Thinking about my dream season 16 where every episode before cas comes back starts with a flashback to a "missing scene" from dean and cas' relationship, the fanfiction gap from season 9, making and giving cas the mixtape, movie nights, etc, before going on with the rest of the episode. Kinda lik how episodes of the winchesters always started with dean narration relevant to the episode. Episode 1 starts with a flashback to cas rescuing dean from hell btw

I simply don’t like when people act like what happened to Jack is what should have happened (as if the show didn’t deliberately spell out it would be Bad beforehand!), or like we can hand-wave GodJack as being fine and good in a continuation as long as other ~more important topics~ like destiel are eventually addressed.

Jack’s fate is the crux of the tragedy of the finale. Supernatural is a show about parents and children, and that cycle of violence remains unbroken. Jack was forced to become like his grandfather (the cosmic Father of the universe) because that’s who his fathers needed/wanted him to be. Jack shouldn’t be seen as an afterthought or a side note. He’s the thematic center that ties everything together, including the queer family structure of destiel.

So here’s my hot take: whether or not they go fully explicit with any kind of Chuck won concept (and they don’t necessarily have to)… any continuation must address that what happened to Jack isn’t a good thing — for him, for their family, or for the universe since the show stated God shouldn’t have personhood — in order to truly be fulfilling.

Something that would fix me: see on my screen Cas or Dean hug the other from behind in the bunker's kitchen, arms wrapped around the waist and head resting on the shoulder. You get it. You get the visual.

The possibility of a revival of supernatural makes me really nervous. It's not that I don't want it, but I do have some demands:

1. All the writers, producers and directors have to be actual fans of the show. Meaning they not only have to know all the lore and characters, but also know random shit that comes with being a fan and having watched the show several times.

2. Cas, I'm not watching it if he's not there. He's been treated like a disposable character enough, Cas is a favorite for a reason, give him to us.

3. I want Destiel, even if I don't get the kiss(I really want the kiss), I want the soft looks and handholding and no doubt that Dean loves him back romantically. (Cas needs to hear that he is loved)

4. They have to give Dean and Cas a hopeful ending that doesn't end with any of them dying.

Supernatural season 16 where they go with the Chuck Won theory. It's the finale and Carry On Wayward Son starts playing as its doing the road so far bit, and all the clips are centered around Chuck and plot stuff and the characters being miserable. Suddenly it cuts to black. You hear the sounds of a cassette being taken out of a tape deck, and Dean grumbling about how he's "so sick of that damn song" as a different tape is put in. The picture cuts back in as Led Zeppelin starts playing, and the scenes being shown shift from Chuck and the plot to character centric moments of growth and good memories and emotional scenes from throughout the season. Something about taking back your own story. Something about picking the music.
