And my personal opinion, animal symbolism is not a reliable way of categorizing or classifying or defining spirits. Animals can represent so many different things depending on the person, the region, and the culture.

The same Spirit could show up as a fox the one person and a deer to another . my familiar has done this.

I noticed with my familiar he would show up as animals first. This has happened with me and with another individual who he has shown up to who I have verified this with. I'm just remembering he also showed up as a rabbit

Also snakes and crows.

Additionally, I don't think it's useful to try to come up with labels for groups of spirits. Well... It depends how you do it.

You have to find what is the essential part of the spirit, their culture essentially. In my many years talking with my familiar I'm going to call Barry... It is taking me years and years to understand what he is about, his values and what he appreciates and how he acts and what he stands for and what he enjoys

A relationship with a spirit takes time to marinate

Later on, I realized they probably did that because they could tell that I already had an affinity for cats and wanted to disguise themselves as something that would be somewhat familiar to me. Smart move. This does not mean that it is a cat Spirit or a cat goddess

My familiar is also not a man. I call him he, etc cuz he's fine with it, but he has explicitly told me that this is really just a mask. The reasons for why he presents mainly male, I personally connect to the fact that I am female. He represents knowledge that is other to me, that is hidden, and he is also like another lost part or fragment of me. I know this sounds very heterosexual but it's not like that lol

Spirits are very very fond of disguising themselves. I think it's actually like, and inactive part of their anatomy like they can't even necessarily control it that much

They don't have a solid physical form that goes with them from one place to another. It's like their part mirror and they reflect you back at yourself

leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist

put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.

when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!

plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.

if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge

if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.

its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.
