So at this point I've changed them so much, they might as well have new names. They're more ocs based on canon characters, very much like TRC.

And tbh I never liked their canon names anyway. Like they usually don't say anything about the character, or are way too close to common human names for comfort.

So new names to go with new designs. Except for like Gizmo and Buttons they've hardly changed since my second pass at them.

What's your thoughts on Starlight Glimmer?

Honestly I love her!

She was a great addition to the cast, both as a villain and then hero.

I also really liked that she isn't the 7th member of the Mane 6. Instead cultivating her own group of friends. Love that!

The "star" family

We don't know about who Sunny's canon mother is, and her dad died of disney parent so I'm not left with much to work with here

So I doodled up a character I'm naming "Sandy Starscout" Ya very classic tragic forbidden lovers trope, both from different pony tribes but were brought together by love.

Will flesh that out more later lol, but I'm thinking Sandy spent some time posing as an Earth Pony in Maritime Bay before being discovered and banished, forced to leave her beloved husband and daughter behind. And has since been hoping and dreaming for things to get better so she can reunite with her family.

Do you think the other mane 6 and possible other characters,like starlight,should've become alicorns?

I dont personally think anyone should be one

It trivializes Twilight's accomplishments and makes alicornhood less special

Did you know that making Opaline not hideous is extremely easy to do?

Still needs cleaning up, but I've made her a "pseudo alicorn" like Sunny is Both are earth ponies in their base form

To explain a little further, because I also find myself falling for the trap of giving earth ponies more unique shit before stopping myself

To me giving them a special earth pony thing tm has a strong utilitarian message. That you're not really worthy if you don't have something very special and useful to bring to the table.

It's something my reworked Sunny deals with, as she also has a very dismissive attitude towards earth ponies. Why be an earth pony when you can fly and do magic amiright?

Sunny, and hopefully the audience, will need to learn that all ponies have value just for being ponies. Doesn't matter if you have wings or a horn or neither, you're still worth being loved and cherished. What you can do and who you are are very different things.

Earth Ponies having a passive and subtle magic is what makes them special. I kinda see them as the heart of ponies. Reliable and always ready to put their best hoof forward.

What you think about that plant magic they gave to the earth ponies in g5?

I just think its kinda dumb

Idk man I just got ponies on the brain

Changed them up a bit since last time, as is common 'round these parts

Namely I felt the need to change Hitch's mane from raspberry to lemon, because I noticed that I was using too many pink/red coloured manes. Its important to keep note of that kind of thing, esp for a group like this. I've fallen down that trap before and I probably will again.

And the first time I drew Misty I hadn't changed her story at all, so she didn't really need any change, but things have changed since then!

I don't even think I NEEDED to change her that much, but she also doesn't really need a stock pony body either. Love her dad's thicc frame, so I wanted that for her

Fav thing is Pipp being so teeny weeny. She kinda reminds me of piggies and I love that.

Do you think that there's the possibility that official Miraculous could be "fixed*?

I mean, outside of the movie and a reboot. If they threw away all the writers and brought, I dunno, Dana Terrace? Could the new writers fix things using everything that was already laid out?

And if so, any idea of how it would be possible?

I think if Season 5 didnt exist, I would say it was possible

But as is, I dont think so. It sucks to feel that way, but too much rubbish has happened that would need to be retconned out of existence

Soft reboots are hard to get right even for a good show, but for this one its impossible i think

Plus you would still need to watch the whole show to get the full experience, which would mean slogging through 5 seasons of shit to get to the good stuff. Wouldnt make sense

So long answer short

No, this show is unsalvageable in my eyes

Yes and no??

Yes i regret wasting so many hours on a show that ultimately wasted my time

But i'm still proud of everything i created around it

Still some of my best work imo

But mainly yes i do regret it

For someone who's afraid of horses, I sure am drawing them a lot these days

Like so many, I have been left disappointed with MLP G5, especially after really enjoying the movie.

So for some fun, here's some minor redesigns of the main cast because I honestly really like them. Zipp and Pipp are the only designs I don't really like. Giving them matching coats should help visually convey that they're sisters lol.

What are the sunstone,moonstone and starstone?

In universe they are the Enchanted Jewels, magical stones that allow their wielders to transform and use their powers Aka the Magical Girl transformation items

There are more than just three, and they are all space themed. They all represent astronomical objects. Earth Stone, Mercury Stone, Mars Stone etc

But the main trio's stones (Sun, Moon and Star (and another secret one)) are the only ones capable of transforming their wielders. The others can't.

Still needs fleshing out obvs But for now the idea is that Planet Stones can't transform you, but stuff like suns, satellites and other tm can Solely for the sake of not being like Sailor Moon lol

I just wanted to say I love your Gwenevere reboot idea and I'm very excited to see more!! Seeing your illustrations really motivated me to work on my own horse girl/magical girl series that I almost abandoned a few months ago!
