It's like those isekai fanfiction where one's soul completely goes to another world, so, yes! Leo's soul has been completely sent to a different world.

What about his brothers? I can't tell you that because it's a spoiler lol.

This has given me a wonderful idea.

King Thrash must have had an old map of the territories and gave it to her when she was planning the world tour. She then recruited a special species of bat called Mimic Wings.

These bats look similar to a fruit bat but have larger feathery ears, and they can mimic any sound they have heard. She sends them out to the territories to pinpoint the villages exact locations and get the names of the leaders. They can stay far enough away to not get spotted by the other trolls while also gaining intel thanks to their hearing.

Branch, once again, gets adopted by these cuties due to his bat-like tendencies.

Ok, but I knew the thing I really wanted to know was just how the heck Barb even knew about Poppy and Branch!? Like, at the beginning of the World Tour, Barb sends an invitation specifically to Queen Poppy, when the pop trolls had been completley isolated for generations and spent the past 20 years in hiding with Poppy only recently being coronation as Queen. How did she not only know where Pop Village was, but the name of their queen!? We know from later interactions that the two had never even met before.

And later on, she knew Branch's name! She had zero reason to know the name of this random troll. The Kpop Gang and Reggaeton Trio had no reason to think Branch had any connection to apoppy at all besides being a pop troll. Yet both Barb specifically called out to and recognized used Branch when he tried to save Poppy and the two bounty hunter groups somehow knew Branch had enough of a connection to Poppy to know at their first meeting he'd be a good hostage to use.

And again, the background of Poppy and Branch is that this is their first time ever interacting with trolls of different genres and the Pop Trolls in particular had msot of their history either re-written or lost over generations of Trollstice and ancestors hiding the truth

That's a major hole that even I can't seem to fill in my au. She can learn Branch's name by the captured pop trolls, but how she learned Poppy's name is a mystery

During Just Sing, Delta sings with Branch and Prince D, and it's honestly adorable because I'm pretty sure Delta has all but confirmed Branch is at least somewhat connected to JD. His mannerisms and the way he jumped to protect Poppy is just way too similar to some of the stunts JD would perform for her to not make a connection. She doesn't know exactly how they're connected, but she has suspicions.

She was extremely suspicious, especially when she saw Branch move his ears to listen to his surroundings. JD did it all the time when they dated.

Delta probably realized before any other member if a different tribe thay Branch was mute, mainly because she saw that notebook and had a brain. The fact Branch looks like his brother doesn't help because that only serves to have her pay more attention to him.

I imagine when he got turned into a rock zombie, Delta, in particular, had been horrified and pissed. Even if she was somewhat salty about the the pop trio performing a jailbreak after offending the entire town, that sweet boy reminds her more and more of JD every time she sees him, especially with that silly little hat he was wearing on the blimp and the reckless way he jumped to protect Poppy.

She had flashbacks from when JD was exploring the country territory and always managed to get into trouble.

She also had some stern words for Barb after reviving the music. I feel like Barb didn't have a motherly role model.

She did notice the mute thing but thought it was due to an injury and not trauma. Her mama bear senses were flying for this quiet troll

YES! Totally perfect. But now I'm curious on what Poppy would sing.

I jsut adore how Branch and Poppy ha e both grown over the series because like... if you watch Trolls 1 and then skip straight to Trolls 3, the differences between the two and their maturity levels are night and day! They both grew so much and it was done so subtly Ober the entire series you really don't notice it in a marathon and only if you just... skip part of the story

The push each other to grow into better versions of themselves. Branch to be open to relationships and Poppy to take more caution in certain situations

One thing I really wish they had focused in a bit more, aside from the criminally undermining of Branch's abandonment trauma, is that I wish there had been some time for people to actually properly react to Branch secretly having pop superstar brother's and being in a boy band, especially in relation to how be used to be in Trolls 1.

A lot of rabid fans did try to corner him and his brothers, but they couldn't get past the Branch Gaurd. Especially with Mr. Dinkles and Bessey, the bluegrass dairy buffalo, leading the charge.

Branch is NOT afraid of birds in this au. He even babysits the hatchlings when the parents need a food run

Somehow I jsut can't see Mute! Branch willingly or actively taking part in the Pop Medley. He outright stated it was a bad idea and he's still getting used to being comfortable singing at all. I can imagine him joining in at first because it's jsut more of Poppy's crazy, spontaneous singing that he's gotten used to to dragged into (Love Train), but when he notices the distinctly displeased and unhappy looks on the country trolls I can see him not only being the one to noticed hut actively trailing off and kinda just... stopping mid performance for a second.

He tries to talk Poppy out of it, but we all know how stubborn she can be. As much as he would like to leave the performance, he can't. He doesn't want to leave Poppy on the stage when she inevitably offends someone, Biggie is there, but he's a huge softie, and he doesn't truly trust Mr. Dinkles to hold back.

Now, JD crashing the wedding had an unintended consequence. The Bergans, they KNOW Branch. Pretty well, actually. He's the skittish little guy who helped Queen Poppy to show them what true happiness is and is seen hanging out with their king every time the Trolls visit. He was hands down the Best Man at King Gristle Jr.'s wedding. Suddenly, having a long-lost family member crashing said wedding to drag him off on yet another adventure, one he'd apparently kept secret, is very hot gossip.

It spread like wildfire, and the trolls even sent letters to friends from the other tribes to share the hot gossip.

I wouldn't mind at all. Branch would definitely step back and try to mimic his body language, his ears would be perked up to catch any sound of sudden movement.

I have a weakness for the nocturnal motifs, be it bats to owls I can't help but love them ❤️

I have a question for your Leonardoe au

How was Splinter's reaction to Doe coming out? Was he worried that she'll have the same fate as his beloved mother?

I'm also curious to how Draxum would react

So the Hamato legacy, atleast in this au, transfers down throught he girls of the bloodline, so when Doe really feels comfortable in her gender, the Hamato ancestors start to reach out to her despite her Ninpo not being unlocked. They try to force it to unlock so she can begin her training

Splinter, on the other had, afraid of Doe meeting the same fate as his mother, lives in denial. He supports her identity, but really.. doesn't change how he treats her. He tries to brush off Doe's concern about the Ninpo spirits, then they'll go away

Draxum on the other hand, doesn't really know what being trans is. He was aware Doe was female, but didn't really care much about how she was presenting. When Draxum does become closer to the family, he's kinda bad about misgendering her in the beginning, not really understanding what the brothers meant when they said she was trans. He looked it up and assumed that meant that she was trans masc due to her being biologically female. After a while, Draxum gets educated and realizes his mistake

The little side but of JD and Delta is cute. Like, JD seems like the type to not settle down so having Delta ad a support and friend to keep him from being reckless is really nice. Actually a bit similar to how Branch keeps Poppy grounded and vice versa. Wonder what Delta would think if she ever learned Branch and actually liked her sad song before Poppy crashed her concerts

When JD first heard country music, he cried for the first time since his parents were eaten. Delta helped him properly mourn for his lost family, worried that all that repressed sorrow would make him snap.

When she first saw Branch, she could see a lot of repressed sorrow in his eyes. When she heard he liked country, she gave him some records to listen to. These were an assortment designed to help get as much sadness out as possible. It was the same ones she used on John.
