Finally, one more project completed! Amusingly enough, I found setting all the straps the most difficult in all of this! The tooling of the big plates was relatively easy, with the pressure of failing growing as I was affixing every piece one after the other... In the workshop this weekend I had the challenge of helping @corinnabage to create a curious musical instrument, a variation on the water-phone, this will be a water-harp! I'm not quite sure what it is going to sound like, but I've had a lot of fun dreaming up and then making the odd custom component. Today my oak stool has really started to take shape, and I've rapidly discovered that I've prepared not nearly enough spindles! This is the downside of coming back to greenwood furniture after a 10+ year gap and having got used to making up designs as I go along.
