Alphinaud for character asks plz. :)

First impression

God, who let this child out of his room? The way Alphinaud acted when I meet him in ARR reminded me of a child. One that has been home tutored all his life in politics and international relations, but never on stranger danger or looking both ways to cross the road. He is pretty much the embodiment of a lot of kids that went to my old school back in Vietnam.

This means for a good chunk of time in ARR, I was more than ready to pick him up and launch him into the sun. (╬ಠ益ಠ)

Impression now

SE have given him a lot of good scenes both those that show his mature side and the comedic value of certain traits. A part of me do mourn his loss of innocence after the betrayal of the Crystal, but it only makes the moments when he reaches out and do good for people (Kai Shirr and Yugiri are good examples) all the more uplifting. 

Now I can side with people who sees Alphinaud as a little brother to the WoL, mainly because I have a little brother of my own.

Favorite moment

The moment he decides to open his big mouth in Il Mheg about how something reminds him of his childhood. Alisaie looked ready to to beat him to a pulp for such a comment!  (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ))

Idea for a story

For Alphi, I want to write a story about his time in Sharlayan. How he grew up, what his life could have been like with his sister, then studying at the Studium with Krile. It’s on the back burner since we don’t have a lot of information on most of these other than trying to snoop out what remains in the ruins. 

Unpopular opinion

I’m not too sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I prefer to keep Alphinaud in his currant state as a young elezen. I understand that eventually an adult model of him will have to be made, but the twins current form feels like it balance out how tall same of the other characters are. A strange reasoning, but I just prefer them short. 

Favorite relationship

SE has showcase his relationship with his sister so well in ShB and I only wish to see more. It’s definitely reminisent of the bond I had with my brother and I would love to see them in the same space more often. Both in fanfics and in game. (ﾉ `･∀･)ﾉﾞ

Favorite headcanon

Alphinaud has a sketchbook filled with everyone he has ever met. The pictures of Yugiri and Gotetsu that he has given out is actually a replica made from what he has drawn in his sketchbook. My HC is that he never intended to reveal that he was a good artist, it was something that he used to keep track of where he has been and with who.

Lyse for the character ask! Ty!

First impression

Oh, now Lyse - well, Yda at the time, I adored. Plus I had hc’s that she and Ahru got along splendidly from the start, both getting into trouble and hijinks and sparring with one another. So yeah, she was a lot of fun from the get-go.

Impression now

Adore her all the more. SB in retrospect was hit or miss in certain places for me, but I loved Lyse’s growth from the end of 3.X well into 4.X, and I am just so, so very proud of her. Boy do I miss her as a Scion though, and imagine how much fun it’d have been having her along for our adventures on the First ; ;

Favorite moment

Hm, she has a lot of good moments throughout SB especially, I really liked her talks with Hien and her growth during the little arc in the Steppes. Sparring up in Rhalgr’s Reach felt... so good for her and Ahru, considering how far they’d both come from just tussling about and crashing into crates at the Waking Sands and getting yelled at by Papalymo. ; w ;

Idea for a story

Now I’m just kind of musing over ideas of an AU where she did come along on the First and what she’d have been up to or how she might have impacted certain scenes. I think it’s pretty important she’s still in Ala Mhigo and taking care of business on the Source, but it’s fun to think about!

Unpopular opinion

:|a idk if I have one... But all the hate she gets is pretty meh. I get it if a character just isn’t your cup of tea of course, but some of it definitely edges into the same misogynistic territory of hate Minfilia got and that is some fine grade bullshit. 

Favorite relationship

Her and Y’shtola, and I once shipped her with Hien briefly cuz that was interesting, but I like their interactions in general just for what they are, platonic or otherwise. Her relationship with Papalymo was, of course, such a defining one for her.

Favorite headcanon

As seems to be the trend, it’s more relevant to my WoL than solely about Lyse, but like I wrote above I loved her and Ahru just generally being BFF’s and training or getting into mischief.

Wedge x Tataru — They’re cute. I’m not sure I totally ship it because sadly Tataru doesn’t appear to be much interested in him. It’s pretty one sided :C but I could see it being adorable! I think their personalities could be compatible.

Emet-Selch x A!WoL, Once Upon a Dream.

"I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream~"

When Emet-Selch heard the deeds of the one called "Warrior of light"; At first he was reluctant to believe that someone he once knew, someone who's every existence made his heart ache for a time long forgotten, was once again within his reach after a millennia of silence.

"I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam~"

The second he saw the famed warrior, stood before them, it was no doubt the one whom he had loved so long ago. He wanted so badly to reach across the room and kiss them with the firery passion they once held together, but the WoL eyes held something different besides that of his reincarnated lover. Nothing.

"And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem~"

He wished his warrior came alone, he deliberately stressed they came alone. He needed to know, in his own way, with his own treatment, that this WoL was not a disappointment. That he was right to entrust this harsh mission to his love. To the one he knew would overcome all odds.

"But if I know you, I know what you'll do~"

Those eyes behind the hero, no longer held nothing for the Ascian. He saw, the glimmer of familiarity. The realization of a time long forgot. All at once the light that came and washed over him. The light formed from the love of new found friends; for the world they barely knew and wished to save and one of the only threads from a world long forgot peirced his chest.

Though, as he waited for oblivion to come, for darkness to fill his consciousness. It never came. When he dared open his eyes, he saw a familiar and heart warming sight. His lover, HIS warrior looking down at him, a smile played on their face.

"Sorry I kept you waiting." Was the only words the warrior spoke before capturing him in a searing kiss. Memories flooded into the warriors mind. Of times spend with Emet, as kids, young adults, youthful nights filled with passion and days filled sharing hopes and dreams.

The warriors heart also ached at how such passion, romance and love could have been forgotten. Emet didn't care, his lover, his light, the only person would burn every world in existence down for, was once more in his arms.

"You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream~"

The room the WoL occupied in the Crystarium was filled with lovers gasps, cries and confessions of love. They spent most of the night and well into the day, re-tracing curves of the body, new and old. Learning what made each gasp in pure delight and shudder in pleasure.

To Emet-Selch, this was a dream come true. Holding, caressing and breathing in his lovers scent in away he almost believed lost forever. As they laid tangled in sheets, exhausted from their passions, the warrior began to hum a small tune while lazily running their fingers through Emets hair.

"May I ask what you are humming?" Emet asked without moving from his spot.

"A song I heard from a bard awhile ago. Said something about "Lovers Dream" or what not. It was a folk tale for children really."

"May I ask that you indulge me in the words." He smirked, knowing full well his warrior wasn't much for singing but to his surprise, without missing a beat, the WoL started to softly sing.

Emet began to slip into slumber while his lover serenaded him with a song he realized, was a tale of two lover from another world he once visited as he took interest in a woman who's mage skills were that of wonder, but that was a story for another time, he thought as he drifted off to sleep, happily embraced by his warrior.

"But if I know you, I know what you'll do,

You'll love me at once,

The way you did once upon a dream~"

Tae is the quintessential berserker. If she were a DnD character, every turn would be another great moment to RAGE. Her only real ranged ability is Tomahawk, i.e. hock her axe at someone to get their attention and likely concuss them in the process. She prefers close combat, because her axe-haft is only so long, and her legs are short, which makes chasing things down to axe them a question a pain. Don’t ask her to make any particularly difficult plans; her plans all have one step: “smash”. 

While she’s not actually stupid, she prefers to let people with tactical minds handle the planning while she handles the physical requirements. She’s extremely durable, so rather than wasting time defending herself, she tends to just soak the damage and keep on thwacking. 

ANY LASTING INJURIES FROM COMBAT?  —

Tae blew out an eye looking into the business end of an aetherometer she found near her home. Her eye is actually still intact and looks totally normal (aside from being bleached white with a bright white limbal ring), but she can’t see normally out of it -- however, it does function as an Aethersight eye. Tae doesn’t realize that it is always active, so she still does technically have binocular vision. On several occasions she has used it to look through her aetherometer and has been able to take readings (and it has not struck her as odd that she can see out of her blind eye.

Since my twin @yumeaino isn’t feeling so great the last few days and such. I did want to write something for her and hope she enjoys it. I may not be great at writing other people’s oc’s but I can write readers~

Artoirel headcanons with a Viera!WOL

He is taken aback a little by how they can be tall, sophisticated and composed. Similar to an elezen, just with long ears and a fluffed tail. He is fond of darker skinned ladies, or ones that have striking color contrasts between hair and skin. Something for him to uncover. Their attire may not be the best for Coerthas, but it does wonders for stirring his thoughts.

If his Viera lover has sensitive ears, he will absolutely pet them till they’re a mess from his affection. Can use their height to his advantage that he might not be able to do with smaller lovers. Doesn’t mean he won’t pin his love to a wall somewhere.

He also will take advantage of the armor if his love indulges in some of his antics. Tugging the thinner strip or snapping them with it. I see him the type to enjoy teasing his lover with bare touch then leave them searching for it. 

If anything of Haurchefant is to go on in regards of kinks, Artoirel might be a bit more refined, but with a twist. He actually has the proper places for such play. Easily into master and servant. Dressing his beloved up in fine form fitting stuff to show off then have her underneath him by the end of the night.

Fond of anything that his lover brings up to him to try. But a nice blindfold and rope is just enough. Hands out of the way while he explores and teases, with their consent of course.

Eden jokes aside, Ahru actually has a pretty good memory - to an extent! While it’s definitely just her own ‘thing’, part of just how good it can be is owed to the Echo. Certain words or phrases can ‘click’ and she’ll recollect something very clearly, not a full-blown echo but kinda like “echo: cliffnotes version”.

There is some level of ‘selectiveness’ to this, it absolutely does not cover everything, thankfully. There are... plenty of things she’d love to forget. (Though, those are the things she doesn’t, lmao. War, loss, pain and suffering? Massaging a phurble-blood-based mixture into a mans bald scalp in the hopes of a hair growth solution? ...Never forgetting those.)
