I'm admittedly one of those fans that refuses to believe David 8 created the Xenomorph. Reverse engineered? Sure! I can believe that. The Praetomorph and Deacon classifications exist for a reason. People keep fucking with the thing.
I like to think the Engineers ran into the XX121 naturally, fucked around with their genetic material, and found out the hard way. David played god because he wanted to.
Also, the idea of nature on any celestial body being so inherently volatile to the point of creating the XX121 naturally is a fuck-ton more terrifying than any "false-god hubris" philosophical concept.
I guess maybe I'm a little more into the Sci-Fi side of things than the gore LMAO.

Looking back at it all now, I genuinely believe that the Deacon is the natural form of the xenomorph - prior to any genetic manipulation that took place. The Engineers just held the animal in high regard.
In an act of creation, David would attempt to recreate this beast, birthing the perfected Alien we all know.

On the topic of Predator (referred to Yautja here forward)
It is in my personal opinion that they are queens of conservation and the sustainable hunt. The Yautja dont have a rivalry with xenomorphs because they are a difficult prize, no; the real glory is in saving dying ecosystems from an invasive species.
The yautja also do not stage alien hunts because the risk of destroying an entire planet is too great, engineers do enough of that anyway.
These hunts have become such an intense part of the Yautjas culture that these hunts are highly valued snd bring great honor to the successful hunter.

Okay, so ya’ll remember THIS PAUKING ABOMINATION FROM ROMULUS, RIGHT?
Tumblr media
Yeah, this thing shocked the #3// out of us, eh? I LITERALLY THOUGHT IT ATE ITS MOTHER 😨 (When looking at it again, it was actually breastfeeding on Kay, BUT IT STILL UNALIVED HER 😬)
Well, I had a thought…
What if there was an Offspring that instead of coming from a human…
IT CAME FROM A YAUTJA? 😨😨😨
Basically, a Predalien but it was created like the Offspring.
I currently have ideas of a Yautja Offspring OC, and like what happened in Romulus, it would start out as a normal fetus in a pregnant huntress. However, due to, probably, some desperate measures or Bad Blood experimenting (or both), she tampered with the Black Goo Pathogen and used the compound on herself which mutated the unborn baby.
And upon birth, ehhh… You know what happens. After the pup grows too fast, it killed its mother like how the Offspring killed Kay- 💀
But interestingly enough, I was thinking of maybe making this OC supposedly a Feral or a Super… or a half-breed of the two (a Feral being the mother and the Super being the father, who might be the one responsible in trying to mess with the pathogen).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So here’s the question…
(NOTE: I also know there was a Predator infected by the pathogen in the comics, but that’s different from this.)
So yeh, please help me with this 😭🙏

ALIEN is a fundamentally matriarchal story
I'm aware that fanboys can be fucking annoying, and that's part of the reason why I was hesitant to get into Alien in the first place. (I also blame Reddit-) But after watching the movies, reading the comics, etc. Alien has become a lot more to me.
@oyaapeach I think you might enjoy this one. :3
The first two movies (Alien and Aliens) are the most obvious. Woman fights off a terrifying organism as the rest of her crew dies around her. The second has said woman go through more trauma with multiple different organisms (of the same species) while she takes care of an equally traumatized child after they had both lost somebody they loved. And Ripley kicks ass the whole time, to boot.
Sadly, Alien 3 doesn't have as strong of a presence as the rest of them do. That also happens to be a movie that focuses less on those narratives. I, personally, don't think that's a coincidence.
Alien: Resurrection is also very obvious. For god's sake, she's the progenitor to the Queen of a cloned variant of the Xenomorph.
Even the XX121 is inherently matriarchal. The Queen herself creates life by destroying it, guiding her underlings as needed. There is no male in the species, and there doesn't need to be. I honestly hope there never is. (I know an Alien King has been rarely involved, seen in an Alien 3 script, kid's toys, and exists as an artificially engineered XX121 variant in one of the comics, but I don't think those count.)
This is where Prometheus and Covenant miss the mark, however. I like both of those movies, and while some criticisms are valid, I feel like people kinda miss the point as to why these two feel so... drab. While, yes, these two movies end in far more tragedy than most of them (Covenant especially-) they're really missing that energy the rest of them had. Prometheus was going in such an interesting direction. I thought the violent cycles of creating life (accidentally or not-) and then hating your creations (and/or your creations hating you) was a very interesting route.
The worst part is that they killed off Elizabeth Shaw in Covenant, which is my main gripe with that movie. She was an interesting, resilient, and curious character I would have loved to see more of.
I think we need to get back to the core of what the story is about. I'm excited for Romulus! I can't wait for it! I almost can't believe it comes out next month. Time really flies.
