Ziolet Wedding, Part 2!

@celestetheseaunicorn Asked me for some Ziolet Wedding Headcanons (thank you again!), and I replied with headcanons for their first wedding at the link below.

Zach and Violet’s first wedding was their “legal wedding,” and it was a small, intimate affair. The second wedding is their big, “fancy” wedding ceremony with all their family and friends in attendance.

The second wedding occurs six months after the first wedding, in October, shortly before Zach’s 29th birthday. This wedding occurs as a way for Zach and Violet to celebrate their love and marriage after a tragic event occurred in their lives only a few months after their first wedding.

I actually tweaked the timeline to have the first wedding occur a year later than I initially planned, so they originally get married in April right before Violet turned 23 (trust me, this will all make sense later, lol). You can read all about the second wedding below the cut! It is super long, so I apologize in advance, lol.

Wedding #2

Venue

They get married in the church where Violet’s parents were married at Outer Banks, North Carolina. The church is the typical rural/country church. The church is decorated with lights/candles and flowers (see examples some below this section! It’s more like the first one, but you can combine the imagines, lol, and imagine the flowers are white and purple!)

Their reception is held at Violet’s aunt Amy’s waterfront restaurant, also at Outer Banks, North Carolina. Amy shuts the restaurant down for the day and her, Paige, Todd, Valarie, and the Zachbots decorate it!

Outfits

Donita designs all the outfits for the wedding party, and Violet ensures no animals are used in the creation of the outfits, haha.

Violet wears an actual wedding dress this time that is ivory, form fitting, and covered with lace, sparkles, and floral details.

Violet wears her mother’s cathedral length wedding veil, but Donita jazzes it up by adding butterfly appliqués to it (like the one below, but it’s ivory like the dress). Her hair is loosely curled, and is in a twisted half up/half down style, sort of a mixture of the two styles shown below. Violet swaps the veil for white and lavender floral hair pins at the reception.

Zach wears a dark gray tux with a lavender/lilac tie, and the groomsmen wear lighter gray suits with lavender/lilac ties (I know the references below have a checkered pattern, but the suits are solid in color). The Zachbots also have their “tuxes” with lilac/lavender bow ties, lol.

The brides maids and matron of honor wear lavender/lilac dresses, all of various lengths and styles (Paige, Amy, and Donita have long dresses, and Paisley’s is knee length).

The ring bearer has dark gray pants like Zach with light gray suspenders and a little lilac/lavender bow tie, the flower girl wears a frilly lilac/lavender dress.

Wedding Party

Violet’s matron of honor is her cousin Paige, Violet’s aunt Amy, Donita, and Paisley serve as brides maids. 

Zach’s best man is a Zachbot, lol, and Paige’s husband Todd serves as a groomsman along with Gourmand, Dabio, and Rex, (oh I forgot to mention Todd also happens to be Koki’s cousin, adding some interesting family dynamics into the mix, haha). 

Paige and Todd’s son Nathaniel is the ring bearer, and the girl Zachbot from Mystery of The Weird Looking Walrus is the flower girl 😂. 

Theme

The color theme is a mixture of gray, white, gold, and lilac/lavender.

Butterflies are Violet’s favorite insect, so there are butterfly decorations/figurines throughout the ceremony and reception. They have metal, paper, and even fabric butterflies that match their color theme!

Zach’s mom, being the the florist she is, provides all the bouquets for Violet (the longer one is her’s), the bridesmaids, matron of honor, and boutonnieres for the Zach and the groomsmen…They are lilac and purple!

Fairy lights and white and lavender/lilac flowers are also a huge part of their theme! 

Instead of throwing confetti or rice, guests throw biodegradable confetti….which is made out of leaves and flower petals!

The guests also have little containers of bubbles with Zach and Violet’s names on them when they leave for the reception!

Ceremony

A Zachbot and Amy walk Violet down the aisle, haha.

Zach and Violet write and exchange their own vows. They are very heartfelt and super sappy and sweet. This is not really the final version of their vows, but I kind of imagine them going something like this:

Zach: “I never thought that the varmint that literally crashed into my life one day at summer camp would become my wife, but I would not trade that horrible first encounter for anything. It took me a while to realize you were the love of my life, and until the day I die I promise to honor you, love you, support you, and fight for you with every Zachbot, hehe, and everything that’s in me.”

Violet: “You came into my life at a time when I was so broken that I didn’t think I’d ever find love, in any form, again. I didn’t realize I loved you until we were apart, and I loved you in secret for so long. I never thought we’d end up together, and I almost ruined that when we did. But you were and are my dream, and I promise to love, support, cherish, and help to devote my life to you and to making a life with you.”

When the officiant says Zach may kiss the bride, a Zachbot grabs Violet and tries to kiss her. Zach is not happy about that, lol.

Zach and Violet have a sand pouring ritual as part of their ceremony. Violet has sand from the Outer Banks, taken the day she and Zach got back together after a near divorce, and Zach has sand from the summer camp where they met.

Zach and Violet have a memorial candle they light in memory of their loved ones who have passed, they say their names in the ceremony and honor them in this way.

Zach and Violet spend a few minutes alone before they leave for the reception/photos because Violet has a panic attack (feeling guilty about having the wedding without their loved ones who have passed with them), and he comforts her 💜!

Photos

The Zachbots serve as the photographers too, Zach and Violet have to be very, very careful with their words. 

One Zachbot tried to throw a camera away, another wraps its arms around the whole wedding party when Zach asks everyone to gather around them. 

Zach and Violet do some pictures with fairy lights around them, it’s supposed to just be Zach and Violet with the lights, but it’s Zach, Violet, and a Zachbot initially. 

One picture is of Violet “dragging” Zach into the ocean, well a Zachbot literally drags him into the ocean….

They have photoshoots at two locations: the beach and The Elizabethan Gardens (essentially a big garden, but it’s gorgeous!!!)

Reception

Gourmand and Violet’s aunt Amy serve as joint caterers for the wedding, they bicker all night long, but eventually get over their differences and produce a wonderful meal for all the guests: there are seafood (for Violet), chicken (for Zach), vegetables (for all, haha), and lots of desserts!

Zach and Violet have a first dance (2.0 edition, I guess, lol) to Wherever I May Go, and I kind of think they are singing it to each other, quietly for only the other to hear. Both are crying, kissing each other, wiping each other’s tears away.

They have a bouquet and garter toss! But Violet and Zach are both shy about the garter toss, so they buy a garter just for the reception.

They toss them at the same time, Zach and Violet counting in unison, “three, two, one! Get them!” 

The Zachbots naturally get confused and they end up in a heap on the floor. Zach and Violet are just groaning and rolling their eyes, “we didn’t mean literally!”

Gourmand gets the garter and Amy gets the bouquet 😉. 

They DO NOT have a cake smash, Donita forbid it, but they do cut the cake and feed it to each other sweetly!

I kind of think Violet might sing/play a song for Zach. I’m stuck between Your Song by Elton John or Never, Ever & Forever (this is a twangy love song from an Animated Tom Sawyer Movie, but it’s amazing).

Well that’s it, there’s probably more I could say, but this is a lot, and I am going to leave it at this for now. Thank you so much for this initial ask, I am sorry it took so long to get this out, but I wanted it to be perfect!
