She hated cities.

She had before the world went to shit, and she hated them now. Albeit for different reasons. They smelt before, of cars and trash and too many people in one place. Now they reeked of death, of rotting flesh, of too many corpses walking around.

But she had to admit not all supplies could be so easily found or made in the rural, more isolated places she preferred.

She slipped through the streets, hoping to find one of those nooks or crannies more likely to have been overlooked by other scavengers. Nerves on edge at every sound, keeping her hunting knife at the ready.

          ——— F U C K; there was something poetic about being trapped in a library; this may be the first time in history a hoard of people ( or, once people at least ) were pounding on the door trying to get in. Hoard was a term he used loosely in this case; six - six walkers, but this was enough to have him rattled. Busting out, guns blazing, drawing in the attention of more wasn’t ideal, but neither was dying in a library; a graveyard for a fading art, a final resting place for true genius. Poetic really.

It had been two days now, wandering between the shelves, up onto the roof, wishing the walkers away - to no avail of course, if anything more had collected. His plan was ill-thought, but since the walkers congregated by the splintering glass doors he figured jumping off the back was his only hope. Either that, or accept his fate among the pages of his favourites.

Standing now, gazing three flights down, his heart sank; perhaps dying alongside the words of poe wouldn’t be as tragic as – was that an engine? A car? A motorcycle? Whatever it was mattered little; only that it may see him ( now jumping wildly with waving arms, something like jumping jacks, but not nearly as methodical ) and come to his aide.

5K is ELEVEN years old. He is known as THE LITTLE BROTHER. 5k is a CANON CHARACTER from ZNATION and played by Emily.

ʙᴇғᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴜᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋ

Nature Boy as most people called him was an orphan living in mercy labs. He was only 5 when the apocalypse began. As a young orphan in the apocalypse, he found friends among a murder of crows. He brought them water and in exchange, they brought him food like berries and bugs. He lived like this for a while until he met a girl who went by Red. Red was the one who brought him to mercy labs, and they lived there together but she left often for reasons he didn’t know. He found comfort in his crow-friends, he always found a group of them no matter where he went, he was particularly fond of one that constantly followed him. He had found the crow when he was young, it had been attacked or hurt in some way, there was blood around one eye and it looked like he couldn’t see as well as missing two toes. Nature boy took the crow and nursed it back to full health, and the crow seemed thankful and decided to follow him around quite often. Being raised by crows had its advantages, he was an amazing collector and never had trouble finding food but he had never learned how to talk, he cawed at people sometimes to get their attention but preferred to remain quiet. Hand motion was his only way to get something, but he would utter small words on occasion that he had heard before.

ᴀғᴛᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴜᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋ

When he was 10 they met the group of survivors that were on their way to California, he became quite fond of 10k, he wanted to be just as strong as him. He started to dress like him, and his abilities with a slingshot made him a mini version of the man he looked up to. When he used his slingshot and the group saw how good he was they started referring to him as 5k and it seemed to stick. He got separated from the group only a month after meeting them and lost contact with Red leaving him alone in the apocalypse. He wandered around the apocalypse with just his crows until he ran into another group of survivors. None of them seemed to want him dead and they let didn’t make him leave, so he decided to stick with the group since he had no way of finding red. He would just travel with the group until something gave him a reason to do anything different.
