Hi! With Modular, which instances double with Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp? Is it the Modular etb, leaving the field, or both? How does Panharmonicon interact?

First of all, Zabaz doesn't double anything, it just gives +1 counter.

As for when that replacement effect applies, it only applies when the modular creature dies, since that's the only time that modular creates a triggered ability. Entering the battlefield with counters is a replacement effect, not a triggered ability, and so is unaffected.

Could Modular be reworked so that new cards can be different, while still maintaining synergy with old Modular cards? Like how Amass became Amass {Type}, I would prefer it being Modular {Restriction} so that Zabaz and Arcbound Overseer would apply to the new version too instead of getting a new keyword that's just Modular-But-Different.

I'm not sure there's an easy fix to do that.

It has been a very long time since I did one of these. I wanna get back to these, however, I would like to focus on the decks I have or my friends have built, rather than just constantly trying to brew new stuff for the sake of writing.

Long intro done, gonna keep this short and sweet. Let’s talk about my favorite robot bug, Zabaz the Glimmerwasp.

Zabaz is a Boros artifact deck. It uses artifacts and focuses on recurring them for value and the modular ability to boost my creatures, namely Zabaz itself. While loading up the bee with +1/+1 counters is the most obvious strategy, it can also spread them wide with cards like Steel Overseer and proliferate effects.

Scrap Trawler, Junk Diver and a few other cards help with the recursion of artifacts sacrificed to Arcbound Ravager or Zabaz’s ability. Ozolith is fantastic for saving counters. It is still a Boros deck. So it does have issues with card draw, so being able to reuse the cards in play or the bin is helpful.

One card I would like to highlight is Abiding Grace. It allows Zabaz to block or destroy itself at base level. But, there are also a bunch of 1 drop creatures that can be recurred with this.

Zabaz is a weird deck, not gonna lie. There are certainly stronger artifact commanders. But none of them are bees, so… HA! 🐝

Zaraz kolo nich znajduje sie spalarnia smieci, to ten budynek z duza niebieskobiala wierza. znalezlusmy tez w okolicy nowo wybudowane kawiarnie i bary/grile na swierzym powietrzu. Widzicie tez na jednym zdjeciu skytree i plac zabaz z rozkwitlymi wisniami. Jak co weekend poszlismy do naszej ulubionej kawiarni na szybka kawe i Absi mial nowa wiec miszialam sprubowac pierwsza. Generalnie w ten wknd gbernatorka Tokio nakazala pozostanie w domach. Teraz zaczyna sue sezon kwitnacych wisni.

Nie bede sie wypowiadac na temat tego jak tutaj podchodzi sie do sprawy pandemii bo nie chce sie denerwowac. My sami sie izolujemy ale podejmujemy kalkulowane ryzyko.

Do you think a creature could be printed with Modular 0? i.e. It wouldn't enter with any counters, but if it got any +1/+1s by other means it would be able to transfer them on death and would count as 'modular' for Zabaz the Glimmerwasp?

I think it would cause more confusion than it would be worth.
