One underrepresented genre in Star Wars fics seem to be individual clone-centric narratives, especially in time travel fics, which are my favorites. Not just clone culture- and I LOVE speculative takes on clone culture- but picking your favorite guy in particular, separating him out from the whole of the brotherhood of the clone army and going "okay, what will he do now?"

a lil tip, a lil Suggestion for anyone who plans to have kids or who already has tiny kids....
if you have a choice, maybe don't live in a location where the only thing surrounding you for miles and miles is just more houses :/
like, either live somewhere where there's easy access to nature/outdoor recreation, or live somewhere where there's easy access to a wide variety of activities - museums, sports, concert venues, rec centers, music lessons, dance lessons, blah blah.
maybe don't live somewhere where it will be a huge inconvenience for you to take your kid out to do/see things that interest them on a regular basis.
it is so fucking depressing to be a kid and to almost never get to do or see anything you think is neat because it's Too Far for your parents to feel like taking you there.
honestly like. it's a big enough deal that i legit feel like parents should absolutely be willing to completely relocate if it means living somewhere where their kid can do what makes them happy.
like, if you live in fuckinnn florida and your kid wants to be a rock climber, you better pack your shit up and move to colorado or whereverthefuck. if you live in kansas and your kid wants to surf, move to california, goddammit.
i mean obviouslyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it's not always possible to live anywhere but where you're currently living for a myriad of reasons, but if it is possible, even if it's not easy, please please please don't doom your kid to a childhood of longing and unfulfillment just because you live in the wrong place omg.

Bro just remembered why are so much of my friends opps.
today at lunch UNPROMPTED my friend was like “why don’t you have an accent like your mom” and it’s like it was so out of nowhere for no reason. And I was like wdym so she was like your mom has a Spanish accent and when I was like I don’t really notice it I don’t think it’s that strong she was like “that’s because you live with her”.
that honestly had me pressed bc like first of all my moms English is amazing she is like completely fluent and has not had any problems in the OVER 20 years she has lived in this country. But also like English is my first language wdym why don’t I have an accent of someone who’s esl.

writing this trans john/abi fic exploring john’s relationships with jack from that perspective rly just has me thinking about his daughter who died. like. hypothetically, in this au, she could be javiers. she could also be abi’s again obviously, and im obvi not opposed to that either because the thought of them actually choosing to have a kid and it dying is also really sad to me, but the thought of her being javier’s and dying either at birth or super early on because of all the bad shit john has to endure right around the end of the gang is FUCKING with me like my eyes are watery and im in a fetal position on the floor

the first time EY "stole" those headphones, the shop owner didn't have any proof it was him. despite this, he insisted on calling his dad, proposed to call the cops, and showed very little sympathy for a child literally getting beaten up by their father right in front of him.
-> why?
he felt disrespected bc of how EY talked to him. it stopped being abt the headphones before his dad even arrived. he just wanted to see the kid who disrespected him shut up, apologize, and admit he was wrong. especially considering how many people were watching and talking abt their argument -> gotta save face and restore your credibility & pride.
this is why, in a way, his dad wasn't wrong to tell him to apologize bc he knew that's what the shop owner wanted to hear. sometimes, the quickest way to solve the issue is to give the person what they want (in this case, an apology) and walk away.
