no exactly chad is my BESTIE and my brain has been so full with jordan (the scream oc) thoughts already. but also yes okay into the mara slasherverse;

so real ones will remember my original slasher story idea from a while ago. I'm planning on revamping that idea and making in a part of a (for now) three part anthology series of slasher stories, with obvious space to grow into more.

there's the college campus killer story where seemingly random students are killed off one by one, until the main character Ezra Chen learns there might be more to the story.

next, there is the summer camp gone wrong where a mass murder claims the lives of at least six campers before coming across two particularly daring camp counselors out for revenge.

and finally there's the graduation party from a group of high schoolers who have their entire lives ahead of them — at least, until a secret from their past rears it head and picks them off throughout the night.

that's all I've got for now and its honestly just me wanting my own goosebumps/fear street kind of series and slashers will always have my heart so yeah!

"You look like death warmed over," Luke said as Ant walked into the studio. Ant resisted the urge to tell him to fuck himself. That was the last thing he wanted to hear right now.

As he walked over to the couch and threw himself onto it, Alex asked, "Are you wearing the same clothes as yesterday?"

Bobby made a disgusted noise in the back of his throat. "I know you got your whole grunge thing, but that's kinda gross, man."

"I don't remember asking," he snapped, curling into a ball on the couch.

"Ooh, someone's in a bad mood," Luke teased. Ant prayed that one of his guitar strings broke mid practice.

Reggie walked over and sat beside him, wrapping his arm around his shoulders. Instinctively, Ant buried his face in his chest. He was too exhausted to care about what the guys thought at the moment. "What time did you wake up?"

With a snort, voice half muffled by Reggie's t-shirt, he replied, "You can't wake up if you never got to sleep."

"Why didn't you sleep?" Alex asked, frowning as he sat behind his drums.

Ant reluctantly pushed himself out of Reggie's hold, so he could get up and they could start practice. "Monty was on a bender and someone had to make sure he didn't drug himself to death," he explained with a shrug.

"I will never understand what you see in that guy," Luke grumbled.

Ant sneered, "He could say the same about you." Then he lied down and buried his head under a pillow. "I'm going to sleep. Don't wake me unless someone died or there's a fire."

Oh yeah no you're absolutely right like it's true that Atlus are very tone deaf when it comes to Makoto and her whole wanting to join a police but that's on ATLUS not Makoto herself as a character because like it doesn't even make sense for her??? Like she's seen her father get killed on duty and her sister be corrupted so to speak by this line of work so why the fuck would she want to go into it and change? Especially considering P5 SHOWS US how corrupt the cops are so it's just really weird writing... On ATLUS' part... Idk it low-key makes me annoyed that people are able to forgive bad writing with certain characters but not extend that same curtsy to Makoto.

ava is not a huge fan of any of the spidery hero types. because of the implication of spiders. and the webs are gross.

peter makes an offhand joke about summoning a hoardarmy of spiders and ava is in an internal panic for a solid work-week. she jams a wikipage of the effects of black widow spider bites in natasha’s face, this is you! this is your namesake!! if ava has to find out anything about the great spider totems, she is going to pass out.

in short, ava might not catch the main rw/amazing spider-man/andrew garfield spider-man in a glass, he’s on thin ice tho; but iron spider with those spindly extra robot legs? here comes the giant glass.

Okay so I'll do one for one OC in three different things. Persona Dream Team OC, Shakespearsona OC, and Gamea (my comic) OC.

1. Since we were talking about her, here's a fun fact about Kokoro Hamasaki: In the Dreamworld, Kokoro's main weapon of choice is a pair of chakrams mostly because they're a weapon type we haven't seen in a Persona game yet and also they remind me of Collette from Tales of Symphonia, one of my fave characters in general when I was younger. Her gun weapon is a derringer handgun (those super tiny guns) cause I thought it would suit her.

2. For Shakespearsona, let's talk about Rie Hiiragi (no relation to Alice). You know that joke about how sometimes a character writes themselves? That kinda happened with Rie, namely that I and my collab partner created a character who: has trouble socializing, has strong reactions to being rejected, strongly focuses on a hobby (reading), and is often seen as "weird" or "dumb" by her peers. At some point my dumb autistic ass was like: "Wait, this sounds familiar." So my collab partner and I decided to write Rie as someone on the Autism Spectrum.

3. Finally, Gamea: Since he's currently in the spotlight at this point of my updates, let's talk about dear ol' Hal Tremtin. Back when I created the character in high school, he was kind of meant to be a joke on the (at the time recent) trend in games to make them more gritty and realistic hence why his outfit is just shades of gray and brown. Of course while there are still some games out there who refuse to have any color, Hal has kind of evolved into more of a general arc of learning that you don't need to give up on "childish" things to be an adult and I can't wait for everyone to see that arc play out for him.

Oof that’s a hard one. A few years ago I would’ve said Marvel and the Madison twins. But now I think it’s between The Mandalorian, My Hero Academia, and Tokyo Revengers and the OCs they have. Casali, Yuriko, and Maiko. They’ve been my biggest muses as of late.

What is the take?

Ok so whenever someone mentions something about having difficulty options people will be like "but that goes against the creator's vision, they want people to learn from failure and figure it out!"

But people can still fail a bunch and learn from their mistakes on easy mode because people have *different skill levels.* The core theme of the gameplay, being knocked down and getting back up again and learning the strategy isn't lost if someone plays on easy mode because they're probably playing on easy mode because that IS hard for them. And that's not even getting into disabilities and a whole bunch of other shit. Like, idk you don't throw a twelve year old onto a highschool football team so they can "learn to get better at the game," you start them with people at their level and then they get better and they're STILL going to struggle.

But you know an example of a difficulty option that DOES go against a game's themes? Nuzlockes. The point of Pokemon is bonding with your team, overcoming challenges together, and using your favorites to explore the world. So limiting the Pokemon a player can catch, having them be useless after they're defeated, limiting the amount you can experiment and learn and grow, actually IS against the creator's visions.

AND YET we don't have this argument whenever someone asks for an official Nuzlocke mode in Pokémon games! And I know when I say it like that I sound like an asshole, that's the point. Bitching about how other people play games is stupid. Video Games as a medium are well suited to embracing Death of the Author, for better or worse, so fuck what the creator intended. Most gamers do that anyway because the urge to see what you can break is strong. So WHY do we ONLY care about the developers' intentions when it comes to people saying "hey can there be an optional mode to make this easier that won't affect anyone else?"

Stevie's dad is the main reason for all of her musical influences. he was really big into music when he was younger, and wanted to pass that on to his children. he named her Stevie after Stevie Nicks, taught her how to play guitar and bass, and would always take her to record stores and those music swap meetups.

her dad was kind of a hippie back then who would travel from festival to festival so you can imagine what kind of a person he was back then. Stevie loves flipping through old photo books with him and seeing the insane kind of stuff her dad got up to when he was younger. it's sort of what she aspires to do when she's a bit older herself. her dad has already promised to be at every festival she'll ever play at.

It was too early for Ant to be awake. It was too early for anyone to be awake, frankly. The sun hadn't even fully come up yet.

This was all stupid Luke's fault. Like most issues in Ant's life.

He'd called a few minutes ago and ranting and raving about some kind emergency band meeting about a super important show they had to do, which obviously had woken Reggie up, which in turn woke up Ant. Now he was laying in Reggie's bed, pissed off.

"One of these day," Ant grumbled into Reggie's pillow. "I'm going to kill him."

"You don't mean that. You secretly love him," Reggie said, pulling a shirt on over his head.

Ant's face scrunched in disgust. "Ew. How could you even think that?"

Reggie laughed and Ant threw his pillow at him.

"What're you laughing at?" Ant whined. "I'm being serious."

Reggie stopped doing putting on his belt to walk forward and kiss his cheek bone. "Nothing. You're cute when you're half asleep."

"I'm coming for you next, Reginald." Ant pushed himself upright. "Do you want me to come with you?"

Reggie smiled in that way that meant yes, he would but he wouldn't be asking for it. "You don't have to. It's just a dumb band thing."

"If you think it's important, then it's important," Ant said and Reggie beamed. He grabbed Ant's face and kissed him.

Against his lips, Ant continued, "'Sides, I'd better come along so your parents don't wonder why I'm in your bed and you're not."

Reggie pulled away with a serious nod. "Very good point."

gives nose/forehead kisses: both! i suppose if we got specific, joaquin would aim more for her nose or forehead; farrah would aim for his cheek or the side of his mouth. gets jealous the most: farrah ... picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: joaquin picks up farrah. and probably ends up running into sam and/or bucky picking up ava from the same place. (it's a private mutant-only bar). takes care of on sick days: also both! you might expect joaquin to be better at it, and while he's good, it's actually farrah who excels in sick-day-comfort. drags the other person out into the water on beach day: farrah. living in australia a lot in her youth gave her an affection towards beach days, she loves sunbathing and finding shells. joaquin would be the type to pick her up off her towel and haul her out to the water. gives unprompted massages: joaquin, especially when he notices she's getting stressed. drives/rides shotgun: farrah is shotgun, joaquin drives. farrah will still haul herself across his lap to talk out the window at drive-thrus though. brings the other lunch at work: maybe not a homemade lunch - or even necessarily lunch - but it would be farrah bringing something for joaquin. has the better parental relationship: joaquin. tries to start role-playing in bed: maybe farrah? i don't know if they'd actually stick to it though. i think they'd devolve into giggling too quickly. embarrassingly drunk dancer: neither? just because i don't think either would be embarrassed, they'd be endeared. farrah already knows joaquin is a bit of a dork, joaquin likes to see farrah drop her whole 'put-together' act and have fun. still cries watching Titanic: neither? farrah is the one who would cry more over movies though, especially when it came to ones about family relationships (think encanto, turning red, when marnie was there, etc). firmly believes in couples costumes: farrah. morticia and gomez? danny and sandy? maverick and charlie? yeah. breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: farrah. she's an ex-rich kid, what do you expect? makes the other eat breakfast: joaquin. farrah will sometimes try to skip breakfast. he's not having it. remembers anniversaries: both! joaquin has them in his phone calendar, farrah keeps a physical small calendar on-hand. brings up having kids: joaquin. he has the better family relationship. farrah worries about being a bad parent like her's were. joaquin doesn't push but assures her that she's not like her parents.

How long does it take for your OC to fall asleep and wake up?

It takes quite a while for Beauregard to fall asleep. He's got a lot on his mind and has a lot of bad things his mind can dwell on as he tries to drift off. I'd say he takes a while to wake up, too. He's a grumpy morning person and has to build motivation and momentum before being able to waken fully.

What time of the day are they most functional?

That sweet spot that hits right after his coffee kicks in, but he's not quite bogged down by the day yet. He likes to think he can be productive once he's "off" for the day and sitting in his study, but he rarely gets anything done other than wallowing or zoning out.

Do they get lots of sleep or are they working off of a couple hours?

Time is a little quirky in the Underworld, but he's lucky if he gets the equivalent of 5 hours. There's a lot on his mind, and ruling Hell is demanding work.

Is there one particular character trait that your OC embodies?

Impatience is definitely a big one. He got to where he was by rushing through his magic training. He never earned his throne. His father handed it to him like a birthday present, all because he was too impatient to do the hard work.

Another big one would be that he's spiteful or unforgiving. This man will hold a grudge until the end of time, and he often lets it control him.

What is a trait that they value most in others?

Integrity, 100%. He was raised by people who lied through their teeth with almost every word they spoke, and constantly works with people who have no issue with stabbing others in the back. Beauregard may be a cruel man, but he is a man of his word. Admittedly, he will on occasion trick someone, but he does it in an "honest" fashion. He'll follow the letter of each contract and deal he makes, but sometimes includes the fine print that went over the other party's head.

What is one trait that they share with another character?

Beauregard and his original variant, Bo, expectedly share quite a few traits. A main one would be that they are both very distrusting, and it takes a good while for them to lose their doubt in another.

What is a goal your OC is working towards?

In his main fic, Confessions of a Teenage Mortal, his main goal is to break the curse, regain his powers, take back his throne, and exact revenge on the one who cursed him.

Do they have smaller goals as well as something large?

Whether he's aware of it or not, but the path to his main goal is paved with many smaller ones. Most of them have to do with personal growth, such as learning to trust others, show kindness, practice patience, stuff like that.

What progress have they made?

Where I'm at in the story at the moment, he's made next to no progress at all 😆 He's got an awfully long way to go

Are they open to revision or adamant about what they need to accomplish?

The last thing this man wants to hear is someone telling him he needs to accomplish any of the above. As I said, he is a very impatient man, and all he wants is to take back what he believes is rightfully his, without any "foolish personal growth."
