BEAUTIFUL AS THE GLAZE LILIES AND SILK FLOWERS

This is just a one shot fluff story about our guhua boy Xingqiu! AND requests are now open^•w•^!

It was night time and also the day of the lantern rite in Liyue, you're finally get to have a little break from your duties. Standing in front of the beautiful scenery somewhere in Liyue Harbor alone, your hair being blown by the wind and you close your eyes in relaxation.

' does he...hate me now? ' You thought and you exhale sadly, your hold on the wooden railings, tightening. It's been a week now and he was still avoiding you. Remembering what happened that day, your face heating up like a red tomato.

" Xingqiu? " You asked the young boy who was clearly immersed at the book that he was reading while you pick some glaze lilies and silk flowers.

" Yes, my Liege ? " He had just finished reading the book and his attention turned towards you, a genuine smile on his lips, your eyes blinking in surprise and you turn away, cheeks flushing pink.

" U-uhm, what do you think about glazed lilies and silk flowers? "

" Glazed lilies and silk flowers...Hmmm... " he hums a finger on his chin, thinking for a moment, " I would say that they have the same features like miss Y/n, it is pleasing and fascinating to the eye. " He said with a gentle yet charming smile on his lips and you look at him, cheeks heating up even more.

' I-is he saying that I'm pretty? Calm your heart down, Y/n! Calm your heart down! His your friend! For the love of archons! ' You thought, internally screaming.

" Hmmm? What's with the sudden quietness? "

" Y-yes? Uhm, it's nothing! " You said stuttering out and just when you're about to move passed him, you accidentally trip [damn heels] and was about to fell forward, he quickly caught you in his arms.

" Careful, miss Y/n. " He says with a soft chuckle and slowly you lift your head up that was on his chest to glance up at him, your eyes blinking. Realizing the state you are both in, your cheeks heating up again as well as his.

As if the time has slowed down into a stop, his gaze that was once looking through your eyes has shifted down to your lips, he exhale shakily at the close proximity and then slowly his head inching closer to you, his eyes closing, not knowing what to do but to close your eyes tightly.

When your lips were about to touch in a kiss, Xiangling's voice calls out for the both of you.

" Xingqiu! Y/n! "

You quickly pulled yourself away from him, turning around to cover half of your face with the Glazed lilies that you have been holding for awhile now.

" Oh! There you guys are! We were looking everywhere for you two-- eh? " Xiangling who was smiling and looking at you then towards the young boue haired male in confusion. Chongyun who was confused for a moment noticing your flushed faces, the corner of his lips quirk up in a small smirk, already knowing what had occur just now.

" Are you guys okay? " She asked and you just nodded while the blue haired male just cleared his throat.

" I-i should go bring this Glazed Lily flowers back, I'll be seeing you later, A-Ling and Yunyun, y-you too Xingqiu! " You stutter out and flee the place in a hurry.

You exhale for the second time and glanced up to look at the starry night sky painted with stars, a small smile gracing your lips. It is to be expected, that the unusual actions that has been done that day was him thinking it as a mistake of the moment. Just then Xiangling arrived and hugged you from behind.

" Y/n! Happy Lantern Rite-- huh? Why are you looking so down? " She asked in a soft voice and released me while I turn to face her.

" It's nothing, I'm just tired. " You replied with a small giggle and brushed some strands of your hair that was on your face, behind your ear.

" You should take a rest sometimes you know? Don't worn yourself out too much with work. "

" I will and do not worry, I'll be fine in no time. " You glanced around at the people, holding each of their own lanterns that was lit up already. " Any second now, the sky would be illuminated with thousands of lanterns. "

Xiangling smiled and just in time for the two to appear.

" Xiangling, miss Yuna, Good evening. " Chongyun says as you and Xiangling turn around to look at the light blue haired boy, noticing a certain heir of the Guhua clan beside him, you look away quickly as he did the same.

The releasing of the lanterns started, each one of them floating up and illuminating the once dim lit sky and your gaze was upwards in fascination, a sweet smile on your lips that the Guhua boy noticed, his left hand on his back. His been staring at you for a while now with his cheeks heating up, he glanced away with a soft exhale.

The night continues with Hutao and Xinyan's mini concert and people gathering around. Just as the sound of Xinyan's guitar was heard, you got pulled by Xiangling at front so you could see better Guoba stood beside you while the two boys were just behind.

As Xinyan started singing and Hutao rapping, you and Xiangling cheered and clapped in support for your two friends. It was fun specially spending this kind of event with them. As the mini consert ends, a hand grabbed yours and you turn to see Xingqiu, his cheeks flushing a bit and it made you blink in slight surprise.

" Uhm, can I have a moment with you, miss Y/n? " He asked in a soft but nervous tone and you glanced at Xiangling who smiled and nod her head.

" Of course. " You said, squeezing his hand tight to reassure/calm him down. He was really nervous about something and you can tell that already. Years of friendship with him that you already know him that much.

" We'll leave you be then! Come find us at the restaurant! " Hutao says with a giggle and pulled Xiangling with her, Xinyan winking at me and Chongyun smiling making you smile and shook your head. Such supportive friends you have. 

Making your way towards the pond near Bubu Pharmacy the silence befalls to the two of you, none saying anything to start a small conversation. You exhale softly and decided to ask him instead.

" What is it that you wish to speak with me, young master? " You asked first with your gaze ahead, hands clasp behind you. He was a bit surprised to hear you call him with that title again causing him to look at you yet you walk at the side of the pond where you can see a part of Liyue it was only the two of you now since the people were all back to their homes having a dinner with their families.

" I thought you wouldn't talk to me anymore. Are you that...disgusted for what had happened that day?"

" No!" He says his voice raised a bit and you stared at him in surprise, he flinches a bit then glanced away, you can't see his face that clearly so you couldn't tell, he stood beside you, " It's not what you think, it would never disgust me. "

" oh, really? "

" Yes, it was just... I don't know how to face miss Y/n after that..." He says in a low tone and a soft giggle escapes you, a hand on your lips. You faced him and he look at you, confused, you reach out and pat his head.

' So adorable. ' You thought, it was the first time you saw his composure breaking, a new hobby you just unlocked and the corner of your lips quirked up in a small smirk.

" I'm glad. " You said with a relieved sigh and he took your hand then placed it on his warm cheek, such a sweet and innocent gesture made you feel butterflies invading your stomach.

" What's more... I also confirmed something that day, miss Y/n. "

You look through his eyes then he smiled, that same charming smile you always wanted to see everyday.

" And, what is it? "

Without a word, he moved closer to you, his right hand on your wrist while the other was placed on your lower back and just as his face inched closer to yours without hesitation, his soft pink lips met yours in a sweet but soft kiss. Your eyes widened a bit and he leaned back to look at you, a small chuckle left his lips making you glare at him playfully and your lips in a small pout.

" You are as beautiful as the glaze lilies and silk flowers, a pleasing sight indeed. " He said it again, his thumb caressing your cheek and he took a step back completely to give you some space, " We should probably head towards kiosk restaurant. I'm sure the others are waiting, my lady. "

He offer you his arm and you hold onto it, giggling happily and with your head resting on his shoulder making him smile. The trip to kiosk restaurant was silent and enjoyable at the same time considering you have him right by your side, his presence and him kissing your forehead every now and then was enough for you. Upon arriving, your friends noticed the change and starts teasing the both of you while you couldn't help but blush and hid behind him while he chuckles.

Xingqiu guided you towards a chair just beside the traveler who smiled at you in greeting, then he occupied the empty space on your right, taking your hand on his. The rest of the night was fun and full of jokes, you getting teased by Hutao, spending time with your friends and there is also your fully devoted to chivalry and bookworm of a lover. You couldn't be any happier than you are right now.

Happy 2nd Genshin Anniversary for me!

It's been a really long time, right? 2 whole years of daily playing, but I'll admit, I did experienced a little burnout lately, but I'm starting to slowly play again, and maybe later on, once a week? That whould be satisfactionary, to not miss any short-timed events.

Every pic above has some significant meaning to me, such as Xiao, my main dps, the only character i got 2 of in a one 10 pull, got his weapon at 7 pity, the person I started playing for, and whose banner enticed me to game in 2.4 in his shared one with Shenhe. Even tho I haven't gotten him on that banner I still managed to, in 2.7 on his banner with Yelan. Always in my team ever since, same with Venti!

Chongyun, being my first 4* character I've ever gotten, maybe even my first 4* ever? He carried me so much during all of my time as an low-ar player. He's even 90 lvl now with maxed friendship.

Also Venti, my beloved. The first 5* character I've ever got, being with me all this time, even till now! That's a true destiny, if I might say so? He's great and will have forver hold a special place in my heart, my favourite of all!

As for the twins, I think that's self explanatory, isn't it? The start of the story, where I picked Aether to be the protagonist of my story, a long, long time ago...

The 5 Archons together are representing all of the Archons and regions I explored during all of this time. All of it had it's precious charm, with their Archons at the front, it's been an amazing journey.

The Sumeru pic has a special place in my heart, where I were the to it, making it my first Nation to wittness releasing. It was such an amazing time, when wherever you looked there were edits of the trailer with Shakira songs. It was so great! And that upbeat, tropical music fitted perfectly with a lively Nation such as Sumeru. And when people couldn't believe that Kusanali was made white-skinned and a child instead of an tanned woman! These were the times..

And the Fontaine one pic, well it is to also represent the Fontaine Archon Quests that I wittnessed releasing and being in the game up till now. The joy this quest brought me was unexplainable, and Neuvillette! Yes, he indeed is an astonishing man, forever in my heart, with an amazing story of Furina these quests were the best ones so far! And Lyney too! Such a charming magician. With wonderful released characters too, same as Sumeru in fact!

It has been a lovely journey that I hope to continue for as long as possible! This game will forever hold a place in my heart!

So, it's my hcs about Blue exorcist characters and who would they main on genshin based on their personality and my totally "unbiased" opinion because I need to get this outta my system.

Rin Okumura: At first, he struggles with choosing between the twins. Lumine is attractive and makes him think of Shiemi, but he is torn between the two because Aether is a big brother and he can relate to him. Ends up forcing Yukio to play as Lumine, while he chooses Aether. Rin usually plays for Ae, up to Xiangling's story quest and Abyss. But, oh boy, she becomes his favorite then. She is a great cook, with cool fire powers, a sweet Guoba, and a good dad. What else do person needs in a character, anyway? In the squad, Rin still uses Aether, although these days he mostly plays for Xiangling. To get her a Catch, he definetely speedruns fishing. He enjoys collecting for food ingredients while playing the game. Rin is most likely to be the guy who will attempt to make these dishes in person and post receipts on the Internet.

Yukio: He loses a bet to Rin. His twin surprisingly passes the test and earns a decent grade, so Yukio now has much less sleep and the game he needs to play. Unexpectedly, he realizes how many of his coworkers — primarily Mephisto and Shura — are also playing, and that it has now spread throughout the entire office.

He chooses Lumine and, yes, he seems to relate to saving his brother from chaos involving demonic forces. Unlike Rin, Yukio sticks with his main character. I believe it's because he reads too many comments about Traveler's WEAKness, and his perfectionism won't let it go. He has built Lumine to maximize her potential in each game element. To achieve perfection, Yukio farms extensively for the best artifact stats. Sara is another character he respects in terms of personality, and he enjoys playing for the archers, but her loyalty to Ei turns him off because Shura mains her, and he now has a bad association with her. He likes Keqing as well, but he still can't get her out of the banner.

Also, he likes investigating Teyvat's lore and then explaining various theories to Rin in the middle of the night, while his twin falls asleep to this as it is a bedtime story. Nevertheless, Yukio will uncover the truth.

Shiemi: begins playing after Rin and Yuki to accompany them. After getting Noelle from the beginner banner, she practically always uses her. She enjoys her hangouts and completes them all. She keeps using her till Sumeru and Nahida show up. Shiemi still loves Noelle, but Nahida has won her heart in every way. And Nahida's talent is a blessing, given how much she enjoys collecting flowers.

Mephisto: Venti. I will not elaborate. Those who know, know.

Shura: starts earlier than most and continues for a long time. She plays video games in the start of the series, so it's reasonable to say she frequently tries different games. She starts with Beidou as her main character before switching to Raiden Ei. The crucial factor in it is the booba sword, although she also enjoys the way she looks and her two-tone hair. I believe she can relate to all of the ideas, such as eternity, time, and stillness.

P.S. She regularly bullies Timmy, Hillichurls, Fatui and Yukio.

Kamiki: Played in secrecy, but pretended not to care about it; it didn't last long (thanks to Renzou). It should come as no surprise that she adores Yae because she enjoys and collects attractive charas with animal-like features. Izumo simply could not ignore the cunning and charming kitsune character. She often makes fun of Shima for not getting her in gacha. Also, she would look after the teapot and create thematic elements for the characters. Obviously, she recreated Narukami shrine for Miko. She additionally encourages Shiemi to create a lovely garden inside her teapot.

Suguro: Because of Renzou and Rin, he begins to play. At first, mains Chongyun because he likes his design, cultural references, and animations. And last but not least, Chongyun is an exorcist. As Suguro learns more about his character's backstory, he sympathizes with him and finds it ironic, but he also admires his desire to help others and his ability to handle Yan's energy. He's interested in lore as well, thus Yukio is no longer alone in that area since he's found a new victim for his theories.

Renzou: Starts playing at the same time as Rin and Yukio for hot ladies, so he mains Lisa in the beginning. Then he tries and fails to get other ladies. Shima diligently gathers wishes for Yae Miko. However, he gets banners mixed up and ends up with Childe by accident. That single fact serves as the basis for all of Kamiki's jokes and taunting. Despite his devastation, Renzou chooses to continue reading to see how Archon's quest is finally resolved. Unexpectedly, he finds Childe to be a likable character. He starts his quest and after everything goes blurry. He regains consciousness and has a completed mission, Childe lv90 c1, and a polar star. He believes that is Kamiki's revenge for sharing her secret, but in reality, Shima has just become Childe's kinnie, and it's already a diagnosis. Get better soon.

Konekomaru: As his friends play, he eventually joins in. Also a fan of animal-like characters. Sucrose, with its adorable design and endearing nature, is his favorite overall. He is intrigued by the fundamentals of alchemy and considers the game's Albedo quests to be among the most interesting. He tries to get him as well, but he loses 50/50 on his banner. He hopes that the following time, he will at least lose to Tighnari and add him to his collection.

He's also interested in lore because it's related to alchemy. Sadly, he had the imprudence to mention it in front of Yukio. So now he is sitting with Rin, who is sleeping, Suguro, who is listening and thinking about everything, and Yukio, who hasn't had even 3 hours of normal sleep and is only still alive because of 4 cans of energetics, and now is explaining his third theory about the Abyss. synopsis: You've been cursed to sleep for eternity by the evil Abyss Witch! Only true love's kiss is capable of waking you now. How would your crush react?

notes: a little drabble to start the day!

Kaeya

"Kiss them?" Kaeya stares dumbfounded at Lisa who was examining your condition, "Not to question your sources, but... "

Lisa sighs, closing her book. "I'm aware of how strange it sounds, but that's the cure."

"And what makes you think I should take the role of Prince Charming? I'm only involved in this case as the Cavalry Captain."

"You offend me. Don't think I didn't notice how you look at them," Lisa raises her eyebrow at him, "Now go ahead and kiss them."

Kaeya still finds the situation ridiculous, really, as he sighs to lean closer to your sleeping face before stopping, "I'm usually not one for boundaries, but I hope you properly explain why we had to resort to this," He narrows his eyes at Lisa, "Omitting the true love's kiss part, of course."

Lisa only laughs – a sly laugh that Kaeya doesn't trust one bit, "I'll leave that part up to you, sweetie."

Diluc

"The cure calls for a kiss from Prince Charming! You're the only prince we know in Mond!" Amber explains hurriedly as Lumine and Paimon struggle to lay you on the sofa. After an unfortunate encounter with an Abyss Witch (with you getting hit by a curse), they quickly interrogated to find the cure before rushing you to the nearest prince and lodge – which, conveniently, happens to be the Dawn Winery.

"First off, I'm not a prince." Diluc says incredulously, "Second of all– I can't make sense of your story."

"We need you to kiss them or they'll stay asleep forever!!!" Amber all but screeches, wondering why her sense of panic isn't reaching him.

"O..kay," Diluc says slowly, before looking to Lumine, "Can you guide me to where you last met the Abyss Witch? If it can cast curses then perhaps the two of you were affected by something mentally-"

Unfortunately, the witch is dead," Lumine sighs, "But trust us when we say the cure is real."

Diluc does trust Lumine; she's one of the most genuine people he's ever met, but right now, that trust seems to be wavering uncertainly.

"Again, I'm not a prince-"

"But aren't you supposed to be like a king?" Amber cuts in.

"Uncrowned. Uncrowned king as a nickname made by some drunkards in Mond that somehow caught on," He groans into his hand, embarrassed, "It doesn't even make sense." He mutters.

"Same thing! Now kiss them! What if we're too late?" She pulls him towards your sleeping form, forcing him down by the collar to your face.

"Wait-" He pushes against her force, holding himself up, "This is highly nonconsensual and-"

Amber pushes him down anyway with surprising strength, his lips colliding on yours as you wake with a jolt. The sudden pressure on your lips causing you to sit up immediately, your forehead bumping on his forehead.

"Ow!" You hold your hand to the bump, looking around in shock at a red faced Diluc, a smug Lumine, and a tearing up Amber.

"Yay, you're awake!" Amber cheers

Zhongli

Zhongli has heard of a lot of odd things in the very long life he's lived, but a curse that can only be cured by true love's kiss was... well, within the realm of possibilities but it was definitely not something he's ever thought of.

"And you children brought them to me, believing that I would be capable of undoing the spell... Yes?" He looks at the two boys, Chongyun and Xingqiu, as they nodded furiously.

"We're not children! I- We-" The hydro user sighs, "I suggest we hurry, mister Zhongli. Hutao is already looking for them with a coffin prepared."

"This is all my fault... If I could have exorcised the dark being sooner." Chongyun mutters.

"It's an abyss witch, not a ghost, Yun."

"Still."

"Alright," Zhongli stands, patting the two on the head, "Thank you for bringing them to me. You both did well. I shall handle the rest now," He gestures them to the exit as he ponders about all the strange curses and spells he's encountered, nothing quite like this one.

It's not like he doesn't believe in the cure; emotions are powerful things and he's learned they are very much capable of breaking curses and bonds. However... Love? Is such an old god still capable of loving someone genuinely?

"I suppose trying this... True Love's kiss won't hurt," He mumbles, sitting next to you with his hand on your cheek. He lightly brushes his lips on yours, ever so faintly, before checking for any reactions to see your eyes fluttering open.

Looking back at him, he blinks at you before a gentle smile stretches on his face.

"Did you sleep well?"

I suppose time does not define one's capacity to love, he thinks fondly.

There was only one other person you had heard of who had your level of bullshit, and it was some poor kid who lived in Mondstadt. Apparently the events that would follow you were on par with what he’d experience.

And more often than not, your partner Zhongli would get caught in the cross fire. Treasure hoarders would always know where you are. Zhongli would just send them flying with his monoliths, however. Or maybe you’d get hit in the head by an incoming bird, also knocking into Zhongli in the process. Either way, it’s always a little messy in the end.

He was more concerned for your safety than anything. You miraculously don’t get hurt amidst the chaos, but he isn’t sure how long this is going to last. The last thing he wants is for you to get hurt.

He’s tried to get you to do all sorts of things to try and get rid of this abysmal luck of yours. He’s bought about 30 different charms supposedly imbued with energy to repel bad luck. You refused to carry any.

Another time, you walked into your bedroom with him looking like he was about to start some kind of ritual, just waiting for you to arrive. You scrambled back out the door, not having a bar of it, and he had to chase you for a very long time before he finally caught you.

So those didn’t work.

Zhongli was wandering the streets of Liyue one day, simply wondering what else he could do to try and cure this ailment of yours, if it even was an ailment.

His mind wandered to something Hu Tao was prattling on about to do with mischievous ghosts causing trouble for people in their daily lives. He had overheard her talking about this in passing the other day. Perhaps this was something going on with you.

So he sought the help of an exorcist.

Except given his current track record, no way in hell was he going to be able to get you to sit down and stay still for the exorcist to do their work. So he’d have to come up with a plan to keep you in one place.

"My darling, tonight is a beautiful night in the harbour. Would you perchance go to dinner with me?" He asks you. He hopes he’s not being too suspicious to suddenly ask you to dinner out of the blue.

“Oh, yeah sure. I’ll go get ready.” You say, getting up to get changed into something a little nicer. Your hesitation likely would have come from the fact that he asked you so suddenly. He doesn’t blame you.

When you finally emerge from your room, you look lovely. He really wonders how you always look so good. But a little part inside him feels guilty because what he has planned may ruin your clothes slightly...

You make your way to Third Round Knockout where Zhongli had already made a reservation. The two of you sit and decide what you’ll order. He wants you to eat first before he potentially ruins your evening. Zhongli casts a glance beside him, where the young, blue haired exorcist was sitting eagerly. Zhongli previously told the exorcist his plan. The exorcist was to look like another customer for the time being until Zhongli gives the signal to begin the ritual. Zhongli would take care of keeping you in place so you don’t escape anywhere.

The two of you enjoy a lovely meal together, but you couldn’t help notice that Zhongli has been looking a little fidgety the entire time.

“Are you okay? You’ve been acting suspicious all evening.” You say, finishing your last mouthful of dessert.

Zhongli exhales and opens his eyes to meet yours. He looks very guilty. “I’m sorry for this, but it’s to help you.”

Before you could question what he meant by that, a stone structure had snapped around your waist and arms, keeping you in place. It wasn’t so tight that you couldn’t breath, but you certainly couldn’t go anywhere either.

“Zhongli, what?!”

“Chongyun,” He says. A blue haired youth in white attire jumps up from his chair and quickly summons six talismans in a hexagon, which then fly out towards you.

Everyone else in the surrounding area looks at you. There you were with a stone containment and talismans attached to your head.

“Evil spirit be purged!” The exorcist slams his fist onto his palm and the talismans all quickly dissipate. With a harrowing scream from an unknown source, a weight feels like it’s been lifted off your shoulders.

“Wow! That was my first proper exorcism!” The boy exclaims. An exorcism? You were being haunted?

“What?!” You suddenly cry out. People suddenly look over in your direction.

“Ah, so my theory was correct,” Zhongli says to himself. “It was a malicious spirit following you around.”

“A ghost?”

“Yes. It was quite a potent one too. It managed to resist my pure yang energy enough to not run off in my presence,” The exorcist happily explains. “I don’t know how it got attached to you, but that should be the end of whatever harm it was causing you. Very well, I’d best be on my way now. My services are free of charge!” He says as a final note and walks off, barely containing his excitement of his first proper exorcism.

“Oh thank the gods, I forgot to pay him,” Zhongli mutters under his breath.

“Can you let me go now?” You ask.

“Oh! Yes, right. My apologies.” With a wave of his hand, your rocky constraints dissolve back into the earth.

“Right... Now what the hell was that?”

“I suppose I do owe you an explanation. It wasn’t fair of me to do something without your knowledge, but I had enlisted that exorcist on the chance that there was a ghost causing your abhorrent luck. Such events simply aren’t natural... But it turns out it was true. I’m very sorry for doing all this behind your back. I just don’t want you to eventually get hurt one day. The circumstances you could find yourself in could be perilous, and I don’t want to see the one I love suffer so often. It feels selfish since you didn’t want to do anything, but—“

You cut off Zhongli by placing a finger on his lips. “You don’t need to apologize so much. Thank you for looking out for me. It means a lot to me.” You pull him into a hug. The poor guy looked sad from guilt, so you have to show him he’s not in trouble. “But I won’t be able to have anymore crazy stories.”

“I think you’ve had enough for a life time for now.” He replies.

ChiLumi | Hidden Meaning

Okay, so, basically, this takes place in between the Archon missions and before Golden House.

I'm gonna leave bullet points just cuz it's easier that way and I'm so bad at writing. I might make a fic of it later though if enough people want me to XD

There might be some additional parts to this too cuz I wanna put in detail how the Golden House fight went down, how Childe's story mission worked, and every other ChiLumi headcanon after that so yeah.

They may be a bit OOC but this is how I imagine it playing out

So we're clear, Childe has used his charms to woo over many to gain information for the Fatui. He sees Lumine slightly falling for him so he decides to use this to his advantage no one tell the boy he is in love yet, he refuses to believe it

Childe invites Lumine out to run some errands around Liyue. His excuse? The group is running out of food and needs to cook up some more stuff for their future adventures.

His conditions? Everyone else must stay behind, including Paimon. Paimon says no to this, obviously, since she hasn't left Lumine's side.

Lumine, however, says yes.

Most of the team is heavily against this outing, but Kaeya, Barbara, Chongyun, and Xiangling seem to be on Lumine's side, letting her go and convince the rest to let Childe and Lumine do as they please. (Side note: Kaeya and Barbara are huge playing factors in this entire ChiLumi saga)

Childe and Lumine start wandering around Liyue and stop by the beach, where Lumine starts picking up some starconches behind Childe's back

She hands it over and says it's a gift for him. When he asks why, she says she wants to try and convince Childe to join them on their adventure.

Lumine isn't dumb; she knew Childe did this to try and squeeze info out of her, hence why she accepted. However, she decided that she wants to try and convince Childe to leave the Fatui and switch sides.

Childe isn't convinced, obviously, and says that he is her enemy--she can't expect him to switch sides that easily, could she? Especially not when he's made it clear that he, Tartaglia, the 11th Harbinger, wants to conquer the world!

Lumine, however, begs to differ

"How about we make a deal?" She asks. "I'll take you sightseeing around Liyue Harbor while we run errands. I want you to take a good look this time and see the people of Liyue not as people you collect debt from, not as people you need to defeat, nor as people you need to conquer. I want you to see the as people with families and lives, living their days out peacefully... as your average human being, like you or me. If you can do that, at least consider leaving the Fatui, okay?"

Childe scoffs, saying that he'll only take the deal because he knows it won't work. Lumine shoves the starconch into his hands and pulls him along, smiling sweetly. His heart slightly flutters but this stupid idiot thinks the world is black and white and he can't be in love with the enemy so he ignores it.

Lumine starts heading to some stalls and buying some food, sharing it with Childe. He states that he's already done this before, but she wants him to experience it from a different point of view. She leads him to Wanmin Restaraunt and the two feast.

Childe doesn't know why, but for some reason, the food tastes a bit better than when he tasted it the first time he came to Liyue. He looks to Lumine, who's enjoying every bite, and softly smiles.

After paying, she continues dragging him everywhere. To drink tea, to hear stories, or to even watch kids fly kites (and even convince him to fly a kite with her)

Then, they get to the middle of Yujing Terrace

Childe was having a great time so far and was almost forgetting that he was supposed to be dragging out information from her, but when they got to the scene where the Exuvia was supposed to be, where the crime scene had taken place days earlier, he remembered that he was a Fatui. What was he doing, having fun without getting his job done? He needed to get that Gnosis, after all, from Rex Lapis' corpse.

Lumine leads him to one of the altars and says that even if the Rite of Decension is no more, she still wants to make a wish with him. Childe is amused that she would do such a thing and agrees.

She lights the incense stick and lights the altar, making her wish. Childe starts to question her.

"Y'know... I would like to know what you wished for, Oujo-chan. Convince me that the Tsaritsa is wrong about this whole thing... that the world shouldn't be our enemy and that there's still hope."

Childe was expecting Lumine to turn him down, but she answered with her wish.

"...I want to be reunited with someone special to me. We were always attached to the hip whenever we traveled together, and even if we parted ways, I knew where to meet him. I knew where to go. But I lost him... and I'm so scared. I wake up in the middle of the night because I keep seeing nightmares where he walks away from me and I can never reach him."

She has a sad look in her eyes as she keeps continuing.

"If anything, I just want to see him again and know he's safe... and, along the way, maybe gather up more friends. I want to have the people of Teyvat united and happy together... if I can gather more people together, I'd like that... we can go hunt for treasure, solve puzzles, discover ruins, fight ruins... all while trying to find our own goals, we can come together, as a family."

Childe smiled at her answer, and when Lumine asked what he wished for, he hesitantly answered. He began to murmur, searching for the right words, but all he could come up with was the answer he knew all around him expected from him.

"...to become stronger and... conquer the world...?"

He sounded unsure, because he was. Lumine didn't pick up on that and just laughed, saying that sounded so like him. But, truth was, he was conflicted on his wish.

In truth, he wanted a resolve like Lumine.

He wished someone would tell him that he doesn't need to constantly fight and bring chaos.

He wished someone would treat him as a friend, or even as family, unlike the Fatui, who either despised him with their entire being or feared him, whether out of respect or their sheer will to survive in the Fatui.

He wished someone would tell him it's okay to feel vulnerable--that the world was okay, and that he can live as a person. Not as a Harbinger, not as a Fatui...

He wished someone would tell him that he can protect those he loves without constantly destroying others who are loved by their own families.

He looked to Lumine, who started gazing at the stars above and realized one thing and one thing only:

He wished that Lumine would tell him that he isn't alone anymore.

The next day, when Lumine woke up, Childe handed her a bouquet of Windwheel Asters.

When Lumine asked why, Childe brushed it off as telling her to get stronger for their upcoming battle.

Deep inside, though, those weren't Childe's true intentions. In fact, what he meant to say was this:

"When that fateful day comes, beat me... make me change sides. Become so strong that I have no choice but to listen to you."

"Prove to me that I'm a monster worth saving."

my heart aches for these two, because childe in this entire storyline is literally trying to convince himself that he can't switch sides and he's already gone too far deep to be saved

Mystic Onmyodo Chamber: a list of shenanigans and happenings

Hm, what's this then? Is it—a paper doll? …Samurai X paper doll??

Oooh ofuda! Or shikifuda, is that whatcha wanna call it here? Sure. Still ofuda in my mind though.

Wind Barrier? Wind Barrier!! Kaze no chikara, mezamero!

(I immediately get a Lot of mileage outta the Wind Barrier ofuda plunging attacks + my Phys DPS hypercarry Zhongli and his Primordial Jade-Winged Spear. It's Xiao, but Zhongli! It's Xiaoli!)

(Zhongli is hit by the Corrosion curse and cannot recover HP by any means. He only has a small sliver of HP left thanks to traps and Rifthounds. I don't have a Support team assigned.)

Childe… I know you just got here, but Zhongli can barely stand, Bennett can't heal him, Kazuha's a swirler, not a fighter, and the next room's the boss node. I hate to do this so soon, but… you're our only hope. Get us outta here, buddy.

(Against all odds, my week-old half-built Childe managed to carry the team all the way to the next floor, where we finally manage to cleanse Zhongli's curse and heal him back to full HP, just in time before another boss battle.)

It resets? The whole place resets and we're back in square one? Che... this is Menreiki's mansion all over again!

Wouldn't it be fun if [Harunosuke] was evil? But, nah, they've discussed it too much. My money's on good but very, very dead.

(We manage another run in which I got the Phys Dmg Bonus charm three times, which gives Zhongli this glorious stat:)

Tore down constellations from the sky, just to bring you here to me. So 'scuse me if I say you're the star in my eyes, comrade.

…well, that was bloody sappy. But, really. Two hundred something wishes make for two hundred something shooting stars! Just to getcha home at C0!

Aww and he's gone, just like that! I was hoping… never mind. He's in the teapot now. Two hundred shooting stars, and goodbye ain't forever no more.
