Theory: Zestial would be Abel?
It seems like a crazy theory (maybe it is), but follow the reasoning here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the theory that Carmilla Carmine would be Eve, I theorized Zestiel could be Cain. But talking to a friend, we came to the conclusion that it would make more sense that Zestiel would be Abel instead of his brother:
In some myths, Cain, after murdering his brother, was condemned to never die. he could live as an immortal being on Earth, or be in some kind of purgatory (there is no purgatory in Habzin Hotel (?)), in short, he would not be in hell.
Zestiel's design: He is a spider, and it has been confirmed that sinners who take the form of a spider were sinners linked to some lie in life (Angel Dust came from a mafia family, linked to lies).
Meaning of Zestial's name: Zesti means enthusiasm, while al means God. Abel was the son of Adam and Eve who pleased God (the myth of offerings to god).
Adam, in the series, was confirmed as the first soul to enter Heaven, where would the myth of Abel and Cain fit in? Wouldn't Abel been the first soul to enter Heaven? What if Abel had gone to Hell instead of Heaven? Would him taking the form of a spider be a sign that he could have cheated on the offering to God? Or something related to his death was not as the myths said.
This is just a theory, he could very well have just been any human being in life (many say he is from a period after the Middle Ages because of his accent.. But Lucifer himself has an accent from a region of the USA and he's not American), but it would be interesting if this character was more than that. I recommend reading the theory about Carmilla being Eve so this theory makes more sense.

Anonymous asked: Hey, are there any HH roleplayers you recommend to check out?

Tumblr media
God a LOT actually. I'll only name a few though so this post doesn't become super long.
@leftrib/@perditicn - Always gonna recommend this person, this is my buddy Hound, and while they're a slow writer their stuff is ALWAYS worth waiting for. They also like to plot and discuss things extensively which is a VERY big bonus for people who like to talk things out on how muses would respond to things / each other and see where things can lead, especially when it comes to plotting, etc etc. They put a lot of thought and love into their characters and writing and it certainly shows.
@shadowzgather - Another instant recommend. I've been writing w/ Tera since joining the ducktales / dwd fandom. Their main two is Pentious and Valentino but they've also recently added a few ocs, Abel, and Alastor. They're a good writer with interesting takes on their characters. 10/10 would recommend. { They also just reminded me that they recently added Stolas, mb }
@xluciifer - goofy fella, does a REALLY good job with Lucifer and puts so much thought into him. They're always a joy to read with their threads, don't let the fact they're mobile bound turn you away ! They put a lot of effort into their blog and the character and it certainly shows.
@demondads - SAM. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND SAM. They have another blog too i'm pretty sure its @thestupidmeanone which is Church w/ a HH AU on it. Sam's a JOY to talk to and a joy to watch on the dash and write with.
@plxgue4two - I haven't seen MUCH thread wise but what I have seen i've enjoyed a LOT. Bug has SO much passion for this OC and she's SO well written and thought out. Just { chefs kiss }
@hellshoard - I've been following them for awhile but I gotta say I'm glad I FINALLY got to start writing with them and I would 100% recommend them as well. The mun's a sweetheart { and chaotic } and the muses are great.
@fearedelight - Sal is another one I recently followed but they also have some REALLY neat ocs + i love their takes on their canons, especially Mammon. { sorry Sal i've been snooping in your HC's } They're also super nice and easy to talk to.
@vietat0 - I see a lot of eve's around but I think this is probably the first one I've gotten to write with and they've def got an interesting take on her imo. Worth checking out + mun is really nice.
@arachnaemboss - and last but not least, this Zestial, I haven't gotten to write with them but I very much do enjoy the portrayal. I'd recommend checking them out if you haven't yet.
@pompedia - I lied I have one more, pom I have followed for a long time and while she only has charlie and emily she writes them SO well. 10/10 give love
@waywardsculs - ALSO BECAUSE THEY POPPED UP THREATENING TO LOVE BOMB ME I'M GONNA THROW THIS MF ON HERE TOO BC I ACTUALLY AM VERY INTERESTED IN THEIR MUSES AND THEY ALL LOOK VERY NEAT GO GO GO GO GO

I like that one random fan theory that Zestial is Abel. It makes almost no sense yet it would still be the best thing ever.
Nooo bc that’s actually really funny. I like that theory. If he ain’t in heaven and Zestial is the oldest, it lines up😭😭

Is this about the theory that Zestial is Abel, based on what his full name (Zestial Morde) translates to (separating the suffix, ‘ial’ being ‘of God’, what were names usually reserved for the holy, anyway, ‘zest’ ‘ial’ ‘morde’ to put the words in that order). Because I really like that theory.
I haven't heard that theory! Actually, I even had to remind myself who Abel was. As the second son of Adam/Eve, that would make Zestial quite ancient indeed! However, given Abel's sacrifice was favored by God, I'm not sure he would have gone to Hell? Cain, on the other hand, certainly. Cain was the first murderer.
The 'taking up holy arms' comment made by Zestial (S1E3) has caught my personal attention. I am sure it means something, given it is a popular rumor among Pentagram city. Given 'Lilith' (potentially, some theories suggest it was Eve) and Alastor have been missing for 7 years & 'Lilith' is shown basking on the beach's of heaven (holy space), I suggest that perhaps the rumor is related to correspondence between 'Lilith' in Heaven and Alastor.
Tumblr media
Between the rumors conversation between Zestial/Alastor and the egg boi comment, these Hazbin writers clearly thrive off fanbase curiosity/conspiracies! Regardless of which fan theories become cannon, just the fact that so many of these fan theory conversations are occurring has me thinking the writers got us right where they want us!! [Insert maniacal laughter here]
Tumblr media
^ Egg boi comment in question ^ There was some controversy in the fandom previously regarding Alastor's hair/ears? I vaguely remember....hmu if you remember it too so I know I'm not crazy lol

I had this convo in a server earlier but it would be neat if the whole reason Lucifer believes humans are hopeless despite Charlie having gathered sinners who arguably under that merit are interested in redemption enough go defend the hotel is bc he tried to redeem humans. Except he got tricked into making a deal that gave each of them some of his power and that's how overlords came to be. They can make deals with people because they took it from lucifer hence people say "deal with the devil". It'll being why Lucifer can't do much about them, and maybe signed off on exterminations hoping the angels would take them out. He not only once again created a monster of his own making but was betrayed by people he also considered friends like Charlie does. So question is what makes them different and what's the chance they'll stab her in the bsck when she needs them most? Just like Caine did to Abel and like God when he cast lucifer to hell.
Except because they hold so much power overlords can much more readily afford protection.
Anyways it would be cool if therefore our cast of protagonists held parallels to our antagonists. You could add themes of breaking cycles of abuse, trying to be better than those before you while doing right by those who come after, dealing with reflections of all of your worst traits, being made aware of all your flaws through experiencing the failures of another, how to trust others in spite of being faced with failure, the difficulties of vulnerability and sincerity in how it makes you weak yet also how it makes you stronger.
I just think it'd be neat I mean Vox and Al are rivals. Why couldn't like Zestial be rivals with Pentious?

I haven't seen that theory but that would be a good plot twist

Here’s a thought: so biblically Adam wasn’t the first human to die, that was his son Abel, killed by Cain, who was then condemned to immortality. Since Sera said Adam was the first human soul in Heaven, then arguably that must mean Abel is in Hell, so maybe that could play a hand in Adam’s second redemption? Like let’s say Zestial turns out to be Abel or something (‘A to Z’), what with how he’s said to be the oldest Overlord in Hell. Also, logically, couldn’t Adam go to the Heaven embassy too?
Ooooh that would be so cool! Cause I honestly would be very surprised if Angel was the only demon in all of hell who changed his name upon arrival. Plus Abel and Zestial even kinda sound a little similar; and he has a similar color scheme to Adam with the black and yellowish green. Almost like he was once yellow but it got “tainted”. Ohhh and I don’t think we even know exactly how old Zestial is!!
And yeah Adam could go to the Heaven Embassy but his pride may not allow it.

Theory: Carmilla would be Eve?
Among so many crazy theories (and I love it!) after this season, I'm going to bring my (crazy) theory. As the title already reveals, what if Carmilla Carmine was our missing Eve? Before you throw hate, here are some points:
-In some versions of the myth of the creation of Adam and Eve, Eve was condemned to hell (while Adam went to heaven). If the series goes down this path, the character wouldn't be in heaven;
-Carmilla's name: Originated from Hebrew culture. Carmila/Carmela/Carmilla/Carmile means garden, orchard. Well... I don't think it would be too much of a coincidence for the name to mean that (garden... Garden of Eden...).
-Eve was created from Adam's rib. Here I come up with the theory that the exorcist angels guided by Adam (including Vaggie) were created from his ribs (like Eve). This would explain the similarity in appearance of Vaggie, Lute and Carmilla.
--Carmilla's personality: she is super protective! The super mom of the series (so far). It is to be expected that Adam's second wife, mother of humanity, would be maternal./ "but she was presented as the mother of only two characters" man, she still seemed super worried about the day of extermination (she called a meeting with the Overlords precisely to think of ways to stop this), after all, the sinners were their descendants! (I'm not going to talk here about Adam's relationship with sinners, that would be worth another post) And, the same time, the exorcists would be like her sisters who she was reluctant to kill. I would also like to add here, I think Zestial could be Cain (one of his main sons and, precisely, the first sinner, as he killed his other brother Abel), this would explain the affection that Carmilla has for Zestial and for them both being the oldest Overlords! (Cain died before Eve in many versions of the myth) /Sure, they might just be good friends, but to me it made a lot of sense, my bad
-Her appearance: I've already commented on her resemblance to Vaggie (the two even duet two songs, expressing similar feelings), but now let's compare her appearance with her hair down with Eve's silhouette in the first episode (just look at the image I posted here) , it's identical! And of course, the second wife would have to be beautiful, and Carmilla is said to be beautiful.
--"ok but it is much more likely that she was one of the exorcist angels, taking into account her appearance and knowledge, why would Eve have an appearance similar to these angels?" Precisely because they came/were born from the same place, Adam's ribs! When Eve died, her demonic form still assumed that of a beautiful woman with large hands (representing her need to be able to hold, care for and hug everyone). Maybe Adam knew or didn't know how Eve was doing, and made his female army similar to his ex-wife (For me, this part would have several possibilities, like, him purposely making the appearance of the exorcists or it would just be because they were all born from the same place)
-In the final episode, when the news reports about what happened at the Hotel, the reactions of several characters appear, and there was one (emphasis?) in Carmilla's reaction to Adam's death (I imagine that, because she was against the extermination of sinners (her descendants) while her ex-husband, who lived in heaven, led this extermination, she should not have good feelings towards him).
Final note: Even if she is not Eve, probably she was one of the exorcist angels (as many already theorize), as she knew about the angelic weapons, knew of Vaggie's identity and her appearance.
(Sorry if there are a lot of grammatical errors, English is not my native language)
