it should be fine -- their blood is full of spider VENOM, not POISON! me and @muffinapologist recently decided it should be canon to our AU that astarion killed my tav the first time he fed because zyra was too horny to stop him; it's the inevitable follow-up to their journey of self-discovery that started the moment he held a knife to their neck

this got me thinking about how zyra's blood has calming properties when ingested in small doses. it's not a stretch to imagine astarion might've dozed off right after draining them /ᐠ - ˕ -マᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 luckily, it wouldn't be too long until he snapped out of the meditation and got to decide what to do: hide their body, or waste a scroll on this idiot

astarion not showing up in selfies is the most important part of the modern AU to me (ascended astarion would be infinitely more annoying once he gets his reflection back, since he'd be able to take selfies again... influencer astarion isn't real he can't hurt you--)

@ink-cartoon has been sending me a bunch of stuff that reminds them of bloodsong, so expect more of this in the future ( ˶^ᗜ^˶ ) the meme for this post is quoting one of the possible lines from his act 2 confession! I only encountered it on my third playthrough, but it made me giggle like an idiot. I HATE HIM SO MUCH IT'S UNREAL

forgive me for the anatomy crimes, I wanted to draw some dynamic poses so I tried to have astarion gradually toppling my character over. I kept painting myself into a corner wondering "that's nice, but how am I supposed to draw this character from this angle (っ- ‸ - ς)"

@ink-cartoon helped me so much with the coloring it's insane, btw. they're responsible for all the special details / visual effects in this!
