author's note: tried to write this as quickly as possible to post before the day ended. i still like it!!! hope you like it too<333 don't forget to leave a comment!

"remind me again, why are you crying for that bastard?"

you were weeping against his chest, while he gently caressed your hair trying to soothe the heartache. you and your boyfriend had broken up for the hundredth time. or at least that's how george saw it.

"he's my boyfriend, george" you managed to say through the softs sobs that were still scaping your mouth. he furrowed his brows, making a confused face that you couldn't see, due to you being pressed against his torso. "didn't you just tell me you broke up?"

"yeah, but I still love him"

'but how could you? after everything he did" he took your silence as a cue to keep asking, but now with a more soft tone. "why would you?"

after his sudden comment, you separated from him, now feeling weirded out by his -apparently unreasoned- outburst. "i don't know, george. all that bullshit of 'the heart wants what it wants' i guess". he huffed, clearly not satisfied with the answer he got, and instead got up from the couch to get some water. on his way, though, you saw how hard he was clenching his fist, making they seem almost white. after drinking a bit, he answered.

"that's bullshit".

"how are you so sure?"

now seated again beside you, he replied, trying to catch your eyes that where looking directly at your hands. "I know your heart. it's not that dumb."

you finally complied, looking directly at his blue eyes. "where are you going with this?". he got closer and offered the glass of water where he had been drinking from. "you know where".

"actually, I don't" with a ironic smile, you said. "please enlighten me, russell."

"i could treat you so much better".

letting the glass on the coffee table in front of the sofa where you two were currently in, you tried to avoid his gaze. "we're not having this conversation again".

"cause you know I'm right".

frustrated, you almost yelled at him, regretting it almost instantly. now with his arm engulfing you in a hug and your head too close to his neck, where you could smell his perfume. you could feel the vibrations in his throat when he started talking again. "yeah yeah, i'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought this out to you today. it's just that, I know you deserve to be treated better, cause you're special, y/n. and I would try every day to be worthy of you, of your love". you two didn't say anything else for a while, leaving you to enjoy the contact between your bodies and think about what he had said. after all this time, you still couldn't understand why he kept putting up with you. so you asked. Some people say that I’m just a lucky guy. To be young, full of energy and to be chosen as a formula one driver for McLaren. But even being so talented doesn’t make you feel complete, even when you’re surrounded by people who tell you how good you are, how loved, how lonely.

By the end of the 2021 season, my attention of how the standings finished for formula two wasn’t important at that time, so when the news of the driver for Williams came as a surprised. Another girl, I thought, wrong, she’s something else. I kept myself quiet when she was around just waiting for her eyes to look at mine, knowing that at the end, her smiled always showed up.

Charlotte is beautiful, intelligent, polite and loved.

I always wanted to know if she feels the same as me when the attention is higher. Nobody can deny how well is she doing this year and what the future may bring to her, I hope something good.

When Carlos introduced me to her I was scared, I feel my cheeks red and my anxiety higher that ever, I wasn’t brave around her but the way her eyes light up when she met someone new, how she talked about her mother, how she always laughed with the boys, almost everything about her made me smile.

The day she was included in the groupchat with the drivers, I decided to text her, I was nervous but she was funny and tell me I was the first of the boys to talk to her. We looked for each other in the mornings and almost every night we spent talking about things outside our carreers.

I was falling in love

No.

I’m still falling.

The problem is me, scared of a non-existing future, but at the same time I know that she is the better half of me.

I looked for her every morning when we arrive at the paddock, hoping she would be sitting in the front of her hospitality waving to every person who said hello to her, cracking jokes with the mechanics as she ate her favourite snack.

Every place I walked into, I was looking for her, hoping she wouldn't be looking at me first as I was embarrassed, of not knowing how to express my emotions, let alone tell her.

I don’t even like coffee but she is like a warm cup of coffee in a cold morning, she'll make me shiver without warning, make me laugh as if I'm part of the pranks she was always into with Daniel or Pierre, she’s the full moon and I’m the stars, not outshaining her, no, I’m 

She was like a warm cup of coffee first thing morning, waking me up and setting me up for day, or like the first bite of my favourite meal that I always wanted to repeat.

Charlotte Robyn-Jones made me feel things I had never felt before.

She invited to spend a week with her dad and Carlos’s family in Mallorca. We spend the day doing many activities with the others, but when it was time to sleep, she sit next to me in my room’s balcony, sometimes in silent, she trying to teach me a bit of spanish or talking about whatever come to our minds, but in my mind was the feelings I have, pictures of us.

My last night with them I was brave and I went for the kiss.

Once she told me that she likes to go straight to the point, she hates waiting, she hates when you can’t tell her the truth, maybe she knew about me. I told her that she always looked beautiful when her eyes shine looking to the sky, how her green eyes seemed like almost change to a different shade. She looked at me with a smiled and told me that the sun made mine look like color olive with a small shade of yellow and she really liked it.

I took her hand and she asked if she can kissed me, I did it. My hands cupped her cheeks, her hands went to my back, like a hug, I didn’t want to let her go.

I learned too much about her, she feels lonely since her mom passed away. How she is still picking her broken pieces even when she is always smiling and trying to make everybody happy. She wanted to grow up into F1. She is scared of dying and left things to say. She hates to wake up in the cold mornings to go to the gym. She hates to feel uncapable to love and being loved.

“I’m not gonna leave you, I promise to love you. Teach eachother to love. I’m here whenever you need me even if I’m thousand miles from home”. 

“I finally see what it means to be complete”

And I kissed her again.

You're going to realize it one day- that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a re-lationship. Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you; it was never about being like the others.

One day, you're going to see it--that happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go. Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself; it was always about embracing the person you were becoming.

"You Can Call Her Phone" Series (George's Version)

“Darling!” George calls out to you from the kitchen. You’re currently folding laundry on the couch, and apparently nowhere near your phone. “Who’s this Josh Do Not Answer on your phone?” His question makes you groan and that makes him even more curious. “I’m going to answer it!” 

“Wait!” You call out, jumping up from your spot to stop him, but you’re too late, speaker already next to his ear the by the time you get to the kitchen.

“Hello Josh!” George’s voice is cheery to the point of disgust and he’s smiling widely at you in way that makes you narrow your eyes. You try to grab the phone from him, but he just dodges your advances. You think Josh is talking, but you’re too focused on trying to grab the phone instead of straining your ears to hear him speak.

George’s eyes then narrow and he frowns, at which you stop trying to grab the phone and just wait. “Now, I don’t think that’s true at all mate.” He then directs himself towards you. “YN, you’ve told this Josh fellow that we’re dating right?”

His question makes you confused, because of course you have. And also, you’ve been dating for well over 2 years, there’s no way he could miss it. “Of course I have.” You’re sure you are loud enough for Josh to hear you over the phone.

“Yeah, she says that’s not true, Josh, and I have to believe her. But also, we’ve been together for almost three years, so there’s no way you could miss it. I’m sure it’s all over your social media because I’m a famous Formula One driver and she’s an amazing lawyer.” The subtle —not— brag causes you to roll your eyes, but it stops you from wanting to grab your phone and instead listen to how this plays out. “Let me listen,” you whisper to him as Josh is talking again and George nods, moving the phone away so he can put it on speaker.

“—She’s been giving me signals, mate. I’m talking sex eyes and lip biting.” That makes you roll your eyes even harder. “So, even if you two have been dating for a little while there’s no way she’s been loyal to you, not with the way she's been with me. Probably fucked half the grid behind your back.” That makes you scoff, and George can’t stop you from grabbing the phone from his hand.

“Hi Josh, this is YN,” your voice must be a shock to him, “I just wanted to let you know that those ‘sex eyes’ I’ve been making at you were actually ‘please get the fuck away from me you perv’ eyes.” George looks even more amused, leaning back against the counter with his arms crossed over his chest. “I will also be filling another complaint with HR on Monday for the harassment after work. I think that will be enough to terminate your contract and get you a pretty long list of places to not even think about applying to after your unemployment.” At that you end the call, placing your phone back down on the counter and then giving your boyfriend a stern look. “And this is why he’s Josh Do Not Answer on my phone, George.”

He just shrugs, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you in. “Yeah, but if I hadn’t done that I wouldn’t have gotten to see you be all Lawyer YN on him.” He pauses to give you a quick kiss. “And you know I think Lawyer YN is incredibly sexy.”

summary: george had been begging you to meet his nephews, but you had plenty of doubts: what if they didn't like you?

author's note: sorry that's it's late again 🥲 day 15 should be late too since I want to do a long one given that it's about my boy mick<3 but it'll be coming anyways!!!

george and you had been together for quite some time now, getting to know him through a mutual friend while you still were in college, and him starting his f1 career. even though it meant that his schedule was getting busier by the minute, he still found time to hang out with you, which lead to your relationship rapidly evolving from friends to something more.

you began dating in 2019, and by the time the pandemic hit, he suggested that you should move in with him so you could still spend time together. of course, it had been a great challenge for the whole time that the strict confinement lasted, but you got to know eachother even more and it definitely brought you closer. on the downside, you still had to get to know parts of his family, like his nephews oliver and amelia.

"but love, what if they don't like me?" you were anxiously picking up your nails, sign that indicated just how nervous you were about meeting the kids that he so deeply adored. "how could they not? george said, while taking his left hand off the steering wheel to grab your palm, so you could stop hurting yourself.

a few days ago he had convinced you to join them to the karting spot where his niece would be racing for the first time. it seemed like a good idea back then, but as the day had come closer you grew more anxious. of course you wanted them to like you, after all, getting their approval mattered as much as getting his parents'.

"I don't know, george, you know them best!" you said, fidgeting now with your hands, and returned his hand to him so he could park the car. once he was done with the task, george turned his body to look at you, and quickly the blue of his eyes managed to calm you a bit, along with his sweet words. "they're great kids. i'm sure they'll love you".

against your worst thoughts and scenarios, it went surprisingly well. they warmed up to you quicker that you would have expected, with oliver hugging you as soon as he got close. amelia, on the other hand, was a bit colder, but you figured it would be because the nerves from the race were setting in. after all, you saw how george was on the track too: silent, determined and focused on his goal. but thankfully, the little race went great for her, and you and oliver were cheering nonstop for the girl.

after the event ended, joined with three very-happy-russells, you all went to eat some ice-cream and enjoy the buzzing feeling of a race gone right, as amelia had reached the three higher steps of the podium, ones that his uncle knew very well after the great season he was having at mercedes.

"you'll replace me in no time!" said george, nonstop moving the little girl that was on his arms while on the way to the shop. "i'll definitely tell toto we should hire you as a reserve driver". at that, the little girl laughed and hide her little face on your boyfriend's neck, clearly embarrassed due to george's encouraging words.

when it was getting late, you dropped the kids back to their home, where their father, george's brother, greeted you warmly, as their whole family always did.

coming back home after a long day, you plummeted on the couch, too tired to even make your way to your shared bedroom. george had gone to the kitchen to make something for you two to eat, but you could hear how he was talking to someone on the phone. when you finally gathered a bit of energy and managed to carry yourself to the cooking area, to help him with whatever he was doing, you recognised the little voices of the kids coming through your boyfriend's phone, when they asked him something that made you warm inside.
