Yasha longingly standing in the middle of the rain. That much wet hair can’t be comfortable, but comfort never stopped a fantasy character before.
Trying to do portraits of the characters that I’ve never did art for before. A few more to go.

any tips for someone looking to start 3d in blender? saw your mighty nein models, love your work!
Thanks! I've only used blender so far, and I personally really like it, I've heard that the latest version has a much more intuitive interface. It's also free.
Watch a lot of videos about it. Whether is tutorials to learn how to use the software, or process videos of people sculpting/modeling, there's a lot of content out there. Blender guru has a great series on the basics of 3d.
Remember that 3d is still art, so knowing how to do 2d will greatly improve your 3d and vice versa
Also sketchfab and polycount are great sites focused on 3d

I decided to embrace my inner weaboo and designed a magical girl. I plan on making a 3D sculpt based on this but I don’t know when

Jester portrait, took me longer that I thought it would, and I'm still not sure if I´m happy with the colors but oh well.
Enough portraits for a while.

Don't usually draw dudes, and when I do they're usually old and bearded. So this was a refreshing change.

Critical Role’s Jester illustration
It was supposed to be a simple waist-up drawing but i got carried away. I call this one lo-fi beats to relax while playing D&D

Hey, I love your 3d model of Nott v much. Did u do her all in blender? Did you box model her or do some sculpting? And how is it to do rigging and texturing in blender? I've only used Maya a whole lot, but have been told blender is a good time.
Thanks! It was all done in blender, except for a few tweaks to the textures in Photoshop, but nothing of notice. Except for the sandals and the belt+watch it was all sculpted and then retopo.
My only experience in 3d is blender so I can’t really compare it with other programs, although word on the street is that the UI is not very user friendly, but it’s free and there’s a bunch of tutorials out there so it may be worth it if you have the time. I like it
Hand painting the textures is fine although the tools could be better. As for the rigging, I think I need more practice, I’m not confident enough.
The biggest positive to blender is the community, It’s huge and if you have a problem, probably someone already posted a solution or tutorial somewhere.
