Cute and kind girls in anime are very popular, but boys, unless they are the protagonist are not so much. 3/7 are protagonists in this picture. It was very difficult to find a good picture of Armin and Alphonse. This time is a meme. I wanted to add Alibaba but then I thought he is not that sweet as the rest nor popular (but he is implicitly here in the description). Who is your favorite boy? Mine is probably Yukito since he's been always my stereotype of perfect partner (but I have to admit Al and Yuki are very similar to him). Yuki and Yukito are almost the exact character, that's very odd, but they are in different contexts. Two Yuki and Kyo scenes removed from the anime series

I know they had to discard scenes in the anime due to episode limitation, but I seriously wish they showed these scenes that occurred after Yuki and Kyo had their last fight because it truly showed the true personality of Yuki-- Yuki the jerk 😂😂😂😂

Spoilers below!!!!

I really wish some people would just stop.

If people ship Yuki and Tohru, let them ship Yuki and Tohru, and stop saying Kyo and Tohru is the ‘superior ship’ same with Yuki and Machi.  That’s YOUR opinion, let people ship what they want.

 If you ship Kyo/Tohru and Yuki/Machi more great! There is plenty of Kyo and Tohru shippers on the internet, as well as Yuki and Machi, you don’t have to bring down other shippers at all to ship what you want (it doesn’t even matter anyway since those ships are canon) not only that, people can interpret media how they want.

And for crying out loud, stop with the whole ‘he loved her like a mother’ thing as a point for not shipping them. We GET it, stop constantly bringing it up as a reason not to ship it, not only are you spoiling people who haven’t finished Fruits Basket, you are just making some people in the fandom feel uncomfortable, let people ship what they want, that is the whole point of SHIPPING.

PS: Just to make it clear: I am NOT talking about the friendly people on the internet who have been respecting others' opinions. I am talking about people who have been saying comments like this: ‘Kyoru is the superior ship’ ‘He loved her like a mother’ ‘Yuki was never even an option’ ‘Kyo is superior’ ‘People who ship Yuki/Tohru in general have bad taste’ (they know who they are...probably anyway...)

As said before on a different post: I know not every Kyoru shipper or Yuchi shipper says things like this, there are many people out there who are so so friendly, and I appreciate you guys, that respect other peoples’ ships and opinions,  I am just addressing this for the people that are not. 

Why am I even bringing this up?

Just been seeing a lot of people on the internet saying this or something similar, and I’m just tired of it and had to say something. 

I try not to let it get to me, but after seeing it everywhere it just hurts.

I think it’s time to delete TikTok again.

Honestly, some people are just so toxic, it’s not just TikTok it’s other sources of media also, and it just makes me sad. 

It makes me really not want to like the fandom of Fruits Basket even though I know there are many people out there who do respect ships, and other people’s opinions.

I really shouldn’t let a few bad apples spoil my fun but here I am again, ranting about it on tumblr...

Thank you to the people who do respect other peoples’ ships and opinions and try to support each other, I really appreciate you.

Just finished watching Fruits Basket huhu. I thought it was a light hearted and rom com kind of anime, with just guys turning into animals when hugged. I thought it would be a good breather from AoT atleast. Guess there's no such simple anime like that 😅. It turned out to be more twisted and heavy than I thought. Nonetheless, I may have found one of the best love stories in anime so far (between Yuki and Tohru). Made my heart flutter and break at the same time and actually had to rewatch the whole anime to make sense of how Yuki really felt and it made sense eventually given the short duration of the story. Tohru became and was his first home (and he eventually moved out, like a child growing up and out making his own choices and decisions).

But then as I thought deeper, in the end, when we're ready to settle down, isn't that the relationship we all strive and hope for? A secure, comfortable place we could unapologetically be ourselves without the fear of being judged, a place of understanding, acceptance and continuing growth. And I actually really liked how Yuki helped Tohru in her studies and can be able to make her think more deeply (to not be too gullible) about various things. A certain aspect in which I think Tohru lacks. And Tohru in turn untangled Yuki's deeply knotted dark thoughts and emotions which helped him to get out of his shell and eventually come to terms and shake hands with his fears and insecurities. I was really rooting for them, but I think maybe if they met at a later time, or if the story progressed longer they could have better sorted out their feelings and eventually would have ended up together? I don't know haha I just think their personalities really fit together almost perfectly, they're very complementary. But then again, that's just my personal opinion and preference.

P.S. Or maybe I'm just not a fan of Kyo's character for Tohru, his hot headedness and his outward display of hate/irritation 😅. But maybe Kyo eventually changed after he let go of his guilt and insecurities? Yuki just felt more in control and though a bit self-destructive, always choose to sort his feelings out within himself before acting on things. Both of them have gone through a lot and I just personally love how Yuki silently handled his inner problems with the help of Tohru.

Edit: It's also just a big mystery to me how Yuki never was able to openly talk about how he was the blue-hat kid who helped Tohru find her way back home. I always thought that was one of the things he kept a lid on but would eventually be revealed by him in the end but he never got to do so. Was is not relevant anymore or did he think it would still have some kind of bearing so he chose not to personally tell it anymore?

Kyo ran his hands over the wisteria, watching it ripple under his fingers, thinking.

‘How much did you hear?’

Yuki appeared by his side.

‘All of it.’ he replied grimly.

‘Kyo-’

‘Stand here.’ Kyo took him by the shoulders and moved him in front of the flowers, holding up his phone.

‘You want to take a photo now?’ Yuki went pink. How did he get so nervous about pictures when he was so cute?

‘Purple is your colour.’ he said simply, staring at his face through the phone. The wisteria looked nice against his silver hair and pale skin.

‘We weren’t trying to keep it from you. I was going to tell you later, in private.’ Yuki kept talking as Kyo held his thumb down and took a burst of about 20 photos in one. He’d sort through them later.

‘It’s fine.’ He put his phone back in his pocket.

‘Is it?’

‘I mean, not really…even Shishou thinks that’s where I’m going.’

‘He doesn't want that for you though!’ Yuki closed the gap between them, squeezing his shoulders, ‘he's going to fight it, you must know that.’

‘I guess…at least if it doesn’t work out... with Isuzu here, he won’t be lonely.’

‘Kyo…’ Yuki grabbed his hand and pulled him up and into the shadows of the practice room, hugging him tightly like he thought he was going to disappear.

‘Are you all right?’ Kyo asked, confused.

‘No…’ Yuki mumbled into his shirt, ‘just, can we stay like this for a bit?’
