So I just finished my first Deadfire playthrough... but I have so many screenshots I took while playing and haven't shared yet so have some, I guess.

i think i'm gonna lean into noirvember and check out some stuff i haven't seen. nikkatsu especially (i don't know very much about kurosawa! i'm a hack fraud!). beyond that, i'd love to finally, finally watch dark city, which was crafted specifically in a lab to inflame every one of my neurons. if you put me in a CAT scan and showed me a stained napkin with that premise written on it, i would be legally tried for flashbanging the radiologist. otherwise, i'll do what i often do when i have a genre in mind but nothing specific; go poke around criterion. i wonder what they've g

She did not care. She had seen people be killed, strangers and acquaintances alike. It hardly bothered her, but then again she was never the one delivering the killing blow. Lenora did not need to be the one doing the act when she had the means to pay someone else to do it. Perhaps if she held a knife in her own hands and plunged it into someone, she would feel differently.

"That was an answer to a question I did not ask." Scarred fingertips danced up Ramsay's arm, feigning gentleness until she reached his neck. Her hand was briefly planted around his neck, even giving it a small squeeze --- not too tight. It was like she was checking the ripeness of an apricot. "Will you kill for me?"

Brown eyes widened, unwavering as she stared into a sea of blue. Her gaze alone demanded the answer to her question as her fingertips began idly moving toward dark hair like a sneaking spider in the night. Impulsively, she yanked on the locks, clearly using much more force than she had against his neck. "If I were to point at someone on the street, would you kill them for me? No questions asked?"

Her words were near a hiss, yet they hinted at desperation. She needed to hear him say yes like the way she needed air for her lungs. Lenora's grip on his hair, like her gaze, did not tremble. She stood like a towering rock against the shoreline, unbothered by the storm raging, as she tugged him closer. Their noses almost touched.

"Would you ever kill me?"

Finally, my RWRB ocs are figured out (There’s one missing from my initial spitballing but I’m changing my mind on the FC so gotta wait. And I reworked one of the ideas) so meet

1. Sebastian Van Wyck (Hunter Parrish FC, Alex and Henry ship)

Former schoolmate (and hookup/almost boyfriend) of Prince Henry, he holds the title of the Earl of Wiltshire and remains a close friend of the royal family. His sexuality is an open secret amongst those that know him but he doesn’t really speak about it, which is part of why him and Henry stopped hooking up. However, as Alex Claremont-Diaz starts spending more time across the pond and subsequently, with them, old and new feelings start igniting

2. Princess Calliope Angelos (Naomi Scott FC, Nora ship potentially a June ship but don’t quote me, Nora is the focus)

Princesses Beatrice and Calliope have been inseparable since they were children, even when Bea was in rehab and pegged “The Powder Princess”, Calliope was always there for her. So when Bea wants to introduce her to the Vice President’s gorgeous granddaughter, she’s happy to oblige. And then she gets her phone number and is happy to chat about the ridiculousness of Alex and Henry

3. Kendall Frost (Matthew Daddario FC, Bea ship)

Child actor turned political activist, Kendall Frost gets involved in as many foundations and good causes as he can, which is what led to him meeting Percy Okonjo. He helped out with the Okonjo foundation a lot and even volunteered to help Ellen Claremont’s campaign, and those two factors meant a night of karaoke is a meet cute for an actual princess
