Got some Peau d'Homme goodies thanks to my internship!

I absolutely loved this when I read it back in January. I didn't even make a post about it but here's a blurb:

In Renaissance Italy, Bianca, a young lady from a good family, is of marriage age. Her parents find her a fiancé to their liking: Giovanni, a rich merchant, young and pleasant. The wedding looks set to go smoothly even though Bianca can’t hide her disappointment at having to marry a man she knows nothing about. But before the marriage, she learns the secret held and bequeathed by the women of her family for generations: a “man’s skin”! By donning it, Bianca becomes “Lorenzo” and enjoys all the attributes of a young man of stunning beauty. She can now visit the world of men incognito and get to know her fiancé in his natural environment. In her male skin, Bianca frees herself from the limits imposed on women and discovers love and sexuality.

I loved our main character and how her story will resonate with a lot of people/women. It was fun, emotional and just absolutely beautiful.

I highly recommend it to people looking for feminist and queer narratives, especially if you appreciate historical settings. Plus it's a French bande-dessinée available in English (A Man's Skin), so if you've never read any, here's your sign!

Peau d'Homme d'Hubert et Zanzim

Dans une ville que l'on imagine être en Italie à la Renaissance, Bianca est promise en mariage par son père. Elle se ronge de ne pas pouvoir rencontrer et connaître son futur mari pour pouvoir le choisir. Sa marraine va lui en offrir l'occasion en lui prêtant une peau d'homme, lui permettant d'évoluer librement dans le monde masculin. L'aventure s'enchaîne et amène les protagonistes à sortir des contraintes et des idées préconçues liées à leur genre. Hubert a construit une allégorie habilement ficelée, qui, étape par étape, nous pousse à regarder les choses sous un autre angle. Le dessin très fluide, à la limite de la caricature de Zanzim, aspire le lecteur dans l'évolution des sentiments des personnages. Découvrir

my number one has gotta be love thy enemy by surveycorpsjean or @/zanzimes on twt obhghgg my fucking god. this fic is so good its a madelespresso/espresseleine fic but it's so special to me it's really well written and it's honestly so beautiful idk. it's got a really long smut scene so if you dont like that i'd not recommend reading it but even the smut is so well written and emotional and i loved every bit of it

jesus theres this one genshin chatfic i'll never find again. it was really good i wish i could find it it was a comedy fic and yet the characters were written so realistically and it was really funny and well done

i refuse to say some of the ones i love but uhhh this one toothpaste fic i read is really well written and i think about it like. so often. let me find it hang on here it is. it's quite short but its good and i miss it
