sophie: just another normal weekend :)

Eliot rattling off murder tips and Sophie going “I’m scared now” and Eliot saying, in a complete duh tone, “I’m here.” Looking genuinely ‘wtf’ for a second when Sophie says, “You’re what’s scaring me.” Eliot, who’s been taught to see himself as a weapon, having been so effectively retrained by Parker (and a little bit Hardison and the others, but mostly Parker) treating him as if the thought of being hurt while he’s around, let alone by him, is patently ridiculous, because obviously he’s always going to protect them, that the thought of one of the team being scared of him - or being scared of anything else while he’s around - becomes automatically, instinctively absurd. My baby he’s grown so MUCH

I think early leverage Hardison should have had a popular Twitter account and no one else on the team would know what that is or care but he talks about it alllll the time. He cracks a joke that no one laughs at and he goes "ungrateful. My followers would have loved that one but what do I get here? No respect, that's what" and Eliot would respond with shit like *angry huff* "no one cares about your tweeter, dude" and Parker would make fun of his made up friends like she did with the video games. He releases info that he hacks and makes fun memes and has a lot of good tech information threads. In redemption Breanna would find it and be horrified bc its filled with 2008 memes and she would hold a ermahgod meme that he made up to his face and go wtf is this. Also he 100% would make Aita posts about nate on reddit I can feel it in me bones.

i think a house/leverage crossover would be Really Funny especially if it’s something a la the gang tried to convince this dude he’s got some terrible zombie disease. they try this shit in PP in some section of abandoned rooms (they’re doing it at night so they’re not caught) but since house is a Weirdo he’s still In The Building, sees them, starts tailing these freaks, figures out what they’re doing
and then for the first time in his fucking life voluntarily puts on a white coat to barge into the room where they’re all conning this guy (and they’re So worried that. oh no they’re fucked there’s an actual doctor here to bust us—)
except then he starts PLAYING ALONG! making this shit more believable! somehow gets this guy in an MRI but shows him scans from someone who’s WAY more fucked up! possibly even drugs him who knows
the leverage crew does not understand wtf is going on. hardison checked him out he’s a real doctor. they know that. so WHY is he doing THIS
meanwhile house is having more fun than he’s had in months because he can commit medical malpractice as MUCH as he wants, knowing that since this guy technically isn’t a patient and isn’t admitted at this hospital and legally isn’t even here he can’t sue the hospital

General Thoughts
OKAY SO! Damn, what an episode. Really delved into Ford’s issues there 👀 got some bits of Sterling (cannot wait to see more of him ngl. he’s seems like the devil on Ford’s shoulder) Hardison and Eliot duo was iconic. Just two dudes trying to heist but panic horribly together lol. Parker was absolutely adorable (no notes, just me). It will be interesting to see how Sophie and Ford’s dynamic continues throughout this season bc they are in a rough patch 🤧 But I have high hopes

I'm again overwhelmed by the force of nature whose name is Maggie Collins and I'm in love with her phenomenal debut in the last two episodes of season 1. Originally, I just wanted to talk about her phone conversation with Eliot/Adam Sinclair and their subsequent date. Nate's pacing behind Eliot as he rambles about how long it took to just get coffee with her followed by Eliot's immediate success at securing a date is comedic gold. And the way she dominated the conversation during the date by absolutely roasting Nate was incredible.
I had just wanted to scream about how amazing Maggie was during these scenes, but my roommate told me that his theory was that Maggie knew all along. Not everything, of course, but she knew that Nate was involved and listening. I only thought that it was funny for Eliot to score a coffee date so easily since it was so difficult for Nate, but if Maggie knew all along...well, that just makes everything so much more brilliant.
It makes sense, too. Having been married to Nate, Maggie knew his ego would be hung up on how long it took for them to get coffee in the past, so she deliberately agrees to set up a date with Eliot/Adam immediately because she knows exactly how much that will bother Nate. Later during the date, she clearly begins a conversation that revolves around Nate and keeps it there...because she knows he's listening. Every expression and comment is purposeful. Eliot asks her, "You come here a lot?" and she answers, "No. I just wanted to see you" with that expression on her face and that smile and the camera cuts to a close-up of Eliot's "wtf am I supposed to say to Nate's ex-wife" face. The wonky music, the knowing look and body language Maggie exhibits, and the moving shot to the van that the team is in—she knows, she has to have known the whole time.
Anyways, that was my Maggie Collins Appreciation™ rant, but now that I'm fully invested in this theory, new questions have flooded my mind. When did Maggie find out? Did she realize it on her own? How much of it had to do with Eliot/Adam's "ghosting" and the disappearance of Nate and "Portia"? Like, if you think about it, Maggie was completely uninvolved with the Sterling takeover at the end of The First David Job. Parker and Hardison got caught, but the team was able to escape and consequently split up. Maggie doesn't return until Eliot calls her. Obviously, Blackpoole has obtained both of the David statues, but as far as Maggie knows, she verified the "second David," so it's not out of the ordinary that Blackpoole is putting both on display. But then "Adam Sinclair," "Portia," and Nate suddenly vanish and "Adam" doesn't call until three months later since that's when The Second David Job begins following the events at the end of The First David Job. I doubt Blackpoole or Sterling filled her in on what actually happened. So, did she realize? How much did she realize? How did she know Nate was involved and how much he was involved? How did she know that "Adam" was not really "Adam"? This theory makes so much sense to me, but now there are such interesting gaps that aren't necessarily super significant to the overall plot of the last two episodes, BUT LIKE I NEED ANSWERS—

Am I the only one getting some Eliot/Harry vibes in Leverage Redemption? Especially in “A Walk in the Woods Job” it was like Harry and Eliot have been seeing each other but haven’t put a label on it or told the rest of the team. Hear me out.
1. All Harry wants to do is try and help Eliot deal with the grief of losing his friend, invites himself right along for going to check out the guys house and things.
2. He worries that Eliot sees him as a coward. In a lot of other episodes its also made clear that Eliot’s opinion in particular seems to mean a lot to Harry.
3. When it turns out Paul isn’t dead, it seems to me that he and Eliot had dated awhile ago (hello that intimate candlelit dinner goodbye?). Harry knows this and then is ridiculous trying to impress Eliot even though he knows fighting and that isn’t his comfort zone. Meanwhile Eliot is giving him a look wondering wtf Harry is doing - completely missing that Harry is insecure and not necessarily jealous - but worried Eliot is going to go back to Paul.
4. When Harry is caught by the bad guys, he is able to word for word repeat things that Eliot has said to him. He not only pays attention when Eliot talks, he takes it to heart.
There’s more, but those I had to get out of my brain. I’m a hardcore OT3 shipper for Hardison/Parker/Eliot though so this is confusing me.
Obviously the only solution is that the OT3 has an open arrangement and Eliot decides to finally use that agreement to get with Harry who’s in for a fascinating conversation from Hardison and Parker about not breaking their boyfriend when they find out.
Is there anyone else out there who sees this? Or am I just crazy?

A fic I probably won't write
Throwing this out into the world in the vauge chance someone else will run with it- figure that's better than it sitting with all the other bits of fics in a bits and pieces doc until I completely forgot about it. This is just what I happened to get down before the muse ran out, feel free to take it where you will! If someone does happen to write something though, I'd love a heads up so I can read it :)
Leverage/Sandman x-over - nooooo, why brain???
Leverage stealing something from Burgess estate- family of past cult member heirloom??? Something.
Uber sketchy this place
“Nate?[Guys?]  We have a problem”  “What is it Eliot?”  “They aren’t keeping a vault in the basement, it’s a guy”
Or parker finding Dream?
Yep, we are stealing him now
Parker and Dream head tilting at each other
Break him out, bundle him up
Dream too weak to return to the dreaming
Held back from first rush of power so as not to hurt leverage?
Idk, he is stuck now. cause fic.
Uuuuhhh, what do we do with him now?
Dream tells them Robert Gadling and then becomes mr unconscious
Hardison looking for this dude, like- what’s with all the aliases every so many years, hid his trail as much as possible
Finds a rare photo- Uh guys!?  Either this dude’s genes are REALLY strong, or….
Some of them go to pub to find him
Eliot is seeing this guy and like- that’s distinctive this, that’s distinctive that, wtf
Hob is suspicious of random americans who are calling him a name he hasn’t used in years
Reunion!
Angry Hob is angry- what did you do!  What? No! We rescued him! (Angry Hob is possibly plotting vengeance, Burgess should be scared)
Dream gets wrapped in all the blankets
Immortality reveal
Leverage going after ruby???

Seeing the cheating/bot comments and I NEED everyone to know that in the Season 3 finale of Leverage, the team literally steals the presidential election of a small European country. I mean, they stole it from a dictator who funds criminal organizations to give to someone who will uphold democracy, but it is very much a thing they did. Also that is one of the most emotionially backstory-ing arcs (Eliot and his SUPER SECRET PAST HE NEVER TALKS ABOUT MY BELOVED).
(also just because we the fans would not steal this poll does NOT mean the OT3 wouldn't. Hardison would hack Tumblr HQ itself to make his preferred sci-fi media win)
i can excuse stealing from the rich but i draw the line at cheating at tumblr polls wtf hardison???? /j

Leverage/Wednesday crossover where Tyler and Wednesday go on their little Bonnie and Clyde road trip/runaway and Hardison has been checking in on them out of curiosity/make sure they're alright (it evolves as he gets invested and eventually feels like their uncle Hardison who has these crazy kids' back) via a digital age with no privacy.
Nate finds him checking in on them when there's a knock at Tyler and Wednesday's motel door and they both see Laurel come in, Tyler go from relaxed to terrified and obedient, and Tyler bind and kidnap Wednesday on Laurel's order.
Which is how at a truck stop an hour later, Wednesday has Eliot's knife to his throat thinking her father hired him to rescue her. (She takes offense to this and also she refuses to leave without figuring out wtf is happening with Tyler and she won't leave him behind period) she meets the rest of the crew when she notices Eliot's earbud and steals it.

Leverage Immortals - Discovery
When it comes to finding out your entire team of good bad guys is immortal, there are a few ways it could go down. I have vague ideas with nothing sticking so I’m gonna write a few instead of one coherent scene.
Sophie doesn’t make it outside of the blast radius this time. For one terrible moment she thinks she’s going to have to fake her death completely, leave her family friends, then she takes a proper look at herself and realizes that while the burns are going to be immensely uncomfortable while they heal it won’t be lethal. The team accepts, however reluctantly, her need to leave to find herself, but they flat out refuse to let her go until she’s healed. It’s a bit annoying, but its also very sweet. But it’s also what clues Eliot and Parker in. Eliot knows bombs. Eliot’s lost count of the number of times he’s gotten bomb-related injuries, no matter how good he’s gotten at disarming them. And Parker? She likes fire and explosives. And while she’s very good at not getting caught in them she’s certainly gotten her fair share of burns. Both of them are surprised to see Sophie’s burns healing at the same rate as theirs. It’s Eliot who says something about it, Eliot who hasn’t befriended an immortal in decades and has a sudden desperate need to share this with someone, and Parker had been unobtrusively near by and joins the conversation. So now those three know about each other. They suggest that Nate is an immortal in that conversation because now they’re thinking about it and it isn’t hard to spot, but they aren’t certain. It takes longer to talk to Nate and Hardison about it  and longer to realize Hardison’s immortal as well.
Eliot’s pretty good at brushing off the team’s worries about his injuries. It soothes him to know that they care, warms him as thoroughly as a hot shower. But he insists on tending to all injuries himself.  And then there’s a job that goes really bad for him and everyone flat out refuses to leave him alone. And to be frank, he’s not really in a condition to refuse them. Everything hurts and sure this isn’t going to kill him but he also can’t really take care of those cuts that are definitely going to need stiches right now.  So Parker stiches up his back and Sophie orders food while Nate makes sure Eliot doesn’t drop his glass of water and Hardison piles ice packs on a leg he’s sure has gotta be at least fractured but Eliot waves him off and he probably knows better right?  Their attention fills Eliot’s aching body with warmth. Later Parker notices how quickly Eliot is back in shape. She prods him into letting her check on the stiches and when he can’t argue a way out of it he grouchily agrees. Nate and Sophie notice too. They aren’t as familiar with these high levels of damage, but they have a gist of their own healing rates and realize Eliot is matching that. It comes out eventually.
Parker notices an assortment of things, namely quick recoveries, and blurts it out in the middle of a team meeting.
But Hardison? There are two ways to find out that you’re immortal and under the circumstances, perhaps it isn’t a surprise that Hardison finds out the violent way. He’s shot in the chest when a job goes too far south. They rush him to the hospital, keeping their panic under control like they have too. What part of Eliot that isn’t focused on keeping Hardison alive is cursing at himself because he should have been there this shouldn’t have happened but he is right there. He has tried, with mixed results, to save a lot of people with punctured lungs. And it is only because of that that Eliot realizes Hardison is healing. “You’re immortal.”  Nate nearly crashes the car. “You too!?” Sophie shouts then yells at Nate to pull  the fuck off the road. It’s a very messy very garbled explanation in the back of the van that doesn’t go further than “Hardison won’t die, everyone in this van is an immortal, wtf” before Nate drives them back to headquarters. Hardison isn’t dying and his breathing is finally back to normal but everything hurts. Nate helps him get the blood off and Parker puts together a pile of cushions on the couch. Eliot is cooking off the stress with all the comfort food he can get his hands on and Sophie’s gone to the store for ice cream because this kind of stress calls for sweets. There’s a long talk that night but it isn’t as long as it could be cause Hardison wants an explanation but he also really wants to nestle into the safety of his family, the comfort of the couch and food, and the relief that he isn’t dead.
