Without Proper Peace In Thy Mind - Judge Silva avoids killing at any circumstance. Only when she's put to rest her haunted past 17 years after the Collapse, can she finish her judgement on the man the Crown had sent her to judge in the first place.
To Find Faith Is To Let Go Of Judgement - Faith's POV on the Judge through their various courting practices.
Uphold Duty, Practice Honor - Joseph's POV on Judge!Silva.
What Are The Chances? - John and Jacob get lost in the Henbane woods while on the precipice of a storm, only to bump into the most unexpected of aid.
You're The Man, And Yet I Have The Power - The origin of how Grimes stopped being sexist. Involving Silva kicking his ass so badly he now respects women.
The Harbinger Side Stories/Alternate Universes
Hold Me Please (I Need Comfort) - The Harbinger getting well deserved hugs from friends and family and enemies alike.
Liberation Of A Lost Harbinger - If the Harbinger had been found by Elsa and her family a little earlier with some Resistance help.
The Harbinger's Salvation - Main fic. Upon the night of his fated arrest, Joseph Seed is shocked to not see the Deputy from his visions attend the arrest. However, his arrest is still interrupted by other forces, and he meets the exiled Saint Matilda and her dreadful monster. The Resistance finds allies in Elsa Omar and her boyfriend Ezekiel, in return of the protection of Elsa's niece, Persephone. Joseph gets flirted with by both Elsa and Ezekiel. With the county at war, and both Elsa and Ezekiel flirting with a flustered Joseph, all are none-the-wiser of the infiltration of the Prophet Hunters in the county, who only have two goals; retrieve Saint Matilda and her newest weapon, and kill the rival prophet in the area.
You Were A Victim (It Wasn't Your Fault) - Faith is the person who surprisingly manages to get through to the person underneath the Harbinger, and is the only person there to comfort the tortured soul inside.
El Industrial Side Stories/Alternate Universe
A Moment Of Weakness - Silva has a surprise visit from one Faith Seed in her office. They discuss about the Reaping warring outside the Blind Spot's doors, and enact on their own passionate desires.
Always Powerful - An AU where El Industrial!Silva didn't die and ended up stuck with Joseph in Dutch's bunker together. Trapping two extremists in the same room isn't recommended.
Awkward Intervention (Clarifying Understanding) - The Resistance has... concerns with Azriel's destruction, and Silva exasperatedly deals with their critiques as best as she can.
Azriel's Promised Tumult - Across the 17 years that occurred after the Collapse and her Mamá's death, Azriel rounds up the surviving Tumultites and achieves the dream her adoptive madre and her adoptive abuelo spent decades trying to make a reality; bringing about the construction of Tumult.
Deep Rooted Scars - The Tumultites do not let fate determine who they should love, Silva the most prominent amongst them. She has three self-imposed scars where her soulmates words used to be to prove it. It seems, though, fate had a very different idea in mind for her.
Determination For Tumult - The Seeds and the Tumultites have amicable interactions instead of instantly hating each others guts AU.

Don't Underestimate My Power - Silva is held captive by the Seeds. Their attempts to convert her to their cause is met with a lot of resistance and philosophical questioning.

Emerge From The Waters (Reborn) - John Duncan meets the Tumultites and is convinced to join their cause. Almost a decade later, he encounters what his brothers have been up to in Hope Couny.
El Industrial's Reign - How Silva became the woman she is in this AU and rose to power in the Underworld.
FC5 characters watch What Lives Below The Surface (Will Rise Up Again) - FC5 characters react to the future aka watching this AU's main fic on the big screen by some god or whatever, you know the drill with these fics.
Forsaken - Azriel's time spent alone in the bunker after the bombs drop and her Mamá's death by her hands.
Givers And Takers (Saints And Sinners) - A letter manages to make its way to the Underworld, one which is detailed one Silva and Azriel Omar. The contents of the letter reveal that Azriel's blood father, Joseph Seed, wishes to meet her in Hope County. Neither madre nor hija are excited by this, but it did present an opportunity that the Tumultites could not waste.
Home (a place where I can go) To Take This Off My Shoulders (someone take me home) Someone Take Me - A very different take on how this AU could have gone. Involves the Congregation of Adam's Guard (led by their captain, Oscar Lapis, instead of Father Adam Omar).
How Azriel Prevented A Holy War - Silva and Azriel are invited over to a dinner with the Seeds. Azriel notices that their tea are spiked with Bliss, and although she's too late to warn her Mamá, she does swap her tea with the Seed's smug sister while no one is looking... to interesting results.
How Slanderous Your Words Are (Care To Repeat Them?) - Oneshot on one unlucky Underworlder pointing out the clear physical differences between Silva and Azriel, and making the poor decision to question Azriel's validity as an heir to the Tumultite Movement within earshot of the very woman raising said girl.
How To Properly Handle A Yandere Family - A Hope County Guide From A Disgruntled Crime Lord - Industrial!Silva about to have an aneurysm from interacting with Yandere!Seeds.

Only Our Bliss - Smut fic between Silva and Faith.
Open Confession (Anonymous Listeners) - While having dinner, the Seed's radio accidentally picks up Silva's as she speaks with Sharky. She shares more than she should.
Rejection Of The Status Quo - How Nadi, Alexander, Gavin, Isiah and Gemini joined the Tumultite Movement.
Spare Us Heathens Some Change - Silva and Jacob are old friends AU.
Teacher's Pet - If Tracey and Rachel laid low at the Tumultite Movement instead of Eden's Gate.

The Left Eye Of Tumult - More details on the Tumultite Movement's conflict with the other criminal of the Underworld.

The Necessary Change To Move On From The Pain In The Past - What if Industrial!Silva and the Seed brothers were pen-pals.
The One-Eyed Boa's Step-By-Step Guide On How To Convert A Cult Into Tumult - It involves seducing the cult leaders for three of the Tumultites. But in Azriel's case it's revealing she's Joseph's very much alive daughter.
The Only Boss Around Here - Jacob got caught snooping around the Blind Spot, breaking several valuables, and is now indebted to the local mob.
The Power Of Faith - In which Faith communicates to Industrial!Silva via haunting/Bliss hallucination like in A Trial Of Faith. Unlike that fic though, this Silva is constantly surrounded by people and is a lot less subtle at keeping it hidden than her Deputy counterpart. In which from everyone else's perspective, their boss is suddenly talking to no one and flirting with walls. Azriel knows what's up but no one else believes her. She's very sus on Faith's intentions and like in every other AU, beefs with Faith, only this time people think she's jealous of someone who doesn't even exist.
The Voices Inside My Head (Scream For Blood) - In which Azriel learns Joseph is her father early (and before Silva does) and does not take this well.
Time To Let The Monster Out - Silva focuses on bringing Faith to the Tumultite's fold through power moves, mutual manipulation and seduction. As well as showing her position as the Seed's sister may not be as secure as she thought.
Tumult's Little Blessing - Silva's been held captive by Eden's Gate (as usual) and the Tumultite Movement don't seem to engage... until the Seeds learn it's because they're staying out of the way of Azriel's warpath towards the cult.
Us Lonely Girls (Against The World) Let's Build A Better One (Our Promised Tumult) - More details on Silva and Azriel's time spent in Hope County building their Movement for Tumult.

Blessed By A Curse - Main fic. 18 years after the heretic's who killed her family in their Reaping had brought about the Collapse that left the world in flames, Carmina Rye is 15-years-old and desires for one thing and one thing alone; to cure her godmother, the Reverend Silva (who returned magic to the world along with Phillip, God himself), from the dreadful Curse that eats at her mind and soul every day. To do this, she must infiltrate the criminal rebellion that was founded under the heretics formerly known as Eden's Gate and the traitors of the Resistance. In her time infiltrating these rebels, she comes to learn that not everything she was told had been the entire truth.
By Her Side - Holly Pepper becoming the number two of the future Reverend who'd rule over Hope County 18 years later.
Hail To The Empress' Coven, Bow And Behold - Reverend Silva's (reluctant) journey into becoming the magical empress under Phillip's tutelage.

Indisposed - The prequel fic to Blessed By A Curse. Deputy Sylvester Omar fails to arrest Joseph Seed, and is forced to fight in a war she never wanted to be involved with. The Faithful Administration - Former Eden's Gate members adapting to the life of the Empress Coven.
The Lost Lenore - POV snippets of character mourning Sylvester. Then their reactions to the reveal from one announcement by the Reverend.
The Rain Will Fall (On Us Too) But I'll Keep Moving On (Proud And Strong) - Faith centric to the events past and present and having a loved one who suffers from an "illness" that puts their body in pain and shifts their mood erratically.
The Reverend Mother And Her Cherished Faith - Uh... freaky smut between this version of Silva and Faith.
The Righteous Hand Of God - Joseph's POV is hilariously tragic when you think about it.
The Reverend's Rule - Disconnected chapters on how the daily life of the Reverend's citizen's and enemies goes.
The Serpent's Daughter - The life and death and rebirth of the Curse. Originating as far as the Garden of Eden to it inhabiting Silva to it's destruction to it's second chance at life.

We're More Ghosts Than People - Kamski being a decent human being and actually bonding with people?! Not clickbait! Read for more!
When All Those Unknown Chemicals Finally React - The rediscovery of magic.
Why Does It Matter If I'm Gone? - Instead of sticking around while being inhabited by a dangerous Cursed creature, Sylvester attempts to make as much difference between herself and her allies to keep them safe. Wildflowers (Blooming In A Field) - A fic centered around the various shenanigans of Silva's children/wards. (NOTE: These children include her and Faith's daughter Mercy, their adopted children Azriel, Ethan, Mickey and Lou, and finally Silva's goddaughter, Carmina Rye. Also Schrödinger but they're Gavin's kid so yeah).

A Dangerous Stranger In Town - FC5 Western AU. Silva's the swiftest quickdrawer in town, and gains the attention of the local church.
Domination - What Selke's intentions were... less than benevolent when guiding Chiwa to the Elden Throne. Darkfic. Somehow darker than the actual fic.
The Apostle's Rise - What Paul did once he accepted "The Call" and how he built up the Apostles of Zachariah.
I'm Cursed, But I'll Still Let The Morning Light Shine In - Fairytale/Fantasy AU where Silva is cursed with being unable to love in exchange for the abilities of some spiritual dragon/lobster/catfish while the Seeds are cursed into monsters (Joseph as a lich, John as a troll, Jacob as a man-beast and Faith as a siren) by a malevolent Voice of God, and the only way to break their curse is with the power of love which Silva significantly lacks at the moment.

Only Eden's Gate can keep her safe when she's trying to avoid being flayed, conditioned, drugged and preached by them.
The Inquisitor's Chime - Detective AU. Silva's a detective. She's not really good at her job since she keeps making out with the perp's sister.
A Little Unconventional (I Know) But Mama It's Me (I'm Home) - Mercy Omar-Seed and Carmina Rye are somehow sent back in time travel back to 2018 during the Reaping in Hope County. Carmina gets to experience plane rides while Mercy accidentally messed up the past a bit but all good, she'll just try to set her moms up (under different alterations) without having one kill the other.

A Tale Of Two Omar's - What if Elsa lived and was with Silva during the Reaping?

Let The Skyfall (When It Crumbles) -Bodysnatcher AU where Paul sends one of his supernatural wasps to take over Joseph's body and engineer the Reaping so Silva ends up back in his awaiting arms.
Lady, running down to the riptide (Taken away to the dark side) - Bioshock Infinite inspiration AU?? Paul joins the arrest of Joseph Seed since the latter lures the Sheriff's Department to the Compound with a hostage by the name of Silva Omar. Paul manages to rescue her and now both have to avoid Eden's Gate and get along... also foes who seem familiar led by a man named Ernesto Stallone are really determined to take Silva.
Vengeful!Silva AU WIP - Silva was passed along from Paul to Priestess Lillith to Joseph Seed before she found out Joseph planned on making her the next Faith and left to a city far away that the Voice proceeded to activate an ICBM that was left in a military bunker underneath the city and dusted off it's hands with that loose end out of the way. Around seven years later, on the night of Joseph's arrest, he (and the Voice) finds that Silva survived the destruction of the city (albeit not unscathed) and since she doesn't believe in God, she believes Joseph made the attempt on her life. So during the Reaping, she's hellbent on making Joseph suffer, joined by ex-Prophet Hunter Margarett and street urchin by the name of Aria, or rather, Azriel.
Bloodborne AU WIP - FC5 but Bloodborne style.
Slay The Princess AU - You are a servant of God. Your divine mission? To cull the multifaceted woman in the basement of a small home.
Doll!Silva AU - Imagine you're a Hope County local, going about life trying to get by while a neighboring cult gets worryingly more influence and trigger happy, and most recently you hear that the newest deputy, who's known to be a recluse (if polite with a kind enough nature about her) compared to her more socially active father, dies under circumstances. Sad news, but things happen. Then, not even a week after the funeral, her father, who's been more withdrawn from the community, is spotted being wheelchaired around the local market by his recently deceased daughter, only she's wearing a some kind of complex dress that covers her majority of her skin, is either seven or eight feet tall now (contrasting original her 5'8 or 5'9 height) and VERY MUCH ALIVE! Now imagine you're witnessing the leading family members of the local cult take a heavily invested interest in the father and daughter.

Phantom Faces Part 2: KaiShin Idea WIP
I’m trying to kick writer’s block and actually write after so long. It’s hard. Haven’t been able to focus lately what with the wildfires on the west coast and the pandemic making me stir-crazy. Good news, the air quality is clearing slowly but surely. Now if the pandemic could end, that’d be great.
This is a continuation of the old thing that I’d written long ago but posted recently. Not edited. Might tweak it later before possibly posting to Archive of Our Own. Dunno.
Phantom Faces Part 1
Phantom Faces Part 2
“Fetch me a coffee.”
“Yes, sir.”
Shinichi gritted his teeth as he stood and strode out of the office. Talking to the Ekoda inspector was like navigating a minefield: one wrong step and his job would go up in flames. Staying on the man’s good side was a nightmare and even then it wasn’t that worthwhile. But he needed the resources and confidential databases offered by being on the force. And yet…?
There was something off about Inspector Inoue.
Whether it was due to the constant dismissal or something more, Shinichi’s gut said the man had something to hide. His gut had rarely been wrong. But this one time he wasn’t fully ready to believe his instincts. Ekoda precinct was the only one to accept him on their team. Ekoda was the only place where he had the chance to rebuild his tattered reputation. He had to start somewhere. And dismantling the police station with his low-status would be more counter-productive than helpful and could even risk his job.
But some risks were necessary. Starting with quietly investigating the Kimura case on his own. Depending on how key players of the case reacted to his face, he could play the “student researching a project” card. Should they recognize him as the “washed out detective” then he’d have to improvise. Maybe claim the higher ups had sent him as a test on his abilities? See if he can follow and understand Inoue’s “esteemed detective’s” deductions? Or maybe–
His face crashed into someone’s chest. “Watch it, brat.” The person snapped.
Stepping back, he sighed. “Apologies, Hayashi-keiji.”
“Better be. You’re lucky Inoue-keibu was kind enough to let you play pretend. Keep your head down and you might actually learn something. Maybe even fit in.”
His skin crawled. Outwardly there was nothing unsettling about the statement other than the aggressive nature. Inwardly, however…
“Of course.” He dipped his head. “I’ll be sure to watch closely.”
…there was an unspoken promise in those words, he was certain. He side-stepped the older officer. But what did they mean? If his instincts were right then the Ekoda murder division had something to hide. Knowing his luck then that meant they were covering a murder. Possibly more. But why? What did they have to gain?
Continuing his way through the police department, deep in thought and only half aware, he almost missed the faint whispers of men working on a case. The muffled words “gem” and “heist” briefly filtered through his ears. He paused a beat, gaze sliding to the nearest, slightly ajar door.
The muffled words became clear as the door swung open. Shinichi blinked, startled, and greeted. “Hakuba-san?”
The blonde blinked in return. “Kudo-kun. What brings you to Ekoda? Interested in the KID heist, perhaps?”
“Ah, no.” They fell into step beside each other, both heading towards the lobby. “I actually transferred here recently. I’m the new officer in Division One.”
“Oh.” Hakuba’s voice lifted with an odd, unreadable tone. “Interesting.”
They arrived at the lobby. Shinichi dismissed his hackles instinctively rising as paranoia because, really, when had Hakuba ever been a threat? They didn’t know each other well as his older self. Hakuba didn’t know he was secretly Edogawa Conan.
So he tipped his head in farewell. “Enjoy the heist.”
“You’re not curious?”
He straightened. Oddly enough, Shinichi thought he could hear disappointment in the other’s tone. He couldn’t waste time running around an, admittedly fun, heist. Though KID was a welcome break with his “no one gets hurt” policy, murderers and conspiracies wouldn’t wait. It would be fun to attend, but…
“I’ve got bigger fish to fry.”
Hakuba flinched. Shinichi frowned. “Hakuba-san? Are you alright?”
The expression smoothed. “Yes, I just remembered I have approximately one second and twenty five milliseconds before I’m late to the next meeting. Farewell, Kudo-kun.”
“Ah…” The other pivoted on his heel and strode away. “…bye.”
Weird. But he didn’t have time to sit and wonder Hakuba’s behavior.

One song for A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore, The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles each and two moodboards for a WIP in The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles.
A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore is a Fallout fic series, and Fallout is mostly set in America, and what better to describe the best parts of America than John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads". While I know there's a Fallout version for this song sung by Spank, I'll save that one when analyzing its role in What Happened To Vault Number 76? As for now, John Denver's version encapsulates Ortega "Ore" Brantley and Marissa "Ress" Bishop's journey, as well as my Fallout protagonist OCs. Narrative-wise, this song describes both Ore and Ress' acknowledgement of their beginning roots (Appalachia and New Reno in New California respectively) and the comfort these homes bring, but also how they'll never lose sight of their true home, and how no matter their father, Arcane Urias, attempts to persuade them otherwise, they'll always trail their roads back home.
youtube
"Almost heaven, West Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River Life is old there, older than the trees Younger than the mountains, growing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain momma Take me home, country roads."
What better fic from The Silver Chronicles is suited for Vance Joy's one-hit wonder than my Six of Crows fic How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? A song that acts like a relatable tune about pop culture but is a cleverly disguised bittersweet tale of love and longing mixing with the emotional turmoil of escapism from reality, and my fic which acts like a comedic modern-ish retelling of the Dreg's heist against one of Ketterdam's richest motherfuckers filled with action, drama and romance but is in fact very depressing in reality only made humorous (dark or light notwithstanding) through the perspective of the fic's only two unreliable narrators, my traumatised criminal OCs Isiah Popov and Gemini Teal. Anyway, enjoy!
youtube
"Here's this movie that I think you'll like This guy decides to quit his job and head to New York City This cowboy's running from himself And she's been living on the highest shelf
Ah ooh-ooh-ooh, ah oh And they come unstuck
Lady, running down to the riptide Taken away to the dark side I wanna be your left hand man I love you when you're singing that song And I got a lump in my throat 'Cause you're gonna sing the words wrong
I just wanna, I just wanna know If you're gonna, if you're gonna stay I just gotta, I just gotta know I can't have it, I can't have it any other way
I swear she's destined for the screen Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen."
The Time Guard is an original work set before, around and within the canon events of The UnTitledverse. It follows Timekeeper, a droid who's purpose was to observe the Time stream and properly utilize the Time Watch only when absolutely necessary. Despite using it during dire circumstances in the events of the Jagged Instincts Novelisation, the Time Court, overseen by the Time Bureau Authority's supreme leader, Judge Khronos, and with the prosecution lead by Leviticus, declared Timekeeper had stepped out of line and also lost the Time Watch to a Time Vortex in the process. So Timekeeper is demoted as expendable and decides to found a team that will do Khronos' dirty (and often life-threatening) jobs to get in his good graces again, calling it the "Time Guard". A multitude of characters in the beginning of its foundation (and even after) come and go, though two have never been more linked than a Carmine scout drone designated "J.O.E" and Edward Carmine's most loyal security drone subordinate, designated "K.I.L.L.J.O.Y", not only coming from Jagged Instincts, but also after The Perfect Storm saga, and they're relationship during The Time Guard can be summed up as "cheerful naive optimist and brooding angry pessimist forced into a get-along brother shirt". So here's the closest song I believe emphasizes.
youtube
"Ah such a beautiful day, uh Yeah, the sun's shinin' in a beautiful way, uh Gonna take a shower, brush my teeth, and-" "Life is ultimately meaningless."
"Uh, uh, but I'll get out of the house. Get on the road, top down, hands out. Put on my favorite song and nod to the rhythm." "The planet's being destroyed by your carbon emissions."
"Oh! But I, I, I'll head to class Try my best on every test till I pass And my grades are screamin' in my face (Hey!)" "Ninety-eight percent of what you learn is a waste."
"I get to hang out with all my friends My friends are the friendliest friends Can't think of a better way to spend my time." "Your brain is flawed, and all your friends will die."
"Never mind, I'm alive in the greatest nation, so proud of-" "The exploitation of the natives?" "This graceful bird means freedom for all!" "Tell that to the slaves, and bald eagles aren't bald!"
"I can live in the moment, milk every second." "At any time, you could get clinical depression." "But I'll just be happy, no matter what's in store." "It's quite genetic, and we have no cure." "Uh, at least
We are young ("Not for long") Life is fun ("It only goes downhill") We gotta make the most of it, make the most it ("Or you'll regret it") We are young ("For now") Life is fun ("To some people") We gotta make the most of it, make the most of it!" ("Good luck")
And lastly two moodboards + an excerpt phrase/dialogue for WIPs from The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles.
rules: show a moodboard and an important phrase or dialogue from the current fic you are writing!

WIP: The UnTitled Stories - Prologue
If I may... I'd like to ask you a question. One which has plagued me ever since I was introduced to it. What do you think dictates humans: The mind? Or the body? This was a query originally formed by French philosopher Rene Descartes in the 17th century; one that drove him to develop a concept called dualism. A concept that elaborated the distinction between the mind and body as separate entities, whereas the mind procured thought, mental processes and housed consciousness, the body focused on structure, our instincts, the neurons and the brain itself. Descartes had implied the mind could control the body, but the body could also influence the mind when it needed to, though ultimately had no control. However, despite Descartes' famous words, "I think, therefore I am", modern psychologists didn't believe it to be that simple. Humans worked like a machine, our organs merely cogs serving a function in the system. To take out even one has irreparable consequences, a disruption that could lead us to falter and break down and supposedly become useless, or our certain demise, which earns the same results of uselessness. Now, to deprive humans of one of these components leads to total system failure, regardless if its because of disuse or death. In other words, neither the mind nor the body can continue without this system. On that note, if this system is keeping the human body functioning, the question re-contextualizes from whether the mind controls the body, and vice versa, to instead what this system is trying to keep operating; itself, or our consciousness? The complexion of this debate can be hard to wrap your head around, especially if your introduction to it came from a source as dubious as mine had been, but this did not diminish my personal affinity towards it. To be clearer, I had been led to believe that if the system exists to function, then it must be to either support itself or the battery that drives it, not both. It's believed that by determining the dominating source that dictates humanity, a whole slew of concepts and functions will become clearer to understand, easier to deduce an explanation and an answer. To cease the uncertainty in our lives, which is the only thing that makes everyone equal in this meritocracy. By identifying the force that drives us, we can better understand ourselves, making arguments like free will and determinism, instincts and self-control, nature and nurture, our ability to change and adapt in socialization, perception of our identity and sense of individual self, among other things... well, clear cut. Or at least, that's what I had been told to believe. Not so much now. Though if anyone had asked me about my opinion on the matter back then, riding as a passenger on that bus, and if I felt inclined to share, I would have spouted my blind agreement to the belief. That never happened though. I had been lead to believe that to reach the conclusive answer to the dictating source of our actions; whether it was the mind or the body, I had to be placed in an academically social environment that would push my boundaries for the next three years. Determine the dominating victor of either consciousness or reflex, and take satisfaction in the answer to my curious nature. And though I would later discard this goal... the fact remained, it had been my original intention, one I had gone to such costly lengths for as demonstrated in our first year. And the fact remains that, while on that bus, on our way to this very school, I had every intention to follow that pursuit through til the very end. That is, of course, until I had met you…

WIP: Silva's Hope [Content Warning: Descriptive depiction of a violent death]
An ugly croak escaped from the Peggie's lips, his mouth agape like a lake trout. But instead of suffocating from a lack of air, he was choking from the dagger that pierced through his throat. Silva gripped the handle as she dug the blade further into the man's esophagus, blood seeping out of the opening. The red flowed down, staining his shirt and her gloves. The Peggie swung his arms out weakly, one hand managing to futilely claw at her wrist. She paid no mind to it. Is this all I am good for? She twisted the blade, gritting her teeth as she kicked the Peggie's knee down, swiftly sinking her knife down further. His grip went slack, and his eyes began to glaze. But she wasn't done yet, not with the burning fire eating through her veins. Is this all I'll ever be? Her free hand caught the man's blonde hair. She dug out the red-stained silver blade and slashed it across his throat, widening the cut. A source of fear? A beast with bloodied hands? She stabbed the blade against his head, pulling it out, then puncturing again, repeatedly, like a butcher chopping thawed meat. I gave you a chance, didn't I? A chance to turn back, to put the gun down, to turn a blind eye while I made my escape... Pulling the blade out, she tried to breathe, to calm the rage engulfing her heart, cascading over her mind. But it refused; it demanded it's release, to have her take it out on the man who's eyes have glazed. ...And yet, he did not choose to value his life, instead the words of his Profeta. Fraudulent lies that outweighed common sense, self-preservation, and moral understanding. Her teeth gritted, breathing rapidly, ignoring the bullet that inflamed the skin in her thigh. She raised her knife, red dripping down onto her head and shoulder. Looking down at the Peggie, she shouted out the wrath stuck in her voice, and broke through his skull. If this is the path they all will follow, then she won't waste time giving them chances they won't take.

Hey guys, I'm back! Three songs; one for an OC, one for a relationship between OCs, and lastly one for a fic. Respectively all in Life, Despair & Monsters, The UnTitledverse and lastly Far Cry The Silver Chronicles. Listen and read under the cut:
In the Life, Despair & Monsters, Sir Enigma Malvolio is the main antagonist who is the catalyst of the protagonists pain and the reason to why events such as these are existing. Though seemingly looking like a short human, Malvolio is actually what's called a "Displacement"; a term used for creatures from unknown and not categorized dimensions which "displace" themselves into another reality by using Breaches (tears in reality due to unstable flux of time or because something damaged reality previously). As the Director of the Ruins of the Midnight Rise, Malvolio is driven by the need to "evolve" humans, who he sees as the pinnacle of potential to become something more, however is willfully ignorant of the "weaker" side of human nature and only believes that his twisted view on how to progress humans to a satisfying state is the correct way. By horrifically experimenting on them and attempting to remove empathy and physical weakness, he merely leaves them scarred for life and often mutilated or transformed into something else. Malvolio's view on human morality and ethics is disdain towards these "rules that set back scientific and evolutionary progression for decades more" and ultimately concludes "humans are better off without them", and due to his interdimensional nature and consequence "dog who must progress to using sticks and stones in order to eat other dog so he can survive and teach more dogs this progression to further the species" viewpoint, Malvolio can never empathise or realise how wrong his extreme actions are. However, in this song, there is the implication that Malvolio has begun to enjoy creating this horrific despair on humans. Listen below:
youtube
"I've got to hand it to you You've played by all the same rules It takes the truth to fool me And now you've made me angry
I can't decide whether you should live or die Oh, you'll probably go to Heaven Please don't hang your head and cry No wonder why my heart feels dead inside It's cold and hard and petrified Lock the doors and close the blinds We're going for a ride
Oh, I could throw you in the lake Or feed you poisoned birthday cake I won't deny I'm gonna miss you when you're gone Oh, I could bury you alive But you might crawl out with a knife And kill me when I'm sleeping, that's why..."
Next song is for The UnTitledverse, specifically the friendship between The Perfect Storm saga's three main protagonists; Joaquin Cobalt (a rather ordinary boy who lived with his foster/adopted-sister), Calvin Dearing (the spirit of a cartoonist from the 1930s) and lastly Mario Emmet (a shapeshifting meat-eating alien with minor reality-manipulation). Before the events of The Perfect Storm saga (and getting sucked into the Multiverse), Joaquin, Calvin and Mario knew each other. Joaquin viewed Calvin and Mario as older siblings (like Lisa), while Calvin and Mario viewed each other as friends (who have similar experiences with losing time from their lives). By the time of The UnTitledverse, Calvin is trying to search for both Mario and Joaquin, get them back home, and though the three dearly miss each other, they still have issues (both external and internal) that they must deal with. I believe Colors encapsulates the emotion felt throughout this journey of breaking friendship, regret, longing, restoration of a fire-forged bond and the bittersweet leaning towards melancholy at the end of the first saga. Listen below:
youtube
"Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so You said your mother only smiled on her TV show You're only happy when your sorry head is filled with dope I hope you make it to the day your 28 year old
You're dripping like a saturated sunrise You're spilling like an overflowing sink You're ripped at every edge but you're a masterpiece And now you're tearing through the pages and the ink
Everything is blue His pills, his hands, his jeans And now I'm covered in the colors Pulled apart at the seems And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His hair, his smoke, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color he don't know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
You were a vision in the morning when the light came through I know I've only felt religion when I've lied with you He said, "You'll never be forgiven till your boys are too." And I'm still waking every morning but it's not with you.
You were red And you liked me 'cause I was blue But you touched me and suddenly I was a lilac sky And you decided purple just wasn't for you
Everything is blue His pills, his hands, his jeans And now I'm covered in the colors Pulled apart at the seems And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His hair, his smoke, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color he don't know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
Everything is blue Everything is blue Everything is blue Everything is blue."
And lastly a song for my AU adaption fic of Six Of Crows called How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? in Far Cry The Silver Chronicles, where in a (pre-)modern day equivalent of the fictional Ketterdam (which would be the Netherlands), the Dregs pick up two more strays; the chatty and (seemingly) crass Isiah Popov and the curt if menacing Gemini Teal, both of whom have a dislike for each other. In this fic, Isiah and Gemini (future companions of Silva and Ezekiel in the Far Cry 5 & New Dawn fics) learn to navigate robbing people without trying to kill one another and let the whole team down (despite being slightly older than the teen team), and appreciate the skills both have without snide comebacks, and eventually grow into vitriolic best buds while trying to survive a ridiculously unlucky heist. Song below:
youtube
"Sorry, I ain't got no money I'm not trying to be funny But I left it all at home today
You can call me what you wanna I ain't giving you a dollar This time I ain't gonna run away
You might knock me down You might knock me down But I will get back again
You can call me what you wanna I ain't giving you a dollar This time I ain't gonna run away Run away, run away
This time, this time This time, this time I ain't gonna Run, run, run, run Not this time
Not this time Not this time Not this time!"

How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? 👀
How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? is a Six Of Crows modern-ish AU fic in The Silver Chronicles that acts as both an origin story for two OCs of mine, Isiah Popov and Gemini Teal, as well as an excuse for me to write about the Dregs and a heist story.
In order to make the fic consistent with my small timeline of The Silver Chronicles (since Isiah and Gemini appear in La Última En Pie and Old Dusk, the former taking place in 2015 while the latter takes place in 2035 in FCND, and the time SOC is set in wouldn't make much sense), I had developed a modern-ish AU of Ketterdam, set around the late-90's and/or early 2000s. I haven't done much work on it as I would like, but I am looking at sources of Amsterdam and the Netherlands to develop a modern-ish Ketterdam that can coexist with elements the original book version had but installing it in a modern-ish setting, same with the Dregs and each of their origins as well. So a lot of research will be made on this one to make it a rich experience.
How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? is planned to be almost like a dramatic comedy but still retaining some of the fantastical and dark elements that Six Of Crows has. That's all I can really share about it.

Music for The Silver Chronicles, Life, Despair & Monsters and the terrible trio Noir, Nova and Noa, as well as an WIP for a new FC5 AU called Doll!Silva AU... I'll elaborate some more later below the cut:
Noir, Nova and Noa are a trio of sixth-generation kin whose entire purpose is to act as both an obstacle and represent the number one thing to keep in mind about the multiverse, especially while Jade Smith and Jasmine Rafiq are exploring the various worlds; everything and everyone they will come across will be unpredictable and are never as simply good and bad. Noir, Nova and Noa are both nuisances, guides, roadblocks and advisors. If Jade and Jasmine can adapt to their wacky antics, then to the three kin, the couple are ready for anything that comes their way.
youtube
"I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone So while you're here in my arms Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young We're gonna die young We're gonna die young Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young!"
"Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, like we're gonna die young Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, like we're gonna die young Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, like we're gonna die young!" "Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young!"
Out of all the stories in The Silva Chronicles, I think the most tragic of them all is my Bloodborne WIP, thus far, that is. I only say this cause while WIPs like La Última En Pie, Ain't It A Joy? and How Good Is A Heist If It's Improvised? (although Silva's Hope, Call To Arms and No One's Safe At Home can qualify) are all expressively tragic and often end more bitter rather sweet, they are also kind of connected together, their previous arcs and growth following over to Silva's Hope and then ending rather hopefully in Old Dusk. Meanwhile, the Bloodborne WIP, which I shall call Hematophobia: Fear The Paleblood, is the MOST tragic and the only one I'm confident in saying has a downer ending for majority of characters, even if I keep some of it very ambiguous, like the game itself does. Yharnam and its inhabitants, are doomed to fall. The hunters get little to no peace for their duties, in fact most go mad. The Jäger siblings, Tobias and Caroline, went to Yharnam to cure Caroline of her blood disease, and in the end, one is too ignorant towards duty over family, while the other is irreversibly changed by the knowledge accumulated and all the violence and horror that was witnessed over the course of the long night, and neither will ever be able to see each other again. Splinter succeeds in killing Nigel but fails in his vows to protect others and can't rectify his mistake once he's awoken from the dream and detained by the Time Bureau Authority. In fact, with exception to Caroline's actions (although that's being too generous), mostly everyone else fails in their missions or suffer from the Monkey Paw effect, meaning a lot of everyone's actions throughout this WIP end up being all for nothing, really. It's weird that one Soulsborne WIP (this one) ends ambiguously but certainly the closest to an outright downer ending in my series, while the Elden Ring WIP (another Soulsborne game), ends up being the closest to an actual legitimate happy ending in this series (I'd say Old Dusk is the second closest to a happy ending for Silva, Azriel, Nadi, Alexander, Schrödinger, Isiah and Gemini in addition to most canon characters, though it still has a few bitterness to its overall sweetness).
youtube
"Do you realize? That you have the most beautiful face
Do you realize? We're floating in space
Do you realize? That happiness makes you cry
Do you realize? Everyone you know Someday Will die
Do you realize? Everyone you know Someday Will die!"
And lastly, let's talk about one of the little cheeky themes of Life, Despair & Monsters. That being: Connection and bonds, and how strong bonds can make and break a person. How bonds can be the greatest and worst thing. How bonds if maintained well can never shake against adversity, and if maintained poorly, or just one-sided/superficial, will result in failure. The bonds of siblings (like between Haoyu and Monika, Icarus/Hatsukami/Xavier and their family, or even Corvus and Rhaenyra and their half-siblings), the bond of lovers (Sonya and Jennifer, Guenevere and Morgana, Haoyu and Icarus), the bond of friends (Rico and Lora, Lora and Lancelot, Hatter and Marinette & Adrien) and other type of bonds are important in their success to be maintained and reinforced, lest they fall apart and are left alone. To serve as a contrast, the members of the Ruins of the Midnight Rise do not manage their bonds rather well; Malvolio is a being incapable of comprehending the importance of connection and bonds considering he originates from a wild dimension where the main consensus is "survive or die" and therefore his bonds with those around him (such as Denise, Evie and Inviticus) are more superficial rather than deeply genuine (he cries no rivers when Evie dies, only expresses disappointment that his favored creation has failed to continue living, and abandons Denise when she's proven unable to uphold her end of their accord with her lack of arms), with members like Inviticus and Impulse, and allies like Paul Yellowjack, being aware of this fact, and only keeping up their ends of this social accord to get what they want out of it. The only exception to this is Uni (or rather, the Unity) and Frederick Rosemary, the former of whom is an amalgamation of the worlds greatest Third Eye users downloaded/possessing in a mechanical monstrosity holding history and knowledge and scientific endeavors, which is something Malvolio can connect with, while the latter is unbothered by the "necessity" to do horrific things in the "name of progress" with a darkly crude sense of humor, something Malvolio finds himself flocking to the closest thing of a genuine if twisted friendship with Frederick despite his depravities. Minor note is that Denise doesn't really like the other members with exception to the Director, Evie only cares about gaining Malvolio's praise, Inviticus and Impulse only desire to hunt, and the other Displacements are enslaved by Malvolio. Sliding away from the Midnight Rise and focusing on the Occult, Aggrevor genuinely doesn't care about his fellow cultists and the relationship between the Occult and the Kin they want to bring back and worship is explicitly either one-sided or mutually abusive. Haoyu, Icarus, Sonya and the others are able to rise above their enemies due to learning to secure and keep their bonds strong with mutual respect and genuine friendship, even when they are all at their lowest point in the journey.

"We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall They say we got no-no-no-no future at all They wanna ke-ke-keep us out Can't hold us down anymore We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall
When we hit the bottom, nothing gonna stop us Climb to the top with you We could be the greatest, ones who never made it Yeah, I could be talking to you They tryna hate, hate, hate But we won't change, change anything at all, oh We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall
They think we're just dropouts Living at out mom's house Parents must be so proud They know it all No, they don't speak out language They say we're too savage, yeah No, no, we don't give a- anymore
We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall No, they don't speak out language They say we're too savage, yeah No, no, we don't give a- anymore We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall
They say we're goin' no-no-no-no-no-no-nowhere But what they don't know, know, know is that we don't, don't care We're gon' keepin' on, keepin' on goin' 'til we can't go no more We're gonna ri-ri-ri-ri-rise 'til we fall, yeah!"
And here's the WIP snippet for my newest FC5 AU for Silva... Doll!Silva AU, inspired by Bloodborne yet again, but this time, neglecting the werewolves and gothic horror for just the existential and lovecraftian horror with the main focus being on the altered Gehrman and Plain Doll dynamic (old badass mentor appears physically weak with only the human-sized and somehow magically alive doll of his equally badass pupil to take care of him but he feels self-hatred and guilt for making her every time he looks at her due her having more subjectively traditionally feminine and obedient qualities which misses the qualities that the original alive woman had in the first place and is nothing more but the physical manifestation of his shame and mistakes), but with Silva and Paul instead. And in Hope County. So here's Mary May (in contribution to... ahem, Mary MAY) coming across the spitting image of a rookie deputy who is supposed to be dead but yet is alive in front of her and very off-putting and different from before she maybe died(?). Read below:
Mary shut off the radio, much to Drew's complaints, shaking her head as she continued to drive them back to Fall's End, which was a long ride away while in the Henbane.
But shutting up her yapping brother and that irritating music wasn't enough to escape the topic of the cult; they passed a multitude of billboards and signs of Eden's Gate propaganda.
In the span of two years, they've spread like an infection across the county's three regions. And yet, the Henbane seems to have gone through the most changes. Especially with the introduction of those batches of white flowers.
Flowers that either make you high or nauseous when going too close to it, Mary snarled in her mind, How is that NOT considered a health issue, or extremely dangerous? Why haven't the Sheriff's Department actually done anything about that yet?
She remembered Deputy Omar seemed keen on tackling a potential investigation, probably one of the few deputies who actually took the cult's growing influence with serious consideration, much like her father...
Not like it matters much now, considering the funeral last week.
Such a reminder made Mary huff, taking a swift glance to Drew in the passenger seat. Her little brother was quiet, looking out the window, trying to read whatever were on the billboards they passed. Most likely the cult's, since she picked him up from the Convent.
Her grip tightened on the leathery wheel. She hoped Ma and Pa could talk some sense into Drew. She could see how curious he was about the cult, and she was so afraid of how far they hot their claws in him. She hoped he could be dissuaded by seeing how bad Eden's Gate had effected business at the Spread Eagle.
She couldn't fathom the feeling of losing a family member. Not like how Paul had recently. Considering she hasn't seen him since a little after the funeral when he came to the Spread Eagle, she was certain he wasn't doing well.
That was a pain she wasn't going to let happen to her family. Not now, and especially not by the cult.
She opened her mouth to say something to Drew; to let him know he can talk to her, that his older sister is just worried for him, that she loves and cherishes him just as Ma and Pa do, even if they are a little hard on him. To affirm to him that he can turn to them for anything. Better than the cult could possibly do.
However, no such words leave her mouth as she spotted something out on the side of the road.
Her gaze locked on to a crouching figure adorned in black as the truck passed them, a little way on the side of the road, way too close to those pale flowers that the cult owned.
Does this person not know about the flowers? she pondered briefly, as it seemed to be the only reasonable explanation considering how new those flowers are. They certainly didn't appear to be a Peggie, usually the cult were adorned in white, browns and sometimes an occasional red and black. Never just... black.
Regardless, while watching from her rear view mirror, Mary watched in abject horror how the person - a woman, she was sure now - picked a flower out and curiously brought it closer to her face.
Not a moment longer, Mary slammed her foot down on the breaks, much to Drew's shock, swerving to park on the side of the road as she unbuckled her seat belt and practically hopped out of the truck once she opened the door without further elaboration.
She urgently ran towards the black-clad woman who held the flower up to her nose. The woman still hadn't noticed her yet. There was something familiar about her to Mary, but she couldn't fathom what it was; the dark hair or the silvery white flowing down the braid tail behind her.
It didn't matter; she had to get the woman away from the flowers.
"Hey!" she shouted towards the stranger, gaining closer, "Stop!"
Her shouts seemed to alarm the woman, causing her to lift her head away from the flower and towards Mary's approaching figure.
Once she gained close enough to be a few big steps from coming up to the woman, Mary states, "You need to get away from those flowers-"
Her words caught in her throat as the woman stood up from her crouched position. There were a total number of three thoughts that crashed Mary's brain.
Her first thought being, Oh, she's TALL. With how the woman loomed over her, and the way she had to tilt her head down to reach eye contact with Mary. A part of Mary wanted to claim the woman was eight feet tall. Perhaps it wouldn't be quite an exaggeration, but reasonably the woman had to be at least a little over seven feet.
The second thought was focused on what the woman was wearing; obviously it was a modest knee-length black dress (the hem of which seemed to reach a bit more below the knees), dark gloves with leathery knee-high boots that successfully covered the rest of the woman's legs. Even her neck was covered by an ascot of some kind. She also adorned a laced veil or shawl over her dark and silvery hair, with a large comb fixed in her braided hair. Every inch of the woman's body, with exception to her face, didn't allow any skin to show off.
She looks like she came back from a funeral, is the impression Mary got.
But the final thought was what truly had Mary staring at the stranger's face in a state of shock. Except, it wasn't a stranger's face she was looking at.
It can't be, Mary struggled to contextualize the impossibility of what or rather who she was in front of her. Skin that held a dark complexion. The faint scarring from a time before entering Hope County. Chapped lips that hadn't been healing for long since arriving to the county. And although her eyes weren't as dull or grey as they should have been, the silver that practically illuminated from those rings around her pupils were not far off from the color she did possess.
Mary wondered if the nearby pale flowers were messing with her mind, their sweet and citrus smell not too far off. Because how else could she rationalize seeing a dead woman standing in front of her.
Though the more she stared at her, the more she her head pounded, her blue eyes blinking as it felt like her retinas burned, and how ill she felt from just standing near her.
It had to be those flowers that were causing such a reaction out of her. Although that didn't explain why the woman in front of her didn't appear to even be as effected by them as she should be. After all, she practically had one of those flowers up to her face, and here Mary was struggling to stand by being a couple steps away from the batch.
"Are you alright, señorita?" the woman asked in a clear and non-slurring tone, with such a familiar voice that held the same purr of the accent that had Mary almost shamelessly swoon when she first heard it, and fuck, did that not sound like her voice.
She could practically remember like it was yesterday, even if it was a little over last week, answering the woman - the deputy's - questions in regards to the cult.
There was no way to get a confirmation without forcing her tongue to form the words and ask the one question that she most certainly knows the answer to.
"I'm fine," she said all too quickly, her words struggling to form properly as her mind withered at the sight of this spitting image of someone she knew and saw on a regular occurrence, "It's just- who are you? What's your name?"
She could hear Drew's steps come closer, but she couldn't focus on that now, even if it was more bearable than focusing on the woman before her, who's very appearance both made her want to collapse from the confusion of it all and yet also hurl from the mixing scents of sweet citruses, sharp woodwork, nature and decay. She blamed that particular response on those flowers though.
The woman before her tilted her head curiously, unblinking, even if the first thing she should be asking was who Mary was, or the approaching Drew, or why Mary shouted to her to stop and get away from the pale flowers, or any number of questions that wouldn't make such a interaction feel even more off than it already was.
Instead, the woman, a mirror of the dead rookie deputy Mary attended the funeral for a week ago, merely gives her a polite smile, and bows her head slightly in greeting and responds to her question with an answer that Mary feared to hear.
"I am Silva. Caretaker of Paul, mi... padre," she tells a disbelieving Mary, her silver eyes glinting with familiarity as she adds, "It is a pleasure to see you again, Señorita Fairgrave."
