Japanese Central Government Agency(4) Ministry of the Environment
Coordinating agency of other ministries. There are many jobs to protect endangered species, but what's the point of giving sympathy to creatures that humans have caused extinction?
Also, many graduates of the environmental science course at the University of Tokyo Faculty of Engineering,Department of Urban Engineering, which I graduated from, find employment at the Ministry of the Environment, but they have not properly learned about their specialty, "water problems." Therefore, we accept the fraudulent act of SDGs advocated by the United Nations as correct. (Among the 17 SDGs, acceptance of the wrong technology of flushing toilets.)
Rei Morishita

Nobody’s Son, Nobody’s Daughter
Part V
Hello my loves, here’s the fifth part of my little fem reader x edmund fanfic.
I hope you’ll enjoy!!
Word coun: slightly above 3,6k
——————————————————
After his pleasing bath Edmund eventually went to bed and tried to push away any remaining thoughts of their visitor. And soon enough he fell asleep, much easier than usual these days.
Althea on the other hand was distraught, hurt, furious. Not only was this Y/N genuinely useful for their investigation, Edmund, his Edmund was starting to fancy her,
However, Althea had to stop himself from continuing further with these thoughts. After all, he knew very well that Edmund was not attracted to men. Even if he wanted to, and knowing Edmund's kind heart he would if he knew, he could not love Althea the way he wanted to be loved.
The King was grateful that he had gotten a good night's rest for the first time since the death of his siblings. In a way however it made him feel guilty. This felt like he was beginning to move on and it felt wrong to do so. It had only been a couple of months at this point.
When the message had reached him he thought the pain would never subside and in a way he was happy about that. Edmund felt responsible for their death, he thought it to be a just punishment to be carrying the hurt until the day he died himself. It was only right, especially because the hurt was supposed to weigh as much as the love he felt for them, infinite. He didn't want the hurt to end because it was a reminder of the love he still felt for Peter, Susan and Lucy. He feared that if the pain was subsiding so would the love, the memories and everything else. Edmund was now the only person in the entire world to know about England, their homeland, their upbringing, their mother and their father. He felt left alone with all this knowledge of a past life that had been wiped from all the records. He felt lost, like a child in a busy market whose parents had wandered off, who was surrounded by tall, scary lookong adults who walked past him.
He stood up and went over to his dresser, pulling out the flashlight he had brought with him to Narnia. The batteries had died ages ago but to him it was still a reminder of the lives they used to live. Of technology, development, the war and their world, their home.
With his siblings' death died not only his family but also his entire past. Edmund loved Narnia and he was proud to rule over this wonderful land, however he did miss England sometimes. He missed the friends he had back there, the convenience of technology, trains and flushing toilets. Susan had tried to introduce the Narnians to the concept of plumbing and trains but they had no interest in learning about all that. Sometimes this all felt like a very strange dream. He didn't admit it to anybody but ever since they had passed Edmund wondered if the wardrobe they first stepped through was still somewhere out there. He wondered if death travelled between worlds or if his siblings would still be alive and well somewhere in England.
In times like these he mostly missed his father. When Edmund was still a boy his father could help him navigate the difficult moments, he would take his hands and lead the way, hug him tightly and give him courage and some good advice. But now Edmund was alone, he felt utterly alone in the universe and he was grieving not only their lives but also his own. Aside from the difficult task of suddenly ruling over an entire kingdom on his own he now also felt responsible to keep their memories alive. No one who was here with him had known him as a child, no one knew even just his parent's names. Despite being so well liked and established in Narnia he couldn't help but feel like a stranger. Like a tumor which had developed here and needed to be killed off. As if he didn't belong here. Narnia was never meant to be left to one single ruler. Their entire rise to power was based on the circumstance of them being siblings. It was rooted in their deep understanding of each other and the ways in which they complemented each other. Being alone felt wrong, it felt lonely. Edmund was torn between embarking on a desperate search for them or staying here to hold down the ship, praying that this was all just a huge misunderstanding and he would hear their voices coming up the stairs in their old house in England one more time.
Without realising Edmund had sunk to the ground and had begun silently sobbing. He clutched the flashlight to his chest struggling to breathe.
"Your Majesty!" Y/N exclaimed as she arrived at his door. The King looked at her as if he had seen all the horrors of the world. "I apologise your Highness, yesterday at the dinner you asked to meet me early this morning to continue our work- I apologise I-" she tried to explain but quickly stopped because the King began calling for something, someone unknown to Y/N through his tears "Dad, dad please ... please come... help me .. dad.." Y/N made a decision then which she knew to be risky but proceeded with anyway. She rushed over to where Edmund lay on the floor and scooped him up, resting his upper body against hers and gently stroking his hair while her other arm held him tight. "It's okay Your Majesty, you are not alone, you are safe, let it out, let it all out." she whispered reassuringly as she held him tightly. She pressed his ear to her chest, hoping the steady sound of her heartbeat would ground him a bit. She sat with him for a long time, holding him as he worked through his tears and called names of people unknown to Y/N. She did her best trying to comfort him and guide him through his pain. It dawned on her that he was not aware who she was at the moment. She felt this anonymity gave her a certain freedom. "Your Majesty, it is all good, you will be fine, I am here ... Edmund, listen to me, I am here. Edmund." his name rolled easily off her tongue. It was foreign to her native language, or any language she knew for that matter but it was a name she liked, it was peculiar but fitted this unique man in her opinion. "Edmund, try to breathe, Edmund." At the sound of his name Edmund slowly calmed down. His feelings hadn't stopped but he was exhausted and he suddenly felt as if the situation had improved somehow. He came to his senses and his vision cleared up. When he realised where he was, in the state he was, with who he was, his eyes widened in shock and embarrassment. "Miss Y/N I am deeply sorry I - I do not know what - I" Y/N felt equally embarrassed and could barely hold back the blush which filled her cheeks "No no no I am sorry Ed- Your Highness. I am sorry if I crossed a line, I never meant to intrude on your privacy like this. You were so very distraught and I was concerned for your safety, I am endlessly sorry." Edmund took a few deep breaths "don't be .. I .. I must admit I lost my composure there and I do appreciate you.. taking care of me."
The two remained this close for quite a while, perhaps longer than necessary. It felt nice to be held like this and even Y/N, through all her efforts to remain professional, had to admit that being this close to such a remarkable man made her feel a bit giddy.
Eventually however, Edmund got up "Y/N, please, after this endeavour, would you please join me for breakfast." he offered and put on a charming smile, extending an elbow to her. Y/N gave him a polite smile and grabbed his elbow "I would be happy to, Your Highness"
Edmund led the two down to the dining hall where a lavish breakfast was already waiting for them.
This time the words came more easily to him. Edmund felt that this involuntary display of vulnerability broke some sort of ice between them and he found himself rather comfortable around Y/N, happy almost.
Althea watched Edmund's sudden change in behaviour and couldn't help but be slightly disappointed. To him it looked like Edmund was trying to seduce her after his newfound pleasure from last night. As if he was simply trying to get her to sleep with him, jeopardising their entire work as a professional team.
After the breakfast Althea practically scolded Edmund "Edmund, please, I understand that you are yearning for.. intimacy , but please satisfy this desire by calling on one of the mistresses, not by serenading our most useful resource in this investigation."
"Excuse me Althea, what in Merlin's name is making you say that!"
"Do you think I don't notice the way you look at Y/N, the way you talk to her. I understand that she is an attractive young woman but don't lose sight of what is important. She is not your toy to play with !"
"Althea! Stop this at once, you know very well I respect women far too much to ever view them as a toy! And I have no intimate intentions with Y/N. I enjoy her company. That is true, I find her to be intelligent, well-educated, pleasant to work with and caring. Yes, she is attractive but we both know I am not one to go around seducing women."
"Caring? ... Whatever, please keep in mind that she is here only for this investigation. She is an employee of the royal court of the Yuvak, even if you two enjoy each other's company her stay here is limited."
Their conversation did lead Edmund to questioning his behaviour towards Y/N. He understood that exploring these feelings was not only dangerous but also in vain, because she was not his to keep.
The following weeks were filled with work and a close collaboration with the Yuvak people. Thanks to Y/N's help a good relationship was established between the two kingdoms and they combined their forces to work against the mysterious men threatening the stability of monarchies. Edmund's excellent military leader skills came in handy and he was able to contribute to the safety measures taken.
Edmund felt like they were making serious progress even though the end of this struggle was still far away. During all this time he tried his best to keep a respectable distance between him and Y/N.
He tried to satisfy his desires and distract himself with other women but his mind always wandered to her no matter who he was with.
Slowly summer was starting to spread its warmth and brightness. This meant their annual Summer's Night ball was approaching. Y/N had heard of it. The two sisters had started this tradition to celebrate the start of the new season, and secretly to find a match for their oldest brother and perhaps themselves. The ball started the official season in the capital and families from all over Narnie came to try and find matches for their children.
"I will bring the seamstress to your room to get you fitted for a dress." Ruth explained cheerfully. "I'm sorry, Ruth please, my current wardrobe is more than satisfying. I do not need a new dress." Y/N tried to shake it off. "But Miss of course you do, attending the Summer's Night ball without a proper dress would be wildly inappropriate."
"The ball? I had no idea I would be attending Ruth, I have not received an invitation." "Yet," added Ruth "You must know, we, the servants, we talk to each other and King Edmund's messenger boy just so happened to catch your name on one of the invitations. Your invitation has been sent out, it just hasn't arrived yet."
"Oh ... in that case I must apologise, you were right then."
While Ruth rushed away to get the seamstress Y/N couldn't help but smile to herself, being invited to a ball by a proper King was certainly exciting and being able to wear a beautiful gown made her even more giddy.
The dress turned out beautiful. It was a proper ball gown and combined with the jewellery she was allowed to borrow for the night Y/N felt like a princess.
Once the ball had started Althea came to her chamber to collect her "Y/N, soon the King will arrive, we should head down."
He had a rather complicated relationship with Y/N, while he did appreciate her help he felt hurt that she got all this attention from Edmund without even trying. However, he also had to face the fact that ultimately this was not her fault. As much as he wanted to blame her he knew better than anybody else that one's feelings were not always obedient.
The ball was breathtakingly beautiful. The decorations, the music, the food, the people, everything was perfect. Y/N's diplomatic heart was filled with joy as she was able to exchange with people from all over Narnia and even beyond that. She enjoyed meeting so many new people and as the night grew darker she became more energetic, dancing with many people, except for one.
The King was dressed in a suit which fit like a second skin, making him look exactly the right amount sophisticated and sexy at the same time. His dark hair was flowing perfectly in the warm breeze of the night and the handsome smile he put on was intoxicating. His face was clean shaven to show off his perfectly chiselled jawline. His broad shoulders were nicely framed by his jacket and the rings he wore highlighted his strong, veiny hands.
Y/N felt a strange fuzzy feeling in her lower abdomen when he entered the hall. With him being the only monarch of Narnia, and unmarried, many royal women made an attempt to get closer to him. Mothers and fathers, eager to marry off their daughters to the best possible man, were flocking around him like vultures surrounding a carcass. He entertained some of them out of politeness but he knew he wasn't interested in any of them. He only had eyes for one woman, who was currently spinning over the dance floor in a dress more beautiful than all the stars in the sky combined. When he looked at her he could no longer resist the feeling of desire that overcame him. He was so full of her he could barely eat that night. The fabric flowed in a way that made it look like she was floating and the colour perfectly matched her skin colour. He recognised the jewellery she was wearing, the sparkling diamonds were part of the royal collection. These pieces didn't initially belong to the Pevensies, they had been passed down from past monarchs. He was so caught up in the way she looked he didn't even wonder who gave her the permission to wear them.
When she eventually left the crowd of people to catch some fresh air the King sneakily followed her.
He found her on the balcony of the grand library, leaning against the railing, looking out into the summer night. She looked so happy, so beautiful so much like Y/N the man couldn't help but approach her. It was as if his mind and reason had given over the control of his body to some primal urge which he had tried to bury unsuccessfully and which was now breaking out of him like the eruption of a volcano.
"Y/N!" he called and she just managed to turn to face him when he cupped her face and pressed his mouth onto hers before she could protest. Perhaps it was the alcohol she had consumed but Y/N saw no issue in leaning into the kiss. She gently pressed her hands on his chest and this time it was her turn to feel his heartbeat. Only he wasn't calm, his heart was beating rapidly and it matched the eagerness of his kiss. She couldn't help but smile. "Your Highness I-" "Please" Edmund panted "call me Edmund, at least for now, at least for tonight."
"Edmund, I .. I don't know what to say." "Don't worry Y/N I already know everything I need for tonight" he whispered and grabbed her waist, kissing her roughly as he carried her to one of the tables and setting her down. It was as if they had given up control to their hidden desires. In the privacy of the darkness with the crowd only being a background noise the two finally let loose. They finally gave in to all the attraction they had been feeling and denying themselves for weeks. If it weren't for the clothing between them their bodies they would have devoured each other whole. Y/N felt how strong and muscular Edmund really was. She let her hands travel over his broad shoulders and down his chest until she could feel his defined abs underneath his shirt. It was intoxicating to be pinned down by such an attractive man. After all, Edmund was head of the royal army, he was the best soldier they had of course he was incredibly fit.
Y/N considered herself a well off woman, she enjoyed the pleasures of education and employment, in many ways she saw herself as equal to most men she encountered. But there was something so arousing about the clear dominance Edmund had right now. The way he was leading the kiss, holding her body in place and shielding her from their surroundings so that all her senses were consumed with Edmund, Edmund, Edmund.
Her mind was blank, all she could feel was the wetness between her legs and subsequently the hardness growing between his. Y/N rarely engaged in intimate activities, it was a side effect of her profession that she had to maintain a certain distance between herself and almost anybody else. But she was more than happy to leave that behind for tonight as she let her hand travel down Edmund's body and into his trousers. When she finally grasped his aching cock Edmund let out a strained moan "Oh fuck Y/N, you have no idea how much I have wanted this, how much I have wanted you, needed you." Y/N ceased the moment of weakness and switched their position. With Edmund being pressed up against the edge of the table she slowly sunk to her knees while opening his trousers. She looked up at Edmund and met his desperate eyes, screaming for relief, panting as he gripped the table. She looked deeply into these dark eyes and she knew right then and there that not even a guillotine could take away the head she was about to give to this man.
With that she dived in, she engulfed his penis and began to suck on it like a starving woman devouring her meal. She used her hands to work over the length she couldn't cover with her mouth. The girth and length of his cock was intoxicating and she found herself enjoying the sensation of her lips being stretched open. She put in all the effort and Edmund's delicious moans and grunts made it more than worth it to her. "Bloddy hell Y/N for fuck's sake keep going- please- I - argh" Edmund struggled to speak, his voice sounded raspy and he seemed out of breath, so instead he grabbed her hair and guided her head up and down his cock. Y/N happily gave it her all and relaxed her throat to take in more of him. She swirled her tongue around his tip as she sucked. Edmund gripped the table so hard he almost broke off a chunk. Y/N blinked away the tears forming in her eyes and looked up at him with the most innocent look she could put on and Edmund almost went feral in that moment. All the feelings he had ignored, the yearning for her touch, it was all catching up to him at lightning speed and he was overwhelmed by pleasure. With her performance and his pent up desire it didn't take long for him to unleash everything he had into her mouth. Like the eager woman she was, Y/N diligently swallowed every last drop and proudly showed off her clean tongue to the man struggling to stand above her. "Y/N I - I have no words, I haven't felt this good since .. I don't even know" he picked her up and kissed her once again.
"Edmund, please, I'm afraid, the guests, they will have noticed your absence by now" Y/N whispered, afraid to speak the words herself.
Reluctantly Edmund stopped kissing her and gently put her down on the table again "as always Y/N, you are correct .. and I will return but please, I beg you, come to my chamber tonight instead of yours, I would hate for this to be our only encounter." he adjusted his clothing and fixed his hair before cupping her cheeks once more. "Please, consider this a pause, not an end." he kissed her sweetly one last time and gave her a wide smile before heading back to the ballroom.
So, Y/N was left alone with her own arousal, she didn't feel neglected though but rather motivated to get what she wanted later. She took her time to adjust everything and hide any evidence of their little meeting before also returning to the ball.

Miscellaneous Skibidi Toilet ideas (part 3)
The only way to kill a Skibidi for good is to properly destroy the head (shooting, stabbing, etc.). If you only flush it, the Skibidi head is only temporarily out of action, and will later respawn in another empty toilet. (That's why the war is still going on - the alliance doesn't realise this and relies too much on flushing.)
---
Microphones and speakers are the same thing, just specialised in different directions. (That not a headcanon; that's literally true IRL. Any speaker can function as a crude microphone and vice versa.) Therefore, some cameras can learn to use their microphone as a tiny speaker, enabling them to audibly vocalise a bit (just very quietly and tinnily).
This would also explain why the Skibidi-possessed cameras are able to join in the 'skibidi skibidi skibidi' chant; they're sounding it out through their microphones.
They probably can't use their microphones as a mic and a speaker at the same time, so if they choose to talk out loud, they can't hear anything as they say it.
---
Imagine speakers enjoying discovering a cache of human-made music, until they stumbled across Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music and were like '…no no no no NO NO NO not that one!'
That album was made by Reed playing an electric guitar and putting a microphone between 2 amplifiers and recording the resulting feedback. Speakers would probably think that was so wrong!
---
Imagine hardware-heads being fascinated by humans being able to increase their strength through weight-lifting and other training. It means that humans can effectively self-upgrade. They'd probably be in awe of our tissues' ability to self-repair too.
---
Cameras see at a fixed framerate, resulting in some interesting effects when recording something that's in sync with the framerate. (This is a thing IRL; you've probably already seen clips of helicopter rotors or plane propellors in sync with a video camera, making it look as though the aircraft is mysteriously hovering without moving its engines.)
Therefore, with a bit of 'Hollywood logic', you could write something with Skibidis developing stealth technology that takes advantage of this effect, blinking out of existence during each frame. The stealthy Skibidi is undone when the hardware-heads call in a human ally to help - human eyes' saccades are too random for the Skibidi to keep up, and the human can see them!
(I won't go into saccades to avoid derailing the post, but look them up when you get a moment. The way eyes work is nuts!)
---
Silliness: imagine a hardware-head trying to access a human webpage but they can't because they don't tick the 'prove you're human/not a robot' tickbox. They think it's just a preferences thing; they don't realise it controls access to the page.
---
What would hardware-heads think of normal human-made hardware? Would it be creepy to them? If an Alliance camera saw a human-made CCTV camera on a pole, would that be disturbing because it's like a severed head? Or would it be fine because it's clearly a different thing from themselves? Or maybe it would be funny like a Halloween decoration, in the same way we might be amused by a funny skull on display.
---
The Titans' brains are so colossal and powerful that they could do Bitcoin-mining calculations in their heads just for fun.

I am biased myself, yet I tend to be annoyed when armchair scientists determine things as worthless just by glancing at them. It really bugs me.
This technology could be immensely useful in space travel!
First of all, we invent things for a reason. And they all have uses no one expected. Second, engineers can invent things the same way artists do, they will go mad if they can't. You wouldn't say art is worthless!
It happens with rockets: "why spend the money up there? it's just a billionaire boondoggle!" rockets are expensive but not costing anywhere near the amounts people make up. The US government regularly flushes the equivalent of NASA's yearly budget down the toilet on war machines that don't even see the light of day.
"but what about musk's other things?" I hate musk. The ideas he and his ilk come up with though A, aren't usually their own, and B, aren't inherently bad just because they thought of them! Often they're knockoffs of good ideas! The hyper loop thing technically isn't *wrong*, it's just impractical. The electric car is a good concept! Just run by a moron.
Ive seen people dismiss artificial bees and ice-making ships meant to replace polar ice, and laugh them off, "We have nature for that!"
You know we have nature for heart disease too. We usually fix that through artificial means.

Your toilet might be the most underrated appliance in your home—but when something goes wrong, you notice immediately. From ghostly whistling noises and endless running water to choosing the right toilet for your bathroom or RV, there's more to this porcelain throne than meets the eye.
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore:
Common toilet issues and their fixes
Product reviews for toilet parts and accessories
Comparisons of popular toilet brands and models
Septic-safe toilet paper and environmentally friendly options
Let’s dive in—flush with confidence.
1. Why Is My Toilet Making a Whistling Noise?
Have you ever heard your toilet emit a high-pitched whistling sound after flushing? It might sound like something out of a horror movie, but the cause is usually mechanical. Learn why your toilet is whistling and how a faulty fill valve is often to blame. In most cases, replacing the fill valve is a quick DIY fix that brings peace (and quiet) back to your bathroom.
2. Why Does My Toilet Keep Running?
A constantly running toilet isn't just annoying—it’s wasteful. It can waste hundreds of gallons of water each day, significantly raising your water bill. Here’s why your toilet keeps running and how to stop it. Spoiler alert: it usually involves the flapper, float, or fill valve. The good news? These are inexpensive parts you can replace yourself in minutes.
3. The Best Toilet Fill Valves in 2025
Since fill valves are the root cause of many toilet issues (like whistling or running water), investing in a high-quality one is crucial. Check out the best toilet fill valves on the market today. The guide covers models with universal fit, anti-siphon technology, and water-saving features. Whether you’re upgrading a standard toilet or replacing a faulty part, this review will help you choose wisely.
4. What’s the Best Toilet Paper for Septic Tanks?
If you have a septic system, the wrong toilet paper can wreak havoc—leading to clogs, expensive pumping, and long-term damage. This guide on the best toilet paper for septic tanks breaks down safe, biodegradable options that break down quickly while still delivering softness and strength.
Here are some factors to look for:
Septic-safe labeling
Low ply count (1-2 ply)
Rapid disintegration test results
Chlorine-free processing
5. One-Piece Toilets vs Two-Piece: Which is Better?
If you're remodeling your bathroom or replacing an old unit, you’ve likely debated between one-piece and two-piece toilets. Explore the best one-piece toilets of 2025 and find out why they’re gaining popularity. They’re sleek, easier to clean, and often more leak-resistant. Plus, some models offer built-in bidets, soft-close lids, and dual-flush mechanisms.
6. Best Elongated Toilet Seats for Comfort
Round or elongated? While round seats save space, elongated models are more ergonomic and comfortable—especially for adults or people with mobility issues. Our review of the best elongated toilet seats includes options with slow-close hinges, antimicrobial surfaces, and easy installation features.
Pro tip: Always measure your toilet bowl before ordering a seat—some elongated bowls vary in length by an inch or two.
7. Gerber Toilets vs Kohler: Which Is Right for You?
Toilet brand wars are real. If you’re shopping for a reliable, powerful toilet, the debate often comes down to Gerber vs Kohler. See how these two brands compare in flushing performance, water efficiency, build quality, and price. You’ll discover which one offers better value for your budget and bathroom needs.

Flushed With Pride
There is a theorem in science called Occam’s Razor which states that the ‘simplest, most elegant explanation is usually the closest to the truth.’
I am sure there are things in life that you can apply this theorem to improve many aspects of our lives, and make them better. However, while Occam’s Razor may be the best way to find the truth, I feel it may also be the best way to identify the perfect design of a form or function.
Of course, I’m talking about the bathroom.
What was wrong with the way my bathroom functioned for the majority of my life?
I’ll tell you – nothing.
You did your business, depressed the handle on the side of the tank to flush, turned on the faucet, washed your hands, and left.
Perfect, right?
Yes, so society said, “let’s change it.”
The first change I can remember is when the handle to flush toilet moved from the side of the tank, and was now a button on top of the tank, directly behind you.
What contortionist designed this contraption? Which of the seven fundamental ballet movements do I need to perform in order to flush?
Next came the motion sensitive toilets and urinals.
In hindsight, just because technology is available, doesn’t mean you have to use it.
At the beginning of this improvement, the slightest motion in the bathroom and a rush of water escaped down the pips even before you have done anything.
Then they improved on that improvement, and it was a game changer (but not in a good way).
The motion sensitive light jumped from the toilet/urinal to the faucet and paper towel dispenser, and that’s when the fun began.
If they filmed us in the bathroom, there would be reels of footage of grown men and woman performing karate movements (Wax on, Wax off) just to coax water from the faucet.
Hell, while arms and hands crisscross the air, you could earn a Black Belt just to get paper towels out of the damn machine.
It doesn’t stop there, however.
This past weekend, we had a family dinner at a Brazilian Steak House. (Side note, so much food).
I was not familiar with Brazilian Steak House, but basically there is a constant barrage of servers who constantly roam between tables, with meat impaled on swords and carve slices of food onto your plates.
At the end of dinner, I needed to find the rest room.
It was a very large restaurant, and with the continuous wave of customers and servers (with meat swords), I redirected my path several times before I reached my destination.
With both the MAN and WOMAN icons on the one door, I expected a unisex restroom.
I was wrong.
There were ten separate bathrooms, five doors on each side of the room, each with either a green VACANT or red OCCUPIED displayed under the door knob.
Opened the nearest VACANT door, and stepped inside. What I found was not just a stall, but a bathroom complete with toilet, full vanity, and hand drier.
After I finished my business, I expected the toilet to flush once I stepped away, but it did not. There was what looked like a motion detector in front so I waved my hand across it like I was meeting and old friend for the first time.
Nothing.
Then I noticed a small, silver button at the right-side-back-end of the tank. Odd placement indeed, but when I pushed the button the water flushed away.
The faucet at the bathroom sink was a tall cylinder with a spout but no handles to control the water. There was, however, a small lever on the bottom right so I flipped it forward and backwards and expected the water to flow.
Nothing.
Then I pushed the top of the cylinder down and water came out of the spout.
Success.
Washed my hands, and miraculously paper towels emerged from the machine after just a few basic hand movements.
The water from the faucet continued to run.
Back at the sink, I looked for an off switch/button/anything but nothing.
I pulled the top of the cylinder up, but the water still ran.
After a few more seconds the water continued to pour from the faucet, so I left.
As far as I know, its still running.
I liked it so much better when you walked into a bathroom and you knew what to expect.
And don’t even get me started about those Bidets...

Best Drain Cleaning Services Bastrop, TX
When you consider the different elements of the plumbing system in your home, you probably overlook the drainage system. Don’t worry, most people do. When most people think about plumbing, they think about water coming out of their faucets and shower heads, their toilets flushing, and their washing machines working. However, once that water has been used, it has to go somewhere, which is why having reliable, functioning drains in your home is so important. Without it, your home is in significant danger of a plumbing emergency and the issues they can cause.
If water was the only thing that passed through your home’s drains, nothing would ever go wrong. But food, hair, grease, and any other number of substances also pass through those same drains. Over time, these substances produce clogs, deteriorated drainage lines, and more. That’s why Plumbing Pros offers a wide variety of plumbing services in Bastrop, TX, including drain cleaning.
Our team of plumbers are equipped with the best tools in the industry and the most cutting-edge technology. No matter where the issue with your drain is located within your plumbing system, our plumbers can find it and remove it. This ensures that every aspect of your home’s plumbing is working at its best, including getting wastewater away from your home.
We Service All Drains
The drain cleaning services Near me in Bastrop, TX at Plumbing Pros don’t just include running a snake down your kitchen sink to bust up a clog. Our team members know how to tackle any problems in every drain in your home. Here’s a look at some of the drain cleaning services that we offer.
Kitchen Sink Drains in Bastrop, TX
The kitchen sink in your home is one of the most used plumbing appliances you have. You use it during food prep, to wash your hands, and to wash dishes. With that in mind, there is always a chance of food debris entering the drain and producing a clog. Fats and other non-soluble items that don’t break down when water hits them can build up quickly and put too much stress on the waterlines that are supposed to carry wastewater away from your home.
Bathroom Drains in Bastrop, TX
There are multiple drains in your bathroom, each of which face their own unique set of potential problems. For instance, sinks in your bathroom may collect hair if you stand over the sink to shave. Even if you feel like you clean up most of the mess hair leaves behind, small strands of hair can accumulate over time, leading to a hairball in the drain line. Showers and tubs not only collect hair, but the same soap scum that you scrub off your tiles can build up in the drains. Since most bars of soap contain animal fat, this residue can quickly build up in your drains, leading to clogs, broken waterlines, and other problems.
Perhaps the most important drain in your bathroom is the toilet. When water, human waste, toilet paper, and other materials that you’re trying to flush can’t freely flow to your home’s septic tank, it won’t take long before noxious odors seem to take over your home. If the line that goes from your toilet to your septic tank becomes clogged, it’s vital that you call for a professional plumber to get to your home quickly.
Floor Drains in Bastrop, TX
If you have a basement or a garage in your home, you’ve probably noticed the drains in the floor. Obviously, you never want there to be standing water in either of these spaces, but if there is, it’s crucial that it can drain quickly. Floor drains are among the most likely drains in your home to get clogged. A clogged floor drain can lead to standing water in your home which compromises the structural integrity of your property, produces mold, and leads to a host of other problems.

Mastering the Art of Plumbing Solutions: Your Key to a Leak-Free Home
A home isn’t just a physical structure; it’s a sanctuary of comfort, safety, and functionality. One of the cornerstones of a safe and functional home is its plumbing system, often overlooked until something goes wrong. Mastering the art of plumbing solutions is about more than quick fixes—it’s about understanding, maintaining, and improving your home’s plumbing for a hassle-free and leak-free lifestyle.

Understanding Plumbing Solutions: The Backbone of a Leak-Free Home
At its core, plumbing is a network of pipes, fixtures, and appliances working together to deliver water efficiently while ensuring waste is removed safely. Effective plumbing solutions address every aspect of this system, from preventing leaks to ensuring efficient water flow.
A reliable plumbing system doesn’t just maintain functionality; it also safeguards your home from potential disasters. A single undetected leak can lead to mold, structural damage, and skyrocketing water bills. Mastering plumbing solutions involves being proactive—understanding the signs of trouble, implementing preventative measures, and knowing when to call in professionals.
The Evolution of Plumbing: From Necessity to Craft
Plumbing has a rich history that highlights its importance in human civilization. Ancient civilizations like the Romans and Egyptians understood the necessity of transporting clean water and removing waste. Over time, plumbing evolved from rudimentary systems of aqueducts and clay pipes to today’s complex networks of copper, PVC, and stainless steel.
Modern plumbing solutions have transformed homes into efficient hubs of water management. The integration of technology, such as smart water monitors and touchless faucets, has elevated plumbing from a utility to a lifestyle enhancement. Mastering plumbing solutions today means blending traditional techniques with modern innovations for optimal results.
Identifying Common Plumbing Issues
The journey to a leak-free home begins with awareness. Common plumbing issues can be broadly categorized into leaks, clogs, and inefficiencies:
Leaks: A dripping faucet, a running toilet, or a damp spot on the wall may seem minor but can lead to significant problems over time. Leaks not only waste water but can also cause structural damage.
Clogs: From slow-draining sinks to blocked toilets, clogs disrupt daily routines. They often arise from accumulated debris, grease, or foreign objects lodged in the pipes.
Water Pressure Issues: Low water pressure can make showers frustrating, while high pressure can strain pipes and appliances, leading to premature wear.
Being able to identify these problems early is the first step in mastering plumbing solutions. Early detection saves time, money, and the inconvenience of dealing with more significant repairs down the line.
Preventative Measures: The Pillar of Plumbing Solutions
Preventative measures are the backbone of a robust plumbing system. Simple steps can go a long way in preventing leaks and ensuring efficiency:
Regular Inspections: Conduct periodic checks of visible pipes, faucets, and fixtures for signs of wear, rust, or leaks. Even minor issues, if left unchecked, can escalate quickly.
Water Pressure Regulation: Invest in a water pressure gauge to monitor your home’s water pressure. Installing a pressure regulator can help maintain safe levels, protecting pipes and appliances.
Proper Waste Disposal: Avoid flushing non-biodegradable items down the toilet and keep grease and food particles out of sinks. Install drain screens to catch debris.
Seasonal Maintenance: Winter poses a significant risk to plumbing systems due to freezing pipes. Insulate exposed pipes and drain outdoor hoses to prevent burst pipes.
The Art of Fixing Plumbing Issues
While preventative measures are essential, problems may still arise. Mastering plumbing solutions involves understanding how to tackle these issues effectively.
Fixing Leaks
A leaking faucet or pipe might seem simple, but each type requires a tailored approach. Start by turning off the water supply to the affected area. For faucets, replacing worn-out washers or O-rings often solves the issue. For pipes, applying pipe tape or a sealant can offer a temporary fix until professional help is available.
Addressing Clogs
For minor clogs, a plunger or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar can work wonders. Avoid chemical drain cleaners, as they can corrode pipes. For stubborn blockages, a drain snake or professional-grade auger might be necessary.
Restoring Water Pressure
If water pressure drops suddenly, check for clogged aerators or showerheads. Cleaning these components can restore proper flow. Persistent pressure issues may indicate larger problems within the plumbing system, requiring expert intervention.
When to Call a Professional
While DIY plumbing solutions can address many issues, some situations demand the expertise of a licensed plumber. Burst pipes, major leaks, sewer line backups, and water heater malfunctions are complex problems best handled by professionals. Knowing your limits is an essential part of mastering plumbing solutions. Attempting to fix a severe issue without the necessary skills can exacerbate the problem.
The Role of Technology in Modern Plumbing Solutions
The integration of technology has revolutionized plumbing solutions. Smart home devices now offer homeowners unparalleled control and convenience. Leak detectors, for instance, can alert you to potential issues before they become catastrophic. Smart water heaters allow for precise temperature control and energy efficiency, while touchless faucets promote hygiene and water conservation.
Adopting these innovations not only enhances the functionality of your plumbing system but also contributes to a sustainable and eco-friendly home. As technology advances, the scope of plumbing solutions continues to expand, offering homeowners more tools to ensure a leak-free home.
Sustainability and Plumbing Solutions
In today’s world, sustainability is no longer optional—it’s a necessity. Plumbing solutions play a critical role in conserving water and energy. Installing low-flow fixtures, dual-flush toilets, and energy-efficient water heaters can significantly reduce your environmental footprint while lowering utility bills.
Rainwater harvesting systems and greywater recycling are other innovative plumbing solutions that promote sustainability. These systems capture and reuse water for non-potable purposes, such as irrigation or flushing toilets, reducing overall water consumption.
Building a Relationship with Your Plumbing System
Mastering plumbing solutions goes beyond repairs and installations; it’s about building a relationship with your plumbing system. This involves understanding how it works, recognizing its limitations, and treating it with care. Educate yourself on basic plumbing concepts and tools, and don’t hesitate to seek advice from professionals.
Regular communication with a trusted plumber can also be invaluable. They can provide insights into your home’s plumbing system, recommend upgrades, and perform routine maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
Conclusion: Embracing the Journey to a Leak-Free Home
Mastering the art of plumbing solutions is not just about fixing problems—it’s about prevention, care, and improvement. A leak-free home is a harmonious blend of proper maintenance, timely repairs, and smart innovations. By understanding your plumbing system and adopting a proactive approach, you can ensure your home remains a sanctuary of comfort and functionality.
As technology and techniques continue to evolve, the possibilities for mastering plumbing solutions are endless. Whether it’s through regular maintenance, adopting sustainable practices, or leveraging the latest advancements, the path to a leak-free home is well within your reach. Invest time and effort into your plumbing system, and it will reward you with years of reliability and peace of mind.

However, such systems are largely dependable because in the occurrence of multiple problems that may interfere with their operations, they can still work. Here’s what the main causes are of some common septic tank problems, and how to fix them, so your septic tank can do its job.

Common Septic Tank Problems
Among the most challenging problems homeowners come across, sewage backup in sinks, toilets or bathtubs is something that really scares people. This may be because of blockages on the inlet or outlet pipes, or inside the septic tank and thus clogging the system. Visit here to know more:-
Causes:
Clogged pipes from non-biodegradable items
Insufficient tank size for the household’s needs
Damaged or broken pipes
Solution: It is recommended that you take time to occasionally inspect and control your plumbing system. If you find yourself with a backup, cease using water and call a septic specialist to survey the situation and remove the obstruction.
2. Foul Odors
If your yard or your house has the kind of smell that isn’t appealing, it could mean that your septic tank does not work!
Causes:
Overloading the tank with waste
A failing drain field
Cracks or leaks in the tank
Solution: Increase the understanding of waste generation points and remove those that contribute more than necessary. If the smell continues, it is necessary to inspect the whole system in order to find out where the leakage is or to check the state of the drain field.
3. Slow Draining Fixtures
When your sinks, showers, or toilets are draining slowly, it could mean something is wrong with your septic system.
Causes:
Clogged pipes or filters
A full septic tank
Solution: Start at the fixture level because more often than not blockages originate at this level. If however the problem has gotten out of hand, the tank may have to be pumped. The problem can be avoided by practicing regular pumping that is recommended to be done after every 3-5 years.
4. Standing Water or Wet Spots
Seeing pools of water in your yard, especially near the drain field, is a sign of trouble.
Causes:
Saturated drain field
Failing septic tank components
Roots from nearby trees invading the system
Solution: Do not plant trees close to your septic system and it could be wise to drain water away from the septic area. In the event that you have wet spots around, you should seek the services of a professional to assess your drain field.
5. Lush Grass Growth
While a green lawn is typically a good sign, an unusually lush patch near your septic system can indicate a problem.
Causes:
Excess nutrients from a leaking tank
Over-saturation in the drain field
Solution: Check for leakage in the area? This increase, therefore, needs to be accredited with a number of other symptoms signifying that the system may be failing and requires professionals to diagnose.

Pressure Assist Toilets: What You Need to Know
Introduction
Pressure assist toilets have gained popularity for their powerful flushing capabilities, making them a go-to choice for many homeowners and businesses. Unlike traditional gravity-fed toilets, pressure assist toilets use compressed air to deliver a more forceful flush, reducing the likelihood of clogs and improving overall efficiency.

How Pressure Assist Toilets Work
At the core of a pressure assist toilet is a pressure vessel that holds water and air. When the toilet is flushed, the compressed air in the vessel forces water into the bowl at high velocity, effectively clearing waste with less water than a standard gravity toilet. This mechanism ensures that waste is removed quickly and efficiently, making these toilets ideal for high-traffic areas.
Advantages of Pressure Assist Toilets
Powerful Flush: The main advantage of pressure assist toilets is their powerful flush. The pressurized system helps to prevent clogs, which is especially useful in environments where toilets are frequently used.
Water Efficiency: Pressure assist toilets typically use less water per flush compared to gravity-fed toilets. This water-saving feature can lead to lower utility bills and is beneficial for the environment.
Low Maintenance: Due to their powerful flushing action, pressure assist toilets require less frequent maintenance. The reduced likelihood of clogs means fewer plumber visits and less time spent dealing with toilet issues.
Improved Bowl Cleanliness: The forceful flush helps keep the toilet bowl cleaner, reducing the need for frequent scrubbing and cleaning.
Disadvantages of Pressure Assist Toilets
Noise: One of the most common complaints about pressure assist toilets is the noise they generate during flushing. The pressurized system is louder than a standard toilet, which might be a concern in residential settings.
Higher Initial Cost: Pressure assist toilets tend to be more expensive than traditional gravity-fed models. The added cost of the pressurized system can be a deterrent for some buyers.
Complex Repairs: While these toilets are generally low maintenance, if something does go wrong with the pressure system, repairs can be more complex and costly compared to standard toilets.
Limited Design Options: Because of their specialized mechanism, pressure assist toilets may have fewer design options compared to gravity-fed toilets. This can be a drawback for those looking for specific styles to match their bathroom decor.
Installation Considerations
Installing a pressure assist toilet is similar to installing a traditional toilet, but it’s crucial to ensure that the plumbing system can handle the pressure. Some older plumbing systems may not be compatible with the high-pressure flush, leading to potential issues. It's recommended to consult with a plumber before installation to confirm compatibility.
Popular Brands and Models
Several brands offer high-quality pressure assist toilets, each with its own features and benefits:
American Standard: Known for their reliability, American Standard pressure assist toilets are a popular choice in both residential and commercial settings.
Kohler: Kohler offers a range of pressure assist toilets with sleek designs and advanced features, such as water-saving technology.

The Evolution of Home Plumbing: From Traditional to Modern Solutions
Plumbing is something most of us don’t think about — until something goes wrong. From the moment we turn on the tap to the instant we flush our toilets, plumbing plays an important role in our daily comfort and sanitation. But have you ever considered how much home plumbing has evolved over the years? Today, we’re diving into the evolution of home plumbing, moving from traditional practices to modern solutions, focusing on how these advancements can benefit Australian homeowners like you, offering cost-effective and efficient solutions for your home needs.
The Roots of Plumbing Work and Materials
Plumbing used to be basic. It used simple tools and strong but sometimes dangerous materials like lead or copper to meet simple needs. Because it was so basic, these systems were more likely to wear out, leak, and be inefficient. This led to a constant search for better, safer options.
Plumbing Industry Advancements
Fast forward to today, and the plumbing industry has undergone significant advancements. Modern plumbing systems are designed with efficiency and sustainability in mind. Innovations in plumbing tools and parts, including the use of robust, leak-resistant materials like PVC and PEX piping, have made plumbing systems more durable and less prone to common issues of the past.
New Plumbing Materials and Techniques
One of the greatest shifts in the plumbing landscape is adopting new materials and techniques. These advancements have not only made plumbing work more efficient but also more accessible. For example, the flexibility of PEX piping simplifies the installation process and minimises inconvenience in your household, which is a boon for renovations and repairs.
The Advantages of Modern Plumbing
The benefits of modern plumbing are vast. Advances have led to water-saving fixtures like low-flow toilets and smart irrigation systems, significantly reducing water waste and helping you save on bills. Moreover, modern solutions such as trenchless pipe repair allow you to fix leaks and clogs by avoiding the need for extensive excavation, preserving your landscaping and reducing costs.
Embracing Smart Home Plumbing
Perhaps one of the most exciting developments is smart home plumbing. This technology offers enhanced control over your household water use, enabling you to easily track and manage how much water you consume, detect leaks early, and even prevent costly water damage with automated shut-off systems. This level of control not only adds convenience but can also provide peace of mind, knowing your home is protected against unseen water waste or damage.
Professional Plumbing Installation and Maintenance: Why It Matters
While DIY projects might be tempting, the complexity and importance of plumbing systems mean that professional installation and maintenance are crucial. Professionals bring not only the right tools but also a deep understanding of local codes and best practices to ensure your plumbing is installed correctly and functioning efficiently. Regular plumbing maintenance by a professional like Roy Wilkerson who has years of experience and expertise in the field helps to extend the lifespan of your pipes and fittings, reducing the likelihood of sudden breakdowns, and ensure your system continues to meet your family’s needs efficiently.
The evolution of home plumbing from traditional methods to modern solutions represents a leap forward in efficiency, sustainability, and convenience. Plumbing Problems? How a Professional Plumber Can Save the Day
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s easy to take for granted the intricate network of pipes and fixtures that keep our homes running smoothly. That is until something goes wrong. Whether it’s a leaky faucet that won’t stop dripping or a clogged toilet that refuses to flush, plumbing issues can quickly turn into a homeowner’s nightmare.
This is where the unsung hero of household maintenance steps in—the plumber. These skilled professionals are trained to handle a wide range of plumbing emergencies with expertise and precision. Let’s explore why calling in a 24/7 Newport Plumbing is often the best solution when faced with plumbing problems.
Expertise and Knowledge
One of the primary reasons to hire a professional plumber is their expertise. A licensed plumber undergoes rigorous training and certification processes to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to tackle any plumbing issue. From understanding the complex network of pipes in your home to knowing the best materials and techniques for repairs, a plumber brings invaluable expertise to the table.
Diagnosing the Problem
Have you ever tried to fix a leaky pipe or a running toilet, only to find yourself more perplexed than when you started? Plumbing systems can be deceptively complex, and what seems like a minor issue on the surface could have deeper underlying causes. A professional plumber has the experience to accurately diagnose the problem and identify any contributing factors, saving you time and frustration.

Efficiency and Effectiveness
Attempting DIY plumbing repairs can sometimes worsen the problem or lead to temporary fixes that don’t hold up over time. On the other hand, a professional plumber will not only fix the immediate issue but also ensure that the repair is done correctly the first time. This means you can rest easy knowing that your plumbing system is in good hands and that the problem won’t recur.
Tools and Technology
Professional plumbers come equipped with specialised tools and advanced technology designed specifically for plumbing repairs. From high-pressure water jetting for clearing stubborn clogs to video camera inspection systems for identifying hidden leaks, these tools allow plumbers to work efficiently and effectively, ultimately saving you both time and money.
Comprehensive Services
Plumbing is not just about fixing leaks and unclogging drains. A qualified plumber Newport offers a wide range of services to keep your plumbing system in top condition. This includes installing new fixtures, upgrading outdated plumbing systems, conducting routine maintenance checks, and even providing advice on water conservation practices.
Emergency Response
Plumbing emergencies rarely happen at convenient times. Whether it’s a burst pipe in the middle of the night or a malfunctioning water heater on a holiday weekend, professional plumbers are available to provide emergency services around the clock. Knowing that help is just a phone call away can bring peace of mind during stressful situations.
Safety and Compliance
Working with plumbing systems can involve handling hazardous materials and navigating potentially dangerous situations, such as gas leaks or electrical components near water sources. Professional plumbers are well-versed in safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring that repairs and installations are conducted in compliance with local codes and standards.
Peace of Mind
Perhaps the most significant benefit of hiring a professional plumber is the peace of mind that comes with knowing your home’s plumbing system is in good hands. By relying on their expertise, you can avoid the headaches and uncertainties of DIY repairs and rest assured that your plumbing will function smoothly for years to come.
Final Words
While it may be tempting to tackle plumbing issues on your own, the advantages of hiring a professional plumber far outweigh the risks. From their expertise and specialised tools to their ability to handle emergencies and ensure compliance with safety standards, plumber Newport plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of your home’s plumbing system.
So, the next time you’re faced with a plumbing problem, don’t hesitate to call in the experts—they’ll save the day, and your sanity, one pipe at a time.
