Yarn Snail!

Colors on the body didn't quite turn out how I wanted, but overall very pleased. One antenna broke off before its last kiln journey, but will be glued back on.

Me approximately 2 hours later: made a guy.

Made a snail yesterday too actually. Turns out it's very easy to make a terrible snail. His name is Snorbert (short for Snail Norbert, of course).

The sheep's name is southdown, for anyone curious, due to incredible resemblance between him and the southdown in my Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook.

Day Four: Saplings

Liberty and Discovery, soul gold and ocean green, twine together in a balanced ply. Wrapping around them, unbalanced, tangled, and confused, the Candidate Chital, who holds a single seashell. The end of the Candidate's string is hidden in a cocoon of grey acrylic, the disruptive and uncaring Rigour.

This is a two-ply yarn with an autowrapped thread, a "bead," and a single cocoon.

Materials:

Gold and teal fine wool, likely merino or targhee

White bamboo fiber

Grey Hobby Lobby acrylic (it was a GIFT i did NOT BUY IT and if I had a receipt I'd return it or something but I don't. So I'm using it to represent the most evil capitalist machine I can think of.)

proper post for the bisnailxual! this pattern is by CraftyIntentions, and if you're ever looking at one of her patterns and thinking "is that worth the price?" YES . yes it is!!

her patterns include construction methods i haven't seen anywhere else, and i've done a decent amount of amigurimi, and they're combined to make absolutely perfect patterns. i cannot recommend them enough

the yarn i'm using is stylecraft special doubleknit, which is my favourite acrylic yarn

Crafting update! I’ve been playing Stardew Valley for the first time so I’ve been a little distracted, but I’ve got a Bucky Bear that just needs the face and button appliques, and a dragon that just needs appliques, arms, tail, and horns. After that, I’m either making a Winter Soldier Bear, an ace bee, or a crocodile Loki. Or something else entirely. Sometimes I am consumed by the urge to make a specific thing and it disrupts my crafting forecasts lol

Like these little cat usps (pspspsps) stickers make me feel like these little sticker cats are delivering me the little yarn stickers and it is a very pleasant thought 😌
