Anon Request Prompt: Y/N is a trainer (very well known for her badassness) She just came back from a mission; she gets a little jelly that Tris and Four had gotten closer. There’s some feelings but on who’s end? Four asks Y/N to help Tris. Being the amazing person she is, she agrees to help, but in the process she gets hurt. After the mission ends she returns home only to have an argument with Four. Leads to late night confessions  

I’m also making Y/N a Divergent but in secret.

Four ran from the room he and Tris were in, Jeanin laid unconscious on the floor. His mind reeled back to you. His panic set in, the two of them ran together, Caleb, Marcus and Will were not too far behind them. “ We need to get to the train!” Tris says, she shifts her gaze to Four.

Four growls in irritation, you should’ve been back by now and you're not. Four comes to a halt and so does the rest of the group. 

“ What are you doing? We need to go now!” Tris yells.

“ It’s Y/N. I can’t leave. Just go to the train and get on, I’ll be right behind you guys”  Four runs in the opposite direction back into the building hunting for you. He’ll be damned if he were to ever leave you behind. He’ll be damned if you're hurt, and if you were he only had himself to blame. He asked you to do this mission, it was a rushed process he knew that. Yet his heart still sank, he needed to make sure you were safe. He had so many things to say to you things he wished he had said earlier. So many emotions filtered through his mind and he only could think about you. 

As if on cue, you stumbled out of the room that you and Eric were fighting in. Grabbing both hands he socked you in the side of the ribs repeatedly. You curved in on yourself in an attempt to block the punches. Eric managed to corner you between the wall and himself. Four panicked yelling at the top of his lungs from the other end of the hall “ GET OFF HER!” Four took off into a full sprint. Eric snapped his head towards four realizing that he was in fact awake and not affected by the serum. You took advantage of his distraction. You’ll definitely need to thank Four for that later. You pushed the hand away that held your wrist. Reach up and over Eric’s head you forced it down, locking it in place with your other hand. You jumped up so that you could wrap your legs around his waist. You planned on putting his ass to sleep. You squeezed your arms tight, cutting off his air supply. 

Four slowed down as he neared you, Eric groaned in pain as he tried to push you off of him. He resorted to punching you in the side causing you to lose your grip. You groan in pain as your grip slips from your fingers. You dropped to the floor while Eric attempted to grab you again. Four took off in a sprint tackling Eric to the ground. You took this as a second to recover looking for anything to take him down. By now all the little Knick knack of weapons that you had on you were gone due to the fight with Eric. Four battled it out with Eric, you stumbled up searching for anything to stop Eric. Your eyes landed on a piece of round metal, you ran towards it reaching for it. You stopped in your tracks holding it in your hand, it was a smoke grenade. Your eyes snapped in the direction of Four and Eric. As they wrestled amongst each other, you waited for an opportunity for them to separate. You started off in a jog before fully running you shouted Fours name as you pulled the clip from its slot and tossed it. Both Eric and Four stopped to look at you. Eric, not having time to react, Four punched him in the face taking off in the opposite direction. You threw the grenade forcing him to collapse and cover his face while you and Four barely made it out of the room-heading for the trains.

The train had led the group to Amity, a safe haven for now though it wasn’t ideal but it was necessary. The group had jumped off the train landing in the grass near the open field. Everyone graciously landed on the grass except you. The pain you now felt in your side was immense, the adrenaline in your body slowing down allowing all the damage your body took, catching up to you all at once. You were tired, your body wanted to give out, sweat rolled down your face, you pushed yourself up, you couldn’t breathe, it seemed to become more difficult as you tried to catch your breath. You swayed for a second or two. The thing was you didn’t land incorrectly, you landed how you were taught. So why can’t you breathe? The group had walked a good distance before Four noticed your absence. He turned around and saw you standing in place, you looked so defeated, but you also looked like you were about to drop.

 Four ran over to you as he yelled your name “ Y/N?!”, your body swayed again. You knew you couldn’t stand for much longer. In that very same second your body gave out your eyes  fluttering shut. The last image was Four’s concerned face as he caught you in his arms..” Hey, Hey, keep your eyes open. You can’t sleep, Stay awake” Four checked everywhere he could possibly as he searched for wounds. You had a few cuts and bruises here and there. What captured his attention was the broken rib that perturbed out so far that it pressed into the suit you wore, the back of your head carried an injury that caused it to bleed. Damnit! It was you, he did this to you, out of all people. He cursed himself, as he lifted you up and carried you bridal style. This was the last thing he wanted and yet he was the one who asked you to do this mission to start this war. You willingly followed him, even though you told him it was a bad idea. You were always right but somehow you kept it to yourself and you never told him so, he would always find out the hard way. This time it was different, he let someone else talk him into it and you tried to stop him, to make him wait. If only he had listened. You were his best friend but in this moment you meant more to him than anything else. 

You laid in the hospital bed bandaged up asleep. Four held your hand in his as he rested his elbows on the bed, his lips resting against your hand. It had been about two days, you hadn’t woken up yet, you just continued to sleep, Four paid attention to your breathing every now and then to make sure you were in fact breathing. Four caught in a trance he hadn’t noticed Marcus walk into the room, “ I think you should eat and get some rest-” Marcus walks over to him, placing the food on the bedside of the table. Marcus placed his hand on Four’s shoulder to bring comfort to him in hopes he might take a break. “ -Tobias” Four flinches, it brings him to reality.. His name sounded wrong in his mouth, his touch burned, it wasn’t the touch he yearned for or the way his name was said by only you. Yet here you were laying in this bed, because of him. He never looked away from your face, watching you sleep, you looked so peaceful, in a way it made his heart twist. A piece of hair rested against your face in the way, one of his hands let go of yours, he reached over and pushed it out of the way. He caressed your face gently. Marcus sighed leaving the room quietly giving him the space and privacy with you. 

A memory of you filled his mind as your smile appeared, you and Four had decided it would be a good time to prank Eric by replacing his mattress with farting cushions, so that every time he rolled over it would fart. Those damn farting sounds woke up the entire unit. Your laughter filled his ears. His heart swooned again, oh how he wished he could hear it right now. He closed his eyes just long enough so that he could hear your laugh and see your smile. Though when he opened his eyes he realized that you may just be in this state for a while. A bad memory filled his mind as it flashed back to you fighting Eric in the Warehouse, you fought with purpose, and he wished he would have taken it back-

“ Well you look like shit. Stop scrunching your face like that, you’re gonna get wrinkles” Your voice hoarse as you spoke. Four opened his eyes as he looked at you. You were a sight for sore eyes, his heart swelled at the sound of your voice. He wasn’t sure if this was a dream or if it was real. You smiled at him.

Four chuckled “Oh is that so?” He questioned still lost in you.

“ Yeah” You continued to smile as you spoke softly 

“ Mmh I wonder who told you that.” He replied carrying the same volume

“ You” You watched Four hold your hand as he looked away from your face, guilt filled his chest. You had seen his mood shift and just as you were about to ask him what was wrong Tris had walked in with a tray of food. She stops in her tracts realizing that you were awake. Four straightens up in his chair. By the looks of it not only did she care to feed him but she cut her hair too, her smile not quite reaching you but directed at Four. Of course it was. Your eyes drifted between the two. Tris cleared her throat “ Um I brought you food, I know you haven’t eaten all day. Oh uh Y/n you’re up, I am so glad you are finally awake” 

You gave her a simple “mhm” as you turned slightly on your good side, kind of showing your back to her and the door. You faced the window and Four. You watched Four watch her, he was hesitant “Uh thank you Tris, you can leave it right there on the counter” He nodded towards it giving her a smile. She yet again returns it before leaving, giving him one last look. You rolled your eyes groaning in pain as you sat up slowly pushing Four out of the way. No way in hell were you planning on staying here to watch this shit happen. Four shook his head “ No you need to lay down” 

You shoved his hands away. “ Fuck it I am leaving”

“ You can’t leave Y/n” Four argued back as he tried to get you to stay on the bed. 

“ Watch me” You winced as you shoved him out of the way standing barely on your own two feet

“ Y/n come on. Don’t do this, just lay back down and get some rest”

“ No, I’m leaving, I can't stay here.”

“We need to lay low. Which is something you already know.”

“ We, please more like you and Tris with your little group you call family. I am not needed and that much is clear. What a great way to wake up”

“Is that what this is about? Tris?” He asks, watching your reaction closely, you however couldn’t find a way to answer that question without being rude. You also were tired of hiding your feelings for him. 

“ You know what so what if it is” You questioned as you tried to walk past him but it was a struggle. Four grabbed your arm holding you in place. “ Four don’t make me kick your ass”

“ What has she done to you that you hate her so much? If you hated her so much then why did you help take down Erudite-”

“ I didn't do it for her! I did it for you!” You challenged as two stared at each other. It was time to let him know even if this doesn’t go the way you’d like. 

“ What?” Four let go of your arm. 

“ I. did. it . for. You. Because I care for you more than I should. I am in love with you and I have been since I met you. You are the one person that I can’t live without. I put my feelings aside because it was the right thing to do. It was never just for her” You told him, as a tear slipped out of your cheek. You had held that in for so long that when it came out it was more powerful than it should've been. “ But what does that matter? She’s the one you want, you two can save the factions together. You don’t need me” You stated as you took a step away from Four. 

“ She’s not the one I want” Four says as he stares into you from behind. He wasn’t about to let you walk away after he almost lost you. Tris was not the person he wanted in his life as much as he wanted you in his life. You didn’t turn around, instead you chose to stay in your place. You waited. What if he was only saying that just to say. You were a sucker for him, one word, one phrase or sentence was enough to keep you here, but could you really do that to yourself? Four walked over to you turning you around to face him, He cupped your face in his hands. 

“ You are the one I want, Y/n. How can I save factions if the one person who knows me the best isn’t my partner. You have been by my side supporting me every step of the way. It wasn’t until the moment I thought I lost you that, it was you.” Four rested his forehead against yours.

 He shook his head, “ She was never you, she couldn’t be but I did have to help her. I knew what she was and that was life that needed to be saved. That doesn’t make things better but I had to help. It’s what you would’ve done”

You sighed “ Tobias-” Four couldn’t take it much longer pulling you into a kiss capturing your lips with his, the way you folded into each other was like a perfect mold. Four’s hands moved from your face sliding down your sides wrapping his arms around you. Yours wrapped around his neck, your fingers carting through his hair. You both must've been holding back from each other, as you both took the breath from each other's lungs. You both held so much passion and love that it felt as if no time had passed, the only indicator was the need for air and the pain in your ribs. You both pull away, while you wince slightly.  

“You okay?”

“ Yeah, just keep in mind the next time you do that, let me know so my ribs don’t hurt” You tell him.

“ I will be sure to warn you, but can I just say Jealous is a good look on you”

sorry this is a bit scattered, the random quotes are just lines that i liked/found funny. i had to shorten all my reasonings by a fuck ton bcs i was just going on forever lmao, so if some things feel kinda cut off, that's why.

i binged all of rick and morty in like a week to make this, just to make sure the ranking was fully accurate to me and it took me way to long but i'm finally done !!

btw this isnt a ranking of which episodes are objectively the best, its very biased and just my personal opinions, im aware some epsiodes definitely shouldnt be as high as they are but a lot of them are just my comfort episodes 🤷

f tier: episodes i actively dislike, have little to no redeeming qualities.

71. rickdependance spray: audibly said "oh, fuck no." when i realised this was next. the rest of weird-ish episodes have some redeeming points but this one just has no plot relevance and isnt very funny.

70. raising gazorpazorp: main reason i dislike this episode is the end credit, it reminds me of when i was listening to family line and my dad insinuated conan was making it up and that if i got famous i'd do the same, like, no, if i talk abt what a shitty dad you are its bcs you were a shitty dad, do better. anyway i just thought it was an unfunny joke. due to daddy issues. also its just a boring episode.

69. a rickconvenient mort: summer and rick's storyline was ok but not enough to make up for how much i hate planetina. i liked beth in this episode. rick and summer's dynamic was nice too, but unhealthy.

e tier: episodes i don't dislike, just find boring/have bad elements but more redeeming qualities.

68. m. night shaym-aliens!: the little crystal wrestle was adorable. other than that not a super memorable episode.

67. rise of the numbericons: the movie: i didn't hate it but compared to the rest of s7 it was pretty weak. i think mr goldenfold is funny, but not enough to get his own episode. it would've been more entertaining if rick was in it lets be real, i missed him.

66. interdimensional cable 2: tempting fate: i care very little about jerry's penis. the interdimensional cable was good as usual though.

65. how poopy got his poop back: fine episode, not my fav. i liked seeing bp and squanchy again.

64. edge of tomorty: rick die rickpeat: "Damn, Morty, you're bad at maths, but I'm giving you an a-plus in confidence!" an okay episode.

63. rick: a mort well lived: pretty weak episode to follow solaricks. summer's die hard was good. some cool emotional components.

62. rattlestar ricklactia: "Hey, Morty, listen. I can tell you're pretty upset about the whole snake encounter thing, so I'll tell you what. I'm just gonna go ahead and avoid you for the rest of the day." rnm were kind of cute at the end. yk, until rick punched morty in the face :/.

61. the jerrick trap: sorry ik a lot of ppl love this episode but tho burger & fries were cute characters its not all that for me. memory rick's return, however, was all that. i love him.

60. childrick of mort: "Oh my god, grandpa, you fuck boy." rick being a space nerd <3. loved to see more of beth and rick together but other than that this episode was kinda mid.

59. amortycan grickfitti: honestly made me feel bad for jerry which isnt easy, i sort of liked rick here, he seemed reluctant to let the hell demons make fun of jerry, he still did, but even apologised with only a little prompting. can't say the same for beth. summer and morty were sweet in this episode, i wish we would get more of them.

58. rickmancing the stone: "I don't know why I'm crying." "Well... try crying 15% less?" not bad, i liked the emotional components.

57. mortynight run: again, not super memorable to me. the roy montage was good. You kind of wasted your 30's, though, with that whole birdwatching phase." the animation for the song was great.

d tier: mostly okay to good episodes with minor faults that i can look past in the general scheme of the episode.

56. one crew over the crewcoo's morty: fucked up what rick did to morty. and to mr pb, his life went to shit after this, bcs of rick.

55. night family: had some great moments, but wasnt my fav.

54. anatomy park: loved dr bloom, john oliver voiced him perfectly.

53. lawnmower dog: sweet scenes between rnm. liked the dream inceptor, loved scary terry, snuffles was good too but not as much.

52. claw and hoarder: special ricktims morty: "Are you gonna slay it?" "First off, i always slay it, queen. Secondly, yes." summer being on morty's side was nice. while the soul orgy was a bit weird, the rest of this episode was pretty entertaining which is why its higher up, sorry.

51. bethic twinstinct: jerry saying he would khs, not cool jerry fuck you. "You ladies discuss responsibility while i get stoned and play video games with your kids." the end 💀 i felt bad but it was funny lol.

50. final desmitation: maybe my fav ep of jerry and rick's relationship. i liked seeing rick disapprove of them making fun of jerry, had some funny moments and i even liked jerry here.

49. a rick in king mortur's mort: not the best but i enjoyed rickbot being nice to morty. also this episode sets up for rmrm which i love.

48. promortyus: morty's little yee-haw 😭. and their conversation, so sweet. taking the adderall line as an adhd rick confirmation. "It is my thing. Just like yours is dying alone," get his ass. i feel like the romance couldve been a compelling story if the hosts werent rnm.

47. the whirly dirly conspiracy: rick's take on jerry was accurate. "But no, like father like goddamn daughter! You wanna be like Rick? Congratulations, you're just as arrogant and just as irresponsible!" morty ate. i prefered summer and beths storyline to rick and jerry's.

c tier: solid, episodes, some have a few faults but theyre small

46. mort: ragnarick: it's so high up because i found rick to be likeable and liked his dynamic with morty. ricks clone was cute too.

45. look who's purging now: "Screw you, Rick! I'll purge you too, you old rickety piece of crap!" rnm's storyline was great, i liked arthrisha.

44. the ricks must be crazy: "I dropped out of school. It's not a place for smart people." "Ohhhh, snap!" lmao literally my reaction. "Ooh. Wow. Gaaay!" "That is pretty gay." not much more to say, good ep.

43. never ricking morty: rnm were sweet in this ep. the gay ass song with rick and bp. "Rick are you– do you need to go to the hospital?" the forehead kiss was sweet. (we're ignoring "Lips if you want.")

42. mort dinner rick andre: mr nimbus is a great character. the wine storyline was a bit boring. "I havent been to a full week of school in years! I don't know shit!" love the peek at rick's backstory too.

41. rick potion #9: important lore episode. some funny bits. morty was a little creepy in this one. i love jerry primes character development. first look on down from the bridge moment !!

40. forgetting sarick mortshall: "What are you, eight? Is this macaroni art? You expect me to believe you built this because you don't care?" liked ricks storyline and he actually does seem to be showing minor development. the end song was good. liked garbage goober's lore.

39. morty's mindblowers: rick removing whatever memories he wanted was fucked up. rick saying granite instead of granted will always be funny. also him losing in chackers and skiing into a tree.

38. mortyplicity: entertaining enough if a little convoluted, i liked it though. sweet moment between the decoy family, shame they died.

b tier: good to great episodes.

37. big trouble in little sanchez: actually liked jerry and beths storyline in this one. tiny riiick !! "old rick! ruining everything!" good episode.

36. pilot: good intro, sets the tone. rick is such a dick (affectionate). rnm's dynamic !! the animation is great. overall great episode.

35. pickle rick: ik its a overrated but i think its good. hes pickle riiiick. dr wong's speech to rick was actually really good and accurate.

34. meeseeks and destroy: rick was such a whiny bitch this episode (affectionate), up until the mr jellybean stuff, which i liked bcs it was handled well by the writers and rick was actually very sweet.

33. rick and morty's thanksploitation spectacular: president curtis' alcoholic sci-fi boyfriend is probably my favourite way rick has been refered to in the show LOL. overall i enjoyed this episode.

32. something ricked this way comes: idc now but, the first time watching rick's r slur speech it was obnoxious and offputting. summer and rick were great, i adore their dynamic, love summer and rick episodes, but idrc for jerry's storyline, he bores me so bad.

31. full meta jackrick: "Rick can't change, Morty. Change is what you might call his Kryptonite." there were a lot of things i liked abt this ep.

30. vindicators 3: the return of worldender: very good episode. forever a believer that the ride was for morty and rick just chickened out.

29. a rickle in time: the va for the testicle monster was great. beth and jerry's storyline also wasn't bad. rick jumping into the hole and sacrificing his life for morty, im sobbing. great episode.

28. the vat of acid episode: morty trying to make rick feel better about not being able to make the thing was very sweet. morty's relationship with that girl was adorable, so sad it was erased by jerry's dumb ass /lh. fuck rick in this episode. the end was funny.

27. rixty minutes: while i do love interdimensional cable this episode would've been lower if it wasn't for all the character moments. "You can't leave, you're 17." "Yeah, and I'm not pregnant. I'm gonna have better judgement than you guys had at my age." loved summer getting screentime. beth and jerry's moment was quite sweet.

24. juricksick mort: tbh i mostly like this ep bcs of "You pompous autistic cadaver!" but there was other good moments and it was entertaining. rick was funny and likeable and very much a disaster of a human being, as i was promised when i started watching rnm.

23. star mort rickturn of the jerri: space beth !! "You cosplay as your shitty father in his 30's." "Its funny. I always wondered who would win if we ever fought." "Then you were always a bad friend." :(. "Holy shit, I'm a terrible father." i forgot how good this episode was, very angsty.

16. that's amorte: FANTASTIC episode, the end montage is the only part of any rnm episode thats made me cry a little, it would be higher up but i have some personal favs which i put higher. i feel like this episode was very classic rnm after having them separated half of s7.

15. the old man and the seat: jerry and morty's dynamic is pretty funny. tony and rick's storyline was fantastic. some pretty angsty stuff. "The saaaddest piece of garbage in the entire cosmos."

14. the abc's of beth: rick and beth episode !! rick saying that an adventure clearly needs morty in it, aw. i did not care about jerry's storyline at all. beth had no right being so relatable in this ep.

I'll get neurotypical cooties." ok, so ik a lot of ppl don't like the speech rick said to morty, but i do, he was going through a LOT, this clearly took him quite a few steps back in development and healing, i think it was less bad than a lot of other things he's done and way more justified.

12. fear no mort: loved morty getting his time to shine, LOVED diane and rick. morty realising rick wasn't in the hole has to be one of the best moments in the show. rick not going in the hole at the end bcs morty told him not to, hope some day he'll get to the point of doing things for morty in front of him so he can realise how much he cares.

Pickles: knows hes attracted to men and women equally, has been in long term relationships with both. doesnt know the word 'bisexual', but probably identifies with a very outdated a region-specific term no one else remembers. simply does not mention it and views it as a part of his life thats over now because its not socially acceptable in his new friend group. this doesnt bother him because he has more tail than he knows what to do with already and isnt looking for a romantic relationship (side eyes towards nathan, who pickles views as straight and so off the table so no relationships required right now) ---> longer version of this

Nathan: Does not know hes attracted to men and women (with preference to women). he has a very vague understanding of his own attraction to anyone at all and doesnt sit around thinking about stuff like that, so someone else would have to make the first move (unfortunately pickles literally never would). Generally, this is how hes always dating/banged women, they all just present themselves to him and give him the date/fuck option and he picks one based on their outfit. Generally this is how i think he got with rebecca, she just presented herself as his girlfriend and so he didn't really have much say in the manner. Trindle seemed like someone he would fuck but he tried to shake up his own sorting system and made the wrong choice. I think Abigail strongly confused his system and thats why hes so hung up and cant read her negative signals.

Skwisgaar: knows he likes men but has a preference for women due to his breeding fetish and enjoyment of taking care of older women and showing them a good time. has fucked dudes primarily in threesomes (melmord) but has a deep yearning to experiment and try everything possible with men (the staring contest extra), but he gets embarrassed easily (anxiety) and so doesnt branch out much.

Savanaclaw:

Leona:

-Farena: We already know Leona describes his brother as being carefree and relaxed, but deep under that I think he’s a deeply intelligent man (how can you run a kingdom and be stupid?). He tries his best to make time in his schedule for his wife and child, and even try to get bonding tike with his younger brother (which never works out well). He tries to teach Cheka as much as he can, often giving him little life lessons while they play games. He’s a very kind and straightforward man, often being blunt when he doesn’t mean to. He stands a little taller than Leona, with Orange hair similar to Chekas. He keeps his hair tied out of his face as much as he can.

-Sister-in-law Kingscholar: A strong and confident woman, not afraid to speak her mind when she wants to. She’s blunt and she’d let you know about it. She’s also very kind in her own way, often dragging Leona off and trying to have serious talks with him, which he appreciates but doesn’t show. She adores Cheka and often spoils him without meaning to, and will spoil Leona too (but indirectly in a way similar to Ace’s father’s). Also very intelligent and good at reading people. I think she stands a little shorter than Leona, but she holds herself higher, and he slouches, so it looks as if they’re the same height. She has long yellow hair (again, similar to the ends of Cheka’s) that she often ties back as well.

-Cheka: We already know him, so heres a few Hcs!: He sometimes asks his mother to do his hair the same way as Leona’s, and tries to do everything like him (such as standing like him, trying to deepen his voice to sound like him, throwing sand at various objects in the castle yelling “King’s Roar!!”)

Ruggie:

-Grandma Bucchi: As he said himself, a stern and prideful woman. I think she’d be on the stricter side, having to teach Ruggie how to survive rather than him having to face those hard truths alone. She likely stands a lot shorter, likely 5’0 (sorry to anyone whos that height), than most other beastwomen. She’s a lot physically stronger than she looks, often still trying to pick Ruggie up at his age. She tries to spoil him when she can, trying to make him relax after working and taking over the household chores (which he declines, still cleaning up when she’s not looking- which earns him a smack to the head with a broom). She’s also a prankster, quietly jumping out from corners and scaring Ruggie or one of the other children. I think she feels a lot of regret over seeing Ruggie grow up so fast in the environment that he had, but she’s the proudest grandma ever. Whenever he sends pictures back she boasts to everyone at home (“See that! That’s my grandson’s school! See that there! He plays magift and is one of the best on the team! Look there! He’s got those nice ceremony robes!”), and even boasts about him with what little baby pictures they have (“See him walking at such a young age? Isn’t he so strong?”) Will never stop talking about her grandson, ever.

-Neighborhood kids: I think they’re like little siblings to Ruggie, so I’m adding them. They try to tale over what Ruggie did when he was at home, helping people fix up their houses or entertaining the baby hyenas when their mothers have other things to do. They also leave gifts to Ruggie when he comes back, between little dolls they made, bracelets they thought he’d like, charms, or pretty rocks and leaves. He keeps all of the gifts, no matter how small.

-His mom (bc the poor woman deserves a spot)(Poor meaning unfortunate)(The more i think abt it, both. It means both. Bad time?): I think she looked a lot like him, but with brighter blue eyes than his. She was definitely a prankster at heart, leaving clever traps behind for any poor soul to get stuck in. She was a very hardworker much like her son, taking on any task she could find to help out her mother. I think she’d try to leave as much behind for Ruggie as she could, which would include little notes and scribbles about how she was feeling throughout her pregnancy and how excited she was for him. Ruggie also kept all of those safe and sound, in a small box he keeps in the corner of his room.

Jack:

-Grandma & Grandpa Howl: A very loving couple, who always make time out of their schedule for their grandchildren, whether it be for school events, emergencies, or if any one of them want to come by and talk. They met when Grandpa Howl got lost and wandered by Grandma Howl’s family’s cabin (which happens to be the one they, and the rest of the family, still live in to this day) and he spent the night. I think they fell in love at first sight :’)

-Mama Howl: A very soft and loving beastwoman who is willing to sacrifice anything for her children. She is often strict, and sometimes a chatterbox, but she always reminds her children to stay safe and that she loves them. She always pats their head or cheek when she walks by, even if she has to reach a little to plant a kiss on Jack’s forehead. I think her hair would be a little darker grey, and she’d definitely be a little more muscular and taller, reaching six ft one when standing straight up. She’d have the same yellow eyes as Jack, and her hair would be cropped shorter due to her still moving around a lot.

-Papa Howl: Very similar to Jack personality and appearance wise. He stands an inch or two shorter than Jack, but is still very muscular due to working around the house and in the woods (chopping wood for the campfire, dragging around tools, carrying three wolf pups at a time in his younger days (only one now wants to be carried, which hurts the poor man’s heart a bit)

-Baby brother Howl: Huffy and a little moody, but a hard worker even if he complains while doing it most of the time. That’s often with his parents, but when he does something with Jack he doesn’t complain a bit. He’s very attached to his older brother, looking up to him for his strength and strong morals. He often compares him to superheroes and star athletes in his mind, but sometimes it slips out, resulting in one very embarrassed wolf boy and another very flattered wolf boy, ignore their wagging tails, it means nothing. I think he stands pretty tall for a preteen, around 5’7-5’8 and growing taller by the day. Same hair and eye color as Jack. Acts like he doesn’t like to play games with his younger sister but will never turn down a game of tag.

-Baby sister Howl: An absolute sweetheart. She just wants the best for her family and will do whatever she can to make what they want happen. Jack is hungry? Good thing she made her special dessert (it’s a poptart with whipped cream messily piled on top with sprinkles and literal sugar cubed wedged in it, but don’t tell her you don’t like it, please she’d actually bawl). Her other older brother is tired? She can get him extra blankets! Mama needs help cleaning? She can mop (she really just throws water on the floor and praises herself for a job well done). Papa need to cut wood? She can- no, she can’t. Please don’t give her an axe. She’ll cheer him from the sidelines with a song she made up just for him instead! She has their mother’s grey hair and father’s dark brown eyes, and loves to do her hair like the princesses she sees on Tv! (Yes, Jack will wear a too-small dress and Tiara if his sister wants to play princess. No, he will not let anyone take pictures.)

Octavinelle:

-Mama Leech: At first glance, a very kind woman with soft eyes. Willing to open her arms to anyone who might need help. Then, a terrifying grin similar to Floyd’s as that poor unfortunate soul realizes the trap they’d been thrown in. She’s very kind and patient towards both her boys and husband, as well as their friends (even of she is on guard near their friends, throwing a few hollow threats to see if it’d scare them away)(She doesn’t like to share her babies). She dotes on the tweels as much as possible, indulging im whatever curiosity they may have. Floyd wants to know what going through riptide is like? They leave tomorrow to find one. Jade wants to know more about life on land? She’ll find as many books as possible and ask (threaten) people for their land belongings. She knows when too far is too far though, and is very skilled at reeling the boys back in if they get to that point. Will always call them her little guppies, no matter how big they get. I think she’d have a teal bob on top, with the underside of her hair being black (which makes her hair look color changing when she swims). Im her human form shes only a few inches shorter than her boys, ranging around the same as Jack’s mother.

-Papa Leech: The definition of old Hollywood New York mob boss. Strict and blunt about his interests and problems, and not afraid to cause any problems if provoked. When the tweels were younger and they’d wrestle and bite at him, he’d throw them off him easily, telling them they need to work to beat him, even if he was impressed by their teamwork at first. Will die to protect his family, and was likely put in that position many times in the past due to his uh… business. He values his wife and children more than anything, and has done everything in his power in the past to protect them from harm. When they went to NRC at first, he felt defeated and almost wanted to beg them to stay safe with him (not that his pride would allow it).(Both the tweels can see through his facade easily)

Azul:

-Grandma ‘grotto: A very stern and prim octomermaid. What she says goes in the Ashengrotto house, and she often catches herself making unnecessary comments. She does apologize. Also a very loving grandmother towards Azul, often babying him whenever possible (doing the classic “you’re not eating enough here take some more” grandma move)(She will smooch his face whenever possible when there are no business clients nearby). Tries to boost his confidence since she knew about what was happening to him (Chances are she went through the same thing- being an octomer as well) and dod her best to protect him and make him happy. She taught him how to write with his tentacles and encouraged him to do his best in everything he does.

-Mama ‘grotto: Another businesslady in the front absolute softie in the back situation. Adores her son and is incredibly proud of how far he’s come.I think she looks identical to Azul, but more heavyset and, of course, female. She coddled Azul as much as possible, which worked out well with baby Azul’s clingy nature. She had no shame in walking around with the little guy stuck to her (unless he smacked a tentacle to her face when she was working on her restaurant), and made sure everyone knew what a good boy he was. She would show pictures to everyone (similar to Ruggie’s grandma), but respects his wishes in wanting to hide pictures of his past. She still shows anyone who asks pictures of him at NRC (compliments to the twins, who send her updates when her son is busy), and will tell everyone how smart he is and how much he’s grown.

-Step-Papa grotto: A very professional man in every aspect of his life, which stretches to his relationship with his stepson. When he learns about the contracts and Azuls UM, he’s over the moon with how happy he is. He swam around with a little more pep than usual, flicking his tail and flaring out his fins the more and more Azul told him. He helps him reword and format his contracts to his advantage, and is always willing to talk with him about Mostro Lounge or (on rare occasion) some memories before Step papa Ashengrotto met Mama Ashengrotto (which always make him happy that Azul trusts him enough). I think he’d be a pretty generic looking Mer, with an average looking tail and such

All of them are pretty protective in their own rights, I feel? The difference would be how they deal with the thing or person making you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

I feel like Iwa would have no qualms being a sort of shield between you and that problem. If someone’s bothering you, he would step in between u and the person/people and bring you away from them AFTER (respectfully) glaring at them and telling them they’re making things uncomfortable for everyone. He’s quite observant too, having dealt with Oikawa’s personality and habits for a lot of his life, so he would be able to tell when you need his protection and when you can handle yourself. Tbh even when you can handle yourself, he’ll already be inching towards you, wanting to be by your side just in case it turns ugly. And if it ever turns ugly (which is fucked up because why tf would anyone wanna fight Iwa when he’s packing all those muscles??), ya know he won’t be fucking around. Bo would probably get angry (whether in a cute pouty way or in an intense anger would depend on the situation), unintentionally call them out (which would be hella embarrassing for the other person bc god they made BOKUTO angry??), and then he would just start trying to make sure you’re okay. He’d start being really touchy like cupping your face, hugging you from all angles, & etc. He’ll bring you home asap if the situation calls for it or if you ask him to or if the person isn’t gone from the space, but would probably stay if you tell him it’s alright and you’re okay now.

I think the both of them are protective in their own rights, but something about Iwa being really perceptive and having that strength and reliability to his personality that would probably make you feel the safest (based on yours and his traits).

I can also see him eating a lot with you on your food trips. Sure, his diet is pretty balanced, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like to eat, and especially on cheat days he’ll happily indulge in the more ‘unhealthy’ foods with you.

I also don’t think he’ll be trying to control your diet, but maybe tell you stuff like ‘eat more veges/protein/etc.’ if you don’t eat properly. He cares for you and your health is important to him too. But if your diet is pretty good and balanced as is, then he’ll be a little more relaxed knowing you’re not surviving on only junk foods and sodas lol

GREAT because I can see Iwa appreciating very much that you’d listen to him talk on about his rough day, gush the monsters he finds super fucking cool (like Godzilla), rants about Oikawa being a shit head (again), and so on.

I can see him being a great listener too, always nodding along and taking in what you ramble to him. Giving comments and insights too if he can. And if he doesn’t have the capacity or energy for that (most probably bc work was draining or he isn’t having a good day), he’d tell you straight up (if you didn’t catch the physical clues he displays). Politely and to the point, without malice.

Oikawa is teasing and playful with him, so he’s practically built to handle it like a pro since childhoodKSKSKSK

But he won’t resort to violence with you ofc, just with Oikawa <3 depending on the nature of your teasing, he’d either roll his eyes and maybe bump your shoulder lightly (or some other light form of contact), or he’ll try to tease you back. I can also see him blushing and asking you to shut it if your teasing grants that kind of reaction if yk what I meanKSKSKS

The night owl bit, he understands, but would tell you sometimes to not mess up your schedule and to sleep earlier if you can because that’s just how he shows that he cares. If you point out that he sounds like a nagging mom, he’d pop a vein and tackle you (softly) and drag you to bed and be a little kid about it like ‘HA what can u do now that u can’t escape my arms?? Who’s a nagging mom now??’. Y’all would 100% end up in giggles UWUWUWUWUWU

I can see Atsumu & Bo loving and basking in the PDA more than Iwa, because that shit makes him flustered so hard and he has to take a while to get used to having someone show him such bold displays of love. But I feel like Iwa would really grow to like it tho uwu

All 3 of them are kind of stubborn in their own way? If y’all disagree on something, I can see Bo & Iwa coming to a compromise with you easier than Atsumu.

Iwa would make you a cup of coffee just the way you like it every day when you wake up because it’s his actions with the littlest things that show you the loudest how much he loves you. He’s also great with holding you back on your more dangerous and rash and potentially harmful impulses, like the reliable figure that gives you good reasons and talks you out of reeeeaaally bad decisions, but he’s also a whole Gemini so he’ll indulge in your impulses with you more often than you think heh heh

That’s a great trait for all of the boys tbh, because all 3 of them needs someone like that due to their personalities.

Atsumu would understand that you’re not playing mind games and he wouldn’t then try to play it back or burst into flames. Bo would be thankful because he can just take your words as is. And that’s the same for Iwa too. While he’s observant and can probably read between the lines no problem, straight forwardness just makes things easier for him because he’s pretty straight forward too. And I feel that if he can count on you for that, then he’ll be probably allow himself to rely on you more.

If you praise them, they’ll know you mean it too and they’ll be real happy about it uwu

I'm empathetic + love comforting others!

Another great attribute for all 3 of them. Bo & Atsumu melts in a more obvious way (and in the moment) when you comfort them and when you empathize with them, but Iwa? It’s in the way he squeezes your hand right after, the look in his eyes are soft and so is his grateful smile. It’s in the way he hugs you later in bed, curving into you like a cat, arms secure around you, and he whispers a very tender ‘thank you’. It’s in the way he kisses you good morning the day after, hand on your cheek as if he’s holding the world in it, and he feels like he is. I’d say it’s more quiet with Iwa’s display of gratitude, but it’s just as loud as the other two, there’s no doubt about that.

Your outgoing and naturally flirty self would probably capture all 3 of their hearts, with Iwa putting up a little more fight than the rest (he doesn’t take it as him being special, but falls for your sweet words regardless bc he likes u so much).

Bo & Atsumu would satisfy your love language more, both looking like they’re very comfortable in showing you they love you in that way. Iwa might be a more muted than the 2, but if y’all are dating, he’d always have a hand on you somehow. Whether its holding your hand, a hand on your back, on your cheek, & etc. Like he just finds a way to always have contact with you, especially when he finds out your love language if physical touch. He’ll put in the effort, that’s for sure.

Atsumu might not do as well with your emotional trait? He doesn’t mince his words, and even if he tries to be softer with you, it’s not 100% that he’ll change that part of himself. He’ll try to comfort you, apologize and sooth your wounds if he hurts you bad, but it’s how he is with his words – blunt and (mainly) unfiltered. Iwa isn’t blunt, I’d say? He knows what to say and when to say it and how to say it, and he’s also caring, so I feel like he’d do very well with this trait of yours.

Being energetic meshes pretty well with Bo bc he’s pretty energetic himself. Iwa himself has a lot of energy, so he would most definitely keep up with your energy no problem.

Every other trait I can see doing well with Iwa. He’d admire it, and some would even push him further too by feeding off your traits too.

ASOUE AU? ASOUE AU. Pt 1 (Characters)

Okay so I just posted a little doodle I did for an A Series of Unfortunate Events AU that I had been thinking about ever since I realized that Esmé was obviously Magica's VA (which was 3 days ago so oop). I don't have all the characters figured out right now (mostly bc quite frankly there aren't really enough adults that act so... neglectful towards the kids in ducktales). I'll list the ones I am pretty concrete on VS the ones I'm unsure or ones that I "reimagined" due to not everyone fitting perfectly in this world.

Characters that are Definite:

Glomgold as Count Olaf: Think about it, horrible actor/cosplayer (yes thats what he is). Both obsessed about riches, revenge and are generally incompetent. Really, Olaf is much more wicked in the ASOUE series imo (bc even tho Glomgold wants to kill Scrooge and steal his money. This anger only extends his wards if he wishes to use them against Scrooge and is less keen on the murdering of kids. Notice I said LESS). Not 100% if I want him to be as...well explicit as Olaf can be at times. Especially his characterization in the Bad Beginning if you know what I mean (pst it's child marriage)

Magicia DeSpell as Esmé Squalor: Like I said, this is a no brainer. She has the stage performance of Magicia with a bit of Mark Beaks Mom (forget her name) mixed in. Probably would downplay her love for fashion and replace it with an obsession with the occult. I would also not have her be obsessed with Glomgold, its more in character for Glomgold to be obsessed with her anyhow. It is also possible bc I tend to believe she is a more compelling villian in canon that she might take the place of Glomgold on the Island in "The End". But I also plan for Scrooges Number One Dime to replace the Sugar bowl so, maybe not.

Doofus Drake as Calmanita Splats: Duh, spoiled brat who is very creepy and probably has parents that want them dead? Instead of wanting to sing all the time he mainly wants to wreak things/people. He still definitely dresses up tho into a hodgepodge of things. It always changes and Glomgold is always annoyed by this but he likes him more than Magicia. She definitely wants him dead just like Olaf in the series (she really hates kids).

Duckworth as Larry your waiter: Yeah not much competition for this role. It was either him or Launchpad. Duckworth is too perfect for this role and he honestly will play a better spy than canon Larry. If I ever write it out a lot of the "fight scenes" and anime-esque "explaining how I fooled you" dialogue will definitely be reworked but still present. I will however not keep out the main theme of neglect or ignorance with the adults, they will still fail in that regard as always but will just not literally stand there and tell Olaf "We finally caught you, now let me explain why we are so smart oh no you set something on fire again". I mean...maybe for a Mr. Poe but not the VFD. Or...SHUSH I should say but more on that later (or in another post who knows?)

Scrooge McDuck as Lemony Snicket (sorta): Okay so OBVIOUSLY we can't have our "Lemony" have the hots for the McDuck siblings mom (yes another thing I must explain oh boy). Scrooge will still be gilted in love by, of course Goldie though I am still not 100% if she should play part of the the role of Kit Snicket (again NOT related to Scrooge) or should she be someone else entirely. Scrooge is basically the reason everything is happening in this AU just like the canon Lemony but writes sad letters to Donald and Della as well as Goldie. As you might of well guessed, Scrooge's Fortune is also the riches the McDuck's have.

Fethry Duck as Dr. Monty: Of course a snake lover will become a marine lover in this AU! Also of COURSE Mitzy will play the roles of the incredibly deadly viper AND the great unknown! Fethry and Dr. Monty not being mentioned by their family but also too enthralled with their studies to care all that much (but seriously thats fucked up ducktales). Totally made for this role. As far as setting goes this will be where the siblings will be underwater first but since the series already has plently of aquatic locals I will probably swap out the Lake Lacamose story with Peru or the Galapagos. Speaking of...

Ms. Quackfaster as Aunt Josephine: For narrative purposes it would make sense that Ms. Quackfaster would lose her edge as a brave and bold woman. For what exact reason I am still trying to figure out. Not sure if I still want to keep the "Ike" storyline, maybe she just got really spooked by FOWL. Maybe some creature from the Galapagos ate her leg or something.

Ma Beagle as Dr. Orwell: This particular role was sort of hard for me to cast due to the fact that Dr. Orwell is older and romantically involved with Olaf (at least its sorta there). I really didn't want to give this role to Owlson bc other than she isn't a bad person, she is also way too young. Ma Beagle already has a similar motivation im canon to want to reclaim Duckburg as Beagleburg so the Terrible Mills plot to frame the B for causing a fire in order to have control over the mill is very in line with Ma. I originally wanted the Beagle Boys be working in the Mill but since I am changing the setting to Egypt, I decided to use the people stuck in the pyrimid (idk what they are actually called) and will either use Amulet, Launchpad or Dijin as Cookie

Characters that are Mixed with others:

Huey Duck as the Narrative Role of Violet B.: I mostly imagined(?) the kid characters in a approximation of set characters from the books/series. For this reason, Huey plays the ROLE of Violet Baudelaire so that he can take the "inventor" occupation. I went back and forth on finding who would have Violet's quirk of using an object to help her think. My mind originally went to Webby since she has a bow and I wanted Huey's obsession with the Incomplete History of Secret Organizations to take the place of his JWG. However I reworked it so that Huey's JWG would act as Violet's ribbon with him having to flip through his beat up (and slightly burnt) journal to find a quick solution or just to calm his nerves. Something that applies to all the triplets and twins is that their last names are changed to "McDuck" mostly bc it sounds better that they are later called the "McDuck Murders" instead of the "Duck Murders" as well as Scrooges edited role in the kids lives. He has a mix of Klaus' social awkwardness and habit of talking at length about his special interests to whoever will listen. Huey is also the one who gets hypnotized in the Miserable Mill ep.

Louie Duck as the Narrative Role of Sunny B.: Pretty sure I swapped Louie and Webby for this role in my first post but whatever. I wanted to confusingly change Klaus' role into a "Charmer" or "smooth talker" (obviously still a work in progress) since I felt that Huey in DuckTales canon was always well researched as well a good mechanic and having two characters who pretty much fit the same role was... redundant. I also wanted to really make Webby's Sunny much more inline with her notorious/abnormal fighting abilities. However, I realized that instead of changing Klaus' role I should just change Sunny's characterization since I would have to rework it anyways since she was a baby. I also got the idea from recently rewatching the series and saw Sunny basically trick her way out of being trapped with the Hook handed man (i.e. Fernald). I will instead make Louie's role as what he functionally is in DuckTales (the guy who can talk his way out of anything). He would probably also say his occupation is "Defense Attorney" or something along those lines. He is also the one who gets captured the most but not by much. However while he still has Sunny's sarcasm, he also has Klaus' inherit skeptism and distrust of adults.

Webby Vanderquack as the Narrative Role of Klaus B.: Like I said in Louie's segment, Webby is changed to Klaus or more accurately the "Researcher" of the group. She is often the one who stays up late, researching ways to get out of Glomgold's schemes. Unlike Klaus though, she has more of the optimism of Violet but might not put as much belief into all authority as Huey might. She still has role models that she looks up to but isn't against bending the rules. She also unfortunately takes Violet's role of becoming "Olaf's bride" in the Bad Beginning. In the story she has always lived with the McDucks but didn't take their name and still had Mrs. B (until she was around 10, she was 12ish when the fire happened). However, she is still in the McDuck Will and therefore Glomgold hatches a plan to use her to get the fortune. She also tricks him by signing her name "Vanderduck" or "McDuck" instead of Vanderquack to make the marriage null in void. She is also a mix of Sunny since she is generally the most physically capable out of the children.

Dewey Duck as the Narrative Role as Quigley Quagmire: Okay honestly after a rewatch, I don't exactly know what makes Duncan and Quigley that different from each other. I'm pretty sure Duncan is the Klaus of his siblings but whatever. Dewey mostly just 1/2 of the reveal that two people survived the fire during the Carnival segment (which is changed to an underground wrestling theme for reasons to be explained). I am fairly certain that during the last part of the Village of Fowl Devotees I want Dewey be the one left behind with Webby and Lena that way we can have more time spent with him and Weblena/ Magicia v Lena drama. Dewey's occupation would be "Comedian/Host/Actor" . He also is the one the adults ignore during the first half and will be the subject of Triplet/only child jokes that the Quagmires face.

Gosalyn Mallard as the Narrative Role of Duncan Quagmire: Okay so like, no she isn't related or adopted by the Quagmires

Lena Saberwing as the Narrative Role of Isadora Quagmire: c'mon both these kids like poetry. Literally I can think of no other DuckTales kid that likes that (other than Webby but that was more of her liking Lena's stuff). She will still have her background as Magica's niece and might take some of the role of Fernald where he gets redeemed by betraying Olaf/saving Sunny. I am unsure by what extent though as she isn't going to be a henchperson of Glomgold or Magica. It might be that she is uses morally questionable ways to get what she wants/needs. Maybe she is "good" but has to commit a terrible act similar to how the Baudelaires have to burn down the carnival.

Characters that I am uncertain about or straight up don't have someone in that role:

Violet Saberwing as the Narrative Role of Fiona Widdershins: Like Fiona, Violet was also originally distrusted by a part of the cast (in this AU, it probably be Webby and/or Louie as Huey catches feelings lol). She is also obsessed with the occult not fungus and has to save probably Louie from losing his soul or something (wip). Violet more than any of the main cast of kids will probably act more like her canon self since she is naturally straight forward and booksmart. She probably gets forced to stay with Glomgold until her and Lena can escape again. Also since I didn't want it to be another underwater local and wanted it to relate to DuckTales17 a bit more closely I thought it be better if they were in the sky. Maybe Violet got the Sun chaser or maybe even the Spear of Selene. Maybe instead of going to look for their dads (since they are dead oof) they come back at The End to tell the McDuck Siblings et all that they might of found something...or someone important.

Boyd as the Narrative Role of Friday: This is definitely more of a stretch as really he is only Friday because in role only because I want him at the Island at The End so that he can save the siblings from whatever organic incident happens since he is still an android. I previously thought he could also fit the role of Fernald since he could go through a redemption arc easier due to him sorta going through one in the show. Its not out of the realm of possibility that Glomgold could have reprogrammed him to obey him (he might still do something similar I haven't figured it out 100%).

Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera as the narrative role of Hector: He probably won't faint as much as Hector but he will have to be pushed by the kids to be confident in himself during the Vile Village (which will probably change to a Capital city since I plan to rework FOWL into this). Maybe its similar to a military academy which makes having a set of rules make sense. Its also possible that Fenton escapes with some of the kids in the Sunchaser by the end of this.

Steelbeak as the Narrative Role of Fernald Widdershins: I mainly chose him because Steelbeak and Hookhanded man both most clearly are shown to be sympathic antagonists. They are still functionally villians, much more so than any of the children like Boyd or Lena who, yeah, have done bad things but in one case wasn't given the freewill to decide for himself or was but when she decided to stand up for herself she was literally tortured and had her freedom taken away (more so than in the beginning since. Steelbeak would, like Fernald, be making a choice as an adult man to be apart of a mad man's troop and was harden enough to commit murder if it meant he could impress his boss. But because he is not related to (by blood or otherwise) any protagonist I struggle to know where to put him. I might still have him defect during the end of what would have been the Grim Grotto ep and comes back with the Saberwings at The End. Maybe he brings Gosalyn back after finding her at some point, maybe he dies somewhere towards The End. Not sure.

Gladstone/Ghost of Christmas Past/News Reporter Lady as the Narrative Role of Mr. Poe/Mr. Poes Wife: wow this one is really confusing. My reasoning behind these picks is because The News lady would be a great pick for Mr. Poe's wife or at least a substitute as she has similar motivations in DT17. The biggest set back for her tho is that she has no reason to be on the Baudelaire case (or McDuck case anyways). Ghost of Christmas past is a bit of a stretch since why the fuck would he be in charge of making sure the kids had guardians? I mainly want him just bc of his motivation (or lack thereof) to do his job and being incompetent at it. Gladstone while making some sense that he also would be uncaring about where the kids go is also a stretch given he is a relative and he while he might not care 100% about their whereabouts he wouldn't lose them like Mr. Poe would simply bc he is so damn Lucky. Its possible to work that against him, maybe in a scenerios like where he drops off the kids but gets whisked away because some rando gifts him a boat. Still unsure.

Mrs. Beakley as either the Narrative Role of Jaclyn S (Mr. Poes Secretary/VFD spy)., Olivia C. (Librarian): I want Mrs. B to have a role which fits her being experienced and competent but also met a tragic demise. I might mix the experience of JS with the fate of OC. Poor Webby.

Justice Strauss as ???: I'll be honest, I am stumped with this one. This is a very important role to fill and I can't quite find an adult character that fits the bill of Justice Strauss. Mrs. B is too smart, Launchpad studying law while ridiculous, is something inline with the show but he doesn't have a DT17 motivation similar enough to Strauss where he's desires can be exploited nor has he really want kids in the same sense as Strauss. Drake Mallard is close since he is an actor but having him work with law is a bit of a stretch, I also think that making him somewhat bumbling is an insult to his character but Strauss is tragic since she WANTS to very much be the Baudelaires guardian but fails so much. Maybe in a safer world she could have been, maybe if they were luckier. She loves them so much, but they run away where she can't find them to at least try to be there for them and is left heart broken by the end. Whoever becomes JS is in for a world of hurt and I'm sorry. Goofy could also be a replacement, maybe Max died for more angst 😬.

Goldie or Daisy as the narrative role of Kit Snicket: This kinda gets really fanfic-y as neither of these characters really fit nicely into this role. Goldie definitely has the skill of Kit and her disregard for the rules but the pregnancy thing is... something. Not entirely sure if I actually want her to be pregnant but I also want a Beatrice II type character (of course she would be named Della II) but again very fanfic-y. Daisy I am more comfortable being the one who gets pregnant, she might take Olivias role as the new VFD recruit instead of Kits more seasoned one. All I know is that if either or both outcomes exist they will die also a Dewey Deanumont(?) Character wouldn't be the father it would of course be Donald or Scrooge depending who gets pregnant.

Jacques Snicket as ???: Another mystery for me. Functionally? Maybe Manny could play this role or even Launchpad (he really is just my go to for any character idk about huh?) Whoever it is will die but wont have a romance with the Olivia character(s). Maybe its Goofy lmao.

Recording 4: “I remember the day I arrived on Promethea. Those buildings looked so majestic! I was so busy sky-gazing that a thief stole the pants right off my keister! Promethea’s no Pandora, but a city is still plenty dangerous! I knew this was the sorta place I would either find my destiny or die in a gutter! And thanks to my partner slash nemesis, Azlan DeVega, Promethea was almost both!”

Recording 5: “I thought a city like Promethea would be crammed full of opportunity. But, actually, it was a tinderbox of violence and greed. Corporations were pulling out, calling the joint a dead end. People were starving! Eating stone soup and boiled rats to get by. But, somehow, I survived. It was a real wrong place at the right time type of situation. You know, sometimes the trick to being successful is just staying in the game longer than the other guy.”

Recording 3: “Azlan DeVega: my partner slash nemesis. He talked a big game, but there was a reason why he was down on his luck. He was lazy! But I was hungry to prove myself. Then, one time, we were wandering through the Quazmarian Quarry and I fell through some brittle rock! Azlan calls down: “Nice knowing ya, Deleon!”, grabs my stuff, and splits! Well, I had to find another way up. And, bam! That’s when I found the Vault! I guess the moral is: sometimes you gotta fall before you make it big.”

Recording 1: “I saw the key just sitting there in front of the Vault. Good thing I didn’t open it! I gave the Vault Key to Atlas, got a butt-load of cash and the rest is history! Anyway, as soon as I made my money, who shows up at my door but Azlan DeVega? Sayin’ that I owe him half of the cut! Baloney! I was on my own, and after that, whenever someone wanted to find Eridian ruins, they called me! Typhon Deleon! The first Vault Hunter!”

Recording 2: “So I found that Vault! Atlas was lagging behind those other guys! They almost got wiped out during the corporate wars and were looking to rise from the ashes, like the, uh, what’s it called? The fire bird. Anyway, the Atlas CEO was getting desperate just throwing explorer(s?) at ruins. Now, I never thought growing up on Pandora would do me a lick of good, but I spent my childhood hunting Eridian ruins and that gave me the edge! How about that; Pandora is good for something!”

(I got REALLY distracted while writing this and started analyzing all the Sanctuary 3 footage we got lmao so expect a post on that soon)

So to start, I find it really interesting that Promethea already had a city on it before Typhon arrived. I had assumed the city popped up because Atlas got rich from the discovery of Eridian ruins on Promethea, but that doesn’t seem to be the case! It looks as though a bunch of different corporations all had their hands in the city, but pulled out once the going got tough.

Wild.

Ah, Azlan DeVega. 

Azlan apparently means “Lion” and DeVega means “of Meadow”. This is kinda important for 2 reasons.

1. A very important lion in greek mythology is the Nemean lion, which had golden fur that was impervious to physical attacks and was the child of Typhon. 

2. “of Meadow” didn’t really turn up anything of note within Greek Mythology directly, however! it did return the Epimelides, goddesses of meadows, which translates to “Protector of Sheep”. Sheep and Lions in general are usually associated with Peace, which I thought was a pretty neat connection. I wonder if Typhon is lying... 

3. There’s also this neat bit of mythology here: “When a lion attacked her father's sheep, Cyrene wrestled with the lion” and “when Eurypylus was still ruling Libya, a monstrous lion was created, which was a great terror to the citizens. So Apollo sent Cyrene to kill the beast. After she succeeded, she was made the ruler of the city Cyrene”. I don’t know if this has anything to do with this story tbh but Cyrene is suspiciously similar to Tyreen lmao. Her name even means “Sovereign Queen”... Supreme queen... god queen...... I wouldn’t be shocked if Tyreen goes after Azlan DeVega and/or his descendants

So we’re 100% definitely visiting Quzmarian Quarry, right? This is somewhere on Promethea, so we’ve got a few options. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where the abandoned research base is. 

I say that mostly because it looks as though there’s a door in the floor here. It’d make sense if Typhon fell somewhere and found the Vault there, that Atlas would rush on top of that and ensure nobody else was getting in.

Also, this confuses me, because in TFTBL, its mentioned that Gortys was “Atlas’s last ditch effort at opening a Vault”, but they had the opportunity here! What gives?! I imagine there was resistance, but it sounds like Typhon escaped with the Vault Key just fine, which is weird to me. I suppose if we’re considering opening the Vault being the be-all end-all then Atlas had opened a Vault on Pandora, too. It’s just that they never killed the Destroyer... since, well, y’all know what happened to Steele. And if we’re not considering the Destroyer’s Vault to be a tally in favor of Atlas, then perhaps something attacked those who 'opened’ the Vault and they could never actually access the things inside. It’s likely then, that their technological advances were due to basic Eridian treasure troves, like the one in Captain Scarelett’s DLC (y’know, just, without the Leviathan). 

Furthermore, we can be certain there are at maximum 3 Vault Keys at play in BL3, and minimum there’s only 1.

Personally, I was of the theory that the Vault Key we see in the HBC is the same Vault Key from Sanctuary. It’s literally described as a map of Vaults on other worlds, which is what Lilith discovers at the end of BL2 and obviously something happened to Sanctuary before the events of BL3. Of course, its possible this is also the Vault Key used to open the Vault on Promethea, which could mean there’s only one Vault Key (weird considering it takes 200 years to naturally charge, but considering there are Sirens about that can charge the Vault Key forcibly using Eridium, not too weird. Let’s not think about the fact that Eridium only started appearing after the opening of the first Vault for now cuz im super tired lol)

“Sometimes you gotta fall before you make it big”. 

100% this is foreshadowing for the game’s story somehow and you can’t convince me otherwise.

I find it kinda interesting that Tannis never mentions Typhon in BL1 in any of her ECHO logs detailing her time spend on Pandora trying to find ‘evidence of alien life’, however if this is due to DAHL not wanting to use an Atlas schmuck’s info or because the writers created his character for BL3, I’m not certain. Let’s pretend it’s the first one and move on because it really bugs me that Tannis is forced to look for evidence of alien activity on Pandora when apparently Typhon grew up there and “spent [his] childhood hunting Eridian ruins”. 

A reference to the “fire bird”. I know, I know, its a reference to a phoenix, but honestly? how fuckin’ cool would it be if this was actually a reference to the ‘Firehawk’? the mass murdering bounty hunter like the Lilith Firehawk? like if the Firehawk was actually a mythological thing in the borderlands universe. I mean, there’s a pistol called Firehawk in BL1 (y’know, before Lilith starts her cult), so I wouldn’t put it past them to pull that shit. It would kinda make sense for the bandits (who are usually DAHL workers in the first place) to start worshiping the Firehawk as a god if there was a precedent for it already. Even better if it was a dude god, which, outside of Jack not knowing Lilith was alive, could explain her usage of the voice changer.

As for my shitpost? Because you all knew it was coming....

Typhon is basically known as the father of all monsters lmao and he worked with Atlas and baby you KNOW im in love with the Atlas and the Calypsos theory. maybe perhapeth they used Typhon’s dna or his cryo-frozen body to create the twins and thats why they believe the vaults are their birthright, hmmmm?

but hey maybe that’s just because he helped lead to the opening of the first Vault which, y’know, lead to the opening of all the other Vaults. all of which house Vault Monsters

You were fixated on the brightly lit Christmas tree that was settled in the corner of the living room, rearranging a few of the ornaments that looked out of place and smiling to yourself at the ones you hadn’t discovered when you helped decorate the tree earlier this week. The Holland residence was quiet this weekend, due to Nikki and Dom visiting family friends and Sam being busy helping Tom move into his new place before the rush of the holidays kicked in. As a result, Harry had the entire place to himself, which meant that you got to play house with him for the next three days.

In the reflection of one of the golden ornamental balls, you watched as an extremely warped version of your boyfriend slowly made his way over to you. You felt Harry’s arms slide around your waist, pulling you close against his body as he left a trail of light kisses along your skin before nuzzling his face deep into the crook of your neck. Your hands automatically landed on his arms, relaxing into his hold.

Harry was hands down the clingiest person you knew, but you never once complained about it. He made you feel safe and loved, which had been his only intention since the start of your relationship.

“So...” he trailed off, the feeling of his breath against your skin sent a shiver down your spine, but you recognized the tone of his voice almost instantly. It was his ‘I have an idea’ voice. You wanted so badly to turn around in his arms and shut him up with a kiss before he could continue on, because if you were being honest, his ideas frightened you. They often ended horribly, thanks to the adventurous side of him but you went along anyway because you loved him.

You weren’t the type of person to wake up at the crack of dawn only to decide to go on a three-hour hike. Harry, on the other hand, definitely was. You were polar opposites when it came to your ideas of fun but you both knew how to compromise to make the other happy.

“Oh no,” you muttered, resisting the urge to stop him in his tracks. The two of you had spent the last three and a half hours curled up on the couch binge watching one of your favorite shows on Netflix, which yes, was your idea of fun. Every time you glanced over at Harry, his eyes managed to be everywhere except the television screen, even though he claimed to be watching whenever you questioned him about it. In your personal opinion, he seemed to be much more interested in twirling locks of your hair around his finger, or tracing various patterns on your hip. Sitting still for a long period time was just something Harry didn’t know how to do, so you were willing to go along with whatever plan he had in mind to make him happy.

“Hear me out,” he maneuvered your body with ease so you were facing him instead. Although you were enjoying the decorations the Hollands used this time of year, your face lit up brighter than the tree itself when you met Harry’s warm gaze. “Winter photoshoot.”

“Hell no.” You were quick to decline and you intended on stepping out of grasp and away from the front door, but his arms were locked tightly around your waist and you both knew you weren’t strong enough to do anything about it. A look of defeat was plastered all over your face while he was trying his best to not let a victory smile show through his smirk, “Harry it is beyond freezing outside and I look awful right now. I don’t want you to take any photos of me.”

“You look beautiful,” his words sounded genuine but that didn’t stop the involuntary eye roll.

“You’re my boyfriend. You have to say that.”

“I don’t have to,” he corrected you, “Sometimes you look like a homeless meth addict and I always tell you when your hair looks greasy. Speaking of which…” He twirled a strand of hair around his finger before a grin broke out across his lips. You managed to glare at him for maybe three seconds before his fingers attacked your sides in an attempt to make you laugh which undoubtedly worked, like usual.

“Harry,” you whined, dragging out the last vowel in his name until his motions came to a halt. “I don’t want to go outside.”

Your boyfriend thought for a moment and from where you were standing you could practically see the gears turning in his head until his face perked up when he got another idea, “What if we brought Tessa along?”

Tessa, who was laying on the couch with her head resting between her front legs, sat up when she heard her name being called. You both turned to look at her, tail already wagging at just the slightest bit of attention. She was your one weak spot because there was no way you could ever say no to her.

“I need a picture of my two girls. I don’t have one yet.” he added persuasively.

A loud sigh escaped you and you looked back at Harry, “Fine.”

His grin spread from ear to ear and he let go of you so the two of you could put your winter coats on. Harry was quick to grab his camera from his bedroom as you zipped your jacket and grabbed Tessa’s leash from where it was hung on the hook beside the front door. Tessa leaped from the couch and over to you, all too eager to go outside whereas you were dreading facing the harsh weather. You heard Harry’s footsteps trudge down the hallway at the same second you clicked the leash onto her collar. When you looked back, Harry had the camera up to his face, already taking photos.

The moment you opened the door, Tessa dragged you outside and you clenched onto the leash to try to gain your control back. But she was strong and tired of being cooped up inside the house, like her owner, she wanted to explore. So instead of you walking her, she was the one doing the leading as you made your way down the snow covered sidewalk.

Harry was no help during this. Even when you glanced at him with a pleading look, he only took more pictures. You saw the shutter click rapidly as he did his best to achieve the perfect candid shot of you because those were always his favorite.

“Harry you need to help me, I’m literally being dragged.” You begged, as you and Tessa hit a patch of ice. She was fine and continued to walk because there was enough friction on the bottom of her paws for her to be okay, but your lace up runners proved to be completely useless in this weather as your feet slid out from underneath you. You landed butt first on the ground as the leash slipped from your grasp.

Tessa must have noticed the lack of restraint because she turned back to see what happened. She scampered over to you and shoved her snout in your face, attacking you with slobbery kisses. At the same time, you were trying to stand back up as fast as possible because the more you sat on the patch of ice the colder your entire body got.

Again, Harry’s main priority was capturing the moment rather than helping you up. That is, until you shot him a threatening look and in a fraction of a second he let the camera hang from the strap around his neck and rushed over to assist you in standing up. He wiped the excess snow off your legs, his hands working their way up until he reached your ass, sending a smirk in your direction while the glare remained permanent on your lips. Harry reached down to pick up the forgotten leash but instead of handing it to you he wrapped it around his wrist and you both continued walking.

Tessa’s movements were unpredictable. Sometimes she would stop to smell the base of a tree trunk, other times she would try to run after whatever she saw in her peripheral vision, but Harry had a much stronger hold on her than you did so she never got far.

“Wait, hold up.” He took hold of your arm and directed you to stand in front of an oak tree. The leaves had been stripped due to the changing of the seasons and replaced with a layer of white. He handed you Tessa’s leash, “Stay.”

“Excuse me?”

“Not you. Tessa.” He rolled his eyes as his canine companion sat down in the snow, tongue hanging from her mouth as she took in her surroundings. You squatted beside her and wrapped an arm around her back, using your other hand to scratch her side. Harry took this prime opportunity to capture more photos of his two favorite girls. For his sake, you smiled and acted as though you didn’t hate the feeling of the frosty wind nipping at your cheeks.

“Perfect, absolutely perfect.” He smiled behind the camera, but you could tell just from the tone of his voice that he was loving every second of this.

Tessa then became anxious and, like Harry, she couldn’t sit still for very long. She wrestled her way out of your hold and playfully attacked you, bombarding you with more licks on the face as you both fell into the nearby snowbank.

“Tessa! Off!” You tried your best to be stern through fits of laughter. “Tessa! Stop, get off.” She wasn’t a large dog but when she was worked up like she was right now, it was difficult to restrain her. The only people who could manage to do that were the ones who raised her but right now you were on your own. You could hear the shutter rapidly going off but you were too busy trying to stand up out of the snow for the second time today that you weren’t focused on scolding Harry.

On her own, Tessa eventually calmed down enough for you to get back on your feet. You wiped the snow off your jeans as best as you could but it had already seeped through your clothing and you knew that if this happened one more time then your legs would officially go numb.

“I want to go back,” you crossed your arms, still keeping a tight grip on the end of the leash so Tessa wouldn’t run off. “I’m cold and my pants are soaking wet and I can’t control Tessa. She’s too energetic right now.”

Slowly, Harry lowered the camera. He looked disappointed, but he nodded understandingly. This was one of his last minute idea that unfortunately didn’t work out the way he pictured in his head. He could see how enthusiastic you were about being outside and he was genuinely surprised you agreed to leaving the comfort of his house in the first place.

“Okay,” he agreed quietly and extended his arm towards you. You glanced at it momentarily before using your free hand to hold onto his. When you stepped closer to him, he took the leash from you so he could be the one walking Tessa back home. He kissed you once on the top of the head, taking note of the fact that your nose was now a completely different color than the rest of your face. Any other scenario, he would joke about you resembling a clown or rudolf, but for now he stayed silent and leaned down to press his lips against yours before you headed back to the house with Tessa leading the way.

The journey back seemed to be a lot shorter now than it was earlier, which you were thankful for. As soon as Harry unlocked the front door, he unclipped the latch from the Tessa’s collar and she was quick to find the bowl of water in the kitchen. You handed him a hanger from the front closet and once both of your jackets were stored away, he reached for your hand again, his thumb tilted your chin upwards to direct your attention to him.

“Sorry,” you told him, your breath was still cold as it hit his face. He pushed a strand of hair behind your ear and watched as the last of the snowflakes melted into your scalp. The only trace that remained of you being outside was the rosy tint to your cheeks that wouldn’t fade for at least another fifteen minutes. “It’s just really cold outside and I love Tessa, I do. But I’m tired and I didn’t want my photo taken in the first place. We can go out tomorrow, if you still want to.”

“[Y/N], it’s okay, honestly,” His hand cupped the side of your face gently, leaning his own down to meet you for a soft kiss. His lips brushed against yours as he spoke, “Go put on a movie. I’ll make us some hot chocolate.”

You nodded and made your way over to the couch. The remote you used earlier was still in the same spot you left it and you picked it up to start scanning through the list of movies on Netflix as Harry walked into the kitchen. While you were scrolling through the action movies, Tessa saw the empty spot on the couch as an invitation to jump on it.

You watched as she moved around in a circle before finding the comfiest position. She shook out her body before laying down and resting her head directly on your lap. Tessa’s big brown eyes looked up at you, silently begging to be shown some love and it was impossible to ignore a face like hers. So you put the remote down and gave her all of your attention instead of the television screen.

With yourself hunched over, you kissed the top of her head while your hands worked on scratching various parts of her fur-covered body, “Sorry I cut your walk short, love,” you muttered quietly,  “I was selfish and cold. I promise I’ll take you out tomorrow. Just you and me. Harry doesn’t even have to know.”

A sound erupted from the back of her throat and you liked to think that she understood what you were saying. As you smiled and continued to run your fingers through her fur, you heard the click of a camera shutter go off.

Both yours and Tessa’s heads snapped up to see Harry leaning against the kitchen wall with his camera held against his face.

“What was that for?”

“It was too perfect of a moment to not capture,” he told you as he joined you on the couch on the side that wasn’t occupied by Tessa. He held the screen up in front of your eyes but you had to physically take it from him in order to see what he was talking about.

You and Tessa on the couch were in focus as the Christmas Tree in the corner was blurred slightly. The window behind where you sat was open, exposing the light snowfall that was happening outdoors. It was the simplest photo he could have taken today and you definitely weren’t prepared for it, but you looked up to see the biggest smile spread out across his face and you knew that this was the exact shot that Harry was hoping for in the first place.

“I hope you don’t mind, but I’m framing this.”

“As long as you frame one for me too,” you told him with a smile that mirrored his.

And no matter how many other photo’s Harry took in his life, of you, of his family or of anyone for that matter, none of them could compare to the perfect one of you and Tessa on that cold Winter’s day.

i have some thoughts on this but im not sure WHAT so bare with me while im working it out. 

so i didn’t planned on updating any db related stuff until someone kindly reminded me about it and it plagued ME FOR DAYS AFTERWARD. but even when i have the motivation for it i was busy with an essay for my class and i had ONE SINGLE LINE THAT STARTED IT ALL. i wasn’t sure how it was going to go?? i mean i knew vaguely the direction i intended but look I NEVER IMAGINE THE (SLIGHT) CHOKING HAPPENING and it kind of rolled from there. 

first i was sitting on this line for days: “Donghae’s neck had been naked for so long that he doesn’t know if it’s can bear the weight of a collar anymore, let alone Hyukjae’s.” It’s the first line i wrote for it and actually the only line i wrote for it until today. but i had a few days to stew over the idea how im going to write a scene around that line and I ALSO HAD AN ESSAY DUE V V SOON. so somehow when i was working and pondering how im going to make this scene work with this line and WHAT IT’S SUPPOSE TO MEAN, i had this image of hyukjae’s hand on donghae’s neck while i was workig and i reaaaaaaaaaaally really want it in the scene. i just couldn’t get how that’s supposed to happen.

i sat on that image and that line for a couple of days until i managed to a couple of hrs free just before work today (on the same day my essay was due, ON THE SAME DAY I WOKE UP AT 5AM TO FINISHED IT AS;DJFA;SD). my main issue was how im going to make choking into something that isn’t 1) creepy and 2) threatening and how that ultimately relate back to the scene. i only have like a couple hours to finish this so i had to work fast but do it carefully and thoughtfully bc db deserve a lot of attention and care. 

my main concern was like how does donghae feel about collars and i was like lmao u know donghae wont like the collars and then i was like hmmm BUT DO U ACTUALLY KNOW HE DOESN’T LIKE IT and i was like oh. so here’s the thing donghae’s self esteem is tied up in his identity as a sub and he view himself as a bad sub bc he’s rebellious, headstrong, and will constantly test your patience and nobody can put up with him but those are the walls up he put up bc sometimes you build walls not to keep ppl out but to see how care enough to break it. so yea donghae is a bad sub in his eyes therefore he’s a no good person so he can’t have a collar. a collar is not a restrain is it a gift is many way and a promise in another, it’s a symbol of the strong bond between a dom and a sub. 

so donghae has a.... strong and conflicting feelings about collars bc collars give him a sense of security and belonging but bc he’s not a good sub by other definition and his own very few would dare think to collar him so he come to resent it. bc sometimes when you love something a lot but you can’t have it u come to resent it and what it means to you. collar are for good subs, donghae is not a good sub so nobody want to collar him, and if nobody want to collar him then donghae doesn’t NEED THE COLLAR bc all it is a symbol of what donghae can’t be, it restrict his true self and build up this fake image of this good sub that donghae CAN’T EVER BE so he hates it. he tell himself he doesn’t need but dee inside he knows that it’s something he craved so badly. it’s very much like donghae fascination of cages bc the confined of cages and collars offer donghae security and how you only locked/leashed your most prize possession and that when donghae is away from hyukjae the collar is a reminded that hyukjae is always there for him and that he belongs to hyukjae. 

ok so we know donghae secretly loves the collar but unwilling to accept it but how to i wrestled with hyukjae choking donghae... like what’s the purpose of that and then it hit me since donghae hadn’t wore a collar in a long time, he would totally deny BEING INTEREST IN IT and hyukjae will know donghae is lying and hyukjae is a man of action so he grabs donghae’s neck an intimation of a collar. at first donghae panic and thinks it’s some test. while it seems scary and there’s no communication between them, hyukjae gave donghae a way out bc hyukjae will always give donghae an escape route. he can step back from hyukjae’s touch and escape anytime, he can put an end to it if he wanted but as you know donghae’s stubborn lmao and HYUKJAE COUNT ON IT BC HE’S V V V GOOD AT READING CUES OFF DONGHAE’S BODY LANGUAGE. he knows donghae is anxious but still rise to the bite bc he just wont quit so he pushes and continues doing so until donghae finally caves and lean into the touch and all that fear and anxiety he had??? OOPS IT WASN’T FEAR OR ANXIETY AT ALL IT SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY AND THAT IS MUCH SCARIER BUT NOW HYUKJAE HAS HIM IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS. HE PLAYED DONGHAE. he made donghae see what he fear was never fear in the first place but all those signs he was giving out was him succumbing to the thing he had been wanting all along. 

so when hyukjae say, “do you remember it now?” that fucking delivery sealed it for donghae, this is what he had been missing all along.

he’s probably cried bc some of his photos couldn’t fit on a spread and the editor in chief was like “all these pics are good but like we can’t put everything in...” and he’ll just be so sad that he couldn’t showcase everything but he’ll be like I’ll find a way! and he’ll stay after school for hours editing and try to make everything work while keeping a flow

And you saw him once at like a football game bc you were told to film the game to make a highlight reel for the broadcast and he was there taking photos and u were like w ow he s kinda,,, cu te...

and like ur probably staring at him a bit too much while he’s taking photos because he just looks so happy and he’s glowing and you’re like “wOwie” but then he just like looks your way and gives u this big boxy grin and you awkwardly look back at your camera and keep shooting but your heart is like !!!

and like u keep kinda stealing glances at taehyung but ur friend jimin is talking to you over the headset and telling you to pay attention because your shots are wacky and you’re like “s-sorry,,,”

after the game you go to get food with jimin and your heart is still kinda fluttering bc wow! a cute boy! smiled at you and you’re telling jimin about it but he’s like “lots of people go after taehyung :/” and you’re like “oh :/” so you kind of give up on it

fast forward about a week and you’re like stressing about a video about the communications department that you still haven’t finished and oh god the final draft is due the next day but you still need one more interview, but your last person bailed on you so you’re like

running to find someone to get an interview with

and you’re definitely starting to panic

and u run into someone and accidentally knock them over and you’re like ‘oH god i’m so sor ry”

and u just hear like the cutest and m ost angelic laugh

and u look down to see who u knocked over and it’s taehyung and you’re like “oOh no”

and you’re a blushing mess and you just keep apologizing to him and honestly you sound like you’re so overwhelmed that you might cry and taehyung is like

o h,,, my god,, please don’t cry

so taehyung is just like “hey it’s okay I’m fine!” and he gives you that boxy smile and your heart

melts

and you finally calm down a little but you’re still like “o h god i still need an interview” and taehyung is like “for what? :0″ and you’re like “i gotta get a last minute interview for my video over communications...”

and taehyung is like “hey! i’m in journalism and that’s communications! i could help you out!”

and he kinda drags you back to the broadcasting room and sits himself down in the interview chair and you’re still kind of starstruck by him and also how he’s just,, so forward,,,,

but you get your interview done and taehyung just has! so many interesting things to say and you can tell he’s super passionate about what he does! and it’s exciting

at the end you get an amazing interview and you’re relieved that it turned out so well and you keep thanking taehyung and he’s like “it’s no problem! i’m glad i could help” and he’s always so smilely and you keep staring at h is, fa ce,,,

even though you finish your video, you guys just keep talking about journalism and getting news out and you end up sitting there for like an hour just being like wow! journalism and he tells you about how he wants to become a part of something big and show the world how cool everything can be and how not everything is terrible and it’s just so

heartwarming

eventually he’s just like “hey! we’ve been at school for a while how about we go get food? i really like talking to you!”

and you’re like oH wow okay yeah that sounds like fun

so you guys gather all your stuff and taehyung takes you to this cute little cafe and he just takes your hand and is like “this place is really nice! i like to edit here”

and you’re like yo u are h olding m y hand

but you just let him because even though you’ve only actually talked to him for like an hour you’re just really comfortable with him? so you just let him

and y’all order and sit down kind of in the back corner and he’s just all smiles and good times and you have a really fun night with him!

he’s just a big ol sweetie

but you kind of tell yourself to not get in too deep and you're kind of like “he’s probably just,,,, nice to everyone, it’s fine, it’s okay”

he takes you home at the end of the night and he’s like “hey! lemme give you my number so we can hang out more!”

so you hand him your phone and he types in his number and he fuckin puts his name in as taetae with the cutest dog emoji and you’re like

after this, the two of you become really close friends. he always takes you to events and if u need help with an interview he’ll always be there to get people to come and it’s just an all around good time

one day taehyung texts you like “hey, wanna go to this cool art event ;)” and you’re thinking that it’ll be an event that he wants to photograph so you’re like “yeah! sounds like fun” and taehyung sends you like a million heart emojis with a message that says “i’ll pick u up at 5″

(which at this point you’re probably super used to the emoji spam)

so you get ready in something kinda casual and wait til 5

and boY does he show up at 5

you get a text and it’s like “hey! im here” and you open the door and he’s all dressed up with like a nice button up and hes holding flowers and you’re like “w hat” and he’s like.., .,., h ey

and you’re wearing shorts and a tshirt and you’re like “taehyung,,,, im so underdressed also,,, why,,,”

and taehyung is really cute and blushing and he’s like “i ve liked you for a while now,, and i thought you,,,,,,, knew,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,”

an d at this point you’re both like blushing and kinda awkward but it’s cute you’re cute

you’re like “why didn’t you tell me that this was.. a date”

and he drags you out into his car and drives out into the city to this little art gallery and he takes you out to dinner and it’s really cute you guys do that thing where you brush hands when you’re walking and eventually taehyung just takes ur hand and gives you the biggest smile and you’re like ye ah i’m so dead for this bo y he s so dam n cute

you two are at a little park next to a pond and it’s getting pretty late, but you two are just laying on the grass and no one is around and the stars are out it’s so cute

eventually taehyung turns to face you and just kinda stares at you and you turn to him and you’re like “what”

and he’s not just like giving you his usual smile it’s like a serious stare and he just leans in and gives u a soft kiss

and you’re all blushy and it’s cute trust me this is adorable

and whenever the new issue of the newspaper comes out you’re like “chECK out this AMAZING NEWSPAPER that my BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED BOYFRIEND, KIM TAEHYUNG, worked on” and taehyung will do the same like when he sees you on the broadcast he will 100% start screaming like “LOOK AT HOW AMAZING MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER IS”

After a 2 week break from the graps, it would have only 1 week but due to PCW cancelling in Blackpool due to the current britwres line of "logistics". There is only so much watching Eurovision semi finals and trying to study for the winner of the 3:30 at Chepstow to tie me over, So here we start again on the #80showyear trail. Show number 29 of the #80showyear took me to just outside of Bolton and to Hindley for GPWs 3rd show of the year so far and one which on paper looked like a fun show was in store. This show was double headlined by Cyanide (minus facepaint and who has also found time to recycle his binbag trousers to a slick pair of green and black tights) vs Joey Hayes (who must have got the memo to wear green and black as well). This match was actually very good but with a very sudden finish when Joey Hayes perfected the JKO on Cyanide to get the 3 count. Now im probably not one of Joeys biggest fans but his work in GPW and PCW recently has been entertaining to watch. Cyanide as well has been doing good things in GPW and Futureshock, plus he can move well for a big lad, i would definitely hope to see him booked in a few more places than he currently is. The other main event was a rematch from January between Dylan Roberts (Champion) vs Ashton Smith. Now the 1st match between the two was a cracking match but with a screwy finish due to incompetent official Mike Fitzgerald being ko'd, so to take the mantle of Special Guest Referee in this rematch was none other than "Deadly Dangerous Chicken" Damon Leigh who earlier in the night was inducted into the GPW Hall of Fame. Now onto the match, i do feel even though it was good in places it lacked the intensity of their first encounter. It featured a walk and brawl spot that is becoming a feature of GPW Main events, when eventually order was restored it was Dylan who got the stoppage win to retain his title and more than likely will be facing Damon Leigh at a future show. Other happenings on the show included the North West's number one biggest little man - Big Joe win the fast track 4 way vs Isiah Quinn, Nicholas Cartier and L.A Austin. Good opener to start off with, Austin looked great to say he has been off for 3.5 yeard and didn't look out of place. Big Joe would eventually use his title opportunity later on to win the Tag Titles for The Bad Lads when they pinned the stricken Island bros. Big Joe for someone who hasn't been on many shows has gotten over brilliantly in GPW and has connected with the audience to get a reaction to boo him and his short man syndrome antics, but yes definitely one with a BIG future and one to note. Best two things on the show though involved resident top worker - Bubblegum. The first of which was a 6 man tag with him, Matt brooks and Jimmy Jackson vs Don Meacho and The Hate League. Non stop action in this one, with "Licky Lips" referee losing control of the action from the outset, eventually Meacho pinned Jackson with a Driver type manoueuvre to get the win but this is one that should look good on a watch back. The 2nd great thing with Gum in it was a interview segment with WWE UK star Sam Gradwell. This very much blurred the lines going into some very personal stuff aimed at Bubblegum about being a failure in life and calling his kids. Amazing segment which included the word SHIT on a family show, hopefully they build it up to be like GUMs previous feud with T-Bone and the match eventually will be fantastic. Overall this show was a 7/10 for me, some good things apart from the disappointing main event but another fun and enjoyable show to watch. Beer prices - The pub before the show was the Bird in'th hand which has plenty of Sky Sports and cheap ale at £2.40 a pint for an ale from The Theakstons range of ale. As always The Rose Club prices were cheap at £3 for Carlsberg which even though its a weak lager is passable for quaffing at shows. So we now go onto Show number 30 of the #80showyear which took me to Manchester and The Ritz for Progress Wrestling. Now as ever with these shows it seems like the Spoons on Oxford Road is the opening call of duty for the local graps gang. To be fair the effects of drinking into double figures at Haydock Races and the horror of not getting the right winner on Eurovision made it a very lethargic start to proceedings. So after leaving there it was a further 2 pints in The Font and highly recommended -The Salisbury who are now selling snacks from Beehive foods including pork pie and scotch eggs. I tried the Full English Breakfast Scotch Egg which at £2.50 was very lovely and i would say go and give them a try if spotted in many local pubs. Now onto the show, not much was hyped up for this due to Strong Style 16 being upcoming but it did have a couple of standout matches - Matt Riddle (who has abs of granite and the best hair since Kevin Nash) vs Tyler Bate and also Trent Seven vs Travis Banks. These two matches delivered for me despite 2 screwy finishes with Trent low blowing Banks and using THE MOST DANGEROUS MOVE IN WRESTLING - A CHEEKY ROLL UP!!!! Trent then caused interference in the Bate vs Riddle match which is understandable due to wrestling politics 🙄. But yes these are great for you on demand viewers. The Main Event was a 3 way between Mark Andrews/Mark Haskins/Pete Dunne for the Progress title. It was just an ok match for me with Dunne retaining after shenanigans with BSS. But what proceeded next was one of the loudest reactions i have heard in recent Progress history - The arrival of CCK to chase off British Strong Style, literally 5 quid pints were being thrown up in celebration and even i was losing my shit to say the least. A great moment to be their live and opens up many avenues Progress could go down now. Other matches on the card included Rockstar Spud vs Nathan Cruz and James Drake vs Flash Morgan Webster for SSS16 qualification. Now i would say the latter of the 2 matches was the better but apart from 30 seconds at the start of the match, Webster got a poor reaction from the crowd. Drake on the other hand got all the Arseface stuff but he is at least getting a reaction unlike Flash which is a shame. Cruz vs Spud i felt was a bit too one sided for Cruz, but it will be good to see Cruz in SSS16 as he is very good at being a smug heel. It should be noted that Turn the Page by Metallica has been replaced by generic bollocks no.127, this combined with changes to other wrestlers tunes spoilt the atmosphere for them 30 seconds where wrestlers get to show off their entrance. The London Riots vs Sweet Jesus i felt was under appreciated by some sections of the audience. It raised my expectation level of this match and both teams looked good here but i cant see Sweet Jesus beating either BSS or CCK. The only dud i thought was Jinny vs Martina, now some of the comedy was alright but i think in the early stages there was a couple of slip ups from both sides that took the match down a notch. After everything was finished at 630pm, it was back to Wetherspoons for the debrief on the show and also great to put names to faces that i have seen elsewhere, luckily unlike the last Manchester show i didnt get chopped so i remained unscathed. It was straight to bus where i probably deafened people with my rendition of Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond 😣. Beer prices - 2nd mortgage prices at The Ritz £5.40 was the dearest for Tuborg, even a bottle of water was £2.50 😮!!! Tory society for you. #grapsandclaps

9 People Shed Their Clothes To Show The Beauty Of Body Diversity

What if the clich new year, new you was less about changing your body and more about accepting it?

Its a message that Now Toronto, an alternative weekly in Toronto, Canada, has been trying to spread with its Love Your Body issue. The annual issue, which is currently in its third year, features nude photos of local Torontonians who shed their clothes to show that the best New Years resolution is to love who you are at this very moment.

Its also the magazines first issue of each new year.

We felt that the first week of January is so oversaturated with messages about how dieting is the key to happiness, Tanja Tiziana, the photographer who snapped the issues gorgeous shots, told The Huffington Post. Everyone is suddenly on this social pressure to lose weight or change themselves in order to be better.But most people fail because these resolutions arent founded in love or acceptance of their life, body, age and personal challenges.Were just pushed to compare ourselves to some airbrushed model in a magazine.

The idea of this issue, Tiziana explained, is that change and growth are both good things, but they need to come from a place of love for ourselves and each other in order to last and be fulfilling.

Michelle Da Silva, an online news writer for the magazine, also thinks the issue is about how beauty and strength come in all shapes and sizes.

All bodies deserve to be celebrated, she told HuffPost. I want people to see that our bodies tell stories about our past, but also, who we are isnt limited to the skin were in.

Each year Now Toronto puts out a call for volunteers who would be interested in posing nude and talking about their relationship with their body. Then the magazines editorial staff tries to come up with a diverse group of people with different things to share.

Tiziana told HuffPost that this years group left her with a renewed sense of gratitude after working with each one. Here are this years models:

Heidi Hawkins

Hawkins, a mother and voice-over actor, used her photo shoot to explore how pregnancy changed her body and how she views that change.

My body is completely different. I dont have time to work out or shave my legs. I dont really have time to take care of myself, but I think Im like 90 percent of women who had babies in the last couple of years. I now have cellulite, a stretchy belly and lopsided breasts from breastfeeding, but Im proud of it in a strange way.

Catherine Hernandez

Hernandez, an author, was diagnosed with two chronic illnesses last year. She used her photo shoot to speak about learning to love and listen to her body.

During the height of my sickness, I would write love letters to my body and post them up. Like, Dear Body. My beautiful Body. I am so sorry that I starved you. Im so sorry that I made you work when you didnt want to work. Im sorry that I pushed you hard when I shouldnt have. I should have just listened to you. And Im listening to you now.

Prince Amponsah

Amponsah, an actor, social worker and student at Ryerson University, was severely burned in a fire four years ago. At first, he had some reservations about jumping back into acting after the incident, but decided to chuck his fears in order to do what he loves.

I couldnt see myself going back to acting because I didnt feel I had a place there, he told the magazine. You dont see a lot of people who look like me on the stage or on the screen, and sometimes you need those kinds of role models to see yourself, to feel like you can be a part of it.

Jewelz Mazzei

Mazzei, a body activist and model, spoke to the magazine about how the body-positivity community on Instagram has changed her life.

I never see people like me in the media, and I know that if I had seen models who looked like me growing up, it may have been a bit easier to accept myself. I felt like it wasnt fair for me to love myself and not help other people, because I know what it feels like to wake up everyday and not feel okay.

She then added:

There are still so many people out there who believe they dont deserve to love themselves unless they look a certain way. I want to keep fighting for them and keep spreading the message of self-love.

Ted Hallett

Hallett, an improviser and writer, was diagnosed with kidney cancer a year ago. He received a large scar from the center of his rib cage to his right thigh due to surgery. He talked to the magazine about how facing death has allowed him to not sweat the small stuff.

I yield to the stuff I have no control over. As I get older, I give less of a shit about what people think. That includes what I look like. My body is my body, and Im cool with that.

Jasbina Justice

Justice, an activist, yoga teacher, coordinator and performer with feminist porn company Spit, used the photo shoot to expose what she sees as her true self.

When Ive done other things where Ive been nude, its more about performance performing sexuality, looking desirable or Ive been shown alongside other people. Here, I wanted to hold myself accountable to the work Ive done, taking a step toward embracing my body, sharing my story, holding myself up in a really vulnerable way.

Paul Lancaric

Lancaric, a voice-over artist, talked to the magazine about how visiting and frequenting nude beaches made him more confident about his body and work.

There have been times when my voice-over work has had me sitting in a closet recording audiobooks of erotic novels, and I didnt feel comfortable taking on those jobs until after my experiences with nude beaches and naturism, he said. It definitely connected to feeling confident enough to sit in a closet and read lurid passages about various body parts without laughing or giggling. Those books would have taken forever to record if that happened.

Monique Mojica

Mojica, an actor, playwright and artistic director at the Chocolate Woman Collective, is also of Kuna and Rappahannock descent. The 68-year-old decided to tie her photo shoot experience into her culture and anger over Standing Rock.

This shoot allowed me to take a big gulp and ask, Where is the celebration? Where is the reclamation? I thought about the women who were dancing and singing and praying in the face of volleys of tear gas, she told the magazine.

She then added:

So, for the shoot, I made it sacred to honor those women who are standing with their arms up. I thought, I am going to sing and dance and pray.

Acacia Christensen

Christensen, a female wrestler, talks about how her body gives her all kinds of strength.

When Im wrestling, thats a good [self-esteem] day. I look the least conventionally attractive when I wrestle, but Im like, This fits. Im dressed like a cartoon character and nobody can say anything about it, she said. I found out about the League of Lady Wrestlers and was asked to join, and somehow Ive become one of the draws. I decided to be the big, fat monster character. Making people boo you is weirdly powerful, and almost more gratifying than trying to get them to like you.

She also added:

I was training in Texas and went to pick up this guy for a power slam. He was like, Youre throwing me effortlessly! A dude might be twice my size and ripped, but I can knock him down because of my build. Im short and have a low center of gravity and Im really hard to move.
