It’s been a while since I had time or motivation to come up with a *real* collection but I had hit 1k a while ago and I couldn’t celebrate without giving a gift.

We have 7 items, 6 earrings one necklace. All have a minimum of 2-4 swatches. Maybe more, I honestly can’t remember.

HQ compatible, majority are unisex though the Mary Jane Set may have clipping on males.

My TOU isn’t that strict. 

Just don’t take credit for my meshes or upload them behind ad.fly or any pay sites.

Island Living Counter - Counter Islands

The Island Living expansion brought along a very nice counter, but oddly enough, an Island variant of this counter was absent from the game, so I created one using the regular counter as a base!

Contains all of the default swatches and can be placed like any other counter. To make use of the end pieces, be sure to turn off auto-counters and place them manually. One thing to note is that the “curved” corner pieces do not exist, but all other counter pieces do.

Four years?!?!?!?!?!

Wow! It’s really been four years since I’ve been on Tumblr! 

My name is Terin. I’m a recent college graduate.  This Tumblr was originally created as a space to highlight awesome iOS content, but I think I’m going to repurpose to be...... wait for it......

ALL SIMS 4 EVERYTHING! Black shit only though.

So tell me why I’m just realizing that Black Simmers are a real ass thing? I was up for half of the night downloading new items to make my Sims world Black as fuck. Unapologetically.

The Android Experience...Again

It was a cold day in April.  The Galaxy S6 had only been on the market for a few days.  It wasn’t on my radar, but one day, I walked into a T-Mobile store and traded my 128GB iPhone 6 for a 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge.

This phone is beautiful!  The Edge features are more of a gimmick, but it doesn’t matter.  The looks and the camera definitely make up for it.  I don’t even want to discuss the battery.  Let’s just say, I searched high and low for a root option so that I can install the unofficial 5.1.1 update.  Problem solved!

I didn’t have a hard time finding comparable apps.  I do miss Camera+, though.  Everything else was pretty much there in the form of an official app or a blatant knockoff.

To seal the deal, I also got a Moto 360.  I’m not a big watch fan, but I did find myself wearing it every day.  Unfortunately, it’s not an absolute must have, so I’ve been without it all week... And I haven’t missed it.

Anyway, I’m excited about my upcoming months with Android devices.  Hopefully, I’ll have a chance to update more on the experience.

I am new to workflows on iOS, but a definite must have when starting is LCP. It is, essentially, a portal of commonly used actions in one place. From texting a friend when I arrive at work to pasting my clipboard to a file on iCloud.

If you are looking to spend a little time simplifying your iOS workflow, then LCP is a must. It has the ability to organize your tasks into actions (left photo) or groups (right photo).

Why I Chose iOS over Android

Once upon a time, after my SideKick and Blackberry phase, I was introduced to Android.  My first Android device was a Motorola Devour.  It ran Android 1.6 (Donut) and it sucked... So bad that I had to get three of them before Verizon gave me a Droid.  During my early Android days, I wasn't into rooting.  I used tons of widgets and didn't even know what a custom launcher was.  I was happy with it because Verizon didn't have iPhones, which is what I really wanted.

Enter 2011.  Verizon announced the iPhone 4 on their network and I stayed awake until 3a.m. to order one.  I got off early on the day it was to be delivered and ended up driving to the UPS hub to pick it up.  The first app that I downloaded was Instagram.  My first picture?  My Droid 2 that I was giving up.  Ever since then, I've been going back and forth between Android and iOS.

Why I Like Android

I like Android because of how easy it is to customize.  Don't like the launcher? Download a new one.  Don't like the icons? Get an icon set.  Same with messaging apps and system fonts.  

Why I Love iOS

iOS has always been the frontrunner in terms of apps and design.  That's what I fell in love with.  It wasn't about the simplicity of iOS (which has evolved over the years).  In fact, I hate the lack of customization options available in iOS.  I do love that it's damn near unbreakable.  I tend to jailbreak every iPhone I get my hands on to give me a "best of both worlds" experience, and that works for me.

Why I Chose iOS This Time

Android is great with the release of KitKat and Lollipop.  The apps available are comparable to those on iOS, and its still ahead of stock iOS when it comes to customization. 

Problem is, there are too many skins to choose from.  Each offering a different feel and taking away key aspects of Android that should be left in place.  The spec race being more important than updating devices.  For example, KitKat has been available for over a year, and it's only on 34% of Android devices.  That's just terrible, and until something can be done about that, iOS is the way to go for me.

Having software updates on day 1... Having access to top of the line apps that are exclusive to iOS... Having the ability to customize (via jailbreak)...  The size of the iPhone 6/6 Plus... The camera...  The perfect device for me.

And who knows what the future will hold for Android...  I still have my eyes on that Moto X (2014)!

Thoughts On Qualcomm's New Snapdragon 810

Ars Technica: Snapdragon 810 will come with a 8-core processor, compromising of 4 Cortex A57 cores and 4 Cortex A53 cores, an arrangement ARM calls “big.LITTLE”. Interestingly, Qualcomm will be switching away from its own custom-designed “Krait” CPU architecture to off-the-shelf CPU designs from ARM.

Terin: Is that really necessary for the new versions of Android? I think we are forgetting that KitKat and Lollipop were designed for phones with lower specs.

Ars Technica: It would also mean that most Android based smartphones will be finally powered by a 64-bit chip, and bring it on par with iOS devices that have been powered by 64-bit devices since 2013 with the introduction of the A7 chip. With the 32-bit chip, smartphone makers were limited to 4GB memory, it now gives them the option to include up to 16GB RAM, though we don’t expect that to be happening anytime soon.

Terin: 64-bit... On Android... Hmmm... That will be interesting, to say the least. And 16GB RAM? Have we learned nothing from the Moto X (2013)? Doesn't take all of that to run Android.

Ars Technica: It will also include the new Adreno 430 GPU, which will not only be 30 percent faster than the Adreno 420 GPU in the Snapdragon 805, but will also consume 20 percent less power. It is also interesting to note that just like Adreno 420 GPU, the 430 will also support the same 3840×2160 maximum resolution as Qualcomm expects 4K screens to be more common.

Terin: 4K... Well this is why we love Samsung! And if they keep releasing phones at their current speed, then the last statement will be 100% true.

Ars Technica: It will also support Category 9 LTE, which increases the maximum theoretical download speed to 450Mbps (upload speeds remain the same at 50Mbps).

Terin: I am all for this! All... For... It!!!

Terin: At the end of the day... I wonder how much information was given to them about the A9 chip that is being produced by Samsung. Companies like Qualcomm don't just ditch their custom architecture... Just sayin...
