Spyro - A Reignited Beginning AU

Beyond the Dragon Realms and further than the Forgotten Worlds lies Warfang, the ancient capital of the dragons. Once the heart of all dragon society, it was abandoned when the Aether Guardian Malefor turned on his fellow Guardians and laid waste to the city. The Lands around Warfang were desolated, and became known as the Forbidden Wastes. Malefor himself was sealed, unable to be defeated thanks to his mastery of Aether.

Most dragons retreated to what are now the Forgotten Worlds, to where their society still stood strong. Over time, the dragons forgot Warfang despite the work of the Archivists thanks to those spies who still followed Malefor. After the disagreement with the Sorceress forced the dragons to retreat further, to what are now the Dragon Realms, a terrible storm destroyed much infrastructure, and caused some of the Homeworlds to become isolated from the rest – Aquifiers, Machinists, Explorers, and Archivists.

Without their history, the remaining Homeworlds fell into familiar patterns, becoming the Dragon Realms known today.

But there were those dragons who remained in the Forbidden Wastes, and slowly began to rebuild. They aided the other creatures of the wastes, making allies and slowly recovering what was lost. Warfang, however, remained poisoned by Malefor, and was never re-inhabited.

The dragons of the Wastes were guided by the Elemental Guardians – the order Malefor had once been a part of – and began to develop their own culture focusing on the elemental nature of their home. They eventually constructed New Warfang, a fortified city that could protect them in times of danger. Long after Malefor's defeat, and when enough time had passed for his menace to become a memory, his minions struck once more. They launched continuous guerrilla strikes on New Warfang, seemingly probing the defences and drawing the city's forces away from their true target – the eggs from the Year of the Dragon.

Only Guardian Ignitus remained to watch the eggs, and when he realized what had happened, his first thought was an egg touched by the power of Aether. Desperate to prevent Malefor from getting the egg, he fought off the servants of Malefor that had come to steal it. During his fight, both parties were interrupted by an Egg Thief that had snuck into the Wastes all the way from the Dragon Realms. The Thief stole the Aether-touched egg, vanishing into the night.

Furious at his failure, Ignitus tore through the beasts and returned to the hatchery, only to be met with a devastating sight – some of the eggs were missing, and most others were smashed. Feeling shamed, the Guardian fought hard through the rest of Malefor's forces. Despite the city being safe, Ignitus exiled himself and devoted the rest of his life to finding the missing eggs. The rest of the Guardians disbanded and went their separate ways.

The Egg Thief, meanwhile, made its way back to the Dragon Realms with it's prize, dodging Malefor's forces all the while. Upon reaching the Artisan Home, it finally felt safe and prepared to settle in with the egg... only to be defeated by Nestor, leader of the Artisans. Perplexed by an egg that he knew had not been a part of the Year of the Dragon, he took it to be hatched with the others.

The egg eventually hatched into the dragon now known as Spyro, whose adventures are only beginning...

This was an idea I had recently to try and fuse the concepts of the Legend of Spyro with the Reignited Trilogy. Not sure how this will progress since I can't draw Spyro stuff and I'll probably end up distracted, but I figured I'd throw this up here anyways.

Aquifiers and Machinists are cut Homeworlds, while I created Explorers and Archivists for the AU.

Explorers: The Explorers are responsible for mapping the Realms, and ensuring that all dragons know of any travel delays. They work with the Magic Crafters to ensure that the portals work correctly and lead to the right places.

Archivists: The dragons of the Archivists' home are responsible for the Dragon Realms' history; both cataloging it and discovering new things that have been forgotten.

Any characters that were renamed are due to Hero's Tail / Shadow Legacy having the same names as Reignited characters, but different appearances and ages. I tried to keep the spirit of both the original names and the Homeworld when choosing the new names.

Elemental Guardians - Those who instruct young dragons in the ways of elemental manipulation, be it via their Breath or by other means. Aether Guardians may come from any of the homeworlds, and are capable of wielding any element.

Note: Light dragons are capable of using Shadow due to it's connection to Light.

ECO HYPOTHESIS

Has anyone ever wondered if there could be other types of eco than the ones we already seen in JnD? It is canon that light eco is the combination of four primary ecos (green, blue, red, yellow), so what if there are secondary eco that is also combination of two ecos.

Primary Ecos:

Green Eco - Healing, nature

Blue Eco - Speed, electricity

Red Eco - Strength

Yellow Eco - Heat-blast, fire

Secondary Eco:

Teal Eco - ???

Pink Eco - ???

Orange Eco - ???

Lime Eco - ???

It could even go one step further and make Bruce himself a Baby Assassin... before their deaths, Thomas and Martha enrolled him in a junior spymaster course because of his love for Zorro. It was only after he started training with the League that he realized there was nothing "junior" about it.

Batfam AU

A multiversal battle results in basically every piece of Batmedia winding up in the possession of Thomas and Martha Wayne when Bruce is a baby.

They find themselves at a crossroads. Either they die, or their son does. In desperation to find a happier path, they come to a conclusion: Thomas must willingly assume the mantle of Batman, while Martha is Batwoman. If Gotham requires a sacrifice, let this be theirs.

Using copious amounts of comicbooks, audacity, and the fact that now they're both superheroes, they do it. They live to see Bruce grow up.

Today I learned that the original Magi-Nation TCG is holding late pledges for a Kickstarter to finally release an expansion that was never published.

To celebrate, I've decided to post these versions of the crests of the various regions of the Moonlands.

Some of them are different to the originals on the cards, but I had a lot of fun making them.

This is a project I've been working on - a hypothetical expansion to the Eco system we see in-game. The extra colours come from the idea that mixing two kinds of Eco result in a different effect.

All colours can be found in the Alt Text.

Starting off, we have the six Primary Colours of Eco. Lost Frontier isn't the best game, but I liked the concept of Dark Eco being able to be turned into other colours.

My hypothetical Eco Cycle has Dark Eco holding the potential to turn into any of the four main colours - a starting point. The four main colours can then be combined to form Light Eco. After a time, the Light Eco homogenizes again and turns into Dark Eco. Dark -> Main Four -> Light -> Dark, etc.

Next up, combining Dark Eco with any of the four Main Colours will invert those properties. These aren't negative by any means; each has it's own role within the world.

Combining Light Eco with the four Main Colours amplifies their properties. Despite Light Eco being the Eco of Preservation, these all tend to affect dramatic change on the world. As a funny note, all of the names I picked are related to plants.

Finally, combining two of the Main Colours will result the Secondary colours, which have an effect determined by the two base colours. These tend to be a bit more conceptual in nature. They were also the first of the new colours I created.

Anyone who wants to use these extra colours is more than welcome to.

I've been working on these for a while - blank Troll Call cards that are free for anyone to use. In addition to the Canon blood colors, I've included the Spritebloods from the Crow Strider AU by @meraki-sunset. These include the Spritebloods included in the AU itself, as well as the various Spritebloods from the various asks the author has answered.

I also made two different Anonymous cards, just in case people want to use them.

I updated the various pictures by adding the blood color in small hexes beneath the cards.

They've also been arranged in order this time, and the names of each color have been moved to the image descriptions.

I've also added a new category - the fusionbloods from This post. I've given them tentative labels since they don't have official ones, and both "Grape" and "Dark Magenta" are only a few shades off from Purple and Violet.

I've updated the Silver / Anonymous to be Greybloods / Anonymous. Only one colour is from the Crow Strider extras; the others are simply some anonymous colours for folks' enjoyment. There are also a total of five greyblood cards now, to match the other colours.

I've updated the Fusion Cards to include the trolls from this post. Some of the names of the blood colors have been updated as well: Creamsicle is now Marigold, and Dark Magenta is now Mauvine. Midnight is short for Midnight Blue; since all blood colors are a single word, I just kept it short.

This also brings the total number of available colors to 30 - 26 if the various anonymous cards aren't included. --- EDITED March 12, 2025 --- > Capitalized "Edited" from previous update to "EDITED". > Increased the lightness on the "Alabaster" colour to better differentiate it from **Silver. > Added clarification above post.
