Major congratulations to our Co-Chair Kerry Washington for winning the 2023 “Equity in Entertainment” award at the 2023 Hollywood Reporter #WomenInEntertainment Gala! 💙
"I think I’m not the best singer in the world at all, but no one else can sing my songs like me because they didn’t write them. No one can sing my songs like me, period. They can’t sing. The lyrics are not their own. And I don’t think anyone else should sing my songs."(Laughs.)
Women In Entertainment's 6th Annual Summit on 6/22 from 8:30am - 4:30 pm.

just kidding fuckfaces i’m back!!! i want to be a streamer but i want to be known in the way that boys are known instead of the way that girls are known because i know if i was to stream every joke would hit just wrong and i would either be mercilessly attacked for my appearance or told that i’m only worth as much as my appearance depending on whether or not my audience finds me attractive anyways goodbye
I am writing this here because I read something (again) that bothers me about how people view women vs men. I know Superbowl was some time ago. I am in the portion of people that likes watching the half-time show. I enjoyed the Weeknd's performance, they're no Lady Gaga but I'm not going into my favorite or least favorite half time shows right now. What I want to talk about is the comment I've been reading "Well, at least I didn't have to cover my children's eyes compared to last time."
If you watch the superbowl half time shows, you may recall J-Lo and Shakira performed last years show. They were dressed as how I refer to as dancers. It was a well put together performance piece when looking at it through my background as a dancer.
I love the Weeknd's music but with the amount of lewdity, I'd never let my kids listen to them until they are older. So I wonder how many of these parents who shielded their children's eyes, also, shielded their children's ears. Or are humans (once again) thinking of women only as sex objects and men aren't at fault because he's not scantily clothed.
