These lists are written by the three central characters of the @askthepaldeanpassenger blog!

BREAKDOWN

Completely works off of the Wishlist Template

A variety of physical and abstract items for the Sender to work off of.

Any vague or 'impossible' wishes given OOC notes for.

Short, but descriptive requests of items, but still broad.

Shows examples of wishes being written in-character (Prince, Cyrus) or Out of Character (Maria). Both are valid format

To be able to talk with my siblings and cousins more.

To see Mx. Cyrus and Miss Maria smile together again.

Maria Lumis (Example of items to give ideas of the other characters)

Art depicting sun and moon symbolism.

Ingredients to cook a delicious meal for the three of us.

A nice blanket or warm clothing for Cyrus.

A toy that Prince can play with.

Cyrus Persa (Example of a mix between concrete and abstract items)

Jewelry that is perfect for any occasion.

New clothing for myself, Maria, and/or the Young Master (Prince!).

A record player and a new record to listen to.

A picture/photograph of Prince and Maria.

(OOC Notes:

Prince's list was taken very literally. As such, I don't expect any of them to be too possible to make happen! Even so, I would ask not to find ways to make items 1, 2, or 4 happen, as they would drastically impact the overall story! If you can find a fun or creative way to complete them, I encourage you to try!

On the other hand, Maria and Cyrus have more physical items that would be easier to obtain. Maria prefers one of the other characters to receive the gift instead, so some of her items expand upon the others' lists.

Cyrus has more physical items, but his last two are... certainly odd. I don't expect your character to be able to fulfill them realistically in-character.

In general, so long as you don't try to complete items 1, 2, and 4 on Prince's list, I encourage trying anything from their lists! I would also prefer to keep things more light-hearted and serious, for what it's worth. Finally, if you can think of something that you think is perfect outside the characters' lists, feel free to try!)

Wishlist Example No.2

This is a wishlist example using The Ninetales from @askcursedtales. It goes off script from the wishlist template, but covers all necessary information. Additionally, it has an in-character spin to it!

BREAKDOWN

The list diverts from the given template, but still meets all its requirements.

Multiple options of gifts are listed in the dialogue, and bolded to easily be noted.

OOC Notes assist in elaborating what the Ninetales asks for and even adding another potential gift to consider. Bullet points make the length reasonable

This example is to help people who have characters that may hesitate on participating. You may write your character to be reluctant to give wishes, but can make up for it OOC!

The Ninetales’ Star Sending Wishlist.

“The season of Star Sending… it arrives and somehow I am given an opportunity to ask for my wishes to be granted.

I have none. No wishes I believe I need - or even deserve. But I am encouraged to participate. So, Sender, I bring you this. If it is not in your need, you do not need to do anything. But if you must, The trail to my location can be a difficult one. It was meant to ward me away from the villages.. But. I do not think that should be in their worries anymore. Now, whoever travels to tend to my needs often struggles for the path. Perhaps, Sender, if it is in your ability, you can bring anything of the sorts to decorate the path to my location. It does not have to be grand, but enough to stand out in a dark forest path. Be it a lantern, or something colourful. A guide to where to find me.

If you are unable, then… well, spare a good deed to the villagers at the base of the mountain. It can be as small as helping out in daily chores. Do not tell them that I sent you. But I would be happy if you were to tell me about your day.”

OOC NOTES

The Ninetales… does not ask for much.

Any set of trinkets, or decoration or anything will be met with gratitude. 

As for doing something nice for the villagers, you’re free to make up your own Pokemon for that, or use the kids! 

The only rule is that they have to be Pokemon and no legendaries or anything. 

While I currently don’t have any references of the village environment itself, it would look a lot like Ecruteak, except less roads or stone paths, more open windows and more nature and Pokemon-accommodating environment! 

Surrounding it would be the Autumnal forests seen in the path to the Bell Tower. 

If neither of the two options work, there aren’t many gifts he won’t reject either, as long as they don’t seem over the top or expensive. The fact someone does something thoughtful for him is already a lot. 

He’s not exposed to many nice things, and in fact, would probably appreciate the company that is given for the time being. He will be respectful of your presence and any kindness given towards him

We have Sakura Miku. We should have a Lavender Luka.

I'm trying to prepare myself for the very likely chance that Snow Miku 2026 candidate design 3 won't get chosen for the final design. And the more I think about why I want design 3, the more it comes down to me really liking lavender (and periwinkle, purples with blues, and blueberries).

If we have Sakura Miku, where usually blue-green Miku turns all pink, then we should have another Vocaloid who gets to be uncharacteristically lavender. Lavender season in Japan is in summer, so that doesn't take the spotlight away from Sakura Miku's spring season. OR instead of lavender, maybe lavender hydrangeas. I hear hydrangeas are a big deal in Japan, and I love those flowers.

I nominate Megurine Luka. We should have a Lavender Luka.
