The fact that Branch is canonically adorable. Like, there are multiple instances of characters calling Branch cute or even handsome, but adorable and cute seem to be the most vommon descriptions. Like, Synth even says once that Branch needs to "save some adorable for the rest of us" when asking someone to look after his bunker and coining the term bunker-nanny to do so

While Pop trolls are still working on getting their own currency, there’s one thing that has been used in place of that which Branch has no idea about.

Cute photos of Branch in exchange for items they want, the cuter the picture, the better the item. Brozone and Kismet have a monopoly on those photos, while the Branch Gaurd also act as secret paparazzi for hire.

The variety grows when Trollstopia is settled.

John Dory and “The Littles”

As “Brilliant Blue and Muted Magenta” nears its one year anniversary I find myself going back and reading chapters all over again and still crying over these characters. I’ve been actively working on drawing to try and bring some of this to life. I want you guys to see the vision the way I do 😭

Honestly it’s been a wild ride so far. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and this little work of fiction. While my writing May has slow down recently, my passion sure hasn’t 💖 I look forward to another year of BBAMM!!

Part 3 of The Argument in my Muted Colors AU

Branch, Poppy, and Clay are working out a proper plan. With John Dory keeping to the sides, preferring to mainly let them figure it out.

Bruce, though, is coming to some realizations about his youngest brother thanks to his olders own admittance. And he feels more than a little silly with how it had to literally be spelled out for him. It seems so obvious now. Their colors are so dull.

Thinking about how to tie Branch going gray and choosing not to sing again, music coming from inside their hearts and giving the trolls their colors back in the end of the 2nd movie, and Floyd going transparent/white rather than gray when his talent/music is used up

So, the different Tribes... they all love Branch. Not just because he and Poppy saved music, but because he was able to do that while also being mute and Grey. And you can bet the royals will be hearing about Brozone at some point, if only because Branch is probably gonna have more noticeable injuries from the confrontation with Velvet and Veneer (Velvet literally backhanded him, he tiny that had to have hurt and potentially broke bones) and also because there's suddenly these 4 strangers surrounding their favorite pop troll.

Barb totally breaks JD's nose.

When the group returns to pop village, Poppy immediately calls the other tribes to tell them about what happened and to be wary in case something like this happens again.

The rulers get there quickly along with their best doctors to make sure they're all OK. JD, Bruce, and Clay seem to be fine, if a little dizzy and fatigued. Floyd's condition was more concerning. He's going to need physical therapy and time to get back to how he was. His hair, though, will most likely continue to have white at the roots.

Branch had few bruised ribs and exhaustion, but nothing too serious.

Trollex and Trolzart are disappointed with the brothers after hearing what happened, but ultimately respected Branch's feelings, so they weren't chewed out too harshly.

Barb, on the other hand, immediately tried to attack them, getting a good hit on JD before Sid Fret could hold her back. It's going to be a while for her to trust them with her unofficial brother.

Delta was surprisingly cordial with them, saying she's disappointed but will give them a chance to redeem themselves. This is mostly because she and JD used to date before they mutually decided to break up.

Essence and Quincy sensed there were many unresolved traumas they were suppressing and offered to help them get in contact with a good family therapist. Each of them obviously have issues to work through, Bruce has fewer issues thanks to Brandy's ever loving support.

Out of curiosity, when you were designing Branch based on my au, what was the first thing that popped in your head?

OH!

I'd say since the second post of the AU I believe? I just now got around to actually draw the design because of how busy I was so I had a while thinking it over with each update

And the first thing that came to mind when I read it was the scarf he keeps around his neck since no one else in the village wears any kind of cover on the neck(as far as I know) so it's kind of a sign of silence for Branch just a little idea I had in mind when designing him

Imagine Poppy is polygamous yet still dating Branch. Branch is fine with this since he's used to Poppy being so friendly with everyone that even being lovey dovey with Barb and Viva... :> Or just crushing on other trolls. As long as it isn't a guy like Creek, Branch is fine with it... xddd

I’m drawing again for like the first time in 10 years and struggling to stick with a style. Just a part of the learning process I guess!! My biggest obstacle is my need for everything to be a ‘completed piece’. The perfectionist in me comes out the most when creating because I want it to be GOOD. Part of the problem with that is that I end up with super long waiting times between post (side note: part of the reason chapters take so long is because I want them JUST RIGHT!)

To make up for my constant disappearances, please accept this little batch of practice doodles and stuff. It’s all Brilliant Blue and Muted Magenta per usual 🤭 (You can find and Read on AO3!)
