In class session: 28/04
Today we were instructed to go down to Queen street and take some portrait street photography. We walked down to Queen street and to a couple of back streets and went into a shop to take photos. These were the shots I took along the way. I enjoy some of the candid shots I took of my group members because I feel like it captured the essence of the moment well. I also liked the photos taken at the shop (yoyoso) because I thought the LED purple lighting looked cool. The shot of the construction workers was another one I enjoyed in this shoot.

Corporate firms maintain a professional and cordial relationship with their employees through gifts during festive seasons. These are the few things which you can gift your employees:

Millennials and Gen Z love electronic gadgets. Bluetooth speakers, headphones, smart watches are some of the electronic accessories that they will enjoy.

You are wrong if you think that aromatic candles are only for bedrooms and bathtubs! Scented candles can adorn someone’s office desk too. It can help someone relax especially during a stressful day.
Gadget organizer
Often people misplace their USB cables and pen drives. To save their time and trouble, a gadget organizer is worth it!  It’s easy to carry around and keeps everything in one place that’s easy to access.
Accessories
You can give pen drives, power banks, note books and high-end pens for men and women in a hamper. Wallets, clutches and handbags are also great options to gift men and women respectively.
Diwali gift ideas for friends
Gone are the days, when you picked random gifts for people. A thoughtful gift is always appreciated by all.  If you want to show how much a person means to you now, gift them these:
Books
One thing that has zero haters is books! Who can say no to spine-chilling Dan Brown’s thrillers, Sudha Murthy’s stories that mirror life or some Wodehouse humour? There are other brilliant non-fiction books like “The Psychology of Money” and “When Breath Becomes Air” too.  Crossword at Global Mall is where you can find books of all genres. Hop in to find your next read!
Perfumes
Selecting a new perfume is always fun. When you gift perfumes to someone, it is evident that you have experimented with a wide range of scents from various brands! To make this choice easy, here are a few suggestions for you. Chanel no. 5 with may rose, jasmine and citrus, Daisy from Marc Jacobs with wild berries, white violet and jasmine and Dior’s J’ador in pear, melon and peach scents. If your friend loves the exotic aromas of flowers, these are your best choices!  Everyone loves getting branded perfumes, and it’s a clearly something people would love.

They say a picture is worth a hundred words. If you want to give your friends a gift that is mysterious and has some meaning, this is how you can do it! Artworks also enhance the style and appearance of the room, which is a win-win situation.

This festive season is more fun when you pick up amazing gifts for your family. If you are doubtful, here are a few things your family will love.

If your grandparents are fans of miniature god idols, you can give them clay models of Lord Ganesha and Krishna! By choosing God's idols in clay, you not only win their hearts but also break the polluting chain!

Test Print of Packaging dieline.
Before heading to class this session, I needed to make sure that I was happy with the scale of the packaging. One of the few things that we as a group had realised was that the packaging would have to be printed out on two A3 papers which meant that the dieline needed to be split into two separate pages.
Tumblr media
My personal thoughts was the colour. Not too keen on the orange. Definitely different to what I expected. I might try reversing the colours.
Front side definitely doesn’t strike too much to me. Went to get feedback in the Packaging workshop. Others found the coloured packaging the most striking as well as its scale. The crochet hook from a distance might be seen differently so I’ll remove that. More bolder or emphasis towards the target market will make it stand out even more.
I spoke to Byre Aish, an hour before the session, talking about the portfolio and the packaging. She pictured it in stores like YOYOSO and type if I went with some sass copywriting or the design in a punny way as I was explaining the name ‘bundle bunny’

Field Research - Adverts part II
Wasn’t able to go to Spotlight cause they closed! I’m only available after five but most stores close at 6. But I went to the Warehouse and took a bunch of photos although some weren’t relevant to the brand, I found some cool interesting ones.
The Halloween one with the cut outs is fun. But again, wouldn’t be too relevant to the target market.
Three places I do want to check out that fits best with the brand is Typo, Spotlight and YOYOSO. I think the Robo Fish advert I think fits the best with the packaging as it is designed for their cube shaped products.

I found these bootleg Sailor Moon wands at Yoyoso, which is a local rival of Miniso (Since we don't have any full sized Daiso.) They were $12 (New Zealand) each. I've literally never seen Sailor Moon wands in the wild at all before, since we don't have HotTopic or Gamestop or anime conventions where I live.

Plushie!
So I just discovered that my new mauve Shiba plushie (the one I got recently matching the mint one @animecat33 has) is AMAZING for my sensory issues.
It's just the right amount of squishable, the right size to hold or even use as a pillow and the PERFECT soothing texture.
Tumblr media
If you happen to have sensory overload issues, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, or if you are in the autistic spectrum and have touch stims then I highly recommend looking up Yoyoso plushies (they have all sizes from keychain to toddler size). Their slimes and small squishy toys are great too.
Yoyoso is a Korean product chainstore that has recently been internationalizing itself and can be found online as well as in malls around Asian and Western Europe (particularly Korea, Philippines, India, Portugal, Spain, UK and so on).
