I'm a bit embarrassed to say this but I've been interested in Laos and the traditional clothes a lot since following u, would you mind sharing any music/movies/books from there? apologies if this is a weird ask

A lot of the books I remember reading from Laos are translated from western literature or China, and the movies are often just in Thai dub.

There aren't many Lao writers, or movie directors, so what ends up happening is that the media often goes out of print.

That doesn't mean that our media ceases to exist, there are some from the decade published that are being resold, but often this is extremely rare.

For music I can recommend Thinlamphone, Youd Salavan, and Zamio P. They make tracks that lean into Pop.

You should never be embarrassed about wanting to learn new things. I'm very happy with your interest in my culture :) 💞
