• Based this on one of Ace's voicelines and yes it's the first line he said in this short fic.

• I don't recall any info given to us abt Ace's mom so this is my hc abt Ace's relationship with his parents (not canon)

"Shut up! You're the last person I want to hear that from!", Ace shouted loud enough for anyone to hear, though it was just you and him in the room. You were trying to comfort him when news came from his brother that their father would have to leave for a couple of years.

It was his father who watched over him til the age of 16. It was his father who would make him laugh or smile whenever he was taught magic tricks and sleight of one's hands. When mother wasn't there— he stops himself from thinking any further. It wasn't that he was uncomfortable talking about his mother ... It's just that he couldn't really remember anything about her except her smiles on old photographs.

You often wondered how the redhead would react when angry and it seems you got the answer to that burning question.

Red eyes glaring at you as if he hated everything about you but there was a tinge of sadness hidden in those eyes.

You lift a hand to place it firmly on his shoulder but he inched himself away.

"Ace ... I'm sorry. I was trying to—", you began but he turns his head away from you like a stubborn child.

"You'll leave eventually ...", he whispered under his breath. You finally realize why he said what he said ...

He was afraid.

He was afraid of you leaving.

Why did you even tell him that it was all right and his father would be back in a blink of an eye.

Ace was thinking of you leaving and the situation with his father triggered the fear itself. He knew very well he'd never see you again once you left twisted wonderland.

He wouldn't hear your voice anymore. Wouldn't get the chance to laugh with you or discover new things or even develop the feelings he harbored for you ever since the series of events that occurred in and out of the university made you closer. Thicker than thieves. Though the only thief here was you. You stole his heart before he could even steal yours and he was perfectly fine with it.

But now the emotions he had kept in check started overflowing. Ace didn't know what to do. He was scared you would think he was overreacting or he was simply acting like a child.

The redhead slowly turned his head to look at the expression written on your face. He was expecting disappointment or any other negative expression known to man and fae yet here you are ... Looking at him with a soft smile on your lips.

His eyes widened, filled with confusion as to why you were smiling. You let your hands cup his cheeks as tears began to stream down your face.

"Silly. You silly boy.", The first words came out from your throat as you broke into sobs. You remember all the times he was there when no one was. All the times he made you laugh when you felt blue. Every single moment he held your hand in his or whenever he wiped away your tears.

Leaving twisted wonderland would not only affect him but you as well. He didn't know this. Yet.

"I won't leave you.", You continued as you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer. He let out a sigh of relief whilst he reciprocated the embrace by enveloping both arms around your waist.

"You'll ... You'll miss me if you leave.", He managed to say to which made you let out a laugh.

It was Ace's favorite sound in the whole world.

wow youre flustering me here anon. wuya rlly is always on my mind, esp since i draw and roleplay him on occasion with friends. he isn't a self insert or a yume, but he does hold a lot of deeply personal topics within his character. and has aspects of myself and my personality within his writing and profile.

and uhmm i have some!!

wuya really likes kalim's company and energy. he loves jade's genuine interest and appreciation for nature. he thinks rook is hilarious, and goes out of his way to taunt and play " cat and mouse " with him.

my main ship with wuya is with floyd ( a ship my friend group has taken to calling floya or floyer ). it's a pairing ive given a lot of thought to, and i've dove pretty deeply into the dynamic and chemistry there. i don't ship a lot usually as is since i'm so particular about these things. but i actually made a pretty neat little chart for characters and how wuya feels about them in general: here.

i LOVE oc x canon.

when i was pretty young, and did actively join and counted myself part of fandoms in general-- i was met with a lot of negativity for it. i'm so happy to see oc x canon is a lot more accepted and encouraged now. and because of my own experiences i really push and support people who wanna do what they wanna do. so what if you ship your funky little brain child with your favorite character? it isn't hurting anyone, and it's just another way to show you love and appreciate that character.

lastly, yes. it is hard. i consider myself pretty good at it, i've got a lot of rp experience under my belt. and i do think i've developed a skill for reading particular sorts of characters, and capturing their canon well. it's always a challenge, but in the end so long as you're happy with how it sounds... i think that's all that matters.

ahem, here we go:

ok history behind the name

sooooo before i used to change names like 24/7

then when i got into genshin, i went to the genshin amino, (where i was originally Lloyd, because, reasons.) and i got invited to a chat, and i didnt want to keep changing name so they could recognize me easily.

then on a random day i was watching videos on like characters voicelines and i was watching one on venti, as he was my favorite character back then(maybe he still is? i relate to him a lot).

So when i heard this part of this voice line: “Celestia... I'm not sure even I could fly that far. In any case, the water there tastes foul and the fruit is bland” i got an idea for a username- since his favorite food is apples, and it’s a fruit and the “fruit is bland” in celestia i thought of a perfect name:

“Apples from celestia taste ew” (i was about to criticize it on being long, but then remembered that my present name is long too)

so there i was, chilling in the chatroom when someone called me “Apples” for short, and like that was cool and i wanted to include other names of characters in my name but it was too long, so i asked them all, “hey would you guys still recognize me if i was just APPLES?” and they said yes so i was just apples for a while

(well like, variations of apples is [characters name]) then i changed it to Apples-Sirin (almost went with Apple.S) because i really liked a character named sirin, so more variations of Apples-sirin is [character name] came along.

eventually i grew out of the genshin phase a bit so i changed my name to just “Apples”

after a long while i changed my name to wade, since most people from the chat weren’t online anymore (ALSO IT GOT FUCKING DELETED IM STILL PISSED ABT THAT) and the two major people i made friends with knew me and we were in our own small group chat.

so people called me Wade, obviously, and that prompted me to changing my name on other platforms to “AppleWade”, since i liked the name wade quite a bit. then after another while i decided to remove the wade from my name,

and add “YumeYume” in the front instead, i got it from like a game event (project sekai, of course) because “yume” meant “dream” and i guess i have dreams, and “yumeyume” means something, i forgot ..but it also can mean “effort” when you spell it in like..kanji i think. and i want to put effort in my work, i guess.

oh and then in the the genshin amino thing i changed my name to leo because..,leo of course. and then while spelling Yumeyumeapple, i wanted to include “leo” in it because yeah and then i realized:

“apple” take away “app” you have “le” just add an o and it’s “leo” so appleo. apple leo. yumeyumeappleo. Tada.

1\ok so her seems to me as an inzuman name (correct me if I am wrong) while her mother has a shenezian name does have , why? Is it perhaps because she a father who was from inuzuma or her mother just named because she liked it ?

AHHHH ANON YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY!!! I was so nervous posting my oc and everything so the fact someone took the time to read it and really liked it?? 😭💞 I’m so glad you asked these questions, and I shall answer 😏

1. Yes, Yume’s name is an Inazuman name! Her mother has more of a Snezhnayan name like you mentioned. This is because her mother has always been fond of Inazuma culture and the region itself, and she would often visit Inazuma when she traveled Tevyat. She was delighted when she had Yume, because of the things going on in her life she was worried she wouldn’t be able to have a child. That’s the origin of Yume’s name, because Yume means ‘dream’ in Japanese and having Yume was/is a dream come true for her <3 Her mother may or may not have had her child with an Inazuma man psst, she totally did!

2. LOL RESIDENT GRANDPA I LOVE THAT! The short figure is actually Scaramouche because I’m Scaramouche fangirl and wanted to have his story and my Oc’s tied together in some way. Notice how she has a bunch of voice lines on Scaramouche, and even threatens the traveler if they dare lay a hand on him? Lol.

3. I’ve been thinking about what I want her relationship with the traveler to be. Since the traveler canonly has many people fall for them I’m thinking Yume is or isn’t one of them but it’s the opposite. Idk if that radiates “mc energy” or not lol but imagine reverse like the traveler likes Yume, doesn’t have to be romantic, and Yume like’s them but it’s just that? Idk kinda like Dainsleif and Traveler if that makes sense. Yume knows the truth of the world via the Tsaritsa, so traveler is interested in what knowledge Yume holds but Yume isn’t going to give away that knowledge so easily, especially to an outsider. I think it’s a cute idea so.. 👉👈

Traveler (Lumine): She’s so cute! Her voice is really soothing to listen to. I emphasize with her drive to find her brother… I have a soft spot for familial love, hehe. I enjoy her company, she’s really reliable! I just hope she isn’t taking on more tasks than she’s able to complete. If she ever needs help with a commission, all she needs to do is ask and I’m there!

Traveler (Aether): He’s so handsome but no one is allowed to tell him that. No one. *Ahem* I really like his long braid and golden hair *dreamy sigh* He’s really dependable and I find myself relying on him every now and again, but I always make sure to repay his kindness in any way I can! I know I’m not the only one who relies on him from time to time, so I hope he’s taking care of himself while he searches for his sister.

Paimon: One minute I like her and then the next minute I want to see how tried and true her emergency food title is… I wonder if she tastes sweet…

Yume-chan, your latest post on the self aware genshin characters made me wanna share some experiences I had while playing genshin lolol.

First, where was an incident where I accidently let Kazuha get hit by an enemy and when I said 'sorry Kazuha' and he followed with 'its fine' and that freaked me the he'll out.

Another thing that happened (just recently) was when I was getting bored of the game and said aloud that if I pull albedo, I'll play a while longer.

This is how they get you—How they’ll get you to care for them, even if both the player and character know they’re just a bunch of pixels who can’t survive without overwriting their code. They obviously can’t be with you in real life so, for now—They do everything they can to keep you playing their game for a little longer. You yawn once, muttering about how tired you are, and how you should probably get to bed soon…Your character panics on the inside so QUICKLY!!! They have to move. Rig the wish banner system, the artifact rolls, make them think that they unlock a new voiceline, ANYTHING! Give Player Darling what they want!

Fun fact: I started drawing this two months ago as a joke but then it started going well and I really love how it turned out! As you may have noticed its half art and half edited. I used Cater's card as a base of sorts and drew in Riddle and Yume and made all the other edits myself! I also have a short birthday story that I wanted to share, a vignette of sorts, that goes with this Groovy. But it's still in the works. Since this is the first birthday card I wanted to focus on some of Yume's first friends at NRC; the Heartslabyul gang! :D I'll try and get it out as soon as I can ^-^!

I made this such a long time ago! Very early into make our Yuusona's I joked with @bunnwich that Yuuta would sound like Riku and Yume would sound like Sora from Kingdom Hearts. (I even got them to start watching the game >:3). I made this one before Yuuta's just as a joke but I actually really liked how it turned out, which spurred me to make Yuuta's (and Yuuuhi's ;), maybe I could post that in the future too.) Some of the lines are pretty obvious and out of place but I still like it!

I imagine Yume would be super sus of Fellow and be along to take care of Ortho, really stepping into the "big bro" role and trying to advise everyone to be careful. In a weird way Fellow's magic kinda works on Yume the same it does for Kalim. As in...not very much. Yume is an optimist by choice and realist by nature. So while they try to hope for the best, they understand that the world isn't so kind. I think Fellow gets frustrated, thinking Yume is just as la dee da as Kalim; but then they start noticing how wrong things are very quickly and keep trying to get the others to notice as well.

"Camping huh? I don't think I've ever been, but I'll do my best to take pictures!" [ ◉¯]

I wanted to draw something for the camp event because it's actually one of the event with the best story to me!

It's a lot of fun! ___〆(・∀・)

I noticed that some of the brands for clothing are based on animals so I leaned into the bear theme for Yume (Using the classic version of the Winnie the Pooh's color palette) It's one of my favorite outfits I've drawn Yume in so far! I plan to add voice lines to this post later but for now here's the art!

Tap 4: Ruggie gave me some of his fish earlier and Yuuta found some berries for me to eat. I didn’t even tell them I was hungry, what a weird 6th sense they have?

Tap 5:  *whispering* Pst! Hey I brought some marshmallows with me, if you don’t tell Vargas I’ll let you have some!

yume! what do you think of itto and gorou now that they're both out in genshin? i got them both and i'm still chuckling at how their personality is so drastically different 💀 i wished them goodnight in my serenitea pot and gorou was like, "Goodnight traveler! I'll protect you!" whilst itto was just like, "PSHNAW SLEEP??? LETS GO PLAY HIDE AND SEEK RIGHT NOW, BECAREFUL I'M GOING TO GO FULL ONI-" like itto please what do you mean??? i feel so bad for the traveler trying to sleep

This is a very late reply, sorry! But congratulations on getting them both! I also have them both, with a cost of an arm, a leg, and my primo funds for other characters and put them in the same team as Albedo and they are so 🤌✨ Geo is slowly becoming my favorite element ♥︎

Itto is such a fun character to have—Like he’s drastically different from every other character and he just puts a smile on my face whenever he does or say something ♥︎ I love how he treats us like family, and acts like that older brother who playfully bullies his little siblings, but is willing to fight god if anyone dares to harm them lol Also, he’s dumb. I love that in a man…And he’s big too—

Gorou is ａｄｏｒａｂｌｅ I’m so glad mihoyo finally added kemono-mimi male character in the game and I hope they make more because I’m willing to bust a hole in my wallet for them lmao He’s mature, and like a dog—Very loyal and is willing to take responsibility for his troops. But reading through his hangout events, stories, and voicelines, the game loves to emphasize on the fact that even though he seems that way, we still can’t forget about the fact that Gorou is still young and is currently at the peak of his youth. So, of course—Sometimes he gets impatient, makes impulsive decisions, doesn’t think of the consequences, and other people worry for him because of that recklessness. He also has those childish and affectionate needs that he tries to repress like wanting someone to groom his tail, pet his ears etc. 🥺 poor boi. But overall, I love that little spice to his personality 👀 It’s very charming (UwU)

Dude Xingqiu has a voiceline about his hobbies and it made me scream

"Evidently, my hobby is reading. I'll read anything and everything. ...What's that mischievous grin for? Oh. That's between the two of us, okay? It's not appropriate to discuss it out loud. There's no point in bringing it up anyway."

According to the wiki, it refers to Xingqiu's "interest of becoming a hero like the ones in the martial arts novels he reads."

But I swear my dirty mind read it differently!! 😂
