lottie’s arc in yellowjackets makes me so crazy. here’s this girl who has always been affluent. who could have provided her teammates with almost anything they needed. whose friends ask her for the most important things when everything lottie has is gone. when all she has to offer is her body and a mind she isn’t sure she can trust.

so lottie tells them about her intuitions, she leads group therapy/meditation, she grounds their emotions however she can. and she pricks her finger every morning so nat and travis come home safe, she cuts her palm open on the off chance it will get them food, she makes her body a punching bag for a girl with too much grief and rage to function. 

she spends a year and a half bleeding and suffering and tearing off pieces of herself to save her friends however she can. her friends who don’t even see her as a person anymore. she becomes a symbol more than anything else. then goes home. back to where the things she bled and suffered for are abundant. she gave away everything she had and was expected to somehow still be the person she was before. she’s completely catatonic because what can she do? what is left of the girl she was? how can she go back to being a girl at all when she had been a god?

As much as I am, beyond anything else, a Shauna girlie, Misty's whole "please don't kill yourself we need you :( but also if you do kill yourself we will eat you and tell the entire world you were a gay pedophile rapist" bit was one of the highlights of yesterday's ep

Is this how it’s gonna be after every Yellowjackets season 2 episode? Because I knew cannibalism is a theme in this show. There is no refuting that.

at this point I'm pretty sure Lottie will die next episode and I just..... can't

realized that both the beginning and the end of the happy paris stage of Loumand's relationship has this same contrasting orange to blue/green color scheme. and like. the visual metaphor of Armand literally leaving his cold, lifeless world behind him and choosing the bright, golden warmth of life with Louis instead of killing him like he was supposed to in that tunnel. but as soon as he chooses the coven over Louis, he separates from the warmth like oil in water that was never supposed to be there. and now he's back out in the cold. I'm normal about this, btw.

it amazes me how little plot this season had, especially when it came to the non white character. so much time was devoted to present day shauna, the cops, misty and walter, ben's hallucinations.. and it felt like almost none of it pushed the narrative forward. taissa's sleepwalking, travis's murder, javi's friend, present day lottie and nat's character development got nowhere and honestly i'm just disappointed
