This question pertains to absolutely nothing, but I'm remembering something I can't find proof of on your blog: did you say, at any point, that the song "Because the Night" by Patti Smith reminds you of NOS-4-A2 from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command for no particular reason? Because I'm either majorly misremembering something or making it up wholecloth.

oh my god?? i must have said that before, because it's 100% true I do associate "Because the Night" with Nos-4-A2. I had to go dig it out of my blog, I said it almost exactly a year ago lmao.

I don't exactly remember why I associate it with him, but I'm like 60% sure it was an AMV, 40% it might've been a fanfic that used the song.

If it was an AMV, I can't find it now. So instead I offer you a different AMV with a song that I also now inextricably associate with Nos-4-A2. it's good you should watch it

If there was a Nos-4-A2 "Because the Night" AMV and it wasn't a fanfic, then either this person made it or somebody at most two steps removed from them made it. The BLoSC fan community was small and tightly-knit.

"Star Command by contact! This is Ranger Outer. I have arrived in the city known as... Trade World," the alien ranger responds, "it is reported that there has been a serious threat. A really dangerous one that is causing many deaths of the robotic residents in here. But for myself have my four eyes open to spot this and bring them down. Outer, out!" Outer now hangs up her call.

Outer was sent to her mission by Commander Nebula, across the futuristic cities of Trade World to destroy the threat causing hundreds of lives of its robotic residents. With the help of Star Command's robotic ranger XR, who he promised to keep an eye on her. They both began scattering around the streets to see if the threat is there.

"Well... seems like everyone around Trade World are out and about by now, wouldn't you say Outer." XR asked.

"...Outer?" But there isn't a response from the alien ranger till he spots her taking a photo of a building "Hey, Outer my friend" he chuckled as he sees her distracted by her camera before taking it away in her hand. "Not into tourist business here. We are in real business against the energy vampire here." The robot stretched his legs due to his short size, allowing him to nudge his elbow on her second left arm.

"Oh, sorry XR, it's just that this place is new to me and it's all so... future looking here," Outer explained, "it's no big deal."

"But yeah, about the threat you were saying. You said that you used to be in his control." Outer walked along with him. By then, a shadow on the wall approached and the only colour it shows is a red eye, and screeching like a vampire bat.

Outer's antennas twitch in alert, to the sounds of screeching, she gasped and looked up at the sky and there she sees the shadow swooping above by her four eyes. "XR? Did you... see what I saw?" She asked her partner. "You mean—" before he thinks, a sudden scream is heard. Making the two run over to where it is coming from far across this town.

"Woah, oh—oh..." XR gasped, making the two stop at a puddle of oil on the ground, leading them a trail to... the victim. She lived in Trade World, and appears to be lying dead on the ground. They both walk slowly, over to her. "Oh... wh-who would d-do such a t-t-terrible, awful to my dear wife" A male robot sobs over the death of his cybernetic wife, wiping an oily tear of his face.

Outer feels sympathetic for him, as she places her robotic right arm on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, sir... but don't worry. We shall take care of who took your dear wife's life!"

"C'mon X," and with a heart of determination, Outer sprints out.

"Get your four eyes out for him Outer, we don't want either to us to be caught." XR follows her around.

During their search, Outer's antennas twitch to the sounds of a bat screeching. When she turns her head, her eyes widened that the vampire figure is coming towards her and XR. "XR! About the beast we are searching, yes? And right now... he is coming straight towards us—NOW!"

"Oh and well if isn't my old dark master NOS-4-A2!" XR spots him with his legs stretched up to Outer's height. "Guess I was right... that you were his master... well, not right now." The alien ranger raises her cybernetic arm, it's energy releases a laser which goes through his chest.

NOS screeches in pain from her attack. He spots the alien's two cybernetic arms charging more energy blasts. "How lovely~ Something new to feast my fangs on to~" The vampire robot now in thirst for her arms, charges straight at Outer.

He pounced her to the ground. "You... vampire! Let me... go!" Outer demanded, grabbing onto the energy vampire's arms. "Not if I can get a divine taste of delicious energy on these new arms for me~"

"Alright NOS-4-A2... your going down!" XR releases a ray blast at the vampire before he intents to suck out Outer's energy off of her right arm. His clawed hand begans to slightly burn by XR's blast, which lets the alien break free from his grasp. He holds onto his burned hand, growling in rage. "You... I'll kill you little one, right after I, NOS—"

"Taste this here vampire!" Outer releases her laser at NOS, but that eventually caught straight in his mouth. "Aw... b-bolts!"

"Hm... lovely~"

Her reaction almost gets her a little flustered... perhaps easily smitten by his tone of voice. "Oh hell no... he's fine." Right before the ranger facepalmed her blushing face.

As NOS flies across Trade World, holding onto the alien-like moth. Outer's four eyes flutter open to something... something that is so bright. Her maroon eyes sparkle to his reddish orange coloured wings, which brings out Outer's moth like trait; attraction to anything that can be so bright. This causes her to almost reach out for his wings.

"What is it little one?" When he lifts Outer to his face. The alien moth's eyes dilate more to his red monocle, also glowing brightly to attract Outer more.

She began to grab his shoulders and place her face on his cheek where she can stare at his glowing monocle, with the alien smiling. NOS began to smile as well, even letting out a chuckle by finding that little smile to be so cute. "You are such a little moth... bold and smart, but those tiny eyes you have~" NOS chuckled when he traces down her cheek "They make you see of what interests you~ isn't it little one~?"

"I... I... yes?..." Because of how flustered she is started to get from his words, Outer just said these words awkwardly right as she places her robotic hand on her blushing cheek.

INFO DUMP TIME. So for the BLOSC robots, I'm going for a more magical knight/kinda stone golem type of deal instead of robots but in a fantasy setting. So XR I went with a TOTK/BOTW route where he has a magical crystal core that allows him to still stretch his body. Whereas Nos, who has legs because trying to imagine him floating in this AU looks hella silly in my head, is an illegal magic knight because there's strict rules on making magic knights. But essentially, magic knights have runes written inside of their armor that allow suits of armor to walk around freely. Pls forgive me how Nos looks. I need to fix his head.

As for the pit...I did explain it in a fake screenshot with Zurg and Aurora but I'll go into further detail whenever I get to fully creating a concept sheet for it.

If I had a nickel for every time NOS made enemies with a character who had two letters and betrayed him when they worked for him I'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened THREE times.
