No, I did not say that. I'm saying that J2 are more progressive than Singer/Dabb and they also recognize issues that the previous showrunners didn't. Singer didn't even understand what it meant to fridge Charlie. Jared called out queerbaiting that was done unintentionally. So I expect any revival to be more progressive than the original show.

Between commissions I occasionally draw what I’m watching/currently in to. Right now, it is SPN! Supernatural, I am finally FINALLY watching it. It’s good, I quite enjoy it! When I’m done with my latest batch of commissions I have a Castiel one in the works. What do you think?

No, Jared didn't mention Destiel. I can't say what he said, so I'm trying to figure out how to talk around it.

Basically, J2 were unhappy with some of the directions of SPN in later seasons and they want more control of the story. They've talked multiple times about how they don't want to make it darker or curse more. They haven't talked much about what they want to add to it.

They've also made it clear that this isn't about a cash grab. They are only going to do it if the story makes sense. I think it will be more progressive and queer than the OG show, but they could do that without touching Destiel. It all depends on who they hire for a writer/showrunner.

So percentage chance on canon deancas in the revival…

Same as the percentage I gave it going canon in TW: 0%.

I actually used to think there was a small chance it would go canon in the main series, although I was doubtful. Once I heard the ending, then I moved my prediction to zero and it hasn't moved from that. I'll adjust with new evidence! ETA: Jared said something fairly recently in a m&g that sort of pinged my radar, but with J2 as EPs, I don't see it happening without Jensen changing his mind on the topic. Previously, I thought they would go where the money was, but while I think that might've happened before, J2 aren't in it for the money and won't change their story for money.

I wasn't talking about SPN, but Misha. Now some people are going to expect Destiel in the revival because it isn't going to be on the CW, but unless Jensen has changed his mind about Destiel, it's not going to happen. The CW wasn't the reason Destiel didn't go canon.

Anon, I'm waiting to listen for myself before I respond to your ask, but if Misha did say what people are saying he said, that's a bit different. There's parts where I'm pretty sure he's being sarcastic, but people are taking him seriously and that's a huge problem in this fandom.

If you get upset about being accused of queer baiting, maybe don't queer bait?? Certainly don't accuse others of doing so when there's no evidence that they were and previously you said that they weren't.

Again, I want to see the videos before I make a judgement.

Something about Sam is that he's unable to let sleeping dogs lie. It's particularly evident in episodes like Its a Terrible Life in s4 which brings a particularly interesting revelation to his character that, despite spending much of the earlier seasons wanting to be normal, wanting out of hunting, it is Sam who actually has this innate hunger to pick up and at loose threads. Unlike Dean who in both this episode and the wider narrative for the most part is content to living according to the standard set by the Authority Figure, Sam keeps pushing and pushing and pushing to live authentically. The thing is that Sam is willing to tear down everything, pick the whole tapestry apart for the truth, in the belief that knowing is the first step to putting things right - even at the cost of himself. In s6 after Sam gets his soul back Dean begs him once he finds out about the wall and his soullessness not to go digging or probing, but Sam's incapable of doing this. He knows what probing at his memories will do but he outright tells Dean he's going to do it anyway because he needs to know to set it right. He's been shielded or guarded from the truths about himself for his entire life by the people he has trusted the most, so I suppose it's really no wonder he turned out to be a guy who can's stand for the 'ignorance is bliss' thing.

Yeah, this is what I heard too. I also heard that the new WBD leads weren't as friendly as the old ones, but it sounds like that isn't going to get in the way. It's about finding the scheduling and finding the right writer/showrunner. They are being really pick about writer/showrunner as they should.

Yeah, I vague-d about it a bit ago where I said that, if the rumor is true, it's odd that Misha is doing cons with him, but maybe Misha hasn't heard/hadn't yet heard or maybe it's just a rumor.
