This is very distasteful. To know and understand the systematic oppression that black men have to live under -- A rapper whose music glorifies a lifestyle of the pretenses that allows that system to thrive, allows the media to perpetuate the negative undertones of the black community on this magazine cover so he can get publicity. Music, albeit is entertainment, creates a perspective of life and culture for many people. At what point are these rappers going to stop selling out their people just for fame. The more I look at this cover, the more I hate it because it is a stark reality, yet rappers glorify that reality which only reinforces the oppression. #complex #pushat #hiphop #culture
