you know my own bias towards zeke and william getting more screentime together aside ,, i really think that the film could have benefitted from maybe just a couple more scenes of their interactions because that flashback sequence where zeke is thinking about william after his faux murder and it plays all the fond moments they had together was truly full of slim pickings and kind of sad to see but mainly because all his fond memories where just so not emotional lmao

random headcanon i came up with

zeke collecting those soda can tabs and make a chain of it, but he gets an idea of gluing the soda tab on a barrette, which he does and gives it to Tina

So, I discovered this in my phone while I was doing my annual archiving. It was a clip from the After Party last year and this one is between Levi and Hange.

I didnt think much when I first listened to it, or even when I recorded it down. But today, after listening to it again, I realised, there is a very very subtle hint about their relationship.

1) Hange is talking to Levi about his situation, not talking about Levi and his Zeke squad. The 2 of them really have this bubble between them where they just exist with the other.

Just some random moments which reminds us that Levi is always Hange's most attentive listener (Remember when Oluo told Eren to shut up in Season 1?)

2) So Levi then snap Hange out of her rambling because she is empathising the feelings that Levi had to go through...to have no options but to kill his own squad....

"....it's beyond cruel...." 😢

Or maybe Levi woke up because Hange is mumbling and he has to be the listener and be there for her? 🤔

3) Anyway, I loved how Levi tried to get Hange to think logically and not get to stuck with Sannes' words aka her sense of responsibilities. Although he feels the same, he said he try not to think about it. So this tells me that whatever I am going to conclude about Hange later, also applies to him.

Now, does Levi mean that he forgot about the torture bonding time? No, because he said if he could. But I think that he is trying to tell Hange not to think about what is not helpful to her, especially for the present situation.

Just try not to think about it, like I do.

I think that Levi is trying to help Hange to differentiate between duty and responsibility because these 2 are very different to begin with.

When Sannes, or Hange, or even Nick, felt that it is their responsibility to protect the king, save humanity or keep the Wall's secret, they then faced with that role/ turn that Sannes talked about. But Levi has a duty to kill the Beast, to give meaning to the deaths of the Scouts who had been conned to die, stop the Rumbling, fulfil his promise. A task that he just has to complete, and not feel that he is responsible for it in anyway. Which is why I think he tried to tell Hange to lessen the burden of responsibility, and focus on her duty instead.

And we do hear her tell Jean in 127, that she is still the Commander and she has her duty. But of course, she still struggles with the responsibility part, even up until 132.

4) Now, the last part is where I had a new realisation about their whole interaction here. (Of course Levihan lens in on👓)

I think this is where the very conflicting moment shows for both Levi and Hange.

"We chose to be soldiers, and we chose to push on"

Now, suppose they make the other choice, there wont be any need to fill the role that Sannes talk about. And that alternative choice was really, giving up their duty, or not and live out their lives together in the forest.

And like Hange said, both of them had chosen the path to take.

5) Levi then kept quiet while Hange continued about the roles and turns. I feel so sad here as Hange conclude that when their turn comes, they would need to sacrifice things that they hold dear.

Now, just rewind the clip back and you will notice that Hange had always talked about "the 2 of them".

And I feel that this moment, kind of explains why the 2 of them cannot look at the other in the eye after that.

They understood who they had held dear to them, and the other party also knew.

6) So, what else could be "dear" besides Levi? Definitely not her life because Moblit has always scolded her for risking her life.

For Hange to feel the conflict of sacrificing what she held dear, because of her choice, I think Levi must have understood too. Because their parting words...

"You would understand, Levi..."

And Levi's duty to kill the Beast means he had to sacrifice what he held dear to as well.

7) So in a way, Sannes' words was really for both Hange and Levi, although he said it to Hange directly. But the choice they both made, meant that when the time or turn come, there had to be a sacrifice made.

And thats why Hange did not let Levi speak first. She kind of have forced him to make that "sacrifice". And she took responsibility for that choice he made, likely, to lessen his regret.

Upon re-read: Pieck seems conflicted when preparing to shoot Zeke, and Zeke's looks sad when he sees the Cart Titan's skeleton. 😢

This made me so soft for no reason. They probably spent a lot of time in missions working together, which makes me think they were good friends, and I wish we could've seen more of that friendship.

This totally fits with the original nomadic theme their spinoff was supposed to have. Paradise is wherever the two of them are.

Lots of thoughts on the episode

This is my favorites of the series. It was like Consumed x1000.

The opening shot of super sad Daryl under that window, not knowing Carol was right outside! I really think he thinks he was going to die there.

Ok. Carol’s plot armor here was level 9000, but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Seeing Carol and Codron go Furiosa was awesome!

I already made a post about how Izzy dies. It was so Beth coded. Right down to the stupid little weapon and bad aim.

They held onto that Tinkerbelle theme to the end. Tink drank poison and was holding her belly like Izzy. Seeing her bleeding out alone, and then being saved by Carol was so emotional. Carol was so caring 🥹

The look on Izzy’s face when Carol told her name. She knew instantly. She knew she could never compete with this bond. She probably was a little sad, but like Clemence said I think it more acceptance. She still believed in signs and God moving their lives through fate. She knew she was looking at Laurent’s new parents.

And I must point out that Daryl didn’t shed a single tear. Dude was was just bawling all over Carol, but no tears for Tink.

It appears Carol put her down since she pulled out her knife at the end of the scene. No burial? No revenge mad Daryl tearing through the castle looking for Losang? No his focus was Laurent, which I think it always was. Izzy was just part of the package. Just like Carol/zeke/henry

I did wish the Caryl reunion had some dialogue, but what could they say that would fit, but wouldn’t trigger the TOWLers to claim they were copying them?

Flew half around the world in a feeling. More Peter pannery, Daryl is Carol’s happy thought!🥰 💫✨

ABCers were all claiming how romantic d’paysant was and how that would be the Tinkyl catchphrase. I loved seeing Daryl smile and say it to Carol not 24 hours after Izzy died.

I could write a book on Didi and Theo. We got a flashforward of future Caryl.

Carol stepped right into being Isabelle in a symbolic sense for the viewers. Pretty obvious what they are saying.

I wil have to do a seperate. Thidi/caryl post. There’s just too much. But how you can’t see Caryl coming after that is crazy.

The convo while Caryl were waiting shows Daryl is still thinking of staying in France even though Izzy is dead. So it was never about her, it was about Laurent.

I think they also hinted that Daryl just wants to start a new life. When Carol says, what about the Grimes kids back home?, he said “this is different” 👀 He just threw a little shade at having to play Rick’s nanny. He’s done and he wants a family with Carol.

Daryl saying he would never be afraid of becoming Carol! ❤️ He loves her just as she is. Flaws and all

Daryl apologized for losing himself

Theo bringing up sex eggs is a foreshadowing! It will be an actual Easter 🥚 ! Mark it!

Everyone being a little jealous of the old man losing his memories. 😢

Didi: Will you stay in Paris? Daryl: we’re still working in it.

See he still didn’t want to go home.

Theo : for you my love. For us. 💔 Sounds like something Daryl would do.

Genet saying “my love-my hope” equating her romantic love with hope. And the narrative has established Carol is Daryl’s hope.

God was not on Genet’s side 🫣 Her death was a really great death befitting a great villain.

Daryl tells Carol Laurent is Henry GLUE and Carol totally understands.

Don’t tell me Daryl Dixon isn’t head over heels in love with Carol.

Ending (happy ending) with Carol and Daryl both having giant smiles when he says Laurent is coming home with us.

Val! Thanks for sending these questions. I'm always so excited to talk about what I'm working on! I think A Sunrise Without You Is Coming will probably be my longest (and last) fic.

1. Is the whole story planned with chapter structure etc... or even partly written already? The whole fic is planned from start to finish :)

2. If you already know, how many chapters will there be for this fic? I planned 25 chapter outlines originally but ch3 ended up being longer than I thought once I had written it. I had to snip it off part way through. This might happen again so let's guess somewhere between 26 and 30 chapters in total.

3. Will they kiss? & more importantly will they fuck? /jk Honestly, I haven't included anything more than pining and eye fucking in my ch outlines! To give the story an authentic feel, I'm going to feel my way through their relationship as it grows. If the moment seems right, I'll take things to the next level ;)

4. What other SNK characters will appear throughout the fic? Apart from OG Levi Squad, Moblit, Nifa and Nile... you can expect to see Miche, Marlo and Floch very shortly. In future chapters we will also be joined by Hitch, Reiner, Erwin, Zeke, and Kenny.

5. May I ask for a sneak peek? (because there was no "WIP it Wednesday" post yesterday 😢) I have skimped out on the WIP It Wednesdays, huh? Fair's fair. Let's have a sneak peek then:

From ch4: I'll Not Speak A Word Despite a lingering chill and the last vestiges of afternoon light, the folk of Shiganshina were still leisurely browsing the marketplace. At the centre of the military village, where the earth roads converged, stood three avenues of unembellished stalls, each exhibiting their wares. 

Levi walked amongst civilians, hesitating as he drew level with a metal rack of women’s clothing. Inconspicuously, he cast his eyes around, before approaching. 

Thick woollen cardigans hung amongst long floral-patterned skirts. Levi peeled back a knitted sleeve. Then, with growing impatience, he swept past one garment after another.

“Hello? Are you looking for anything in particular?” asked the proprietor, a woman with dark hair pulled back into a low ponytail. At her intrusion, Levi quickly withdrew his hand.

With a final sweep of the area around them, Levi inclined his head as though he were about to mutter his response. He opened his mouth. He closed it again.

“This is part of our Fall Range…” The woman lifted a yellow button-down shirt, smoothing the material. “You know this is what they’re all wearing on the continent.”

She crooked a finger, beckoning him closer. With an expression of resignation, Levi obliged her.

“...I saw pictures in a Marleyan magazine once,” the proprietor boasted. 

Levi nodded, uncomprehending, as the woman seized a peasant skirt to tempt him with next. The pocket of his khaki military coat vibrated. Thankful for the interruption, Levi removed his cell phone. 

“I’ll take them all,” Levi indicated the entire rack with his hand. Flipping his phone open, he held the device up to his ear. 

“What size is she, sir?”

Levi hesitated again, his palm covering the mouthpiece.

“She’s… tall.” Turning away he answered in a low voice. “Miche?”

Delighted, the woman began bagging the clothes up.

“Levi,” came the Section Commander’s voice on the line, “I still haven’t been able to reach Erwin.”

“Sir, will you be needing underwear?”

The woman slowly pulled back the navy blue cloth which covered the stall, unveiling a low shelf of bras in different colours. Some were frilled and elaborate, others dark and lacy. Some contained padding, wired supports and front clasps. Others were elastic, unfilled or entirely strapless it seemed. 

Levi made a small noise in the back of his throat.

“Levi?” came Miche’s voice.

Covering his cell phone once more, Levi glanced at the proprietor.

“I’ll… take all of those too.”

 On the other end of the line, Miche gave an impatient sniff.

“Look, whether Erwin’s off having breakfast or the world’s longest shit, this can’t wait,” Levi hissed, “the MPs seized a vehicle of defectors right outside our base. How can he have nothing to say about that?”

“Which size is she, sir?” The woman held up a large, padded bra helpfully.

Levi stared determinedly past her, over to where smoke rose from red brick chimneys.

“...any,” he replied faintly, lips barely moving. He blinked. Cleared his throat. 

“You didn’t hear about the traffic incident?” Miche continued, “happened last night on the central road to Mitras.” 

“The one where the pedestrian was killed?” Levi turned away from the proprietor who was now tucking numerous bras into another bag. “They found a woman’s body according to a member of my squad.”

“Worse,” Miche countered, “the vehicle that struck her was being driven by two MPs. Skidded right off the road. I’m sorry, Levi. Every one of those defectors was killed.”

Hey there! What’s your favorite episode of Bob’s Burgers that no one ever seems to talk about?

Hmm, good one... I feel like the final two parter to season 12 (the Tina-bot ones) is underrated!! I love how they used Tina's EFF as a parallel to what she was dealing with at school. Especially because bullying like that is so common amongst those who are looked at as not normal. Like I know it focuses on Tina's new shirt, but I feel like it goes deeper beyond that, you know?

Plus, the songs are so good?? Like "What If I'm Right" is such a sad but sweet song,, it's sung by the whole family (+ JJ and Zeke) and it just breaks my heart?? Especially when Tina's looking through the window as the authorities shoot at her, the windows shattering (and her image shattering as well). It's done so incredibly well and agh I just love it.

I also really like the end to the final?? Like the message Bob/Linda gives to her. It really put what I couldn't express into words. And the last few minutes where the ending song plays and everyone dances?? It's weirdly comforting and it was a pretty important moment in my watching that made me realise just how much I appreciated the show.

Sorry if that didn't answer your question since it's technically two episodes. But they both stole my heart and they're always the eps that I use to explain my attachment to these silly burger fellas. 😢

Are you freaking kidding me? That man says the most beautiful things. The sweetest human.

Zeke did not deserve that. He has been nothing but selfless even from the very first season. He was suffering so much but still put the people he loved first, above his needs. He took their pain, literally, until it drove him into a relapse. And even then, all he could think about was his wife.

My gosh, he loved Michaela so much. Zekaela will forever be soulmates no matter what. They are the true definition of characters written as soulmates. They embody it. They have been through so much together but yet still chose each other over and over again. Not once did they lose faith in each other. She was always by his side and he was by hers till the very end. Growing together, loving together.

This is not the first time he was facing death. Not the first time that he was sacrificing himself for the people he loved. And yet, he would still do it all over again if it would save his family.

carla is alive and so is grisha. zeke's also around too. eren is just so haunted by his own demons that he went no contact with his family. so he cut himself off from his family's support. when mikasa comes back in his life it really throws him off. like she's the one beauty in his world and he doesn't think he could ever do anything to even be worthy of standing near her shadow but he doesn't let that on at all. he's just acting cold and stoic around her.

eren and mikasa makeout session in zeke fake gf au when 😩😢?!?! we need more tension between those two 🙄

Mikasa doesn't know what possesses her to do it, to steal a kiss, she doesn't even know what drives her over the edge. But after he'd stolen that kiss from her under the mistletoe she hadn't been able to control herself. He's standing there, chattering away while Zeke plays video games in the room over. The two of them had been sent to fetch snacks for Zeke the only one currently left alive in the 3 player game zombie killing game they'd been playing.

He's so freaking annoying, had been teasing her all afternoon, hand on her thigh right in front of Zeke, pinch to the waist, pat to the butt and now here he is smirking at her, all pleased with himself. "If you were a vegetable Mikasa you'd be a cute-cumber." That's the irritating pickup line he's so smug about, he's been throwing them at her since they arrived in the kitchen, giving her those eyes the ones that tell her he'd like nothing more than to bend her over the counter. He's cutting up vegetables and looking at her with such intense eyes, a stark contrast to the next line out of his mouth, "I think we'd make a good pear."

She's practically fuming as Eren finishes up the veggie tray, pushing it towards her, smirking all the while. He heads to the back counter to grab the box of donuts Grisha had brought home earlier carrying it back over to her. She moves to grab the veggie trey, Eren holding the donuts, ready to go but he stops her, a hand on her arm.

And then dead serious, he opens the box of donuts, forest green eyes locked on her own, "Mikasa can you be my donut, I promise, I'll fill all your holes."

It is at that point that Mikasa decides to shut him up the only way she's ever had success with. She ignores the veggies, grabs him by the shirt and just yanks his lips to her mouth, causing him to almost drop his beloved donuts.

He makes a noise of shock into her mouth but it only allows Mikasa to slip her tongue past his and fuck him he tastes like chocolate donuts. She hates how it makes her pull him closer, how she moans a little when he shoves the donuts onto the counter to grab her by the waist. He's so rough with her too, one hand reaching down to cup her ass while the other forces her closer.

Yeah, this is definitely her new preferred way to shut him up.
