Tea Time with Emma
3K posts
Hello! My name is Emma and I love the art of Afternoon Tea! I know afternoon tea inside and out, I've worked in multiple tea houses over 10 years and love to go to any afternoon tea place. Maybe one day I'll open up my own tea shop! But for now I'll be drinking tea and looking at all the pretty teacups! Follow me on Instagram: @teatime_withemma

We went to the Windsor Hotel for high tea and it was so fun. The food was delicious, and the tea selection was crazy. You also get some champagne but I can’t drink much so I didn’t take advantage of that.
Everything tasted so delicious and I especially loved the biscuits with the jam and whipped cream. Always a favorite of mine. I’m a sucker for the savoury items.
Definitely recommend for a fun girls trip.

I’m in Richmond, VA for a conference and couldn’t resist taking myself out for afternoon tea at The Jefferson. This historic hotel has a fascinating history I would recommend googling, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tea time beneath the stained glass ceiling. Southern hospitality was evident in every aspect: from the setting, to the portions, to my attentive and engaging waiter. I sampled The Jefferson’s proprietary black tea blend, which was classic and satisfying. The savouries and sweets were all delicious, but I would have preferred a few less carbs. In-season chocolate covered strawberries always have my support, and the mousse cup tasted exactly like a churro, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall it was a tranquil and delightful afternoon well spent. #teatime #afternoontea #teatimemagfeed @teatimemagazine #teatier #teasweets #teasavories #teasandwiches #thisisteatime #blacktea #tealover #afternoontealover #liveluxury #southernhospitality #victoriamagazine https://www.instagram.com/p/B0t4AxeAy2V/?igshid=1nuzobj1e9f5t

Hello, this is my first time asking you something, but I wanted to ask what food's and teas would you recommend for a fairytale themed tea party.
I know books are kinda involved with tale, but I'm trying to figure out the mystical side of fairytale for it.
When I think of fairytale elements, I think of florals and woodsy. Lots of greenery mixed with pastel colors.
Food - cucumber & basil sandwiches, toadstool cupcakes 🍄, shortbread decorated with edible flowers, lemon/lavender bars, egg salad sandwiches with dill, and a simple scone but with fresh strawberry jam & cream. Add edible flowers, herbs, and fruit to help display the food.
Teas - earl grey lavender or rose tea. For some extra magic make butterfly pea flower tea, then add lemon juice to turn it a pink/purple! 💜
I hope this helps you to plan your tea party! Let me know how it goes 😊
