soft giggles left your mouth as you laughed at the joke Minji just made. she looked at you , eyes full of joy and something else… you couldn’t quite tell what it was yet but it was nothing bad. its like she saw and admired your every giggle and move. was it love? you didn’t know. you already figured out that you had a big crush on Minji. you weren’t familiar with this feeling. your heart fluttered every time you saw her, but it was all new to you. Minji gave you several hints during the first week, but you were a bit too nervous to give her hints back. you were really clueless and it showed.

Minji on the other hand, was a bit confused herself, even though she was a bit more experienced than you. she always tried to give you the hint that she liked you but you didn’t seem to give them to her. of course, you always followed her, blushed whenever she gave you a compliment and such, but you just seemed shy to give those hints back… or you were just clueless. Minji still knew you liked her though. and she liked you too. a lot. that was new to her too. she’s never really liked anyone more than you. she always looked at you with eyes full of love, and even though she never showed it, she was just as inexperienced to feeling this new feeling as you. (english isn’t my first language i’m sorry if this was incorrect😭)

back in the present time, it was only five days left until the summer camp would be over. you and Minji were sitting alone at the beach, at night and just enjoying each others presence. Minji made a lot of jokes, as you laughed at them, even if you didn’t find some of them funny. you just liked being around her and she seemed to be feeling the same. as you both stopped laughing, she looked at you and smiled.

“i’m going to miss you for the rest of the summer…” she told you, her expression being a bit sad. your heart sank at the thought of not seeing your Minji everyday…

“i know we exchanged phone numbers but that’s just not enough i guess… i want to see you in person more… do you perhaps… feel the same?” Minji asked after a small pause. she seemed unsure in your feelings somehow and it made you sad. very sad.

“of course i do Minji. you’re the best person i’ve met… why wouldn’t i feel that?” you told her, as you looked up at her with caring eyes. the answer clearly made Minji very happy, because she looked you in the eyes and said:

“y/n… you know i really like you… a lot.”

your heart almost stopped beating when you heard her words. butterflies erupted in your stomach as you blushed. you were too scared to say anything. the silence was a bit awkward. you were so nervous that you couldn’t answer anything. disappointment was on Minjis beautiful face as her face became more sad.

“sorry for bothering. didn’t realize you felt different. i’m really sorry if i made you uncomfortable with all this-“ you interrupted her as your lips met hers. she was very surprised, but she started taking lead in the kiss as she wrapped her hands around your waist and pulled you closer. the kiss was so light and innocent. both of you ended the kiss together and smiled at eachother. that’s when you realized that Kim Minji was your first love.

“i like you a lot too Minji.”

you hear minji getting ready in the other room as you roll your eyes without anyone seeing, in your shared dorm. you were sitting on the couch, while she was fixing her hair and looking at her outfit in the other room.

you and minji were roommates in college. when you first moved in, the first impression of minji was a shy, quiet cute girl, who would be a pretty good roommate but boy, were you wrong.

kim minji, was nothing like you imagined. she was very confident and shameless which made it hard for you, because she wasn’t afraid to flirt with you in public. you were way more shy than minji, so it was hard for you to hang out with her. the most annoying thing about everything was that she was acting like just a friend with you when you guys were alone, like she didn’t act like you were her girlfriend of 5 years in public five minutes ago. but that wasn’t even the most annoying part…

you started developing your crush on her ever since you moved in. you didn’t notice how your crush on minji became so big. you would catch yourself staring at her for minutes and she would just look at you, smirk and walk away. it was hard for you, but not for her. she had her own love life. she went out on dates quite often and that made you pissed sometimes, but you didn’t pay much attention to it, and sooner or later, you learned not to care about minjis love life, and just minji in general. you thought that it was time to move on since minji clearly didn’t think of you as more than just a friend who she flirted with as a joke.

you started hanging out with her more but with a group of friends. you started taking care of your love life more and started treating minji as just a friend. it was okay for you, but not for minji.. she started being more and more jealous of you going out on dates.. it was weird. she’s never felt this way before but she still had a date tonight so she was getting ready for it right now. as she put on her coat and opened the dorm door to go out, she looked at you for a few seconds. you were sitting on the couch in a comfy position with your glasses on, reading a book, probably for the exam that you had tomorrow. she smiled to herself. you looked cute. she closed the door as she left the dorm without saying goodbye.

you were sound asleep on the couch with the book in your hands, when minji got back. she took off her shoes as she sighed. the date went bad. not very bad, the person just wasn’t her type. plus the person wasn’t really engaging in the conversation which made it hard for her to enjoy the date. she glanced at your sleeping figure as she chuckled. that woke you up. you slowly yawned, and looked at her. you smiled and asked her if the date went good.

“hm… it was pretty bad… the person just wasn’t my type i guess…” you looked curious as you sat up on the couch.

“really? what’s your type then ?” minji smirked as she got closer to you.

“you really want to know ? i’ll tell you.” you nodded. your heart was beating faster as she got closer to you. maybe you still liked her..? maybe pushing away those feelings was wrong after all ? you tried to get those thoughs out of your head but all your brain was focusing on at the moment was the person infront of you.

“funny, smart, caring… i also love people who listen to my worries and comfort me… someone like…” minji sat on the couch next to you, as her face got closer to yours.

“someone like you.”

you came out of the bus as you looked around. your other classmates ran out of the bus after you. the sunkissed beach where the school summer camp was, had been one of the most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen. you got your backpack as you looked around and happily followed your group of roommates who went to your cabin where you would be staying for the rest of the two weeks you were going to spend there.

as you and your roommates reached the cabin, you saw an unfamiliar face between your roommates. you thought you knew them all, but one face was unfamiliar. you looked at her and you felt something. it was as if her face was carved by angels. her angelic and nostalgic beauty sent shivers down your spine. you felt like you could stare at her all your life and you wouldn’t be bored of her beauty…

“ hello? “ you heard a voice call out, as you blinked twice and got back to reality. the girl was looking at you with concern, brows furrowed. “are you okay? you’ve been looking at me for a little while and i think you zoned out later?” her voice was a bit deep but still as sweet as honey. you smiled a bit as you stuttered “y-yes i’m okay thank you for asking. i haven’t seen you around here much. what’s your name?” the girl seemed to like you too since she smiled and answered that her name was Minji.

as you and others settled in, you decided to go out and explore a little. you put on your pink summer dress and went out. the air was warm and the sun was shining bright. other people were outside too, including Minji. as you heard, she was a new girl and she would join your class next year. you went closer to the sea, as you breathed in the slightly cold air that was coming from the water. you closed your eyes, as you got lost in your thoughts. suddenly, you felt cold water on your back as you quickly turned around and saw Minji laughing. you smiled as you noticed how pretty her laugh was. you playfully smiled as you splashed the water on her, and she attacked back again. you guys had a water fight, as the both of you laughed, not realizing that you both found each others laughs so cute. at last, you and Minji got a bit tired as you sat down on the warm sand.

“you’re really fun to be around yknow?” Minji smiled and told you, as you blushed.

“thanks. i can say the same about you Minji.” you told her, as her cheeks became a light shade of red too. suddenly, she made an apologetic face and looked at you.

“hey… i’ve never really asked for your name before i’m so sorry! what’s your name?” she asked with an apologetic look on her face.

you smiled as you told her your name.

that’s a really nice name… it suits you. its just as pretty as you.” she told you, as your cheeks became bright red. Minji smiled and hugged you as you hugged back.

“i feel like we’ll get along pretty well y/n.”
