2. Billy Astor in Being Alive – a businessman who shares an office space with Bobbie, former idealist now turned cynic, gambled a bit too much and got stuck in debt to Kratt, shipped with Jenny & Topher

his main character inspirations are Robert/Bobby (company), Zach (a chorus line), J Pierpont Finch (how to succeed in business without really trying), Nick Arnstein (funny girl), and Ben (follies)

3. Lily May in Let Me Entertain You – Jenny's roommate and best friend, a fellow showgirl with a dark side, Bobbie got her off of a murder charge when a guest at Kratt's club started stalking her, shipped with Jenny & Topher

her main character inspirations are Roxie Hart & Velma Kelly (chicago) and Baby June & Gypsy Rose Lee/Louise (gypsy)

4. Mercy Correira in City On Fire – Former member of Topher's cult and Topher's ex girlfriend, but Kratt set his eyes on her and ultimately she had to give in and agree to be his or Topher was going to get sent to the electric chair. All along he’s thought that she betrayed them all for the glitz and glam of being a showgirl, now she’s sort of the faded star used and thrown aside and jaded, shipped with the Emcee

Her main character inspirations are Lucy Barker (sweeney todd), Charity Hope Valentine (sweet charity), and Sally Durant Plummer & Phyllis Rogers Stone (follies), with influence from Johanna Barker (sweeney todd), magenta (rocky horror), Fanny Brice (funny girl), and Mary Magdalene (jesus christ superstar)

Angels Sneak Past Twins 5-4.

The Minnesota Twins had a much-needed off day after getting banged up in the final game against the Dodgers. The team headed up to Anaheim for three games with the Angels this weekend. The Halos got the scoring started in the third inning as Zach Neto singled to left and Mickey Moniak doubled to right. Taylor Ward hit a sac fly to center and the Angels had a one-run lead after three frames. Anaheim kept adding on in the fourth as Hunter Renfroe led-off with a single to center and Brandon Drury doubled him home. Luis Rengifo walked and and bad throw from Ryan Jeffers went into center field. The throwing error scored a run and the Angels lead was extended to three. Meanwhile, Reid Detmers ran with the run support through 5 2/3 hitless innings. Carlos Correa drew a two-out walk and Byron Buxton singled to break up the no-hit bid. Kyle Farmer hit a run-scoring single to left to put the Twins on the board. The next batter, Alex Kirilloff lined a pinch-hit double to right to plate a pair and even the game at three all. The Twins got back to work in the seventh as Willi Castro led-off and crushed a Tucker Davidson fastball out to left for a solo homer. Minnesota had a 4-3 lead and it quickly was given up in the bottom of the seventh. Zach Neto started it all with a one-out single to right and Mickey Moniak tripled him home to tie the game at four. Shohei Ohtani drew a two-out walk and Hunter Renfroe hit a go-ahead single to left. Anaheim held onto a 5-4 lead after seven innings of play. Matt Moore put up a zero in the eighth and Carlos Estevez had a 1-2-3 ninth as the Angels took the series opener tonight. 

-Final Thoughts- Joe Ryan was very good tonight as he threw six solid innings. He gave up three runs on seven hits with a walk and nine strikeouts. Griffin Jax had some bad luck with a no call when he almost struck out Shohei Ohtani. He gave up two runs in 2/3 of an inning to take the loss. Brock Stewart retired all four men he faced. Kyle Farmer led the team with two hits on the night. The Twins hit 2-for-4 with men in scoring position and left six men on base. The Team placed Nick Gordon on the injured list and called up Kyle Garlick from St. Paul. Tomrrow, Louie Varland faces Patrick Sandoval in Game 2.

I'm watching a playthrough of the Nier Replicant remake while debating picking it up at some point in the near future, which is bringing lots and lots of (likely rose-tinted) memories. Also, it's brought to my attention something I didn't understand at the time of the original version's release - the two different versions that were released.

Spoilers ahead, yo!

Basically, the dev team had a Western and Eastern component and a focus on appealing to a Western audience since the setting of the game is in a future version of Earth's West... somewhere. The Western component wanted an older protagonist since the original release was in the first wave of the Big Hairy Dad era. The Eastern component - and Yoko Taro specifically - wanted a younger protagonist since, y'know, that shit's apparently all the rage over there.

They both got what they wanted and two versions of the game under two different names were released with the only appreciable difference being that one had a Big Hairy Dad voiced by Jamieson Price and the other had a Depressingly Dedicated Brother voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto and Koji Yusa (timeskips, yo! (this protagonist was also voiced by Zach Aguilar and Ray Chase (same timeskip situation) when the DDB version was sent over to the US with its remake (I think it was only with the remake, I'm pretty sure the DDB version wasn't originally available in the US))).

Rather than having the same name but different protagonists regionally, Nier Gestalt had Jamieson Price's role and Nier Replicant (which the remake is named after) had Nobuhiko and Koji's role.

... that was a long bit of setup, Jesus fuck... Also, since I played Nier Gestalt first, when I was roughly 11 years old, I'm going to be basing it as the default despite them both being canon and Replicant being considered default by a lot of people.

So, you have two versions of one story with mostly the same dialogue, except now some of that dialogue is in a completely different light because of the protagonist's age.

The opening scene with Yonah (the MC's daughter/sister) trying to share a cookie with the protagonist hits a bit different when it's a daughter trying to help keep her father in good health compared to a sister trying to share the last of the food she's found with her likewise starved brother.

When the protagonist tells Yonah the story of the Lunar Tear (a flower that could make them rich if they ever got ahold of one), it comes off as an older brother making a childish mistake and a father being a rookie parent despite supposedly raising his daughter alone for a hot minute.

When Popola, an important and experienced person in their village, is reluctant in sending the protagonist out against the Shades in an early Subjugation quest, it makes the Shade seem more dangerous considering Papa Nier is a hulking mass of a man that could probably snap half the people ever to read this or play a Yoko Taro game in half, and like she's trying to shield a younger kid from a potentially dangerous situation when it's Yung Blud Nier.

Anyways, the entire point behind me writing this was a) I need to type shit like this out to help with my hyperfixation, and b) I really want a DLC or patch for the remake where you can choose to play as Papa Nier, cause I want this mans in updated graphics and to hopefully hear Jamieson Price's better-than-sex voice in this context again.
