So apparently people are trying to make waves in the “D&D races are racist” camp again. I don’t know all the details, but it sounds like D&D came out with a new system to integrate more mixed-race options like 3rd Edition had, and Twitter’s climbing out of the pits to be terrible about making mixed race into a game and how it’s leaning into racist and eugenic propaganda.

Like…y’all. It’s a game. Stop ascribing your weird self-flagellation kink onto every piece of fantasy and worldbuilding that makes you feel squicky and then forcing it onto everyone else. Just because you think you see racism in a game doesn’t mean the racism is real, and it definitely doesn’t mean you can make it everyone else’s problem.
