On the Poornima night, Kaisika puranam is recited at the midnight. This pooja is one of the biggest pujas in the year. It is believed that if one attends this pooja, then their wishes will be granted.
4. Ankurarpanam:
This is the festival of sprouting the seeds. The priests perform puja under the tree and rider bed. After the puja, the seeds are sowed in the pot and kept in the Yagyashala. After a couple of days, the sprouts begin to show.
5. Jam-packed:
During festivals, the Sri Ranganatha temple is jammed packed. That’s why, if you are planning to visit during any of these festivals, you must make advanced bookings. You may not get any places last minute. It is best to enquire first and then make the necessary reservations. This way, you will be able to enjoy the festival in its full glory.
6. Attire:
The world’s largest functioning Hindu temple, Sri Ranganatha temple has a dress code that must be followed by every devotee. If you plan to visit the temple during any festive period, then read up about the festive dress code. You don’t want to be barred at the gate, do you? That’s why, take appropriate clothing to ensure the authorities let you in and let you enjoy the festival, without any hassle.

हवन में आम की लकड़ी ही क्यों प्रयोग होती है?
आर्य समाज अग्निहोत्र को जीवन का प्रधान कर्म मानता हैं महर्षि दयानंद से पूर्व भी यज्ञ प्रतिक्रियाएं चलती थीं। अग्निहोत्र को हवन के रूप में भी लिया जाता है, सनातन धर्म में हवन के बिना पूजा का कोई विधान नहीं है। हवन को 10 से 15 मिनट में भी किया जा सकता है। हवन कहीं भी साफ-शुद्ध जगह किया जा सकता है,हवन को सीमित साधनों से भी किया जा सकता है।
यज्ञ साधन
यज्ञ साधनों में संविदा, सामग्री, अग्नि, कपूर, गौ घी आदि घरेलू वस्तुएं प्रयोग मे लाई जातीं हैं। अतः हवन प्रेमी द्वारा सरलता से हवन क��या जा सकता है।
यज्ञ लकड़ी
सामान्यतः! लकड़ी को लकड़ी ही कहा जाता है। स्थान विशेष पर उसके कार्य के अनुसार, उसका नाम बदल जाता है। वृक्ष से लेकर आरा मशीन पर वही लकड़ी पिंडी, वर्गा तथा चौखट, फिर वह ईंधन बन जाती है। वही लकड़ी कभी दांतोन तो कभी खूंटा बन जाती है। वही लकड़ी यज्ञशाला पर आकर संविदा कहलाती है। समिधा यानी अग्नि धन(+) संविदा या संविदा यानी यज्ञ लकड़ी।

XII ASPIRANTS OF BCM SCHOOL GOT BLESSED
Feb. 11, BCM School, Chandigarh Road organized a sacred Havan Ceremony in the school Yagyashala on Monday to seek divine blessings for Class XII aspirants who are going to appear in AISSSE in the month of March.
The students poured holy offerings into sanctified fire amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. It is noteworthy that the havan has been a regular feature of their school life right from the nursery. By ensuring students’ participation in daily havan and prayers, the school boosts their spiritual growth besides imparting them the best training in academics & co-curricular activities.
Divine melodies sung by the school choir raised the energy level even higher. The teachers showered their blessings with flower petals on the students.
The School Principal, Mr. D.P.Guleria, motivated the students to have faith in God’s plans for them, their own abilities and make the best use of their potentials for welfare of all. Mr. Principal also hoped that the students would come true to the expectations of their parents and the school.

The establishment of a Vedic Vidyapeetham for Vedic education and research on it is a matter of pride for the state. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said this on the first phase of the foundation laying ceremony of Vedic Vidyapeetham to be set up at Chichotkuti in Harda district on Sunday.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the construction of Vedic Vidyapeetham is a matter of pride. The new generation will obtain the knowledge of dharma, Vedas that the rishi-munis have obtained after years of penance. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced fund of Rs 12 crore 74 lakhs for ghat construction here. The Chief Minister also spoke about obtaining Rs five crores under Corporate –Social Reform from NHDC. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced to give Rs 25,000 to a girl singers-group and Rs 10,000 to singer Shri Champalal.
Swami Jayantanand Maharaj of Nandva Kuti, Swami Mokshadanand Maharaj of Maninageshwar Gujarat, Shri Roshanlal Saxena of Vidyabharti Madhya Kshetra Bhopal, attended the programme. Dr. Suresh Shastri Bhagwat katha reader of Gwalior presided over the programme. Pandit Shyamswaroop Manawat Shriram Kathavachak, Ujjain was the Chief Spokesman. CMD, MHDC Shri K.M. Singh and Smt. Sadhana Singh were also present during the programme. Sanskrit music band also gave a performance on the occasion.
In his welcome address, Shri Sujit Sharma said that Rs 11 crore would be spent in the first phase of construction of the Vedic Vidyapeetham for study of granths to keep Vedic knowledge intact and for the publicity and conservation-promotion of Sanskrit language. Rs 2 crore would be spent on the construction of 32 rooms. Also 20 Acharya Nivas, 16 rooms, Sabhagriha, Narmada Ghat and Vedic Pradarshani would be constructed. Arrangement of a Yoga and Dhyan Kendra, Yagyashala, Devalaya and Gaushala would also be made.
