etcetera headcanon

I headcanon that she's half-sisters with Electra, and that Cettie likes to drag Electra outside after it rains to look for the best worms. What constitutes as a good worm? Well, you see, she's made a whole rating system with factors like color, wriggling level, length, and personality. The best worms get put in the Special Patch of Dirt

The reason she does this is because Electra made an offhand comment one time about wanting to plant a garden but needing better soil, so they have taken it upon themselves to get the best worms after every rain so they can one day plant a garden together.

Favorite color: it honestly depends, but I've always been a big fan of cornflower blue.

Favorite food/comfort food/drink: My comfort food is bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos, and my favorite drink is mint tea.

Favorite music artists: If I had to choose... REM and Rina Sawayama are definitely up there.

Song stuck in head: Not really fair since I'm listening to it as I write this, but "Do You Love Me" by Guster.

Relationship status: Single, and probably not looking to change that for a while.

Current time: 7:32 pm.

Dream trip: I'd really like to go to Ireland again, I went a couple of years ago and it was honestly so gorgeous. France would also be amazing to visit.

Something I want: To get into grad school without having to do all the application stuff, it's so nerve-wracking 😖

Favorite time of the year: Fall, 100%. It's so nice after how hot the summers get here.

Collect anything?: Vintage (but not in the expensive way) copies of Nancy Drew books, tiny versions of lab glassware, and long novelty socks.

Favorite fics: Nothing really comes to mind? I don't really tend to pick favorites when it comes to fics, though.

Favorite swing(s)?: Etcetera, Exotica, NBQ/Graycat, Tabbygirl, AJ/George, Caramel and Victor.

7. Favorite sibling headcanon?: Plato, Pounce and Tumble as brothers, Bomba and Demeter as sisters, Munk, Tugger and Mac as brothers are my perennial faves.

8. Favorite makeup design?: This is a hard one, i love so many looks. But . . . i am quite fond of Skimbleshanks especially when it's more orange and has lots of tabby lines.

15. Onstage pet peeves?: Hmm. How do i interpret this question . . . i think my biggest one is during the opening of Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats when all the performers don't get a line. Every one should get to at least sing one line and then it repeats from the top of the list. I know it's not always possible with larger with larger casts for everyone to get to sing during this section. But US Cats Cast seem to keep getting smaller and smaller and certain characters aren't singing during this section and it's just . . . LET THEM SING!

20. Have you seen Cats live? Where?: I did! and right before the pandemic too so i got some cast interactions as well, which was wonderful! Not answering where for privacy reasons.

It would have been easier to just send Bomba down to the healers' den and have done with it, but this gave them an excuse to sit together, Cass quietly brooding between each swipe of her tongue.

So Macavity was recruiting show cats now? Spoiled little rich girls (and more than a few boys, she supposed) craving some "real excitement" in their lives, willing to throw in their lot with the first charming tomcat who dangled promises in front of them... still living in that terrible fairy tale. She still remembered the sharp glimmer in Chione's eyes as they fought, the silk of her bow between her claws as she slipped away into the night, the haughty mocking laugh as she disappeared...

Perhaps she was meant to think "there but for the grace of the Everlasting Cat", but she knew herself better than that--Cass was many things, but never a traitor.

Bringing Munk and Demeter into this one too—

I love the idea of Bombalurina being Demeter’s girlfriend but not living with Deme and Munk. She might as well with the amount of time she spends over at their den, but at the end of the day she goes home to her beloved solitude. Of course, sometimes she stays over, but those occasions are rare. Jemima and Sillabub adore their auntie Bomba. Bombalurina tells them that she finds them merely tolerable, but in secret tells Demeter and Munkustrap that she would go to the Heaviside Layer and back for those two fur balls.
