Sunflower: do you make fun of or tease your f/o a lot, or can you not bring yourself to be lovingly mean to them?

Lol I playfully tease, or coyly tease, Atsushi more than anything, Dany is pretty smitten by him and often laughs on his little slip ups or just plain assumption of things, such as how he told Kyouka that you can divert the anger of Dazai and Chuuya by covering their eyes, similar to animals. Like I’m sure Dany would have been like 👀 and internally think “I don’t think that’s how it goes, but okay.” For sure Wan! has definitely given me more reason to poke fun and tease him.

It’s playful tease, Dany wouldn’t ever intentionally hurt him, there are moments when she can be blunt and say the first thing that comes to mind, without realizing it may come out harsh or mean. If it does, she’ll instantly apologize and likely dwell on it for days on end and feel so guilty, especially if Atsushi felt something to what she said. She’ll likely keep her mouth shut after and just... feel so bad ;;;w;;; even if sweet Atsu tells her it’s okay and he knows she didn’t mean it.

Honestly it’s very like me UwU; the amount of times it’s happen incidentally makes me so anxious and panicked and so apologetic,,, keeps me up at night, even when people tell me it’s okay ;;;w;;;

Lily: what would you say is the color scheme of you and your f/o?

I say a mix between sunset and twilight color palettes Ó///w///Ò 💜💙🧡💛

Iris: does your self insert for your f/os source material have a detailed and complex story and character arc, or are they just kinda vibing?

Dany does have a backstory to her! 👉🏼💖👈🏼 It goes really without saying cause before she was fully me in personality, she was technically an oc at the start (with me still there~) and was more Danielle from my LWW. I’ll go ahead and give some information on her backstory! I’ll try and keep it brief and just any warning of abuse she does face:

Danielle was born in the outskirts of Cambridge, in a secluded area of fields and forest around her living. There was a few other neighbors litered around the area, but none she ever met before. Her mother was a Hispanic, non-gifted from the States, while her father was a shapeshifter gifted who traveled and worked from place to place around Europe before meeting her mom in the UK. Ironically enough, his preferred animal shift was a tiger and eagle.

Dany grew up not really knowing much of the world, other than what her parents would tell and teach her. Her gift came really early in age, so it was difficult to really consider taking her to school or meet other kids her age. She was a bit like Yuki in Wolf Children growing up, but of course grew up secluded. She was home schooled and had plenty joys with the stray cats and animals, and just being with her family. When she did want to know more of the world, her parents said she had to control her ability better and then they’ll consider enrolling her in school.

Alas, it never happened; based on how the story goes about Atsushi’s ability being rare, I head canon that any animal gifted is a rare gifted to find and not many possess such gifts. Danielle’s father being a shapeshifter may raise the rarity even more. A group of underground traders and gifted’s essentially found them and tried to snag them all, till her father bought her mom and her time to run.

The last thing Dany remembers of him was his tiger’s roar before a burst of electricity rang and flashed in her home as her mom carried her away. They didn’t get far before another non-gifted surprised them. In the last bit of effort, her mom tried to convince her to run only to freeze up when a gunshot rang out. The smell of blood too heavy and clear in her nose made her choke and her ability raged under her skin. Transforming into a full wolf to attack the person.

In the fit of rage, she did injure the person enough but was quickly subdued by the same gifted that killed her father. All confirmed later when she is taken away to an unknown location she never knew about. All until about 4 years later when rescued by the New Guild. Through 4 years, she was abused pretty heavily in its variety... She was met with a lot of conflicting commands that just made her fearful and silent to even fight back after a time.

Her shadow ability was actually created from this harsh environment. It’s a truly mysterious ability to her, not realizing how much it physically drains her when using it, how she mistakes the coldness when around it for warmth, how it’s slow to heal her wounds and often leaves scars upon her skin, and is the reason a lose of control later when in the Agency. She does eventually master it, granting her a pair of wispy wings that allow her to fly.

But yeah, that is some backstory to her before she was taking in by the New Guild, and training and working under Francis. All before the missions he put her under became too much and she ran off and escaped. Running until she eventually arrived in Yokohama, where it happens sometime between the Canniblism Arc and the Current Arc of the Hunting Dogs!
