Возможно, это будет интересно. Edgar Poe on Soviet TV - I have done English subtitles for the TV adaptation of Edgar Poe's story The Purloined Letter. It is a part of the TV show "The Old Detective" (Старинный детектив), directed by Pavel Reznikov in 1982, produced by the USSR Central Television. - Ваш мессенджер ссылки не пропускает, поэтому можно зайти на холмсо-форум 22б.ру - раздел "Чердак", тема "Видеоматериалы".
Здравствуйте, Александр 😎
youtube
The cast of this current bit only has like three people in it, but considering how they’re all celebrities and Yursky in particular auditioned for Holmes in soviet sh (as well as he did play Holmes on stage earlier), this might be the closest we’d ever get to seeing him in action.
Plus Bogatyrov yall, come on

Yuri Bogatyryov (02.03.1947 — 02.02.1989)
Encyclopedia of the Soviet Cinema: 'There was no one like him, before or after. It looks like he'd come and gone so quick just to leave us this unfathomable enigma of his phenomenon to marvel at.' Vitaly Wolf (critic, writer): 'He was very nervous, very kind and extraordinarily open-hearted. His tutor Katin-Yartsev used to tell me how worried he was about Bogatyryov's openness and vulnerability.' Irina Pavlova (critic): 'A two-meter giant, he could easily play a bravest knight (or the chekist Yegor Shilov in At Home Among Strangers), then turn into an ecstatically maudlin idiot Manilov in Gogol's Dead Souls. One moment his body could be steel-and spring-like, and he'd sport unequalled strength and agility. The next it would turn all wadded and quilt-like, as if lacking spinal cord... Immensely gifted, he was a wealth of the artistic 'material' in its pure form: fantastically pliable, filling any shape or form, easily meeting any director-poised challenges, dramatic or intellectual.'
movies in the post:
'Several days from the life of I. I. Oblomov' (1980), dir. Nikita Mikhalkov
'A Slave of Love' (1976), dir. Nikita Mikhalkov
'At Home Among Strangers' (1974), dir. Nikita Mikhalkov
'Declaration of Love' (1978), dir. Ilya Averbakh
'Martin Eden' (1976), dir. Sergey Evlakhishvili

Can we please recieve some Yuri Bogatyryov facts? He seems like such a sweetheart!
Of course! He WAS a true sweetheart, not even seemingly, 1000% confirmed Pure Good. I can’t really pull out much facts bc any celeb that died before, let’s say 1990, is doomed for obscurity, but Bogatyryov’s tragic story is at least somewhat conclusive.
obviously gotta mention that’s he was a confirmed gay, or bi (unclear), which his closest colleagues knew about. i did write about it before, but basically he got scared and depressed at this news => alcohol and some soviet xanax => gained weight and kinda let himself go => had a heart attack and the medics injected him with something, unaware that he took those anti-depressants before => a nasty reaction ensued that killed him for good. not fun
if the guy loved, he just loved a Nice Pure Good love, like he used to wash Volchek’s car as a sign of his affection, and that lady was neither young nor attractive, mind you, but he just Loved. a good friend, nice and soft, treasured by everybody, especially Mikhalkov who had bogatyr as one of his primary actors, he cried at his funeral saying that They (idk who) killed him
bc he was just so pure and unphased, he was exploited to the fuck and fro, always had some very sketchy people staying over (=living) in his flat, drinking and partying, and he had no will or desire to kick them out. he’d give everybody money, give away his paintings for free, anything, so no surprise people used it
he was an artist, yes, i think it’s a somewhat known fact if you google it. he painted a SHITTON of stuff, like over 300 or something, but the vast majority of it was lost because of how dismissive he was towards all that
had just as many gal friends as pal friends, like obvs Volchek and Mikhalkov, but Iya Savvina was one of his very close bffs, i think they were neighbors for a long time and it was her who begged him to get rid of the sketchy people who occupied his flat, to no avail.
I mean I bet i could’ve found out more if i dug deeper, but so far that’s all i remember from savvina and adabashyan’s recollections (adab told most of what im reciting above): he was Pure, he was Good, he was Gay as shit.
Once again, BROUGHT TO YOU BY ASK ME QUESTIONS BS
