Butches who don’t have traditionally masculine interests or mannerisms or whatever. Effeminate butches. Butches who take inspo from gay men. Butches who like the occasional dress or skirt. TRANSFEM BUTCHES!!!!! And any other butches who don’t fit a certain mold!! All butches are good butches and we are all valid.

Honestly my personal Shadowzel head canon is that shadowheart is uming and arring about catching strong feelings in a friend with benefits weird situationship because lae'zel doesn't seem to want more, while lae'zel is convinced she is with the love of her life.

This is mostly on Shadowheart for not bothering to work at a cultural barrier but it's also a little on Lae'zel who refuses to use any terms of endearment that aren't in Githyanki, a language she mostly switches to in order to insult people.

The VtM doctor superion AU manuscript is still waiting for revision. Patience! At least it has a title now.

Meanwhile, I've started work on the other longer doctor superion AU which I've dubbed the "teenagers AU" (it has a title too but I don't want to mention it just yet). That should take me a few months.

This means I get to reiterate how only drabbles will be posted (with their usual regularity) while these stories get done. I'm still here, of course, just a little bit quieter instead of seeking out forgotten WN posts people don't reblog anymore so I can reblog them myself -- then again, I do occasionally pop into Dreamwidth to talk about other things apart from WN and fictional nuns in general, so there's that too and you're welcome to come hang out :)

“how are you gonna prepare them for the nhl if the rules are different?!” this is not an nhl run event. this is not the george parros department of player safety or the gary bettman league. this is not the ‘nhl prospect practice and preparation tournament’, this is the world junior hockey championship. it is its own entity unto itself and for its own ends, it is not just a stepping stone for your favourite budding superstars to gain prestige and fanfare before they move on to the only “big league” that north american hockey fans consider significant or meaningful. it plays a larger role in the development of not only players, but also of entire hockey training programs in countries where hockey, even men’s hockey, is an under-funded or less established sport.

not all of these kids are going to go on to be nhl players. ALL of them should get the chance to grow up to be adults who don’t have their quality of life degraded by lingering head injuries and cte.
