My fascination with A.I.
The reason that I chose this topic and what fascinates me the most is the fact that it is something I will have to deal with and run into in my future career. There are many things that fascinate me, this one stuck because of its relevance to my current life and my future. I think what had me very motivated was the fact that technology, specifically A.I. is constantly changing and I wanted to constantly find and research the most updated study found. Artificial Intelligence has always fascinated me and I was very motivated and inspired to find out what exactly it stems from and how it came about. I am very happy I got the opportunity to do this project because I probably would not have researched this on my own time, so this gave me an opportunity to find out more.

How does A.I. feel about technology in education?
When I asked Chat GPT about technology in education, I was not surprised that it was all positive feedback because of the fact that A.I. is a big thing in education. One of the things it pointed out was the virtual classroom options like zoom and Microsoft teams. This is useful because it can allow teachers to interact with the students and parents without having to physically meet. This was also a big thing during the COVID 19 pandemic because everyone was quarantined. Another thing it had mentioned is games like kahoot and duolingo which are interactive games that help the students learn while also having fun. There are also learning management systems such as noodle and canvas which track student’s progress and can be used for certain projects in schools. A huge thing is online interactive libraries which allow student access to books and websites without having to go in and renting books. This has helped a lot of students and their work for research and projects. I told A.I. what I learned in my article about how research shows that education has helped technology and chat GPT agrees that many experts have advocated for technology use and mentioned how it can benefit the STEM world of education. One thing I found incorrect was when I asked when A.I. was first used in education it said the 2010’s, but when I did my research I found out it was actually first used in the early 1980s. Overall, I think technology is beneficial and obviously so does A.I.

The philosophy of education
An article that I found in the is “Philosophy of Technology Assumptions in Educational Technology Leadership’’ published by Mark David Webster. Philosophy of technology is the study of technology and how it changes and affects human’s lives. Oliver and Selena were two researchers who argued that research is important when it comes to education and how people react to technology. It is important to study the difference technology makes for the teachers and the students. Education has also really grown technology and all of technology’s uses. It is not only used in schools, anyone can search up almost anything and can almost always find the answers to that question. This has made technology very popular and many people have found great uses for it. Many of the studies that were conducted involved people in technology leadership in education. Half of these people were school district technology instructors and half of them were institutional technology specialists. Many of these people saw a need for technology and they think it has really helped education grow. I would not say this article was bias because it gave real facts and people’s opinions, however these people giving this feedback were all people who use and work with technology everyday which means they may speak highly of it because it is what they work with and for. The message and results that I saw in this article are about the same compared to what I have read before. Almost all of the articles that I have read and seen have had good things to say when it comes to technology in schools.

documentary: the rise of technology in education
The documentary I found was one on YouTube called “A.I. and the future of education’’. I chose this because the title is exactly what I am interested in and looking for. The biggest question that the documentary asks and one that I am very interested in is how will technology keep growing and what will it look like in about ten – twenty years from now. The education system that we use today is very similar to the one being used two hundred years ago. This is a system where the computer generates and someone else creates the format. This is similar to the educational books and websites that are used in classrooms today. The main focus of education that is described in this video is kids need to know how to do many different things and are expected to have and be able to complete more than one job. Many of the people that were talking in this documentary are scientists and researchers who study technology and  have a lot of knowledge on the subject. I wouldn’t really say that technology was portrayed a certain negative and positive way it was more of a study on technology and how it has evolved in not just education, but also just over time. If I had to answer the question I previously asked about where will technology be in the years, I would guess it will have evolved even more and younger kids will get introduced to technology earlier on. This documentary taught me a lot about how much technology has grown and how it will keep growing. I was surprised to see how even before technology was introduced, it has traces of it back a long time ago and those people might’ve not even known how far it would go.

Primary post interview
I chose to do my interview on a kindergarten teacher at the school my mom works at. I thought this would be beneficial to my research because I am talking about education in my blog, specifically the younger students. The first question I asked was how much has technology changed since she first started 25 years ago and said that technology was rarely existent in education.  It started to really become prominent in 2020 during COVID for the younger students. If I would’ve asked a high school educator, they probably would’ve said it was used much earlier, but for the younger students it is different. During quarantine, they had to do daily zoom meetings with her and then do an assignment typically not on an electronic device in case students did not have anything at home to use. After COVID hit, it was used in the students everyday lives. They used it to play educational games and do math and spelling practice. It is not only used by the students, but also by parents. Class dojo has become very popular. It is a communication platform used mainly by parents, but also by the students. It tells parents how their students are doing and also reminds students of what needs to be done in order to be all caught up in class. I asked her how she thought this has helped the students and if it has helped her at all. It definitely helps the students attention span and is something most of them are comfortable with. “You would be surprised with how many five and six year olds are comfortable and familiar with technology. Almost all of them come in not knowing how to read and write, but they almost always know how to work an iPad or computer.’’ This honestly doesn’t surprise me because of how much technology has grown and how early it is introduced. It is also very helpful for the students because they almost always enjoy being on technology and is a good way to give the teacher a break and give the students their independence. I honestly went in with many questions and was shocked with how much technology was used at such a young age and how fast it grew. The only thing I did not get to learn more about was AI because at this young age they don’t really know what that is and how to use it, which honestly might be a good thing.

Computer Mediated Communication and the Online Classroom Review
The book that I chose was “Computer Mediated Communication and the Online Classroom’’. This is an older book which I think is important to note and also read about because it compares and contrasts how technology used to be compared to now. It is set up differently compared to a story book and has certain sections that explain certain parts of technology and how they were used. It starts out by talking about computer mediated communication which is known as “CMC’’ in the book. It talks about how it has become very popular and how it is helpful in certain aspects of education, however it makes it harder for these kids to develop good social habits and a healthy social environment. For reference this book was published in 1995 so a lot has changed then compared to now, and if the communication was bad then, just imagine how bad it is now. It also talks about computer access for students with special needs or who need accommodations. One of the things they talked about doing us helping with the hearing impaired and sign language. They thought of keeping all of those students in one classroom and doing things almost strictly online. Some of the students feedback looked like this. “I feel more comfortable with discussions through the VAX and “it helped my English skills.’’           A shy student said “I prefer discussions through the VAX because I do not have to worry about people looking at me. I feel more comfortable.’’ This shows the comfort students have in learning online which has helped many students immensely. Some students prefer to learn strictly in person and hands on and believe they retrieve the information better compared to a screen. It is not only helpful for students, but also for the educators teaching no matter who they are teaching. They can communicate with other teachers online and get helpful tips and constructive criticism on how to use the software and how to effectively teach students. It is always important to work together as educators and get many opinions and new teaching styles. This is also very popular and highly admired because it allows students to speak to other students from a different state or country even, where they wouldn’t get that opportunity if it wasn’t for this technology. To go along with that, the nice thing about technology is it makes communication easier and it allows a lot more access to talking with other people. The negative thing that CMC faces is language barriers, it is mainly focused on English. This can be a problem because people from other countries who don’t speak English can’t communicate or utilize this software like kids who do speak English and are familiar with the language. Since this was written a long time ago, it has changed quite a bit since then. Now you can communicate on the internet through almost any language and find things on the web that is in that language. I really like this book because it shows how technology used to be compared to now. I also really like it because it shows the complaints and issues people have had with it back then and how many of them are figured out now and are easily accessible. COVID really changed the educational technology realm and is something that many people would have never guessed would happen or be able to happen in the time period this book was written and published. This book ranges from technology being used for students with special needs to technology being used for educators. I am happy I gave this book a chance because it really did teach me a lot!

Types of AI
There are 4 main types of artificial intelligence. The first one is reactive machines which an example of this would be Netflix recommendations that pop up. The second type is limited memory machines, the best example that is becoming more popular are self driving cars. The third type is theory of mind which is AI being able to feel and read emotions just like humans. The last one is self existence and this would essentially be artificial intelligence having a conscious. This type does not exist yet, but scientists are trying to make it happen.

Yang LeCun
The person I chose for this assignment is Yang LeCunn. He is the chief scientist of AI and is a French American computer scientist. He is actually the chief of the Facebook AI Research Fair and joined Facebook in 2013. I am not going to do an interview on him, but i will be incorporating him in my research. I chose to do research on him because he studies AI which is something I am very interested in. He is also a Silver Professor at New York University part time. He also received the EE Diploma on electronics which is why I trust his research. He is also a member of the US National Academy of Engineering which highlights his smarts. I really appreciated his look on AI and what he has learned over time. He studies a lot of machine science and AI which goes along with the engineering aspect of his profession. I think he has a lot to teach and show me and I am excited to learn more.

I was in Philly when they won and it was a crazy but amazing experience. It was so cool seeing all the fans come together and be apart of something!! The eagles have some crazy fans, but they love their team.
Tumblr media
Meet me in broad Street
A philly sports fan? Well they’re just crazy!  Unfortunately many people think we are nasty humans that just love to torture opposing teams fans, but other people may see a fan base that will go the extra mile for their team. Now I may be biased, but Philly sports fans are die hard! Sometimes it may be painful to be a fan when our teams lose, but when we win it’s a WIN! In 2017,  Eagles fans stood out in the cold on New Year's Eve to watch a game against the Dallas Cowboys.  This game did not go in Philadelphia’s favor, but this was the game that took us to the NFC playoffs, and later the Superbowl! After a big game, fans take themselves to the streets of Philadelphia where they later end up on Broad Street, this is a place where celebration begins.
This year on February 9th, the Eagles participated in their 4th Super Bowl down the bayou in New Orleans. Playing the Kansas City Chiefs, who were competing for their 3rd superbowl in a row, the Eagles were prepared to dominate. With the score of 40-22 the Philadelphia Eagles were now WORLD CHAMPIONS! You can only imagine what the city looked like, NBC 10 reporter Johnny Archer said “The most passionate fans in the country by far.” News stations all over were able to capture the flock of green, it was a very special moment for the city. Another thing Philly fans are infamous for is climbing the street poles. The Mayor of Philadelphia, Cherelle Parker told fans “Do not climb light poles, or anything else!” Fans of course had their comments towards that, but they proceeded to do it anyway. This time fans went the extra mile to even steal the light poles  and pass them through crowds! As we take a further dive into this blog we will begin to talk about other Philly teams, their wins, and players' reactions about Philly sports fans.

I am also doing my topic on technology and I totally agree that technology has changed music!! I love how you gave certain examples on how technology has changed it.
Guitar riffs & licks
I originally planned to kick off this blog by talking about the evolution of music and how technology has shaped it. But then I realized there's one thing I've been thinking about a lot lately: how technology has changed the way we play guitar. While it’s made playing more accessible, it also seems to be shifting the focus away from mastering traditional techniques.
Thanks to digital tools, apps, and learning platforms, more people than ever can pick up a guitar and sound decent in no time. But in a world where you can learn a solo with the help of a tutorial or an app, are we losing that raw, hands-on experience of actually mastering the instrument?
This blog isn’t going to be about arguing whether tech is good or bad for music—it’s more about how these advancements have made guitar playing easier, but might also be taking away from the deeper skill and connection that comes with traditional methods.
Music always reflects the culture of its time, and guitar playing is no different. So, let’s dive into how these changes are shaping the way we approach the instrument and what it means for the future of guitar playing.

Technology takeover
My topic as you probably could tell by the title is all about technology and the many parts of life it is involved in. I will be talking about what I believe it has helped and also not helped, along with many other researchers takes as well. I already have previous knowledge on this subject and what it has done for education and businesses. I have seen technology grow throughout my public school education and I believe there is both good and bad things that come along with it. I think that a good thing that has come from it is school work being able done without teacher grading to help with their time management. Many of my assignments in college so far and also in high school are papers that are done with research online and many assignments and discussion pages are due via technology which has been very helpful.
A negative thing however is technology has taken away many social interactions that kids need to learn. It can cause mental illnesses and create children and teens to become alone and without a social life. I would say that my blog is different than other blogs because I have personal experience and have seen it within my generation and even myself. I chose this blog and what I think my topic truly means is it shows the differences technology makes in society and how far it has come. Some important names are Katherine who invented the who had the technology transfer theory and Guo who is also apart of the technology transfer theory and they wanted to see the productivity growth. (https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s10961-024-10184-5.pdf).
We will be talking about that theory from the article from the library called “ Technology transfer and innovation efficiency in a large emerging economy: an integrative perspective of absorptive capacity and the technology ladder’’.I find this interesting and something that many people don’t realize all the time. Tedchnology has really taken over and I think it is very interesting to see the results from it. The picture from this link in this article really shows a good visual of how technology is growing and changing. (https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007/s10961-024-10184-5.pdf).
