sometimes i see a post going around that makes me think, wow my taste is really different from the general consensus "tumblr taste"
#i mean. i notice it often. but this post really made it obvious#it was an old post with several hundred thousand notes#that made a 'major key version' of lady Gaga's bad romance#with horrible synthetic synthesizers. and a fucking. flute#i presume they also transposed the key but that was the subtlest of the changes they made#and everyone was like omg i love it 🤩 it sounds like video game music#and yeah. it really does. and i loathe most video game music#''it's better than the original 🤩'' wtf? no!#anyway obviously taste in music is very individual#but i do not get it#even as a kid I wasn't that into cartoons and video games#which are a HUGE part of generalized tumblr culture#and now most video game rendering of people make we want to avert my eyes#phew. now that i've got that off my chest#(also the original is brilliant so stfu)#music#tmblr life#gillianthecat goes back to school
