its friday night so i kinda get it but even so, im gonna need my stepbrother to stop winging at his video games at 2 in the goddamn morning. Even during the work week where im trying to sleep i hear this dude almost straight up yelling in frustration sometimes. I had an interaction with him during christmas where i was playfully like "yyyyyyyep, i definitely hear you at night" and his reply was "yeah well you understand, you gotta get that anger out somehow". im just sitting there like uhhhhhhhhhhh no the fuck you dont lol, i found that total disregard for me and by extension our parents insulting. there's working people that need sleep in this house, if somethings pissing you off THAT much then turn it off, play something else or play something youre actually good at lkajfdkaljfdkla

He can’t forgive Erhardt, but he can’t hate him either, not after being made aware of how deeply Erhardt regrets his actions, and how similar those 8 years have been for them.

Really I feel like he’s just... tired. He’s tired of these complicated emotions that he doesn’t really understand, and just wants to be rid of them.

how, if at all, do you think your thoughts regarding hunter in your au will be impacted by the reveals in hollow mind? obviously ik you're not going to spoil the comic, but if you had a set storyline, will you be changing it at all? you don't have to answer this, im just curious lol

Yyyyyyyep, some stuff is changing, but it's mostly in regard to Belos rather than to Hunter. The season 2 episodes weren't really fully fleshed out to begin with since I was expecting a lore drop to screw with the latter timeline, but Belos's Whole Deal screws with some of his motivation in the earlier season too. I wrote TT with the assumption that Hunter was important to the Day of Unity, and since that was completely debunked, I'm doing some intense reworking of the earlier Belos scenes. Nothing has to be retconned in the pre-timeline or the comic that's already been posted though, so that's good!

The big things that are changing are Belos's motivation for bringing Luz in, his overall attitude towards her, and Luz's feelings about being a human in the Boiling Isles. I might make another post about it later, or maybe I'll leave the extent of it to subtext in the comic, but as a sort of sparknotes version: I no longer think it's out of character for Belos to 1) commiserate with/project onto another human stuck in the demon realm with a sort of us/them mentality as long as they're able to be "reasoned with", and 2) attempt to groom a young human into a witch hunter if he could.

He could see if Holly was home yet and ask her if she'd want to join him. She'd been talking about how much she missed him, so why not bring her along for the ride?*

oh gosh i never put two and two together that the two most heavily queer-coded characters are shown to be dangerous for teenagers to be around :/ the part that always made me feel the worst is rita Skeeter implying that Dumbledore might have molested harry...did we really need that?

see that’s the kind of shit I’m talking about, this stupidly insidious never-say-it-aloud stuff where the problem can’t be that they’re queercoded it’s that they’re morally reprehensible and dangerous to children, that’s totally not a trope as old as the hills

and Harry, in the case of Dumbledore - he never gets a chance really to make peace with what’s revealed about him, or repudiate, or reframe? Rita Skeeter is never right about anybody, according to the narrative, except when she’s right about Dumbledore. That’s damning when it comes to Jo’s choices. It leaves a lot of room to play around in-universe, since canonically Rita’s such a liar? But the external POV of the narration, which moralizes constantly, never condemns her.

And Albus is dead and defended only by Elphias Doge, who’s basically a non-character and who’s contradicted by the biased and frankly bigoted morality put forth by everyone else.
